Confirmed, he's okay.

1102  Other / Meta / Re: Current Default Trust Network on: September 14, 2015, 01:41:59 PM
I'm rendering updated DefaultTrust visualisations at the moment, might help this thread.
1103  Other / Meta / Re: How to check If someone added me to their default trust list? on: September 14, 2015, 11:27:04 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/trust.txt.xz

I made it so that'll update every Saturday at 02:52 UTC. -> is "trusts", and -/> is "excludes". Only people with at least 1 post are included. If someone has never touched their trust list, then their trust in DefaultTrust is not shown.

*Fires up the shitty i7 rendering farm*

pretty sure quickseller isn't a girl. that's just a meme

Of course its not, that's "overly attached girlfriend" meme, AKA Laina Morris IRL. http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/overly-attached-girlfriend
1105  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vod is attempting to create unjust liabilities for me that was not consented to on: September 14, 2015, 05:23:25 AM
And you are not wanted.  Stop posting in that thread - you've created many other crybaby threads to post in.

"Scam Accusation" type threads are not allowed to be self moderated for a reason.

Yeah that is generally true.

All teh IPz I have on tspacepilot, very outdated but why not let it show up in Google?

Where are they from?
1107  Other / Meta / Re: Your IP HAS SOME EVIL POINTS? on: September 13, 2015, 09:35:03 PM
In short, it blocks spammers and is barely noticeable for individuals.

And if they do, it makes a small contribution to the costs of cleaning it up.

Its not exclusive, I've had one for a few days Wink
1109  Other / Meta / Re: Please ban new account in "Speculation" on: September 12, 2015, 05:21:25 PM
Nuking includes an IP ban, which does increase it. They are usually using unique, unbanned IP's the times I've looked.
How do you think they're getting ahold of infinite untarnished IPs? Is there a list of known spammy IPs that you could manually add some evil to?
1110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S3 Setup [HD] on: September 12, 2015, 11:23:42 AM
Took both your advice, got an additional router but changes the IP address of the S3 miner manually before connecting and somehow still managed to login using the default IP (may have been luck) password and IP have been changed and i've managed to connect to the miner through the router.
Set the network protocol to DHCP while you have access, its so much simpler. The S3 will then take whatever IP the router gives to it so it will always be able to connect / conencted to.

I've had a look at two different YouTube tutorial for configuration and a little confused on the "miner configuration", at the moment im registered with slushes pool;
Pool 1 - stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 / stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333
Pool1 worker - dumbasstest / os1234.dumbasstest
Pool1 password - anything

this is the information i'm inputting (tried different combinations)but it i'm still getting no response within the "Miner Status". i've also tried to use my waller address as pool1 worker but same outcome, is this not the correct information?

You need to sign up to the pool and use your own logins. See section 4 for how to enter pool information and register links.

Hi dogie,
I've tried previously to change to DHCP but i loose sight of the miner within the rooter settings so have to then restart it and start again (mind you i haven't got far so doesn't make much difference lol)

i previously purchased some Antminers U1 and U2 just to see how i got on with them and they worked fine with the setting...
"bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u os1234.dumbasstest -p anything -S all"
im no longer using them as it cost me more to run than what i make. These are the same setting i'm using for the S3 but Miner status are all blank.

im just baffled as to why im able to connect but not mine.

Will need a screenshot of the config and status pages.

1112  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer U3 Setup [HD] on: September 11, 2015, 08:16:27 AM
is there a cgminer for Mac OS ? I would like to connect a u3 to a Mac Mini.

See unofficial compilations here.
1113  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S4 Setup [HD] on: September 11, 2015, 08:15:45 AM
Could anyone help me locate which chain number 3 is of the four boards on the s4? Is it upper or lower and is it near the power supply?

 much thanks in advance :-)

See here for the port labellings on the controller board. Its better to trace the data cables from there then us give you the "should be this one" and it be wrong if they've reversed some cables.
1114  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S2 Setup [HD] on: September 11, 2015, 08:13:18 AM
1) A replacement base board to sell

They should start appearing on the market really, a lot of people were holding out for S2 upgrade kits but they never appeared. You can try making a post in the marketplace.
1115  Other / Meta / Re: Limits on the number of times you can edit something on: September 11, 2015, 12:59:29 AM
Could this be fixed by allowing users to manually purge their edit log?

That'd defeat the point. Edit logs are primarily for scam investigations.

Oh right, I was thinking it was used like the drafts folder.

I think it was against forum policy to disclose the absence of a ban as the forum has a general policy of not disclosing when someone is banned.

In general I tend to not publicize bans. The exception being when the user publicizes it themselves, hence the many threads in meta where bans are openly discussed. Additionally, I was unwilling to help you deceive other users, particularly when it was related to a scam accusation against you.

I generally think that bans should be published, at least if its a permaban. It saves the inevitable "what happened to x" threads, and its not as if we're not going to find out by their absence anyway. Bans as a temporary punishment makes sense to not publicise as the punishment is the ban, not the 'humiliation'. Maybe we need something similar to mod log to make a record of permabans?
1118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Interview with the CEO of bitmain on: September 09, 2015, 04:50:22 PM
I don't understand why bitmain is not make scrypt miner.  Huh

Because it turns out no one actually wants scypt miners.
That's the lie of the century, how about you ask your bosses for a real answer and not just one pulled out of behind your tail.

No, its not. The L1 was never made [at least the first time around, who knows what they do quietly] because the sales numbers weren't what anyone thought they would be. You say they sold out, but the number that sold was paltry compared to any S* model. Legitimately almost nothing, and certainly not enough to justify a chip batch.

1120  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury - Mining Lighbulb on: September 08, 2015, 12:08:46 PM
In case anybody haven't seen yet, we have published extensive research on block size increase: http://www.bitfury.org/white-papers-research
I did Smiley  Did you (BitFury Group) read all the feedback in the Reddit thread - regarding your research - that gained some traction in terms of developers' eyes?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3j7nhd/bitfury_report_on_block_size_increase/

( and... lightbulb? Cheesy )

Yes, we have read comments of Bitcoin developers and find them quite informative. We are glad our research paper gained interest in the Bitcoin community. Keep an eye out for our new researches!

Can you say any new news on the lightbulb?   It seemed the prototypes looked like pretty finished.   Can we still expect to see them out in public?

If so any timeline?

It takes quite a bit of work to take it from production prototype to actual mass production unit. And then there's regulation that requires FCC, CE etc testing and verification that the final product still needs to pass. So timelines are not completely dependent on us, and we would rather not commit to any date we can't keep for sure.

Speaking generally then, do you think we'll see anything this calendar year?
