because im running 2 fans instead of one is it safe to say i should be able to drop the fan speed percentage to 50%?

Just monitor your temps along with any fan speed changes to check they're okay.

I have close to 1000 posts. I'm not even a hero member yet. I guess it will take me time until I get there. It will happen one day though, I'm pretty active here.

Close to another two years, yeah.

Their US address is obviously trash, NO ONE would rent a in a tower in the middle of prime Manhattan for miner production or even offices.
Quote
1384 Broadway, New York, NY 10018 ( Ground Floor )

Their Japanese address is similarly prime and false
Quote
1, Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo

Even their listed US phone number a) resolves to Brooklyn (not Manhattan) and b) is already known for scamming.

This shit is so lazy its annoying.
425  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: March 02, 2016, 02:59:33 AM
I think Joby was trying to say they are growing very fast and their need for silicon can overwhelm us

Does that not worry you - that there may be something illicit going on? No one is looking at the difficulty charts and thinking "I need to order me as many of those as exist", so if its not for making $/BTC, what else?
426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S7 vs S5 heat on: March 01, 2016, 02:01:54 PM
Yes, S7s run much hotter than S5s.

428  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: February 29, 2016, 12:24:20 PM
I'm surprised by how much BTC this forum has gotten though donations.
Most of it was received when the price of BTC was very low.

ya it is true most donator are from starting of btc time, but their are some donator who are running gambling site so they can afford to give 10 btc for donator id. they are wealthier and by donator account they can improve more for their site.

Yeah, although even most of those cashed it in when btc was <200. Bitmain did it to prevent phishing scammers (there were several each week) and Spondoolies did it to get max rank.
429  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 2000W Power Breakout Board (DPS2000BB to PC-Ie x12) on: February 29, 2016, 08:32:28 AM
@VirosaGITS

I spent the beginning of my venture playing with the J4bberwock's.  They were difficult to amass in quantity and given my ambient conditions those boards rose an additional 30+degrees Celsius.

This is what I was seeing at full load for the J4bberwock:

Versus what I am currently seeing on my unit:

Given the lead times and my quick test, I made a lot specifically for myself to eek out a bit of efficiency.  Cheesy

Thanks for humoring me. In depth technicalities is a bit beyond me but i like amassing the general/conceptual knowledge. 100F seem pretty close to body temperature i believe? Thats like 37C? That seem cool to me.

So you mean its a power waste issue? But it would be how much? 2-3watts waste?

The pictures read Centigrade, not Fahrenheit. 100C > 37C.
430  Other / Meta / Re: Show "All" comments on topic link is gone on: February 29, 2016, 03:21:40 AM
the "All" thingy is only available on threads with less than 25 (or maybe 30) pages.

Why is that? I remember using it on a longer thread just awhile ago. Is this a new feature?

I'd guess it helps prevent DOS attacks by requesting a trillion items. Imagine one user making one request that pulls 40,000 posts and associated images from the database?
431  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 29, 2016, 12:24:51 AM
Do you have a resource for this or is it speculation? I am sincerely curious as I do not understand why they would not have a miner in hand. It is obvious they have the talent, either have or can get the money, and anything else needed.

Found the problem
432  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Miner X5 on BitFury 16nm chips on: February 28, 2016, 02:32:30 PM
The Ukraine is like the scam/hacking leader of the world.

Based on what? One could argue that is the US in the Bitcoin world - we've had BFL, Garza etc.
433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 27, 2016, 08:08:18 PM
but others have been here for much longer.
You keep referring to yourself as "we", like a consortium. Why? Who is we?

Please let us know if assistance is needed with anything.
If you want to help Guy, stay as far away from the case as you can. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=905210.msg13231891#msg13231891
434  Other / Meta / Re: idea--- A decentralised trust system on: February 27, 2016, 07:56:07 PM
Imho hf doesnt have the alt prob like we have, thats why everyone has a vote works. Also they go after sold accs.
Yes, the system on hf is a bit shaken but the one on tbn works nicely
Actually thinking about it, no one even so much as mentioned the trust system in my "a month in" TBN. Its way too dramatic here to implement that though
The system on tbn is centred around trades and actual exchanges so there are less issues over there, the system here is just open to interpretation, everything goes

alt account a: "Oh hello alt account b, that was a great trade we did, have some feedback".
435  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 26, 2016, 07:29:50 PM
Any idea how long till it's all over and we can hear your version of events?  I think most would like to see both sides.
About another 2 years - if Spondoolies / bitcoin lasts that long.

With dogie providing evaluations and comparisons of units while simultaneously working (read: exploiting) affiliate campaigns, getting paid by Bitmain to shill, etc. he is full of shit in many ways.. I am not sure what all of the background is but very interested in hearing Guy's side of the story when the lawsuit is done..
Exploting affiliate campaigns, what does that even mean? And I really love the irony of the statement that I am somehow financially biased against Spondoolies, when Spondoolies paid / will pay / are meant to have paid the most out of any manufacturer. I mean, that doesn't even make sense...

Dogie claims to be owed a substantial amount of money by SP-Tech for a referral campaign during the SP20 sales.
Most of it predated SP20s.

Dogie and Guy have a long-standing passive-aggressive catfight on the forum, it just escalated when dogie felt he was owed & denied payment from SP-T.
I was owed the majority of it from June 2014, I just got tired of being nice to someone who wasn't being nice back and filed in January 2016. That's a long, long time I gave them to sort out their shit. What you saw on the forum was due to Guy wanting an even higher score in the manufacturer trustworthiness thread than they deserved, because he wanted to use it to show investors they were the best company [remember those surveys that were commissioned]. For example, he was claiming they were an in hand only company when there was zero, zero chance that the SP50 generation wasn't going to require taking money up front.

Apparently 88/100 was an insult, so I was denounced from the industry for not bending to being bought off, and / or setting up the scene that any claim I would bring against them wasn't real. Some real dirty stuff going on with NDAs floating about.

Also, buyers with cash in hand seem to have a hard enough (impossible?) time getting  SP50's in their possession, I wouldn't hold my breath for anyone getting an evaluation SP50 in this lifetime.
I wouldn't hold my breath for even Spondoolies getting an SP50.
436  Other / Meta / Re: idea--- A decentralised trust system on: February 26, 2016, 10:41:25 AM
I think that if everyone's trust ratings count then there wouldnt be pressure on people in DT1

The entire forum would be controlled by those with the most accounts, not the most trustworthy.
437  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 26, 2016, 03:59:30 AM
I actually wasn't directing my comments specifically at you

You clearly were, you quoted my reply, to replied to elements of it, you used to "you" repeatedly.
438  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 25, 2016, 08:46:39 PM
So what is his motive then? Why doesn't he just walk away from Bitcoin and focus on something new? That doesn't make sense.
In my opinion, they'll be wound up soon enough. Trading while insolvent with no hopes of recovery will just get the directors in more trouble than they already are. He doesn't move out because that also requires money.

I am pretty sure that Mr. Corem and his development team have much better things to do than discuss their company plans with a bunch of people who clearly have way too much time on their hands.
SEC filings tell us all we need to know.

They produced ... equipment
Note the tense

what they have been doing is none of your business unless they want you to know it.
It is absolutely my business, I am their creditor.

perhaps like getting a real job
Have one, thanks.

Maybe even study for a proper engineering qualification?
Have one, thanks.
439  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 25, 2016, 07:41:32 PM
Ask yourself this, why would Guy Corem be pushing for a defensive GPU-only PoW system that would essentially end the hardware development by his company, unless he truly believed it was necessary for Bitcoin's survival?  I sincerely do not believe it to be out of spite.

Because his 'company' is already dead?
440  Other / Meta / Re: SSL Server Test results of bitcointalk.org on: February 25, 2016, 04:16:34 PM
I have thought every security results must be first forwarded to admin without publishing it.
This way potencial treats are increased i believe, this is valuable info for black hat..

But its just a public testing service?
