Unsure why this 66 page thread moved in its entirety to investigations? (pmed GM)

103  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Refused From S9 Warranty, Last Worst Mining Company, Don't Order S9 on: August 30, 2016, 06:35:12 PM
I saw 15 S7LN and didn't have a single bad board in 'em, but I did have three bad PSUs. One was a shot fan so I swapped it out but the other two were straight up gone. Even considering only electronics failures in PSUs that's still 2/15 for 13%

Not exactly six sigma defect rates...

Can you name any mining product that is built to six sigma? I'd highly doubt that and if they were you'd be calling them over designed. We need our miners to survive 6-12 months not 6-12 years.

Updated prices.

You can lock it yourself with bottom left button.

Not quite sure why a centrifugal fan has all its sides vented if its in push configuration as they usually intake from the ends and spray air radially. You control the direction of flow with a cover or case which they're not using. So if its in pull configuration then how is it generating enough pressure as a centrifugal fan surrounded by open vents?

Same registrant information from other domains related to him and the same discrepancy between time of death and last activity on his account. I'd like to believe that he indeed died, but it's getting harder to believe so. If he did, someone had access to his things, which I find odd.

Won't updated still update if it was auto renewed by godaddy? If he had a 3 year lease on that domain, the last time it would renew would be a year before it expired which is what matches with the info.
108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S9 Setup [HD] on: August 23, 2016, 04:49:18 PM
Dogie, thanks for the quick reply.

But i sign into antpool with an email address. Ive tried logging in with the only other username that comes out from the antpool account, but it doesnt log on successfully. Do i use that username for 'username.worker'?

Yes use that username, mine is dogie.

so I can use dogie.anythingIwantherewhichisjustformyownrecordsofwhatminerisdoingwhat, or dogie.S9 its up to you
109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S9 Setup [HD] on: August 23, 2016, 02:45:41 PM
Regarding the instruction to register, what is the 'username' in the 'username.worker'? As i understand it, 'worker' can be any name i choose, right?
Username is your antpool username you used to sign up on the site with. Worker can be anything.

What if he formatt the laptop before using?

Ok, human diversity guarantees that someone will format a newly acquired 2nd hand computer without even looking at it but, seriously?

guys dont be naive ,i will recover your contents even if you format n number of times or even it is destroyed i could recover some contents. it will only take a day or two depending upon the size and rotation speed so lets keep this speculation aside

By formatting it I think he's referring to a proper wipe. Even Windows 10 offers doing a write cycle to an entire partition when resetting.
111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive SpondooliesTech SP10 Setup [HD] on: August 22, 2016, 06:20:26 PM
As long as it's compatible - pinout, signals, physical size etc it should be fine. The 1200W rating is the maximum power it'll output, not a fixed requirement that will blow up your miner with too much juice.

Yup. If you're in doubt about compatibility past the gold finger pinout you can set the miner to use a 'generic PSU' so it won't try and talk to it.

Item 8.01      Other Events

On July 20, 2016, BTCS Digital Manufacturing (“DM”), a wholly owned subsidiary of BTCS Inc. (the “Company”) suspended its North Carolina transaction verification services facility operations. The recent reduction in the block reward from 25 bitcoins to 12.5 bitcoins, often referred to as the halving, coupled with the facilities cooling system failing, has resulted in DM being unable to meet certain of its financial commitments. The Company is pursuing the following options: i) seeking additional capital to potentially bring DM back online; ii) a possible sale of DM; iii) and permanently winding down DM’s operations. If the Company ceases operations at DM, it may relocate its transaction verification services business to others data centers which may be more appropriate for the Company’s current scale of operations.
115  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: August 16, 2016, 08:49:02 PM
I wonder whom they addressing when the thread reads "16nm...sales to public starting shortly", and how is this supposed to help decentralization of the BTC network as was stated in the quote of the 1st entry in this thread?

I made the thread based off their tweets and no point changing the title now as it remains a record of their empty promises.
116  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS][UK to World] Lots of PSUs! [14th Aug price drop] on: August 16, 2016, 08:11:07 AM

...
I'm trying to summarise several pages of information with proof of their son's involvement in one line.

News dogie ?

? Nothing, neither the family nor his business partner replied to any of my attempts and regardless about knowing nearly everything about him, without being able to get copies of the death certificate there isn't much I can do.
