1041  Bitcoin / Mining support / Advantages/disadvantages of using MinePeon on Rasp Pi on: September 24, 2013, 04:16:04 PM
Apologies if there is already another thread but I didn't come across one.

I'm trying to decide on how to move forward with my Rasp Pi...

Can you guys help by listing some advantages/disadvantages of using MinePeon vs other(?) options?

Doesn't seem like we're receiving many refunds over the past couple days.  I'm gonna give it a couple more days then may initiate a new plan, but this will not be done before we can confirm PP has stopped responding.

Again, I need a good writer.  If you've got skillz hit me up.

Is there any news on this coin being added to any exchanges?

Thanks very much, Just got my refund in 36 hours, there wasn't a return email or anything created on Paypal or lodged with my bank.

Since I paid with a credit card I had to scan all the way back to the start of the year to see the reversals,

Once again thanks,
RedMetal

Awesome, glad to hear it worked out for you!

Up to 89 refunds now!

This is pretty slimy.  Regardless of personal circumstances, there has been more than enough time process refunds.

Do you really believe his story?

If he suffers from depression and his doctors told him to "do nothing work related" why doesn't he simply scan his medical certificate and post it to a trusted member?

I hate it so much when people exploit compassion and sympathy. That's just plain evil.

This is such a fucking scam, but, I do love a good "security breach" excuse.

Time for ALL information to be released.  Gather up those pitchforks!
1048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 20, 2013, 05:03:46 PM
I have a friend who is trying to go through this process starting yesterday and it is not working at all anymore. There are no responses from the email addresses given and Paypal is playing hardball again with the 45 day limit.

Has there been a response from the email addresses provided stating the 45 day limit, or has there been no response at all?

(Also, if there are any really good, attorney-level writers out there who are familiar with BFL FACTS,  please reach out to me)

I've got to say, maybe cutting some of the crap coins will help with the constant lag on the site.  Time for that upgrade already!  Not being able to sell at the moment you need to kind of defeats the purpose of a trading site.

How do you define a crap coin?

My suggestion would be to determine what should be removed by average daily volume.  What that threshold is, I don't know.

I just emailed him,

I have his real name and his personal email address, which I will be releasing if I don't get my money.

FYI Stephen Lincoln is his housemate. Raging's first name is Tom.

That's not the name I sent paypal funds to.

Are they in the US or elsewhere?

From post 21-22

Here's his "roommate":

Up to 83 refunds this morning!

Please Note:  I am not the creator of the reddit thread nor the website that has been posted (warning: there is a browser warning re: phishing on the site).  The creator of that thread has pretty much decided to take credit for the information after I provided it to him on here.  He also will not reveal his identity to me.  While I appreciate that he is helping out the community, I do NOT appreciate someone taking credit and marketing himself for obtaining the information I spent quite a while digging up.  That is my rant for the day.

1055  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 19, 2013, 02:19:35 AM
Well, the information is now public on reddit so I've added it to the original post.  I knew it would happen at some point.   Angry

I hope you all continue to receive refunds using the information and I appreciate those of you who have sent your gratitude via tips.  If anyone has any questions or needs any help feel free to shoot me a PM.  I will also continue to moderate the thread so it does not get shut down so please keep it on topic.

If you do receive a refund please post or shoot me a PM if you want to remain anonymous but I want to continue keeping track of how many have gotten their cash back!

[Edit: I removed the information because I received so many PM's asking for me to not take the chance making it public.  Screw those on reddit.]
1056  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 18, 2013, 06:54:33 PM
Second, that "40 days to ship" seems to mesh with the "operational mistake" of shipping out of queue that BFL got caught at the other day.

Interestingly, my account at BFL is still active (I half expected it to be insta-banned for this) and my order still shows as "processing". So maybe they're hoping they can get to my order/all these orders within 40 days and that people will sign for and accept the package so they can get PayPal to recharge them?

I'm not sure if PayPal can recharge you or not but I suggest that you do NOT sign for a package from BFL if you have received a refund.  Not only is it dishonest, but you may end up paying for a worthless product.
1057  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 18, 2013, 05:42:58 PM
Wow, I can barely keep up with everyone's posts and PM's about getting refunds today!  How soon will we hit 100?!
1058  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 18, 2013, 04:47:51 PM
Wow, a whole slew of new refunds this morning!

As of 9:30pst we're at 60 refunds for forum users and 26 refunds for reddit users!

BFL must be spending a lot of time processing refunds these days.  As much as I hate to deter them from assembling hardware...oh wait, they haven't been doing that anyways...

Thank you again to everyone who has sent along a token of their appreciation!
1059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 18, 2013, 05:13:52 AM
Looks like I'm #43 then. It took about 24 hours, but I too got the same notice

Hooray!

You're number 44!! (I got some PM's as well)

Glad to hear things are going so smoothly for everyone.
1060  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 18, 2013, 03:04:29 AM
