101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] GAS Coin / Dynamic Block Reward / Instant Retarget / LAUNCHED - GO! on: July 29, 2013, 04:30:11 AM
Well holy shit.

> Customer requests clean coin, pays cash

> dev premines with buddies.

Nothing else matters. That's breach of contract.

Some of what you have to say here is true r3wt.  No one would have minded this pre-mine and it could have been used to do good for the coin, if it was part of the business plan. But it wasn't.  It specifically harms the business plan.

As it is, this is not the first time you've been accused of shady bullshit and as you've not only admitted to it but you're being somewhat of a dick about it - I'll be sure to warn anyone I see asking about you too.

NAN will be coming off my sites as well in about 60 seconds.  I would do it because of this shit but the fact that you mentioned at cryptsy you've abandoned it pretty much seals the deal.

1. i delivered on what you paid me to do. if you want me to do it all again you can pay me .4 btc again.
2. no refunds.
3. you're not gonna get me a scammer tag, but you can try if you want. you wanted aside from the usual specs a coin that was stable, and secure and i deliverd on that. what was i supposed to do, take the .4 btc you gave me to make the coin and give it all out to the miners i chose to secure test, create, and secure the network? get real dude. money(well in this case, coins) talks and bullshit walks. i understand where you're coming from, but you're being unreasonable, similar to the way Vlad was acting. this is the real world man, it takes money to make money.
4. they aren't random people, they are four people that i trust to do the right thing. if worse comes to worse, i'll just buy the coins back from them.

1. No, you obviously didn't.

2. BWAH HA HA HA HA scammer of course not

3. I will see if I can help with this.

4. They're four people that you trust to help you rob your client.

Damn I'm really angry I thought you were a decent guy.  To come out and blame/attack your client after pulling something like this?  Piece of shit.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CSC] CasinoCoin Giveaway | 10 CSC! on: July 29, 2013, 03:59:05 AM
The next batch has been sent! Even though we've hit 100 (or near it), I think I'll keep the giveaway going for now, so keep posting your CSC addresses Smiley
CasinoCoins have been sent out! Thanks to those who left suggestions -- I'll keep them in mind as I'm building out services for CSC.

There's a few slots still open since there were a number of duplicate entries, so leave your CSC address and I'll keep sending them out.

FBbz2uJ6Gf1BgeUrTqLfD118rtmPK45ML1
i will like csc to be integrated with casinoaction.com, they have bonus.
However number of reply with suggestion is less than 50, i hope to have the coin.
Thanks

coinseeker2, that doesn't look like a valid CasinoCoin address -- it should start with a C. Post your CSC address and I'll send out your 10 CSC.

You've yet to send coins to post #28. Also drop me a PM please.

Hey fisheater I could use some help with this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262442.0

I'm ripping my hair out, and bitcoin devs won't help any more since IFC is involved.

I had a look but it is way above my head, not even sure what it is you're trying to do? Send 2 transactions at once? What is the purpose?

Any way, I am mainly here to ask you a favour! Smiley

Would you come by the private thread we have for infinitecoin? Would be really great to have your perspective. The site is half build now and looking pretty good. But it is getting to the technical part and your advice/help would be much appreciated. As i hear you are quite the expert.

If you would like to come and have a look I can PM you the URL.

I PMed you on the other forum.

I'm trying to create a raw transaction from scratch so that I can ensure that at least one desired input is used for the transaction.

I have no problem refunding a portion of a single input but as soon as I attempt to include multiple inputs it craps out.

I'm getting a bitcoin testnet setup running now so that maybe I can get some help/

107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: rejected transactions on: July 25, 2013, 06:32:08 PM
ok I got some basic advice from sipa and gmaxwell in the bitcointalk cev channel -

sipa says there's no possible code path in bitcoin where I would get the message I'm getting in debug.log:

ERROR: CTxMemPool::accept() : CheckTransaction failed

Aoo, I'm off to try and wake up someone related to infinitecoin dev.  Any random thoughts or advice are still appreciated, this is for a multiple wallet application and currently we're not even running an actual bitcoind or have any coins (testnet or otherwise) to test with.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / rejected transactions on: July 25, 2013, 05:08:30 PM
Hi, I'm trying to create some transaction by binding specific inputs.

When I'm using a single input, I have no problems.  As soon as I add another, my transaction is rejected by the network.

I've increased the fee to twice network minimum, and after I post this I'll go make one with a ridiculous fee in case it's that.

In the meantime, any advice is appreciated.  Here's a sample of a transaction that's being rejected, I'll get more code or whatever is needed if someone has insight into this.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TERRACOIN ATTACK OVER 1.2TH ATTACK CONFIRMD on: July 25, 2013, 04:59:21 AM
t what is up with the "D".  For the first couple years nobody got the hashing algorithm wrong and then recently there has been this poliferation of "SHA-256D" and "SHAW-256".  Once could be a typo, one person multiple times could been someone who is repeating a mistake but multiple people over multiple threads.

It is SHA-2 or SHA-256 (or without the hyphen SHA2, SHA256).

I'm not sure whether it started with miner software using sha256d to describe the double sha-256 hash or if it came from outside of bitcoin circles. A quick google is inconclusive. I know the term has become pretty common and since it's the switch for algo selection in several miners it's probably here to stay.

Sha-2 and sha-256 are the related like squares and rectangles.  All sha-256 is sha-2 but not all sha-2 is sha-256.

I haven't seen shaw-256 but it reads like a phonetic typo. I'm sure I'll notice it now.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seven lie alt coins - more data, more truth on: July 23, 2013, 06:09:58 PM

nope -

actually the main point of your argument there is trying to justify , say for example the  issuance of say half of a years worth of "currency" (anything of value) , then hold that for exchange wait for other investors to come along and then dump it on them.

most (if the writer is correct) are different versions of that same general scheme , so no, that's not trying to benefit the community , no not at all - That's trying to benefit the individual.

however , when innovation plays a part - then the individual by trying to benefit himself does in fact benefit the community    , but don't confuse those two things less you come off looking like a cowardly "enabler" apologist of general theft and corruption -

and "We all get screwed by Fiat"  - where did that come from ?

most of the time the Pump and Dump scams are to just what?,  cash out to fiat ? ha ha -

come on.

I don't care that it happens - but i don't cowardly justify it -

As well as I can parse this, I agree very strongly.

People are costing themselves, and others, real long term opportunity to try and grab a few extra dollars with these new coins all the time.

There aren't many actual "crypto-currency supporters" here, that I can see.  Just a load of people trying to make a buck today with very little, if any, eye to the future.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CryptogenicBullion (CGB) RELOADED! 1M CAP - PoS/PoW - NEW BOUNTIES! on: July 23, 2013, 05:08:00 PM

You are correct my friend regarding the request for network hashrate. I had not realized the difficulties you have outlined as I have not had the opportunity to look into this, hence the bounty. If this truly provides a statistic that is irrelevant, then I obviously do not want to proceed. This came about via request of a fan of CGB who identified a similar service provided by CAP. I mentioned this briefly to Mullick, but again, have not had the time to investigate. Have you looked at the broadcaster that CAP allegedly has?

Nope but if I get any time I'll check it out today.

It's not difficult to mock something up, but I wonder how to add any accuracy.  Even the wallet function is a best guess based on some averages in POW wallets, and some of those are known to be pretty inaccurate, especially at higher diffs.

I just got up but I'll look into it too - if they have sorted out something that doesn't feel deceptive, I wold like to add this to my site anyways.

I'm also disappointed that this is not a feature. THe site is buggy too.

I'm interested in any bug reports concerning this script. I don't run the site so if it's a server problem I can't address that.

Feel free to PM please.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 23, 2013, 06:09:56 AM
ah hahaha i'm terrified Vlad. I wanted to help you fix your shit but your mouth ruins it everytime.

I didn't steal shit, shake didn't steal shit, you're delusional, you're a troll and you have a 73 page trollfest and a worthless coin. Even if we would have stole your "Program" you haven't got shit. the software was published open source, you have no legal grounds.

You just go ahead and tell the Feds how i stole your open source program and your coins, i'm sure they'll get a good laugh. Hell, you asked me to hand over the coins and the github info and i handed it over to ya. haven't made a single cent off of it. You just go ahead and tell the feds boy boy.

Suppose they believe you. Suppose they come knocking. As soon as they come talk to me i'm gonna turn over every bit of info i have and i'm going to file charges against you for harrassing communications and defamation of character, libel, and slander, as well as any other law that applies to this ongoing incident of me having to deal with your lies and/or pandering of false information about me and Shakezula.

You're burning your bridges around here and you're an ugly stain on this community, and i for one wouldn't miss you if you stopped posting around here. I liked you in the beginning but your incessant rambling, inability to compromise, general bad intentions, and gross misunderstanding of the innerworkings of a cryptocurrency platform ultimately lead to me developing an intolerance for you. That's why i quit the project, you simply cannot be reasoned with and i don't need the headache.

Stop your bullshit and apologize. Maybe there's still a chance for Nuggets and a place for you on Bitcointalk, but at the rate your going i don't see your antics or you lasting very long on these forums. No one likes a troll and you're known as one around here.

Jesus I was there 30 pages ago and he never even attacked me personally.  Vlad is going to be legen

wait for it....

The red text added to the front page that says "hash rate broadcaster" is that for a bounty, for something that says the network hash rate?

You can fake that up but it's going to be even more wildly inaccurate than the ones in the wallets that provide it.  I understand that a couple of the coin devs have tried to improve on that but in the end, it's a guess based on some pretty simple math, and the way that proof of work is done it always has to work around a certain amount of randomness.

When you opt to include proof of stake it's not even really a relevant statistic. which is why it's stripped from those wallets.

Those are the reasons that it's not already on my site. For 100 CGB I'll write a script that divides block time by difficulty and comes up with an estimated hash rate.

As long as you understand that it's a job writing fiction.  Otherwise, I'd have to feel guilty.

EDIT: I just noticed you announcing the addition on page 8, too.  I'm pretty sure that's what you mean right?

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inconsistent LTC mining hashrate? on: July 23, 2013, 02:47:11 AM
While the numbers may be slightly different, I suspect what you'll see with VGA is that you always hash at the slower rate.

The card will have no way to free resources if it can't see the state of the monitor and I don't think that was part of VGA spec.

So, like my computer here, it will just always reserve resources for the monitor.

EDIT though I'm interested to hear, if you test it with a newer card.
Ya VGA didn't solve anything. I didn't test VGA with the monitor off, as I really don't care about the slower hashrate.

What do you mean test it with a newer card?

Well, some cards do things that are outside the spec.  If they build in functionality to monitor signal for HDMI and it was relatively easy to port it a card might be able to detect a monitor's power state via a VGA interface.

Also, I just have a tendency to ramble.

118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FLX] Flexcoin Development Thread on: July 23, 2013, 01:38:19 AM
Flexcoin is absolutely going to need a mobile app for it's wallet.    I searched on google play and only found mobile wallets for Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Feathercoin.   Since I think it would be a lot of work to create a mobile wallet from scratch, that might suggest that we want to branch Litecoin instead of some other coin.   I'm don't know all the difficulties of taking one of these wallets and porting them to some other coin like Novacoin, PPcoin or Primecoin,  but I'm guessing it's not trivial.    I do know that Andreas Schildbach's popular Bitcoin wallet is based on bitcoinj (A Java implementation of a Bitcoin client-only node) https://code.google.com/p/bitcoinj/   So that could mean in order to create a Primecoin or other non-litecoin based wallet, a port of the client to java is necessary, as that is the native android language.   Another question would be do we want to go cross platform, but if so, a lot of these crossplatform alternatives (like PhoneGap) are potentially less secure because they are not compiled.  I'm not sure if it makes sense to try to do c++ on android and iOS.    I know a little about android development, and nothing about iOS development.

Since most of these coins use the same JSON-RPC interface, it shouldn't be a deciding factor in which coin to clone. It's no more complicated to communicate with a satoshi-type wallet than any other web-service or API.

It's what you have to do with the data that's harder.

Contrary to you, I know nothing about android or iOS dev. But it would be crazy to program any core functionalty of your app into client-side code.

Look to a web wallet with that does feed data (API) to your android app and you can handle the money in a more secure layer of the stack. That way if anyone tries to clone the phone app and do some funky stuff it should just trigger errors at the server side. And you get the added benefit of being able to code your mobile apps in whatever language is handy.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inconsistent LTC mining hashrate? on: July 23, 2013, 01:08:11 AM
It sounds like when you stop using the card's processors and memory to maintain a desktop, the hash rate goes up.

This is to be expected - when you free up more resources you hash faster.

HDMI interface can report the state of the monitor to the card so...

Turn on monitor -> Card sets aside resources for that, hash rate goes down.

Turn off monitor -> after a couple of seconds the card sees it has free resources, hash rate goes up.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 23, 2013, 12:13:50 AM
Spots didn't clone Vlad's idea anyway, all they cloned was totally broken code that does not in fact implement Vlad's idea. Though they still don't seem to have noticed that.

Last I checked they still advertised on their first post Vlad's feature that they still had not actually implemented.

-MarkM-

This is the 4th time I am telling you our code works. You keep choosing to ignore that, but show me where and how it's not working and I will have it fixed. I'm not Vlad, if you bring up a Spots issue, it gets addressed asap...

You solved the VGB distribution issue?

I think he's just complaining that it's falsely advertised.  There's still nothing to control how often or how many are generated, if I understand it correctly too.

This means that as things stand, this block chain (and spots) can run for 7 years and NEVER generate a Vlad's Golden/Spotted Block.

Is that wrong?
