Not sure what the point of the freezer is here, its just burning power that heats up your room to provide a small amount of dangerously cold intake. Your extraction system looks fine and will be better on its own.

What specifically would base64 images help?

250 watts per PCI-E 6-pin connector is within the connector specs

Its crazy how short everyone's memory is. When I suggested you could run the S7 off 4 PCI-E (~275W) everyone shit their pants, even though that's exactly what they'd already been doing for years.
625  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: January 12, 2016, 01:12:47 PM
On the other hand, they have specifically hyped that the A4 is "proven technology" in their press release about it, and SPECIFIED it had already taped out.

Or only minor design changes + node shrink.
626  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 11, 2016, 04:07:28 AM
I had two guys I know each offer over a million dollars to purchase or invest, and they responded that they weren't interested but would keep their info for the future.

Purchase I can understand, BTCS have theoretical dibs on everything so its not their [pretending Spondoolies is separate] decision. But saying no to investment, the fuck?

Sorry for asking should this have been answered before... Is there any actual proof that the chips for the SP50 are finished?
If so why they don't just sell chips if in need of money? I just can't understand the SP management decisions since they partnered with the slimy rip-off company that Genesis Mining is.
No.

@dogie what's the status on the sales commission they owe you?
Unpaid, negotiations with their lawyers were a joke, update soon.

The only thing I don't know yet is how to get only one of the 2 boards working (either top or bottom).
Any ideas?

Disable all the loops on that board? Don't know how that's coded though.
630  Other / Meta / Re: How to check If someone added me to their default trust list? on: January 10, 2016, 03:09:55 PM
Years ago Facebook (yeh, I said the "F" word...) has/had a program where everyone's name was placed around a circle (the name was radiating out like spokes on a wheel with a clear empty section in the middle) and a line was drawn from every person to every other person they are friends with using your own circle of friends as the names to create the circle with.

Much earlier than that I saw on a program like 60 Minutes (might have even *been* 60 mins) where Law Enforcement developed something similar - all names were feed into the data base and it showed all the connections of the people eg some results would be two crescents facing each other - each crescent linked names between itself while only one or two threads crossed from one crescent to the other. (the links from one to the other were who they targeted...)

It's the same thing that the graph on this page is trying to draw.

I have absolutely no idea what your 2 month necro post was trying to say.
631  Other / Meta / Re: How many red trust users are ACTUALLY scammers? on: January 10, 2016, 03:20:24 AM
We've been promised a new trust system and a new forum for years now.

But your account was registered in February?
632  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 16nm ASIC, 10THS/MINER,100w/THS on wall. on: January 10, 2016, 12:20:00 AM

the other supplier miner price may be dropped to competive with us. but new asic is not like one piece of cake. so, in next coming 6 months, only this aisc can do  100W/THS .
I am NOT counting 21etc, which seems to think that stupid "bitcoin computer" is worth selling.

21inc do have efficient chips hashing away in traditional miners. But VC money = "look how we're innovating and leading the market" yada yada so all we get to see is the RaspberryPis mining machines.
633  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 16nm ASIC, 10THS/MINER,100w/THS on wall. on: January 09, 2016, 08:55:16 PM
So at this point in time this is just an idea. You have taken the Bitfury spec, done a small amount of maths, nocked up a graphic that bears no relationship to the final product and started a thread?

He has Bitfury's documentation, chips soon. This is a guy that has made plenty of previous miners so its not as if its just that rendering. As he said (and I said previously), its a mockup of the formfactor and nothing more.
634  Other / Meta / Re: How many red trust users are ACTUALLY scammers? on: January 09, 2016, 04:05:39 PM
It all makes sense now... you've been trying to shutdown scammers to eliminate the "competition" of your own scamming through an alt that you probably purchased from one of the glorious account scalpers!  Shocked  Wink

That actually describes Quickseller.   Wink

I have only one account, and I dislike the sale and use of alternate accounts.  To me there is no reason other than to eventually scam.

Same here, I've only ever had this account. There is no reason to have more than one account. The only reason people have more than one account is to either build it up and sell it, scam or spam the forum because of a signature campaign.

Bot accounts are sensible because it separate automated activities (information scraping, APIs, campaign moderating bots etc) away from human activities. Or "official" accounts like BITMAIN, which is an entity rather than a person. Other than that I really can't think of a legitimate use/need for "alt" accounts.

Answering this thread, the answer is red trust users don't need to be scammers to go red. They're red because they're untrustworthy to the point that trading should be avoided with them, because there's an unnecessarily high chance of something going wrong during the transaction.
635  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Code taric declared by bitmain on: January 08, 2016, 07:39:56 PM
How many import/export/customs threads do we need in the hardware section.  That is all I see Huh

They're nearly all by him, complaining about customs handling of Bitmain products. Which he continues to buy. And makes a new thread for. Every. Ti. Me.
636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 16nm ASIC, 10THS/MINER,100w/THS on wall. on: January 07, 2016, 04:08:24 PM
I may not know a lot about electronics as you would say, but I also don't think that deep into this rendering as you but at the fact that it looks cool to me and realize it is probably not the final product.

I don't know why anyone is looking at the rendering, they're stock CAD models he's used just to show the formfactor of the device.
637  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 16nm ASIC, 10THS/MINER,100w/THS on wall. on: January 07, 2016, 02:50:08 PM
Yesterday it was 1000w today 100w??

The post has not been edited. Its 100W/TH = 1000W.

J if you're still in control of this bitcointalk account can you message me on skype please.
send me message.

I think you are failing to see the purpose of the dog's post.  If you are the same owner of the account as in the past, you will have his contact information on skype, and will be able to message him from the same account "you" used on skype in the past as well.

Confirmed its still him, same guy who did Lightning ASIC based devices.

640  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S5 Setup [HD] on: January 05, 2016, 01:05:18 PM
Hi Guys,

My s5 has been sick lately ever since Jan 1st.... online with no hashing.... Freezes quite frequently too...
I had to reboot regularly and changed to lower freq but still sick.
No bad chips. HWE% is very low. Latest FW. Temps 40s
Any ideas how to cure this puppy.... underclock? additional fans?
Perhaps it's the symptom to its old age....
I hate to write this off.... the S5 is still a very good workhorse.

Thanks
TMT
