1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Europe, bank transfers are free and unlimited for all on: February 11, 2017, 03:56:37 AM
using bitcoin is not all about the fees!
although it used to be a very nice perk of using bitcoin, but there are still so many other perks such as being your own bank, the privacy and security, and also being able to buy stuff online without giving away all your information like when you use a bank.

p.s. we have free bank transfer here too, it is similar to SEPA but with a different name and it takes up to 2 hours for free.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most popular bitcoin gambling games? on: February 10, 2017, 04:24:55 AM
I know Dice is by a huge margin the most played bitcoin gambling game. What do you think are the others that is played in bitcoin community a lot?
I think plinko could be the second biggest one. Maybe it could be slots too, there are many slots games out there but I am not sure if they are played that much.

i disagree!
dice games are the most famous because of how they work and because it is easy to play. other games that are easy but they are not as fast as dice and you most of the time have to wait for a simple roll which is similar to dice but takes time.
i think the seconds most famous is sports betting since it is a little bit easier to win than dice and it is something that many like playing.
1003  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: February 10, 2017, 04:11:22 AM
when you know something is a "scam" and it is clear for you then you must stay away, and not try to find a way to go around them and make profit because that is never going to be possible. you will end up losing trying to scam the scammers but they are the one holding your money an who runs away with it, you can never do anything about it.
1004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm those tits guys, the China "issue" is not an issue.. on: February 10, 2017, 04:04:09 AM
anything China related has always been exagerated and put under magnifying glass. and it always affects the price first because of the shake outs that come afterwards.

and it seems like people never learn! they continue to panic and sell their coins to the whales over and over again.

this is what happen now and i think china is getting affects with the price, before the news about PBOC, the price is stable in $1k but after the PBOC release the news, then the price is suddenly getting down too deep and even it reach $9xx number. it seems china wants to control and make the market panic and i think they are successful to reach the goal and now, we are only waiting for a good news and we can hope that the price will be back.

you do realize that the majority of the dumps happened in the western exchanges not Chinese. it started on big exchanges such as bitfinex and bitstamp when whales were dumping big amounts of bitcoin and you can see it on the charts with a vertical red candlestick showing the size of their dumps.
and if you can find the history of it there were dumps as big as 100 to 500 bitcoins at a time.
1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will we have a Block size increase? on: February 10, 2017, 03:58:51 AM
Since this issue with the Network capacity is increasing, and even though Satoshi himself proposed a block size increase, and it seems this creates new attack vectors,

may i know what these new attack vectors are that can be caused by increasing block size?
so far i have been seeing attackers spam the hell out of the network, increasing the mempool size to unbelievable size! what would be different if say block size were bigger (eg 2 MB)?

1007  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think should be the right Bitcoin price as of Februray 2017? on: February 09, 2017, 03:00:43 AM
Hi,
I'm really curious what in your personal opinion the price should be - where do you think we should be in means of adoption and infrastructure.

We currently have price of about $1000 per 1 BTC, do you consider it as about right, overvalued or undervalued in all and all?

Please vote and if possible please explain why you voted in this way below.

Thanks.

i always say bitcoin is so much more valuable than it shows, which means there is always more potential for growth. in other words the current price level of $1000ish is an under-valued price in my opinion which means we should see a rising price for the foreseable future.

and the reason is all about adoption and the fact that there is a very limited supply of coins while there are lots more people on the planet.
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Using Banks, Paypal And Credit Cards! Let's Integrate Bitcoin Everywhere! on: February 09, 2017, 02:53:44 AM
To some extent Bitcoin can replace Paypal, but replacing Banks and Cards are nearly impossible. BTC is not a global currency, so its not possible to stop using Banks and their Services, and moreover the value is very volatile, so using it as usual currency, contains risk for many people.

actually bitcoin is a global currency and it is perfect for that.
the only valid reason for it not happening is the price being volatile and the fact that bitcoin can not handle large number of transactions.
the price will be stable if a large number of people (a lot more than current number) start accepting bitcoin the same way fiat is stable.
and the other one can be solved in many ways, that is the hot topic of these days!
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 09, 2017, 02:47:20 AM
i am doing multiple things.

sometimes i just click randomely and set the autobet on one of these without giving it any thought and it makes bets for me on that.

sometimes if the autobet allows me meaning if the site has the option to tell it to change automatically is set it to change between hi and lo each time i win.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best dice site? on: February 09, 2017, 02:41:16 AM
No mentions of bustabit?
Well technically it isn't a "dice" site but it works very similarly, and you can overcome the house edge by skillfully getting the bonuses (house edge ranges from 0 to 1%).

Also crypto-games has one of the lowest house margins I've seen, at 0.8%. That would probably be my go-to dice site.

Safedice has the lowest house edge until now, they have 0.5% House edge. (there is a site with 0% House edge, but i never tried it)

freebitcoin is the best faucet because have already a free lottery with big prize (but more time the winner buy a lot of ticket)  Grin

I have see people win with 40-50 tickets!
But yes this is a nice faucet and dice game is really fun (and you earn ticket for the lottery and point reward).
We don't know how they pick/choose the lottery winner, maybe they are choosing their own account (Someone told me when you won on their lottery, you'll get an email from freebitcoin, but still there is no transparancy how they pick the winner).
Dice game with ~5% house edge is not fun for me.

Which site has 0% house edge? I haven't seen one that is truly a 0% house edge dice site. Even safe dice isn't actually 0.5%, I believe they have some sort of requirement before it is 0.5% house edge, I am not sure. I've tried 999dice though, they have 0.1% house edge which is nice.

usually new dice sites offer the 0% house edge as a short term promotion. and maybe you can find some of the good old ones do the same as their anniversary for example but this one is  a bit rare.

also if you read the previous commnets here, someone said www.chain-bet.com has 0% house edge. which i have never heard of this place before.
1011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stoploss Do Not Work Anymore on: February 09, 2017, 02:35:14 AM
when it comes to trading you always need to adapt with the market. you say your stoploss is reached with accuracy when you open it on the exchange then use a third party bot so that exchange doesn't know about it!

and also set another order watch to buy back in case price went up after you sold.

problem solved!
1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make governments accept bitcoin? on: February 09, 2017, 02:30:23 AM
If we can make the government agree to accept bitcoin, they will demand that we need to provide an identification for every wallet and transactions we will make. It might also demand that every transactions should be taxable. Are you prepared to accept that? Because if that will happen, we will lose the very essence of bitcoin.

That's what Europe would like to add and talked about recently. Listing and track each bitcoin users. As for the taxs, why not, it helps the country (considering it is used efficiently) Aren't you happy to have hospitals, or your kid can go to school and you pay nothing ? Then it is with the taxs collected. People should be happy to pay taxs. For exemple you see people who complaint about their country telling the hospital in the city is bad, roads are not good, ect ect but they fraud the taxs LOL, this is ironic

i agree with this but people are never happy when it comes to paying taxes, no matter which country they live in. but what surprises me most is the fact that when it comes to paying taxes on things when they use fiat, nobody complains but when it comes to paying taxes on things when they used bitcoin everybody starts screaming!
1013  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: February 08, 2017, 04:45:07 AM
Well there are some ways but those all will need lucky and time to reach those ammount, since the most people hasnt more then 3-4 hours to dedicate at crypto world the only way to make those is trading, but for you make those income you will need atleast 2-4 btc invested.

I agree, 0.1 btc a week can be achievable if you also have huge capital to invest. Not just capital but your skills on where you are going to invest your money. For example in trading, even if you have huge capital to invest but you have no skills from it then your dream of 0.1 btc a week is very impossible. Hard work is also needed to earn a such big amount.
Yes but capital is also important if you only have 0.1BTC and you want to produce 0.1BTC every week then that means you want to earn 400% every month and that is simply not possible but if you have 10 BTC then producing that profit is a lot more realistic since that means about 4% per month.

very good points but one important thing that i always see people forget in situations like these is the fact that investing is risky and sometimes highly risky.

and this means that when you invest more (like 10 bitcoins) you can easily lose more too. for example if you buy an altcoin and that altcoin declines 10% you simply lose 1 bitcoin ($1000) and it is  a good idea to have this in mind when investing.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: February 08, 2017, 04:33:13 AM
I guess trading has a large element of skill and judgement, so it can be considered not gambling.
Yes ,but it has a big difference when it come by using skills ,and trading is not like gambling to use some analysis and skills only .It is needed a big patient and predicting some movements in the market to earn.

indeed and what happen in trading is could not be predicting as the market is move by demand and supply, but in gambling, we only need to place a bets, waiting for the result and win or lose. sometimes gambling need skills too but its only for specific games like sports betting and the other games is based on the luck.

you understood it completely upside down!
you can never predict anything as long as you are gambling, becasue there is not way of predicting anything in gambling which is a game of luck.
but in trading there are lots of way known as analysis to predict the market movement and how price of a commodity is going to change. and that alone is a pretty huge difference.
1015  Economy / Economics / Re: 2016’s top cryptocurrencies + january 2017 on: February 08, 2017, 04:27:24 AM

Trumpcoin:

March 1 2016 : 160 sat.

January 15 2017 : 63462 sat.

An increase of 39563.75 % !! If those values are converted to dollars, the percentage increase is even higher.

That's the another shit coin, I won't be expecting a lot for the trump coin. It's fully with pump and dump. I don't ever seen an interesting innovation in there although  trump coin has based on the trump's hype. but in this time you know what's US feeling about trump.  Cool

The link the guy who started the thread posted shows cryptocurrencies in terms of how much their value increased, not in terms of which is superior technically. Trumpcoin's value since January 15 has plummeted but I think the creator foresaw this fad well. It may increase again in 4 years if Trump gets re-elected. Who knows? I'm sure there are cryptocurrencies out there that outperformed even Trumpcoin in 2016.
Trumpcoin is a good coin but its volatility is amazing. From seven thousand satoshi it climbed up to 60k satoshi in just one week and after three days it falls back again to 10k satoshi.  This just means that the coin is very well alive and its traders are always observing. If bitcoins price did not climb up possibly its price will stabilize at 40k satoshi but due to bitcoins price inflation many have sold their Trump coins in exchange for bitcoin.

there is nothing special about that altcoin, what you are describing happens to all of them.
simply put altcoins get pump and dumped and when they do most of them go very high in the process because their orderbooks are too thin to resist a rise and also too thin to resist any kind of dump that is why you can see wild swings all around.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: February 08, 2017, 04:20:29 AM
Alt coins did advance the blockchain technologies in many ways, deepen our understanding of the cybercoins. This in turn help the bitcoin. But bitcoin itself does not really need altcoins.

We may say that bitcoin doesn't really need the help of alt coins. But they are contributing good in the circulation and market of bitcoin. Because they need bitcoin for exchanging it to alt coins and that is making the demand higher of bitcoins. Maybe bitcoin will still stand up without alt coins but that can make the traders sad.  Grin

Bitcoin can stand up by itself but altcoins cannot stand up without the help of bitcoin. You are right.
Altcoins give a big support in the circulation because they give us users 'diversity' especially when we are talking about investments.
For me, we can say 'having no altcoins is not crucial' but 'altcoins are needed' for bitcoin's growth.

i disagree because there is no connection between bitcoin and altcoins and there has never been any. although you can find some rare exceptions such as litecoin being very similar and also having segwit these days, but in total they are not connected.
and for all these years altcoins have been there only to be traded with pump and dumps to help us make more money or bitcoin.
1017  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: February 08, 2017, 04:15:42 AM
In my opinion its better to wait to see what happens on march with the EFT, if it receive the approbation bitcoin could make a big increase on its price.

i don't this so. if the ETF can have any kind of effect on bitcoin, that would be a temporary one where it gets hyped up a lot and then price has a sudden rise kind of thing and in then end we are left with a small bubble and coming back from it.
1018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oh god, BTC might rise 25-50% within a month! on: February 07, 2017, 04:15:59 AM
haha, i hope so.
but the fact is that we have been hearing the same thing for years. this is not a news to us. and besides this is not the only one of them, there are lots of these things floating around on the internet that you can find. some of them from smaller people in the world of economics and some from some giants. and none of them has happened so far. bitcoin price is rising slowly and we are all happy with it and don't want a flash rise followed by flash crash.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you bet on "Sports" games that you don't know? on: February 07, 2017, 04:08:22 AM
I never bet on sports that I don't know much about otherwise it's like pin the tail on the donkey blindfolded. You have to gamble on things that you at least have some knowledge on.
better gamble on baccarat or dice which giveyou faster result.

gambling on sports for me can not be done randomly , it is too good to do that as long as you have experience and some stats which you can analyze it why you have to bet randomly? it is like throw your winning chance when you actually can really win it.

technically you can still make random bets on sports betting too. there is nothing stopping you and there is nothing wrong with that. in fact you may still win a good amount if you have no idea what the teams are that you are betting on, or just taking information from some tipster online.
in the end all of these games are gambling and come down to pure luck and there is nothing changing that.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If today was your last day, would you gamble everything? on: February 07, 2017, 04:00:19 AM
i wish this was a poll so we could see how many voted for what.

anyways, i wouldn't be wasting any second on gambling! that would be waste of the time that apparently i wouldn't be having any more.
i will do lots of things but as far as money goes i will try to spend some of the money that i have been saving up for years so that i wouldn't go out without using it Smiley
