Wouldn't a 1 MHz scrypt ASIC able to mine this at 500 KH is everyone is hashing at half their max? What is stopping from small gridseeds to scale?
haha, fortunatelly not  ASICs are out of this.. they are built directly to be used on scrypt nothing else.. they are dumb devices doing just one task.. GPU can adapt to different n factor in this algo which will increase through time.. so even if they started to design new asics to VTC right now (and it is not really simple process), by the time its out, VTC may have higher n factor putting them again out of game This is why VTC is and WILL be ASIC resistant... ASIC prevention will kick in in two years. Adaptive N-Factor is BS branding. VertCoin is just another shitcoin ASIC prevention is NOW, dude. Have you even tried to mine this coin? It's hard as hell. The developers here are aggressive and will listen to the community. ASIC prevention is key feature of this coin. They will change N-factor scheduling if needed. It doesn't work. The mining process simply becomes more difficult for everybody mining the coin when the 'Asic prevention' kicks in. |

I was about to buy VTC yesterday, but coinedup software discouraged me. Today its 100% up(+listing in Cryptsy). Is it too risky to get in now?
Looks like we will approach litecoin levels sooner than we first thought. I personally think we are headed to 0.1btc Boris thinks there is a chance of 1:1 with btc in the future. Vtc WILL go up, but there is a chance for a temporary dip as with all coins. So you can decide at what level you get in at, but definetly get in Definately 1 VTC will cost 0.5 to 0.8 BTC in the three to six months Never happening. in 3 months there will be something better out there momentum counts for a lot. And it will be hard to duplicate the smooth launch Vtc had by anyone else for sometime dude VTC is far from innovative. We don't have a goal to reach with our IPCO. We will do our best with the amount we have at our disposal.
Nothing is special about Reddcoin. It's a Litecoin clone. Why reinvent something that already work? We're not planning on building coin value with Reddcoin features. What differentiate us is what we will do with social networks to bring Reddcoin to the general public. Is our plan fully build and ready to deploy? No it's not. We have a good idea of what we need to do but it could change.
First beta of our back-end? Not sure about that. It depend on a lot of thing. Probably between 3 to 6 month. We can do other thing before that, facebook app, tipbot, etc.

25 - 35 satoshi is a good position, at this stage of the game. you can get big profits on your buys from just a few satoshi move.
The Long term trend is up, it can be expected we will get to the previous high of 70 again soon.
Myself i have buys on 10 -20 satoshi, in the hope i can get some cheap.
And for flipflopping at the current rates i do about 5-7 satoshi gap, like buy at 25, then put that purchase as a sell at 30, just for quick low risk profits.
