Out of interest I looked at the data from bitcoincharts.com which gave 70.86 days of data. According to that $2,568,748 was traded on tradehill in USD (There is the liberty reserve data as well which I didn't include). This is $36,251 a day on average. With the 0.56% commissions that is $406 a day extrapolated to $148,190 a year. Considering Tradehill seems pretty good (And compared to mtgox) and bitcoin will likely grow further, that seems pretty good to me. Though when Tradehill started the volumes were higher but have dropped off a bit yet I think bitcoin can grow further.

Gold can't go up and up all the time, you must expect corrections. If you have the time, expertise and appetite for risk you can short these corrections but over the long term gold is going up.

They have probably lost any profits on the short positions by now and will start to lose money as gold goes higher from here or sometime soon.

Don't the cabin crew get a little freaked out?

Bollinger bands I assume. No reason to be anything but bearish on the short term. Do I take short-term risks? No, so I held.

Good luck with that. Don't waste all your money on that short position because you'll regret it. You are so funny. Gold down -3.7% today.
I am already +40% in the profits with the leveraged short position I took today. That totally means it's doing down to $1000. You might lose your super leveraged profits if you aren't careful.

On the way down to where?

I think the better way to look at it is the increase in money supply (M1, M2, and M3) in comparison to GDP Why? How? Also I meant to copy the up-to-date graph. Also the only fundamentals I have read on this topic (I skipped through parts because I can't be bothered with all of it) is the idea that we will have massive price deflation which makes no sense. Can anyone back up the idea that somehow there will be price deflation?
Well as I believe there wil be more price inflation because of the monetary inflation. http://www.chartingstocks.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/money-supply.gifAdjusted Monetary Base: The sum of currency in circulation outside Federal Reserve Banks and the U.S. Treasury, deposits of depository financial institutions at Federal Reserve Banks, and an adjustment for the effects of changes in statutory reserve requirements on the quantity of base money held by depositories Does this graph not scare anyone? You lot like to talk about price technicals but ignore the fundamentals it seems.

Why would something go down harshly just because it has gone up a lot, is what I mean.
APPL is high. Is that going to crash too?
You mean you think there will be deflation? Why do you think that? There wont be deflation and investors will know this more than they did in '08 as the economic problems come into light. A major stock market correction will happen and it will be harder for governments to put it off this time around. This is pretty much given but will there be deflation? I don't think so.
Silver will be hit by a stock market crash but gold shouldn't be hit badly.
Why would gold go down 20% like in '08 when '08 was different. '08 was a harsh turn in circumstances for investors and investors thought there would be deflation.

THis could be the beginning of a down trend in markets. There could be knock-on effects to this which will keep the markets going down. Remember that the economy is in bad shape so there was be good cause for markets to go down. The "recovery" was fake.
Maybe a good time to short stocks but I wont pass judgement on that.

It's not really open source in the normal sense of open source software unless you allow modification and re-distribution. The additional services can still be provided if people were to modify the software, right? And if people wanted to sue your additional services they'd use your version. I see no reason why you can't make this modifiable.

Does not free market mean being able to sell/buy whatever I want at whatever price I want? If you can agree a price with a buyer/seller.
