I have had a few 'test' coins done with ANACS. All went fine, with no import tax applied on the return leg to the UK, so I am now doing a bigger batch.... hopefully the same will apply there as well
Lessons .... 1. If you use a courier rather than someone who will pass to USPS to deliver, then you need to use the physical address, and not the PO box (with an actual person as the recipient - If you need it, let me know)
2. Complete all outbound shipping documents (packing list / customs declarations, and keep copies), and state that the coins collectable tokens you are sending are "numismatic items for review", and that they will be returned to you, the owner, following review ie no transfer of ownership / sale has taken place. This should assist in avoiding any taxation on the return leg, should you be challenged for payment - ie outbound shipment is same as return leg.
3. Register as a user on the website. It wont complete correctly, but customer services can assist you to finish the login (you can look at the progress on the portal, and will find out your grades quicker, than waiting for the shipping email for the coins return)
4. Keep copies of your ANACS submission form ... the order that the coins and grades are shown on the portal / return shipping email, are the same as the order the coins are on the form. So you can work out which coin has got what grade
5. On the old ANACS form due to expire at the end of June, international shipping is $45 + 1.25% of value. The newer form it is $75 + 1.25% of value. So use the old form and do it before the end of June. I am unsure what is downloadable on ANACS currently, but the paper form they send with your return that expires end of December has the $75 base international shipping charge... (again if you need this old PDF form ... ask me)
I will be doing another 1 or 2 grading batches prior to end of June prior top the rise. Sending out by UPS, and getting back by ANACS's courier FEDEX. So if anyone EU / UK wants to piggyback, then just let me know. Unless we have trust already, we may need to agree some form of 'contract' or public statement to provide reassurances, that the coins remain yours. Either way the offer is there, as its the shipping that ends up being the killer

I asked people in the thread if they wanted the auction time changed to 4 PM EST - and got no replies. The time was never changed from 9 PM EST. If the the time had changed to 4 PM EST those last bids would have been even later..by 5 hours. TheAnalogKid won the auction with 1.15BTC
If you guys prefer I will make my auctions earlier tell me a time in EST you prefer?
For me avoiding the hours between 7PM EST and 12 midnight EST helps (ie not after 1 AM or before 6 AM UK time) I am sure there will be some variants from the other none US potential bidders, we must be able to find a common time that suits as many as possble ... I would be interested to know as a seller, as I have a few coins to shift Good little helper ... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.htmlHelps schedule international meetings (its out by 1 hour in the UK though for British summer time) To me Midday East Coast 9 AM West Coast 5PM GMT (6 PM BST) plus or minus an hour or 2 ? (But obviously it will not suit all, but would it suit more ... ?) Where are the common bidders ... Mainly east coast, west coast, central europe / UK. plus 1 or 2 in various other places like South Africa and Oz / NZ. (Apologies if there are others - shout up, lets see if we can get something that can please as many as possible) What day to finish ? Weekends ? Weekdays

Is the auction still alive? If so, i bid BTC1.16
I'm not too sure on that one either OP said Auction End Date: 04/07/15 @ 9PM EST Then later said Well if everyone who has bid agrees I can change it to 4PM EST? Pretty early in auction so not a big deal to change it. (Unsure on what day that was going to be though ..) But then said 11.5 hours left on this! (at April 07, 2015, 02:29:24 PM forum time) Forum time is now April 08, 2015, 08:38:39 AM Looking ended I think ... Have to be honest, 9PM EST end times have stopped me bidding on 2 recent auctions. I cant do a UK 3AM end time (and maybe later due to sniping extensions) This price is /was an absolute steal for these coins.

I'm tempted to bid, but just how many other MS-68s do you have? The only MS68s I have left are not Lealana coins. These are the last of my Lealana coins...so no surprise 68s from me anytime soon. No surprise 69's either ?

Is the 10 a batch 1 error, or batch 2 coin. Doesnt look like it has the raised holo from the errors ?

Just a couple more weeks until these arrive ready to be engraved. Get your order in soon if you want to be included in the first batch to ship.
Great news

How much do they go for?
In the physical cryptocoin hayday, north of 1,000+ dollars. That day is yet to come ! You must've missed it. When BTC prices were still high, these coins were going for at least 2x the face value. Highest I've seen one sold for was 1,500 on ebay. I personally sold one for 1200 for a non error 2012 graded and 1800 for the error coin ungraded. The physical cryptocoin market is a little stale right now but I'm sure we will hit new highs as the market mature over time. I would also like to point out that the 2012 brass singles are RARELY on the market for sale. After Otoh took so many physicals off the market and with Chainsaw still holding out, these coins will just get harder and harder to find. I missed nothing. Regret selling many of the coins I did, even at the previous peaks. Yes the market has been higher, but for the rarest, and best graded coins, the future will be brighter than the past has been Many of the collectors here believe this

tonight @ 10pm GMT/uk time
10 pm in the UK was an hour ago ?
Bob need to call that, or sell to both of us ?
I saw gmt and 10pm just passed.
Perhaps I misunderstood?
The problem here is that right now UK doesn't have GMT time, it's UTC+1 because of summer time Let's see what OP decides. My personal opinion is he should sell to both of you. Correct. Sure we can sort it.

As this is a new thread, I will say it again I can vouch for David. I have done many many deals with David over a few years now. Through Ebay, or paypal invoice, or coin trade, or BTC payments, or bank transfer, or face to face. Never an issue. HardBTC was listed on Mikes Casascius site as a recommended reseller (may have been the first one listed from memory) I daren't imagine how many Cas coins were resold by David. 100's ... maybe even 1000's. He's just been working on other things more recently

I keep checking new registration and neg rating them..not many variations left lol. Take a look at all my recent negative ratings sent.
Hero member with 0 activity... looks completely legit. But the thing is, not everyone is always careful. So, the trick must pay at least sometimes otherwise the scammers wouldn't waste their time on it. Could always register a few of those variations yourself, and ask the mods to disable the accounts (or negative rate your spoof aliases) ? Prevention is always better than cure :-) I have been leaving them negatives..been checking pretty often for new ones being made. I think at this point not much is left that even comes close to this nickname Fair play Blazed. I do hope one day that the serial scammer is outed and publicly flogged - perhaps a 'coining'. They get lined up, and we all throw our lower value physical cryptos at them, until they stop kicking. I have a few rolls of the copper 'commerative type coins' I would donate. Might even keep them in the roll to get a beefier shot in. Perhaps silver wallets could do a 'copper mule' just for the occasion ! Good luck with the auction. Reckon it will be a hot last hour. I look forward to reading what happened when I wake up tomorrow (unless the 15 minute anti sniping rule is still in play, at just after midnight EST).

I am wondering if he will honour his bid. He also bid 8.2 BTC on a silver 0.5 BTC. He's either trolling or he has too much money to spend on physical coins . Could this be the start of the Russian Olygarchs getting into physical crypto .... seems to be on the russian area of the forum a lot. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=221806.msg2369956#msg2369956Made a bid of 281 coins way back in 2013. Looks like he was mining, or wanting to. No reason to doubt .... Welcome to the madhouse GI
