1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to start betting on sports? on: November 03, 2023, 11:56:01 AM
I am thinking to start betting on sports because I think it is fair then other games and there I should be able to control my hands which I could control while playing games like dice, plinko, mines, etc.
I want to know how can i start betting on sports with good winrate, I am asking this type of question because i have no knowledge about any sports or players.
please give me some tips, strategy, resources to getting started.
Casinos have better odds than bookies.

For normal sport betting, you will need to check the statistic of last the first matches two clubs that are meeting have. You also need to know the players that they are using, if a player is not among and if he is one if the star players or the star player, the match may not favor a very strong club while playing with underdogs. You can also check some predictions sites, but do not believe in prediction sites more than 50%.

Let us hope that you will not later find out about virtual matches which is like you are gambling on a casino because the time needed for it is short and not more than 30 second. Another one are in-play which can be addicting because there are many matches that you can continue to gamble with their in-play.
1042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Must Read: Scams disguised as premium signal groups/channel on: November 03, 2023, 09:32:48 AM
Here are some basic questions we need to ask ourselves:
1. If they can help you earn so much profit they would already be ultra rich and wouldn't be spamming your inbox to join their paid group
2. Why don't they share the daily report or weekly to check their accuracy percentage
3. Why don't they make it free even on trail basis so that users can get a first hand experience and join
Signal providers are scammers and nothing more that we can call them. They only care about their pockets and not the signal they give to people. If they give signal and the person trade with it and the person lose, they are not concerned or bothered but happy because of the money the person paid them for giving him the signal. They are just fake as they are and nothing more good than to avoid them.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerians spend $975m daily on online betting on: November 02, 2023, 03:29:05 PM
if large number of people are spending this much on betting, can we say that they relied on gambling to survive?
It should not be like that. If it is like that and they are relying on gambling, gambling sites that they are using will be very happy because they will make more money from them. I guess that most people that will be gambling among the 32% will be 80 to 95% men.

Gambling should be for fun, not a way of making money.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 11:32:23 AM
Nah, I only used one before. I am afraid the more platforms I use the more money will come out of my pocket. Though I gamble moderately and I find it  hard for me to use multiple platforms due to the need of multiple funds as well. If it was a crypto one fees could be high.
I saw some people that posted something like this, but it is not affecting me. Maybe because I am having a separate wallet for gambling and because I only gambling during weekends. My money do not stay long on a gambling site. If I win, I will withdraw immediately for next week. I gamble just during weekends like I said and that may be the reason. So I can just deposit money on the gambling site that I want to use the following week which would be some hours or minutes to when I want to gamble on the site.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 11:27:05 AM
When it comes to sports betting this method is used to get better opportunity or to consider the Odds on each site because when gamblers use larger amounts of money to bet the difference of just 0.2 will be very noticeable.
I do the calculation with $10000. I mean for someone to bet with $10000 and I noticed a big difference in the return if the bet is won. I did not noticed this because I bet with little amount of money. The highest bet that I have gone for using a bookie and my real money this year is $21 on a single match which was just one bet in that whole week. Other stakes that I used for betting are very low. So with that amount of money which is small, no noticeable difference.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 09:43:17 AM
The strategy of funding accounts on multiple bookmakers is known to be used by people that want to catch the best odds when betting on sports for example. Sometimes people will monitor multiple platforms and bet when the odds allow then for a safe win. However, I am not sure if this strategy would be worth attempting when doing crypto-based betting on the sports books that offer it.
On different bookies, the odds are different but just only slightly different in a way you will consider them not different. I do not because of this have account more than one betting sites.

What are your thoughts on this? When you bet with crypto do you find it easier or harder to fund multiple accounts? Because I am getting a sense that crypto bettors are more compelled to shop around a lot more, but only until they find a bookmakers that fits their needs, and then they will hardly move any funds to other platforms. Surely thete must be some reasons behind this or even some very different takes. What are your thoughts?
You will later stick to the one or two that is best to you, the reason you are using them is because you find them better and unique. But welcome bonus is another thing that gamblers can make use to try another bookie, if it is perfect enough than the other bookies that you have been using, you will see yourself using it too and gradually leaving one of the ones that you are using before, but if not, you may get the bonus and not using the bookie again.
1047  Economy / Exchanges / Binance bitcoin wallet maintenance on: November 02, 2023, 07:25:11 AM
I do not know how long this maintenance would be, but it is happening on November 3rd at 2:00 am (UTC). I think as Binance had announced it, it is good for any Binance user on this forum to also know about it for them not to be disappointed of what we call not your key not your coin in time like this.

1048  Other / Meta / Re: How do I change my display name? on: November 02, 2023, 06:55:30 AM
According to your post history, your account is just waking up after about five years of inactivity. It is possible to have your name changed on this forum, but the chances are minimal, especially if you are inactive. I suppose you have missed a lot of the forum because you have been gone for so long. I recommend that you simply scrub this account and start a new one with the username you choose, then continue from there.
The account has no merit and just only 25 posts are yet posted with the account, leaving the account and create new one is better. But if he starts to be active and posting in a good way, theymos will later change the username for him. But I do not think if OP would be serious enough to make it work that way, so he can easily achieve that with what you suggested.
1049  Other / Meta / Re: How do I change my display name? on: November 02, 2023, 06:49:28 AM
How do I change my display name?
Send personal message to theymos.

You can’t, there are ways of applying, but there is no need for you to try because it won’t be approve.
Why not try and apply and see it not approved than not trying at all. If I can remember correctly, people that asked theymos to change their name, theymos changed it last year December for many of them. Although I think theymos changed the username for people that are visiting the forum frequently.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 01, 2023, 04:40:46 PM
Yes you can be addicted. But you will not be addicted if you are conscious about it. Have a gambling budget and do not go beyond it. Like me my gambling budget is 5% of my weekly income. Let your gambling budget be an amount of money that you can afford to lose. Do not see gambling as a way of making money.

You can visit https://livecasino.io and try the fun mode to play some games without using money. Gamble with the games that you will have fun with.

You will see some other casinos on gambling board.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 01, 2023, 12:26:26 AM
I like to talk about the negative side of gambling because people will always gamble as gambling is in the nature of humans, so we that had seen the good and the bad side of gambling will prefer to let newbies and addicted people know that gambling addiction is not good at all and that is why we talked more about the negative side.

Gambling relieves depression but when a person loses several bets in a row, a kind of hatred is created in his mind and then from that hatred he commits various types of criminal activities.
If someone is losing, it can lead to depression. Gambling can result to depression for those that are newbies to gambling and for those that are addicted. Later, other negative things can begin just as you have said.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: October 31, 2023, 06:13:35 PM
so am I becoming an addict? No.
You did not fund your betting account since two days after you lost $20. If you have money in your bank account or crypto address and you did not use it to continue gambling, that means you are not an addict. It means you have control over yourself and your decision while gambling.

But you can enjoy gambling more, just use like $0.5 for each bet next time. This will make you have long time on the gambling site and you will not lose the whole $10 to $20 at money at once, you may even gain than loss.
1053  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MATIC for gas fees ! Please help ! on: October 31, 2023, 05:34:19 PM
Yes I would really appreciate if someone can help me. I rather send 2$ to a member in return rather than purchase 10$ worth of matic just for 1 transaction gas fee
Someone sent you USDT on BEP20 recently: NOOB: Question regarding USDT BEP20 problem !

I will not want this to repeat. Learn how to be independent.

Do not use Binance if you want to trade with less than $10. Binance is the only exchange I noticed that is doing that out of all the exchanges that I am using.

Use others like Bybit and you will be able to trade even $2.

Or on Binance or the exchange that you are using, first convert like $13 worth of your coin to matic and convert $10 matic back to the coin you converted to matic.
1054  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MATIC for gas fees ! Please help ! on: October 31, 2023, 05:24:17 PM
You can simply just go to any exchange and buy Matic and then transfer it to the wallet. Gas fees are transaction fees needed by altcoin network to propagate your transaction. It is just like bank transfer fees for traditional currency
I think the OP knows that he needs matic, but he needs someone to send him some amount of matic, that he will send $2 in USDC to the person.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: October 31, 2023, 04:12:26 PM
What is the most money you have ever lost in one session? could be land base casino or crypto casino.

mine was $200,000 on Stake.com 2 weeks ago
You have big amount of money. This amount is enough for many people to be successful in life. It is also good to start a business with huge amount like this than to be betting. Do not mind me, you are likely a very rich person and the amount of money may be small to you but if it is me, I do not know how rich I would be to bet as huge as this in amount of money.

I have lost $500 at once before to gambling site. It was not a good day for me.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Little Advice For Gamblers on: October 31, 2023, 08:34:23 AM
What they should have done if they want to have access to his computer is to try to brute force the password. If the password is short they can be lucky, but they may not be have luck.

I have little amount of money that I can afford to lose on gambling sites, but this would be helpful for those that are gambling with high amount of money.

This is a good lesson for bitcoin and other crypto holders and traders and we have discussed things like this several times on bitcoin discussion in the past, but about bitcoin holding.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: October 31, 2023, 07:47:03 AM
I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?
Yes. I have said it over and over on this forum. I started to gamble in 2014 and I was addicted immediately because I was thinking it can let me make some money, not knowing my thinking was not good at all.

I was able to overcome the addiction in 2019 which was 5 years after I started to gamble.

To be honest in the past I have spent a lot of money gambling. What I mean here is that I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe the nominal amount is not that big but it makes me feel like a gambling addict. I spent 5 months of my savings on gambling. Currently I am aware and am in the stage of improving my own financial condition. Have you ever felt like a gambling addict? and how much did you lose in gambling?
When I was addicted, I hardly have money in bank or on the gambling site account. I eyas always broke and seeing any amount of money, I use it to gamble and likely I will lose all again that week.
1058  Economy / Gambling / Re: Omada Social Sports: Experience the thrill of sports betting on: October 30, 2023, 09:05:21 PM
I can see on playstore that they have over 1 million downloads already and it is highly rated by those that downloaded the app. It is about sport betting. I will try to gamble on the site with some people and see how it works. But this is not about casinos, just sport.
1059  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken Warns Users: Your Bitcoin Trading Data Is Headed to the IRS on: October 30, 2023, 07:41:52 PM
I can read in some people's post that this is invasion of privacy. I will say it is not invasion of privacy like that because once we pass our KYC documents to exchanges for verification, we do not have the privacy again. One of the reasons I created this topic is because people can know how KYC can be of disadvantage. But some people have no option than to make us of these CEX, because they are traders and they trade often. But for people to have privacy, centralized exchanges should be avoided.
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for stake alternatives on: October 30, 2023, 03:24:20 PM
You can try https://livecasino.io. You will really like the site.
They don't have house games, do they?
What do you mean by house games? You means those like roulettes, blackjack and baccarat and others? Livecasino has many of them.

Edit: https://livecasino has keno games.
