So, you admit to being a propagandist for the Kremlin? How much do you earn as a state sponsored troll?

I bet it's Russian citizen's taxes that are lining your pockets, ironically enough.
1022  Other / Meta / Re: State sponsored trolls on: October 01, 2018, 08:38:29 PM
Neat, found a propaganda site setup by the Kremlin through an American actor (freedomsphoenix). Any account linking to this site is probably state sponsored.

You mean this ugly-ass site from 1990s http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/ ?

Feel free to assume I'm state-sponsored but I'm gonna link to it once in a while just to mess with you.

Ha. BADecker links to it quite often. The site is filled with standard Russian propaganda.

>Created Date: 2005-06-20

Totally from the 90s tho xD

Only allow posting if IQ < 79

Welp, I'm out guys. I'm sure flatearthers and BADecker would get to still post here though.
1024  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: October 01, 2018, 08:34:22 PM

You are finally getting it. The United states Government is a government of no effect, except that people allow and use it.

Cool

In this thread, we have an absolute crazy propagandist trying to push a narrative onto private individuals. Luckily, no one is as retarded as you. So no one falls for your conspritard instances.

Oh, he dun fucked up. So he linked to a freedomsphoenix site which openly admits to be Kremlin propaganda.

So, let's assume that he's a low wage Kremlin employee paid to push propaganda sites setup by paid off American actors.
1027  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SHOULD CITIZENS WHO DON'T PAY TAXES BE ALLOWED TO VOTE? on: October 01, 2018, 08:17:27 PM
Voting is a Choke Chain on Your Liberty

x

This article is an expanded version of a comment I left for someone on another platform.  It was spurred on by their suggestion that by not voting one has given up all their rights.  I inquired if they wanted to know why they were exactly wrong, and that the opposite is true.  Interest was expressed, and so I threw together the following, with some additional explanation.

This is very complex subject matter.  I've tried to explain it in a way that makes sense while leaving out an incredible amount of detail.  I've provided citations and links where relevant so you know I'm not just pulling this out of my ass.  I've tried to present this in a way that requires the least amount of interpretation but as with any esoteric work it cannot be properly understood without the requisite initiation.

Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables. -  Mark 4:11 (KJV)

I will address the many questions this material may well evoke in the comments, and will attempt to clarify any points I did not adequately explain.

This mini-treatise may leave you unsatisfied, but that would be because I'm showing you only the mouth of the cavern.

Let's start with the California Constitution, Article II, Section 2:

A United States citizen 18 years of age and resident in this State may vote.

And then in the California Elections Code:

2101. (a) A person entitled to register to vote shall be a United States citizen, a resident of California, not imprisoned or on parole for the conviction of a felony, and at least 18 years of age at the time of the next election.

Note the citizenship requirement.  You'll find similar language in your state constitution and elections code (or equivalent).  You might be wondering by now, huh?  But, look at the terms used: you must be a "United States citizen", and "resident" in California.  Does it mention anything about a California citizen?  Why not?  Aren't the laws and codes of California decided by Californians in a California election?  Of course California only wants Californian's voting in its elections, but the constitution and codes are not saying that.  They says you just need to be a United States citizen and resident in California.

"As 'domicile' and 'residence' are usually in the same place, they are frequently used as if they had the same meaning, but they are not identical terms, for a person may have two places of residence, as in the city and  country,  but only one domicile.  Residence means living in a particular locality, but domicile means living in that locality with intent  to make it a fixed and permanent home.  Residence simply requires bodily presence as an inhabitant in a given place, while domicile requires bodily presence in that place and also an intention to make it one's domicile." - Black's Law Dictionary (Revised Fourth Edition), from case citation under RESIDENCE, p. 1473.

Is someone domiciled in Alabama eligible to vote in California if they can give an address in California where they are resident (assuming they meet all the other requirements, e.g. not being registered to vote elsewhere, of the age of majority, not a felon, etc.)?  Sure, because they are also a United States citizen.

Cool

Adam vs. The Man was licensed by Russia Today's US affiliate in April 2011. The move was criticized by Accuracy in Media's columnist Cliff Kincaid who referenced his own column entry from 2008 discussing RT's coverage of the Russia–Georgian War in which he condemned RT for "preferring to use foreigners, especially Americans, to make Russian propaganda points"[53][54] before stating that "the American Marine Veteran, Adam Kokesh, seems to fit the bill, having emerged as an anti-war activist who ran as a Republican for Congress and supported Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) for president".[55] Slate writer David Weigel quoted Kokesh describing RT's model, saying: "Truth is the best propaganda. I love it! I really love the concept of that. It's funny: People say we're hiding shit as a network. No, no—we put the fact that this is propaganda right out front. We're putting out the truth that no one else wants to say. I mean, if you want to put it in the worst possible abstract, it's the Russian government, which is a competing protection racket against the other governments of the world, going against the United States and calling them on their bullshit."[56]

After only a few months on RT, Adam vs. The Man was canceled in August by that network to avoid potential legal problems stemming from an FEC complaint filed against RT by the group America’s Survival, Inc. over the matter of Kokesh endorsing Ron Paul for President (thereby allegedly running afoul of the Foreign Agents Registration Act).

Seems like the author of that website is an absolute crackpot nutjob. It's amazing that you keep linking to sites like that. You really should check into the sources, considering they're all Krelim base.
1028  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: October 01, 2018, 08:09:30 PM

I believe the Smithsonian Institute has better credentials than some forum troll...

Sorry, not sorry

Lots of people believe their religion, just like you believe yours.

Cool

Holy shit, you're retarded. Begs for evidence, evidence is provided, calls evidence and peer reviewed information "beliefs". This is why people shouldn't deal with trash human beings like yourself. Go kill yourself you useless tard.

Of course its a hoax, RH Incompatibility proves it.

Evolution and Incompatibility are not compatible.

How does that work exactly mr flat earther?

Evolution would have dealt harshly with incompatibility a long time ago.

And now we got another tard in the thread! Wonderful. Guess what? You're wrong entirely. Go fuck yourself Wink

Nope. Most are clickbait and useless.

Scientific studies are way more interesting when it comes to health sciences.
1030  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and bigotry on: October 01, 2018, 05:46:06 PM

Just an example of freedom of speech this forum provides rather than trolling.

Now, if the Islamic pig fuckers get offended over it, not a big deal Wink

I am not offended if he speaks for my personality but if he talks about the Qur'an and Muhammad S.A.W. I am very offended.

anyone who has an Islamic religion is not offended by the insult to the Qur'an and Muhammad S.A.W means that his faith is doubtful.

Muhammad's a kiddie fiddler and therefore a pedophile. Your silly book is filled with false rumors, and should be categorized in the fiction section.

If Muhammad were alive today, he'd be thrown in jail for the shit he did. He's a bad person, yet you worship him as though he's a great man. Silly, ignorant peasant.

Overall, freedom of speech won't be limited by your nation's silly blasphemy laws.
talk to my ass
damn infidel

You have a talking donkey? If so, seems like some crackpot theory your religion would come up with. I'm willing to bet Muhammad ate some ass in his lifetime. I'm actually curious how many dicks he sucked.

I wonder if he cut a hole in the Qu'ran and sucked some dicks through that hole. Seems about right for that crackpot pedophile.

---

The cool thing about free speech is you really can't stop anyone from saying bad things about your faith. Saying bad things about individuals may fall under slander or libel rules, but things about faith are entirely protected here in the USA.

Can't touch me for calling your shithead of an idol a shithead Wink
1032  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: October 01, 2018, 04:52:47 PM
Well.. this could get tricky. On paper, taxation is a responsibility that every citizen must participate in. Paying taxes should help the community, right? But in reality, it's not as transparent as it seems. In some countries, especially developing ones, taxes go straight to the pockets of government officials. It's unfair. On that perspective, I guess taxation can be a form of theft. Such a flawed world we live in, huh?

Those are bribes and extortion more than taxes. Especially in the developing world.

There isn't any requirement for you to be a tax-paying citizen... on paper.

Cool

Are you fucked retarded? Yall ever read a law book? That's literally written on paper.

Yeah, you need to just kill yourself for that statement in itself, rofl.

1033  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most secure OS on: October 01, 2018, 04:49:24 PM
All operating systems have vulnerabilities. Technically, from what I was reading earlier, OpenVMS on Alpha has the least amount of vulnerabilities released for it.

The most secure systems are airgapped rather than relying on system level security measures.

Hell, even if you have a secure operating system, if you have an insecure chip, you can still be pwned. Fucking ring-3 bullshit AMT and damned predictive timing attacks.
1034  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and bigotry on: October 01, 2018, 04:44:00 PM
My solution is to call the racist fucks out on it. Don't just accept, call them idiots, retards, whatever. They're stupid and no one should listen to them. People sometimes need to be reminded of that, for some reason.

Don't you know they win when you do that?
Personal attacks are the equivalent of forfeiture in a debate..

If you are so right why is that all you have? Call them names?

Drop some FACTS applied with LOGIC and back them up with SOURCES..

You cannot reason someone out of something he or she was not reasoned into.

You can present all the facts in the world to these individuals and they'll not bother to listen. It's way easier to describe them effectively as the ignorant idiots they are.

This isn't just opinion. State sponsored trolls have been proven to exist repetitively. To try to deny this reality is akin to denying climate change or evolution.
Yeah, but have they been proven to exist here on Bitcointalk? The thing is with these sorts of things its too difficult to determine whether the user actually believes what they are saying or if its completely fabricated because of the so called sponsorship from the state

It's hard to prove the existence of those individual trolls, but yes. I do believe they exist here. If you look at the list of fake news sites, you'll see them published quite often by a small segment of users.

I'm pretty sure these users don't actually believe these sites but rather are paid to spread the links.
1037  Other / Meta / Re: Rant on Tor on: October 01, 2018, 02:37:05 PM
I don't like CloudFlare. I consider it quite likely to be some sort of government-run honeypot; or if it isn't already, then it could be easily transformed into one. Far too much of the Internet goes through CloudFlare.

Why do we even use it if you think this could possibly be the case? Is it really worth the risk? How effective is CloudFlare at even stopping DDOS attacks or whatever? We've still had a few here whilst we've used it, right?

Is a better Cloudflare-like service something that could be created (I remember you briefly mentioning how you would create one somewhere)? I've suggested in the past that we could use funds that the forum could generate from things like extra ad slots and premium ranks etc for projects that would benefit the community and even the world and this surely could be one, especially with your concerns about it.

Cloudflare is like the defacto standard in anti-ddos services. Also, it's hard to beat free.

Honestly, if the web forum software were designed better, it could be built to be more resistant to DDoS attacks (proper gateways, rate limiting at multiple tiers, etc...).

I don't think the new software is going to solve this issue though. I've been considering trying to build a new forum software myself that allows high horizontal scalability rather than the traditional vertical scaling that we have now.

As soon as artificial general intelligence (AGI) is created, technological singularity is only weeks away.

The difficulty lies in creating the general artificial intelligence. Application specific intelligence is a lot easier than general intelligence.

State sponsored trolls are part of reality.

Opinion != reality.

If you have some personal issues with specific users, which is what this sounds like - ignore them.

This isn't just opinion. State sponsored trolls have been proven to exist repetitively. To try to deny this reality is akin to denying climate change or evolution.
State sponsored trolls are part of reality. I was just curious how bitcointalk should handle such incidents.

I'm not denying the existence of them, but I think governments probably have bigger and better things to do than troll a bitcoin forum. Most of the "trolls" here do it just for kicks. They're sad and pathetic people and that's how they get off, but that's not something that concerns them.

Ha, you'd think they'd not bother targeting individual small forums and instead target larger social media sites, but that's not really the case. They're working everywhere.

How do you prove an individual isn't a state sponsored troll? It's quite difficult without some deep analyst of the user's post history, times, etc. If they're posting often enough and through multiple sock puppet accounts, correlating that is a difficult thing.
