1001  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Radeon 7950 Causing Beep Codes on: October 12, 2013, 11:59:10 PM
Just picked up a new Asus F2 A85-V Pro motherboard and when I plug in my Radeon 7950 I receive a beep code upon startup and nothing on the monitor.

1 long beep, 3 short beeps.

Any ideas?  Not having this issue when I use one of my older video cards...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309704.0

I will send a few TEK to anyone who votes, adds a post to the thread above and sends me their address via PM.

Thundertoe, can you add the same information for TEK to the thread as is in this post?  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309704.msg3325515#msg3325515
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements on: October 12, 2013, 05:01:33 AM
Let them focus on the hardware before pushing new coins...

Give it time, I'm sure more will be added (cough, TEK, cough, OSC)
1005  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][PRICE DROP] - DRILLBIT SYSTEM Bitfury Miners on: October 11, 2013, 04:46:37 AM
I must ask, are there any blinking lights on the boards?   Grin
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *Petition for Cryptsy to remove coins* on: October 11, 2013, 01:50:37 AM
I agree.  That is all.
1007  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: October 11, 2013, 12:00:39 AM
Thank you, glad it worked out and great advice!  I'm going to quote some of your post in the OP if you don't mind.
1008  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][PRICE DROP] - DRILLBIT SYSTEM Bitfury Miners on: October 10, 2013, 11:19:56 PM
I'm in for one assembled 8-chip board!  Fiat is working its way through Coinbase now.

I'm a bit confused on the shipping payment procedure though, what with the order being in BTC and the shipping being in USD.  How does that work?

Convert USD to BTC and send it in.
1009  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YIFU IS AUCTIONNING? on: October 10, 2013, 07:20:52 PM
They dropped the min bid on Minis to 2BTC

Now who's interested?
1010  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][PRICE DROP] - DRILLBIT SYSTEM Bitfury Miners on: October 10, 2013, 12:16:12 AM
will a rasp pi be able to mine with these?

Assuming bfgminer/cgminer are updated I don't see why not!  That's my plan, I've got one ready and waiting!
1011  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: October 09, 2013, 02:05:42 AM
Can someone just make it easy on me and tell me exactly what to buy for a miniplane and 4 boards?  I do plan on cooling and overclocking (if possible).  Grin

I do currently have an extra Corsair CX600M if that will work...

Barntech, this is why I liked your forum!  We could have different threads for different topics.  Maybe this thread could be used for updates and getting more people on board (no pun intended) and your forum could be used to dig into these sub-topics (power, cooling, overclocking, setup, etc.)?

1012  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: October 08, 2013, 01:30:02 AM
Question #1 - Is it technically possible to have a web interface created that can monitor multiple MinePeon machines? (If yes, see #2.  If no, ignore #2.)
Question #2 - Can I commission you to do this?  (If so, will reach out via PM)
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *SCRYPT FPGA* - CryptoIndustries.com - official Bitcointalk thread on: October 02, 2013, 09:12:30 PM
So how long will you guys be "testing" these units prior to shipping?   Roll Eyes
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *SCRYPT FPGA* - CryptoIndustries.com - official Bitcointalk thread on: October 02, 2013, 01:56:43 AM
Sweet, another preorder for some vaporware.
1015  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Why do people waste money on useless things for mining? on: October 01, 2013, 10:53:39 PM
I'd like to point out that in another thread the OP started he asks about cooling his 20 USB block erupters. Shocked

Maybe he wants to learn more about himself?
1016  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: October 01, 2013, 10:52:46 PM
So i got it running but in my chain of d hubs only 3 are recongnized after the first hub leaving 4 unregonized and not hashing.  Thinking about just plugging them into my roswell 10 and plugging that into the remaining pi port but really wanted to run these off the 3 dhub's any ideas?
I have the same issue running bfgminer.  There are always 3-4 USB's that are not recognized within my 5 hubs.  I have 1 hub feeding 3 on one USB and 1 hub on the 2nd USB for a total of 5.
1017  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Who mines for a living? on: October 01, 2013, 07:56:19 PM
I believe the correct answer is Butterfly Labs employees.

1018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: October 01, 2013, 05:12:44 AM

1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins pay interest? on: September 30, 2013, 11:34:52 PM
eMunie will, its a variable rate depending on the amount of new eMu generated by supply & demand signals in the system.

Interest is linked to inflation to ensure that current stake holdings are not diluted by more supply needed to fill demand.

Without getting into the maths, interest is always at least 1 point higher than current inflation rate and with a moderate adoption over the course of the next 2 years, should see interest rates average in the 5-6% range.

But, I've got to ask, who's going to mine a coin that has a site where none of the links work?   Wink

I have been extremely patient ...I think it's about time this matter was investigated by the proper authorities..

HAHAHA, who are the "proper authorities"?
