1021  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: February 07, 2017, 03:54:59 AM
to be successful and earn more money, you need to try to start a new one. Invest in many projects, and then to determine what brings maximum profit. Find your way investment and achieve greater profit from it
i think trading. trading is one of the most fantastic way of making money. although there are so many other ways  of making money but still i will recommend that in trading you can make unlimited amount of bitcoin.
yes there is no doubt about that, trading is really a good way of making money. but trading need good knowledge, skill and experience and if some one do have these properties then trading is the most risky way of making money.
No, trading will not be a good way to make more money from our money. I guess even professional traders also will be facing losses in a highly fluctuating market conditions. I guess running a business with our money would be comparatively safer for better returns to have decent income generations from our money. But that business needs to be new and based on winning concepts.

well in my experience trading is a good way of making money and it is possible to make lots of it from wise investments. but also i agree with the fact that it is risky when market is highly volatile, but there is a solution for that. you can diversify your investment, reducing the risk of one market going down and you having all your money in there.

you can trade cryptocurrencies, gold and stocks at the same time and pull out from others to come to bitcoin when time is right and back.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Technology on: February 07, 2017, 03:48:33 AM
Is possible to upgrade the blockchain technology solving issues like the transactions taking too much time to finish without compromise the currency we have now or without creating a new version devaluing the currently one?

blockchain technology is just a technology that you can use in any way you want. and that is why there are hundreds of altcoins created so far.
you can check them out, but don't get your hopes up. in many cases they fix something but mess up lots of other things. such as faster confirmation but lots of orphaned blocks which makes low confirmation numbers worthless.
1023  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has proven it can pump hard without the need of chinese gamblers on: February 07, 2017, 03:38:06 AM
not only price has gone up with a pretty nice speed and percentage rise but also it has stayed up there. which is more important in my opinion.
the days of thinking it might come down are over, and all those who were saying the last drop is going to go even lower must feel pretty dumb and sad because of the amount of money they lost.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 06, 2017, 04:50:29 AM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

it depends on what you call profit.
making something on your $10 investment can be called profit too. but it is small. you may earn a couple of hundred satoshis (100 satoshi) and call it profit. if you are ok with it then do it.
but in any investment you should not ONLY think about how much you are earning from the profit, but you should ALSO think about how much you will lose in case something went wrong.
with 0.01BTC you can only lose that much and earn small amounts. but if you invest 1BTC you make more but you can also lost more.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: February 06, 2017, 04:43:32 AM
analyze? I think it is not possible in gambling because gambling can not be guessed. even if it's true? I think just sebuat luck. except in sports gambling may be analyzed
You can have some analysis and data if you are gambling in sports and when it comes to dice you can have a pretty good idea what the next roll would be if you are playing for a long time and if you are really lucky you might even win a lot of money.

In dice you can know what the next roll will be....? I highly doubt it. There are a thousand combinations, I really do not think you can actually know what number will roll next. I have been playing for over three years now and I never had this ability yet.. there is nothing you can analyze except your stats .. it's only about luck.

analysis is not knowing the future!
analysis mostly means you analyze the situation, the game and your plan (aka strategy) and make a better decision on what to do.
in sports betting, or in poker it means how you use the knowledge and information (you can't still predict the future in here too) and come up with a plan.
in dice this means you, instead of making random bets make bets based on a strategy that is going to make it easier to win.
1026  Economy / Economics / Re: How much are you willing to pay in fees for a Bitcoin transaction? on: February 06, 2017, 04:37:30 AM
using fiat is free, at least in my country with our banking system it is. if i want to tranfer money from one bank to another i can do it for free with no fee. if i want to do it from my card it will cost me a fixed fee of about $0.1

with that said, if i want to treat bitcoin as a currency i wouldn't want to pay anything more than 0.01-0.1 dollar for transactions.
1027  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I educate myself on bitcoin for investing? on: February 06, 2017, 04:32:42 AM
The subject says it all, what books, resources and other things can I study so that I can make an educated decision.

I want to invest, but have no idea where to start and need to learn more about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general before taking the plunge.

first thing you should know is that bitcoin is not a separate and different thing than other things you see in the world. it is a currency and an investment. it is new in some aspects, but when it comes to investing, it really is the same.

you need to know basic economics and basic rules of trading if you want to invest in bitcoin with an educated move. don't think too hard about it being bitcoin.

and the second most important thing to learn is basics of bitcoin, how it works and most important is how to secure your wallet.
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin reach 2000$ ? on: February 06, 2017, 04:27:27 AM
will the bitcoin reach up to 2000$ in this year ? how ?

how much you could store to be satisfy in the future ?

this year we may come a little bit short of $2000 (for example a price like $1800) but we will get there in a couple of months after end of the year. the say way we have been rising up until now.
there is nothing special about $2000 it is another 2x rise like any other previous rises.

and no amount will satisfy me, because whatever i get, i want more.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving on: February 06, 2017, 04:22:11 AM
This 52-week challenge is an easy task at first but as the weeks wear on and the amount gets bigger and bigger, it is an extremely “challenging” thing to accomplish. I think I am better off going with another strategy as I currently don’t have a stable source of income and our expenses are somewhat piling up more and more.

yes this challenge is easy task at first but as the challenge runs by. it gets harder from time to time. but if you reach the finish and get the task finished. you will be having a great outcome. this 52 week chanllenge is good for the people who doesnt have a good income. better yet try this if you are still student. you can always adjust the price if you cant afford it.
I do this task last year and I accomplish the 52 week saving challenge , This year Im doing it again and the amount of my saving is being upgraded. I add additional money to save in order to save more in the end of the year.

that is nice. maybe you can give use your strategy on how you complete the task. we all know that the task is easy in the begginning but as the time goes on the amount is getting higher and higher. so giving advice and strategies will be good if you provide us on how we can complete it like you do.

they are talking about a strategy of saving called the 52 weeks savings plan. you can google this term and find out more about it.
i read a bit about this strategy a while back and tried it but i don't get nor like the strategy for saving money, i just save money based on how much i can get extra from my expenses, i am a lot safer that way.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Starting sports betting on: February 05, 2017, 03:43:14 AM
I've never found any gambling or sports betting particulary interesting or addictive in any way. But I'm kind of interested on how does one get into sports betting? Do you find the sport you like or the sport with best odds and better options with higher chances of predicting? Also I was thinking of getting into e-sport betting, anyone else that's already into it?

you are thinking about money and that is why you never found any of them particularly interesting enough to play.

when you are a fan of a particular sport or even s-sport, and watch all the games and follow them around it means you know a lot about them and enjoy watching the matches so when you add money to this process it becomes double interesting.

next time try to find what you like and then make bets on that, i am sure you will find it interesting, unless you are like me and not a sports fan.
1031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speeding up Bitcoin Transaction Confirmation Times on: February 05, 2017, 03:36:12 AM
the solution is increasing the block size which sadly doesn't seem to be happening. and then on top of that there are groups of people spamming the network and making the situation even worse than it should be.
so we end up paying higher and higher fees.

Only the stupid & sheep keep paying higher & higher fees.  Tongue

Smart people just use an alt like LTC or ETH (when BTC's unconfirmed transactions are over 10 thousand)  and bypass the BTC greedy miners completely.  Wink

If you don't punish them for being greedy and immoral , they will steal from you all day long.

 Cool

no, only an idiot gives up bitcoin and moves on to altcoins specially altcoins as bad as ethereum which are full of bugs, centralized and with all the hard forks look like a swiss cheese!

and i am sure you agree with me on this otherwise you wouldn't have been here saying all this Grin
because someone who isn't holding bitcoin or getting paid will never waste his time saying the same lies over and over on bitcoin forum!!!
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: February 05, 2017, 03:28:09 AM
i beleive it is because gambling is a highly addictive game that when you are hooked up on it, you can not let it go. and this is a big problem with most people who are gambling these days. they, without knowing it themselves, are spending a lot of time and money on a game that they can never win. the house always wins and takes their money.
everyone will give it up some day though.
1033  Economy / Economics / Re: $1100 to $750 is significant on: February 05, 2017, 03:22:18 AM
Not significant but crazy, if this happens with the stock is certainly going to make a tremendous turmoil. The existence of this alleged that anyone could control prices bitcoin, so I advise you to never save the bitcoin too much.
Because of the volume and the demand of bitcoin lots of investors sold out their bitcoin its panic of selling they know that bitcoin will trust into middle part of price. Yes im agree with you that never save too much bitcoin much more better if you sold them once the price is high.
Indeed, that is the practically the right thing to do and that is what I am doing now, daily trading. Since I am not rich and I need money to sustain my needs, basically I am selling my bitcoin when the price goes up and buy again and so on. But, sometime I do regret when I sold it  then the price of bitcoin continue to rise. ;(

the most important thing to remember when making an investment is to not listen to anyone else but yourself and also to not be affected by market manipulations.

there will always be people around here who sell before you and at a terrible time, and becasue they miss the chance to buy back, they will start telling everyone else to sell their coins too. and they start saying price will go down to $500, etc because it is their wish.

if you listen to them you are the one losing money.
1034  Economy / Speculation / Re: $200 is on the way on: February 05, 2017, 03:17:33 AM
oh boy, OP must feel pretty dumb saying what he said about price, now that the correction is over with the $750 as its bottom and now we are $1030+ and still rising.

but again, i am kinda certain that this topic was not created for speculation purposes but to say up only...

1036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say bye to Triple Digits on: February 04, 2017, 04:41:10 AM
Next stop: MOON  Grin

I wouldnt hurry too much Tongue, it was $1,150 and we thought that we are near the moon destination but we weren't.

We had to stop and unload some of the dead weight (those useless Bears)

There will be some who turn bearish once the price rises. If everybody believes that Bitcoin is going to the moon, who is going to do the selling?  Tongue
We have been at $1000 for more than 24 hours now and the support does feel solid.
Expectations do seem high and everything is looking good up to this point. So there has no need to sell any as the hope of it reaching the ath soon is quite high. So why would anyone would want to lose out holding their coins when all signs are pointing up for bitcoin's price?
Just does not make any sense to do that now. Does it?

if you are a day trader with short positions it may make some sense. although i never like it in times like this because things become much harder to predict.

in any case if anyone sells he has to be prepared to face the consequenses and lose money and if he waits he may have to face loss too. but the difference in waiting is that if you wait and price goes down you can be sure that it will come back up again so it is no all loss.
1037  Economy / Economics / Re: First investments in bitcoins on: February 04, 2017, 04:28:58 AM
Hi everybody, I am quite new in this new market and have a lot of interest in it. After advices from friends, i have put some money in Ethereum by the fact that i like their project which has a global view on the world. Moreover, i have also put some money in Monero.

Now, i am confused to invest in the long run for some bitcoins. Why ? Because prices are already really high but after reading a lot analysis, predictions are quite high.
What do you think about investment in some bitcoins at this high Price ? Thanks guys

it is pretty simple: bitcoin price will continue to go up, even if it is high in your eyes now. a while later it will be $1500 and then $2000 and then $4000 and so on. and you will keep saying price is high.

mean while altcoins like ethereum are falling hard. their price is 0.03BTC and then 0.02 and then 0.01 and keep falling and in a year or two the price will be 0.0001BTC and you are still saying bitcoin price is high.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you start gambling? (Because of BCT Promotion?) on: February 04, 2017, 04:23:18 AM
When did you start gambling online (and offline if you do not mind sharing)? Is it because of the awesome Games and Rounds forum at Bitcointalk?

Do you only start gambling after you use Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) because you feel that you cannot be tracked?

i have started gambling with bitcoin and started it online but not because of games and rounds board! those giveaways are mostly small as small as faucets.

but promotions are sometimes big and it has been one of the causes for my gambling habits. i wouldn't have made any bets in most of the sites if it weren't for their promotional giveaways.
1039  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we break $1000, are we going to see another ATH? on: February 04, 2017, 04:18:29 AM
I doubt it very much. And even IF we will see a new ATH it's nothing but a fad.
Why?! You ask...? Simple, the technical fundamentals to support this value are still missing, bitcoin does not scale, SegWit has been rejected by the community. Bitcoin does not offer privacy. And most importantly price-wise; the orderbooks are extremely weak.

Keep quacking, maybe some noobs will fall for your BS.

Do you actually have arguments against my case or you just like to shout nonsense and stick your head in the sand?

your case is full BS and you keep saying the same thing for years. at least say something new.
we are still waiting for your case of $100 to happen and we are 10 times over your predicted price now but you keep sticking to it.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever bought games from Steam using Bitcoin? If so, for how much? on: February 04, 2017, 04:11:48 AM
I saw some steam games there and for around $8 you can play a good steam game. This is a good step of steam to accept bitcoin. Though i never experienced buying games there. Im looking forward to buy games from them.
ive bought games from steam, it was really easy and it didnt even require confirmations.. the money was loaded as soon as i sent the bitcoin..

it gives you credit in your wallet, you can use to buy anything. i put 50$ on it and i got a couple games.
they did charge me tax.. so if you are looking for a 9.99 game you gotta put 15$ on it..

$5 just for tax. That was huge for tax. But its worth the games you bought.

no not 5$ for tax.. you can only do 5, 10, 25, and 50

so if you want something for 9.99 you cant just put 10$ on it and buy it.

You not making any sense? It also depends on your country. I didn't know they had tax why would they have tax ? The prices already have tax included in them. Dude what in the hell are you even talking about ? Do you even know ?

have you ever checked steam store?
when you purchase something worth $X they will charge you and additional amount called tax and you end up paying $X+$Y in the end.
why are you surprised about this?
