It's the end of the year again, where the pressure of wanting to "flex" or look fulfilled for the year,
Speaking of flex and looking to fulfill it for the end of the year. It depends on geographical location, in the US the time for the preparation of the new year has passed but in countries mostly Africa this is the moment for their preparation for the end of the year activities.

So many people look for get rich schemes with ridiculous percentage gain, this scammers know there's an increase desperation by people this period.
Yes, but with the report and ROI investment scam scheme. I believe only the newbies will fall for get rich pyramid scam scheme.

104  Economy / Reputation / Re: BlackHatCoiner decided to take a leave from bitcointalk on: December 10, 2023, 10:54:31 PM
BlackHatCoiner was truly one of the assets of this forum but I think he left the forum because he might have to do something which's more important than this forum for him. The guy has been very contributive and we all appreciate that but sometimes we have to take such decisions and that's basically for good of everyone. I wish that where-ever he is he may get all the happiness in the world and I'm pretty sure that he will be back on the forum when everything is okay for him.
The BlackHatCoiner exit reminds me of Lauda's exit post years ago and with the help and service he has rendered to this forum the major reason why he will leave the forum will be real-life responsibility with the limited time he has spent on coding since he enthusiast of coding.
In the meantime, we can only guess the reason why he leaves until he tells us about it but he chooses to make it private, and since it's something that is worth it.
105  Economy / Reputation / Re: After Sinbad, which mixer is Next To Be Shutdown? on: December 09, 2023, 11:46:01 PM
In the future to prevent crypto mixers from troubling the authority they will increase the time to do some background checks on their customer. I'm saying this due to how abusive leads to KYC in crypto casinos.
That defeats the purpose of mixing
Do you think using centralized crypto mixing doesn't have the chance of defeating the purpose of mixing? You entrusted someone you don't know from Adam to mix your coin for you. You don't know if the service of the crypto is mixed very well, and you don't know if the mixer is operated by the Feds. An example is how Sinbad use innocent people's fund for their dirty fund.
The only mixing that didn't defeat the purpose of mixing is the decentralized one.

they have to trust the mixer in case they ask for KYC will they do because, in the first place, they use the mixer to anonymize their identity and they will also fear that the mixer will hostage their information.
I'm not talking about KYC but the mixer doing some background checks on the wallet address if the transaction comes from a flag, criminal, or scammer wallet.

If one mixer will do that background checking the clients will just choose other mixers that will not do background checking, we cannot change the business model of the mixer that's how they worked and that's how they are being patronized.
They are here to stay if authorities go after them or consider them illegal they always have the darknet to turn to.
How will users of a centralized crypto mixer know that the mixer they used does some background check on them?
Mixing is not illegal and it was recognized by FinCen but rendering the service for criminals, drug lords, etc is what is illegal.
106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 09, 2023, 11:18:26 PM
There is a lot to learn for someone who wants to have crypto market analysis skills. And it's not as easy as they imagine because most of them will stop in the middle of the road and many won't even be able to carry it out.
Agree with what you said but something good doesn't always come easy and it's better to bear with the hardness of having the rightful knowledge in crypto trading than be lazy and lose money in almost every trading which is the exact reason we see the stats of traders that quit trading to be higher than those that keep trading.

Good things often come with difficulty and that is where the challenge lies for us. If we are able to get through it, we can definitely get or achieve what we want.
But if we don't want to or are lazy, we won't get anything and we might even lose the money.
In crypto trading, we are required always to learn to analyze because the crypto market is always changing. And if we are not willing to learn more, we will find it difficult to profit from trading. We also definitely don't want to accept continuous losses, so we must be able to learn from many sources so we can improve our analytical skills.
Yeah, no one gets easy there's a sacrifice and devotion of time to analyzing the market. However, profit-making in crypto trading doesn't solely depend on knowledge trading and constant research about the market.
Crypto is not for everyone and if someone whose trading is not his thing trades with adequate knowledge he will still make a loss in the end.

I wonder who will use them then. I guess the average joe won't have a problem with chain analysis, but I don't think they will survive long enough since it is unlikely that they will attract big customers. Any privacy enthusiast would use coinjoin or other options if that is the norm imo. On the other hand, they don't have to explicitly tell the public and just work together with the government if profit is still the goal. CMIIW.
With the news over the internet about the crypto mixer and the Bitcointalk forum banning anything that has to do with crypto mixer which crypto Twitter also talks about I don't think the average Joe will use their service and the next thing they will do now is to stop their operation as Sinbad and start operation in a new name just like they once did with Blender

It's a piece of good news for Bitcoin miners in the UAE. However, the news about the Phoenix group order from Whatsminer is because they well-established cryptocurrency mining hardware retailer in UAE nothing more.
In addition, the group also provide exchange service with cloud mining, mining, and hosting service also in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
110  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 08, 2023, 07:47:36 PM
I don't understand what's anonymous gambling sites have to do with your post.

The another alternative is using time lock, you can lock your coins how long you want.

Or the best solution is to learn about self control without need to use any tool that could give drawbacks of hack, urgent need, human mistake etc.

I will also assume that am hearing something called anonymous gambling for the very first time, what comes my mind was the idea that or can gamble and also make use of the safety privacy gambling practice to connect his wallet to the gambling platform or make use of a decentralized crypto gambling platform, but anyway, this is going to be another means for learning each day about gambling and some of its anonymous sites.
Yes, this is a new thing but despite the anonymity, liberation, and no KYC advantage it presents it also has the disadvantage of the user losing their fund. According to the OP "Fairlay - has a very high limit for bets, especially on US sports, and you can easily bet there $5,000 - $20,000 on a game there, even more."
It is better to use a trusted crypto booker.

What does he do? Contact Fairlay? They won't help him. These guys have an instant link registration, 100% anonymous, 0 details about yourself, not even an email.

You said not even an email address. Why does the Fairlay bookmarker requested email for signin?
Second. Why would new user contact the booker before he can register on the platform? Which I think could also be a way of the platform have chance to steal from user
111  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 07, 2023, 11:52:26 PM
You can't compare then and now the forum is more free from spam post if not for this merits system I wonder how the forum would have look by now, where newbies keeps spamming and they gets promoted to the next rank without doing what it takes to merits the next rank.
Though lazy posters especially newbies that are finding it difficult to meet the next rank would say is bad but technically this merits has shown how constructives and creative we seems to be, and anyone who ranked up so easily then you need to watch out to such person he is putting more efforts in discovery or tends to be more creatives.
I don't know how the forum was before so I would have been able to tell if the merit does limit spam. However, it does not provide a total solution because I have seen quality posts with no merit while posts with no contribution or solution were giving merit and I have also seen some local board posts being merited just by posting information about a new open campaign on this forum which is sign that the merit system was in favor of people that didn't participate in the local board.
If the campaign manager can start to exclude merit accumulated in the local board yes I would say the merit system limits spam.
112  Economy / Reputation / Re: After Sinbad, which mixer is Next To Be Shutdown? on: December 07, 2023, 11:29:07 PM
Simple question, difficult answer.
Many mixers are active on Bitcointalk but how long will each one last?
Seems to be just a matter of time until we'll have our next mixer shutdown.

Pick your one, which is next!
Did you mean we should pick only from those ones active here?
Any centralized mixer is allowed to pick. No matter if it's from Bitcointalk or not.
No one can tell which crypto mixer will be next to shut down since the cryptocurrency tumbler is acknowledged by FinCen and the only crypto mixer that deals with the mixing of dirty/bad fund are shut down.
In the future to prevent crypto mixers from troubling the authority they will increase the time to do some background checks on their customer. I'm saying this due to how abusive leads to KYC in crypto casinos.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antpool set to return 83.4btc transaction fee paid. on: December 06, 2023, 10:13:19 PM

If the hacker can manage to send the previous transaction with 83BTC as transaction then he's still in possession of the wallet key and in this situation the only to verify the true ownership is through the signing message from self-custodial wallet address that the wallet owner once send BTC to before the hacking accident.

What you mean is signing message an old receiving address, this is actual a good way but what if the address doesn’t belong to the real owner of the wallet or probably the address private key or seed phrase is no longer available?
I am talking about the old wallet that didn't belong to the wallet owner which is someone he knows and have sent cryptocurrency to or received transaction from them who can help him write a signing message which is just like a recommendation letter.
Another means of getting the authority involved, provide proof of ownership and do a physical collection of the BTC.
114  Other / Meta / Re: Sanctioned Services and the service traceability to this forum, Any danger? on: December 06, 2023, 09:07:46 PM
I believe theymos have learned about the Sinbad dirty act and how they will always come up with a new business name and website to use good people's funds to hide their dirty funds is the reason why he wants the promotion or conversation about the mixer to end next year.
Sadly, a lot of decent people who utilize their services will suffer harm.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My btc and eth general trading stradegy best so far on: December 06, 2023, 08:42:52 PM
If the flash market crash prepares there's no way you're going to achieve anything with the buy order limit you set for Bitcoin if we're talking about 8months ago I would say there's a chance for the flash dump to meet your request but now that investors are the greed of getting more BTC before next year no. I will advise you to change it to a possible 40K now that we're within the range of 43 - 44K price.

It could be. If the bad guys were in charge of Sinbad, that explains why they were quickly trusted enough to send them millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin. Pretty much anything can be used for good or evil, but starting a business for evil is very different than a legitimate business being abused.
[/quote]
Agreed but is it hard for the authorities to know those in charge just like they did with some mixer that was shut down?
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments must have good plan very soon on: December 05, 2023, 11:32:09 PM
If I understand you're waiting or hoping the exact people (government) who are the major source of the problem to have a good plan very soon? Do you think they care when they are being controlled by a powerful organization that benefits from their act of war?
It is the people that need to create the change the world needs just like how Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin to implement a change of relying on centralized organization and limitation of border-to-border payment.

117  Economy / Gambling / Re: .com Bookmakers with GOOD first deposit bonus on: December 05, 2023, 10:44:14 PM
It's not a problem to suggest a specific bookmaker, but you should always do your own research before relying on recommendations, including those from casino guides.
Having said that, I think all of the long-term established casinos that are still doing their advertising on this forum are good to go judging by their existence since the forum does accommodation scam casinos.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antpool set to return 83.4btc transaction fee paid. on: December 03, 2023, 07:52:02 PM
The record breaking high transaction fee of 83 bitcoin paid for a transaction of bitcoin which the block was mined by Antpool had earlier reported here which was found out to be a hacked wallet due to weak randomization of seed has been after a tweet on X. Now the pool that got lucky to mine the block in which is AntPool is ready to return the excess fees. Although it is not mandatory to return the fees but they are willing to return it.

Now the procedure is to just sign a message using the private of the sending address. The procedure is as explained here by AntPool with deadline set to 10 December.

My problem or say concern is what if the hacker is still in possession of the keys and ends signing the message.
If the hacker can manage to send the previous transaction with 83BTC as transaction then he's still in possession of the wallet key and in this situation the only to verify the true ownership is through the signing message from self-custodial wallet address that the wallet owner once send BTC to before the hacking accident.

119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Clipboard Virus! on: December 03, 2023, 07:31:58 PM
My opinion about how you get this is I think you may have downloaded a software that isn't downloaded from the original website and may be infected with that malware.

That could be the answer since, I recently got this device. So a lot of software had to be reinstalled.
Reinstallation of software shouldn't bother you more than your safety and the first mistake you made is not formatting the entire hard drive since the OS was bought from someone. In the crypto space, the only person you can trust is yourself.

But that's not what I'm worrying about. I worry about windows defender not detecting it.
Most detect viruses but do not always detect Clipboard malware. After having anti-virus and anti-malware on your computer you shouldn't rely on them to detect every attack because they only work the way they are programmed.
120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the difference between a BTC Mixer and No KYC casino on: December 03, 2023, 07:09:23 PM
After the 1st of January, all Bitcoin Mixers would be banned from the forum, that is what I understand after reading theymos topic. My question is for everyone! Consider a casino platform that does not want its users to go through KYC.
The idea of BTC mixer to be blamed for this forum is made in other prevent this forum from being seen as a dark net because every mixer that hard issue with the Fed in the area of money laundering should be associated with this forum.
About the casino that didn't require KYC as an option for mixing coins won't last forever and for the record, most casinos also change their KYC policy at some point to prevent them from being penalized by the government after their casino is used for money laundering.

They have a smart contract that directly forms a bridge to wallets on either the Ethereum blockchain or the Binance chain. They use the same technique as a Bitcoin mixer wherein they convert deposited Bitcoin to what we know as Wrapped Bitcoin on either of these two or other blockchains, isn't that a mixer when you withdraw the deposit amount to your chosen wallet?
Have you tried that yourself?
Once you deposit a certain fund on a casino you'll have to wage a certain percentage of the fund before you'll be able to withdraw it.

I understand that it is not possible to deposit Bitcoin on a smart contract-based non-kyc casino. What I understand is that it is easy to convert Bitcoin into other altcoin-based Bitcoin and then what will happen? Will theymos again ban them?
No. Most casinos are already regulated and if casinos will be banned on this forum it will be those that are not regulated.

I have other options to hide my Bitcoin identity such as I can convert my Bitcoin to XMR and then it won't be easy to trace it.

What do you think will be the next option for Bitcoin mixers, is it no KYC casino or Monero?
I hope you understand that. BTC mixers are still functioning but will be banned next year on this forum.
