1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Test on: March 14, 2023, 10:00:18 PM

I guess I am not that much addicted but when I lose, somehow in my mind, I try to get back what I have lost. That's what can't get me out of this. I have a good self-control while gambling, but when I lose, I can't do it properly. That urge to get back what I have lost is a real pain in the ass when you are gambling. Other than that, everything works out great if I can plan it beforehand.

I think that's somehow normal for gamblers like us mate, surely nobody would want to think that they are just donating those funds to the platform without taking any chance to at least retrieve some of those funds that has been lost. But maybe, you should not try and force it, just do some regular bets and this time, try to take a much less risks bets that you think has more chances and do not chase those odds because chances are, you cannot think it clearly because those odds are tempting you. A win is a win and worth to celebrate with.
1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 14, 2023, 09:06:55 PM
Warriors won!
Steph and Klay were hot in the 1st half making a 25-point lead. But the Suns never gave up and pursued a close battle, they did and even got close to a 3-point lead. But the early foul trouble and bonus for the Warriors at 6 minutes left in the 4th are what made the difference, then there's Jordan Poole who suddenly got hot.
Did they shake hands after the game? I didn't see it. Seems like even Damion Lee is creating some trouble against Jamychal Green in garbage time.

Great to hear that the Warriors are back! They seem to be on a roll lately, with two consecutive wins against tough opponents in the NBA, the Bucks and the Suns. It's always fun to watch Thompson shoot his normal, and he seems to be more comfortable now in the 3 point line. He has been consistent lately with his shooting, which is great news for the Warriors.
Warriors won "ON THEIR HOME" where they have one of the best home records right now.

TBH, I'm more nervous than exciting on how the Warriors are playing this season. Yes the Warriors are winning on their home, and like you said, they beat Bucks and Suns who are at the top teams currently, but that's on their home. What if that happened on the road? Will it be the same.

That is the thing, it's not that new that we are witnessing the Warriors winning on their home but don't take it wrong, it still makes me excited whenever they are at home because the team is overshooting their stats as they are just so hard to beat at Chase Center or even in the Oracle Arena where the first homecourt of the present core players.

But the fact is, I'm still not that convinced since Steph Curry returned because the Bucks and Suns that they defeated just recently are the teams who lacks their core players, Giannis and Durant respectively. Before that, when they are still on the road, they cannot even defeat the Grizzlies who doesn't have Adams, Clarke and Ja Morant which makes them so bad on the road. Now that they are back on their road games, which is 5 games in total, let's see if they can defeat those teams because the way I way I see it, the easiest one is the Houston Rockets.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 14, 2023, 08:35:25 PM
Judging from the geographical and weather conditions, it seems that the South American zone is very supportive for national teams from Europe, many national teams seems not comfortable when Qatar as the host of FIFA World Cup 2022 because have hot weather and changed several league schedule for World Cup matches held on at the end year.

Still not official confirmed yet with FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States will held on middle years after several European League competition ended or FIFA keep try begin like the same previous FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, but most effective with FIFA World Cup start after all league ended around June until July not on December like in Qatar.

To be honest, I didn't hear any complaints from the participants who competed in the 2022 world cup in Qatar regarding the weather conditions. because, the organizers have designed it in such a way for the convenience of the players. plus, visitors. they've worked around this with state-of-the-art "giant air conditioning" cooling technology to keep the stadium cool. so, weather problems were not an obstacle at the 2022 world cup in Qatar. but regarding the World Cup schedule being changed, that's true. it aims, in order to overcome the extreme climate. As a result, the league schedule was disrupted. but yes, at least the 2022 world cup was successful and lively despite the many controversies surrounding it.

Of course, there wasn't any complaints from any participants or teams who competed in the recent World Cup which was held in Qatar because aside from they are getting world-class treatment and amenities, Qatar World Cup has been held in the winter season instead of summer season where regular games has been scheduled from June to July. Qatar and FIFA council has been working together to make the World Cup season-friendly so that the national teams will not be playing under the hot scorching sun in the summer.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Word of encouragement for Bitcoin investors on: March 13, 2023, 09:56:57 AM
Those who come and have the plan to invest should never think about investing in crypto as a sort of trial and error because I don't want you to lose your money. That is why before to start investing in Bitcoin or altcoins, we have to make sure that we already have enough knowledge about the market. In fact, it was a part of the investment plan, we have to study the nature of the market and all the things needed. A failure to do this will end up losing our money and of course, time.

Better we understand how crypto world, it is possible we commit mistakes but never make this as an excuse to quit unless we really don't have a plan to correct our mistakes.
1045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting now. on: March 13, 2023, 09:24:13 AM
I had a different thread on how to start on Bitcoin and had so many useful and helpful knowledge given to me at that thread. I just wanna say thanks to all those who replied to my post. And also, yes, I will be starting to do trading on cryptocurrencies. With that being said, I also want to take this opportunity to ask, what would be the best cryptowallet to use at this time?
Traders usually don't use exchange wallets to keep their funds and that is what you need as well. Many replies above mention hardware wallet and Electrum wallet, and many more. Perhaps you can choose from those wallets but I suggest you not keep all of your funds in a single wallet for some security reasons. I don't say that they are totally safe but at least they are safer than using an exchange wallet because you have full control of it.

Well, the only I can say to you is that good luck in your trading journey. And please keep in mind that not only do you have the keys/passwords in your wallet, then you can say you are safe but can't underestimate hackers as they can send you links leading to such thing.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tony Harrison vs Tim Tszyu - Mar 13, 2023 on: March 13, 2023, 08:02:56 AM
Congratulations to Tim Tszyu for a well-deserved win, Tim Tszyu just prove that he is not afraid to take a hit to get a hit, he breaks down Tony Harrison with his jabs, body, and head punches this is a good preparation for the Charlo fight, he is popular in Australia before the fight but after this fight, the boxing world now knows him and he will become even popular if he beats Charlo for his next fight.
That's what I saw in this fight too. Tszyu was not afraid to get hit, probably because he did not respect the power of his opponent. It was his power shots that eventually knocked out his opponent. Although I knew from the beginning that Tszyu was heavily favored to win, I also noticed a weakness in him, which was that he wasn't quick enough to evade his opponent's punches. Anyway, congratulations to him.

True, he went toe to toe, maybe he has seize up the power of Harrison early and knows that he can't hurt him that much so he decided to be the aggressor per round and as it goes on, Harrison tires, misses a lot of shots.

Again, maybe he don't want to evade that shots of Harrison as he pushes inside as he want to put Tony in a bad position and he did in round 9, those uppercuts are on the money and Harrison can't response to that barrage of punch and the referee knows it.

I hope that's the strategy he is pursuing. I don't want him to be careless against a better fighter. Perhaps he accepted the punches from Harrison because he can take them, but eventually, Harrison's power shots overwhelmed him. It would be a great strategy if that is indeed his plan, and maybe next time, facing a different opponent, he will have a different approach to avoid receiving too many power shots.

He was supposed to face Charlo, but the news came up that he would have a new opponent. Probably, this fight is just a tune-up fight for him, and with this big win, I believe he will be ready to fight Charlo in his next bout. I'm impressed that he could absorb the shots from Harrison; perhaps Tszyu has a solid chin. So, I would not be surprised if he could go toe-to-toe against Charlo.
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the last chance to exchange stablecoins for Bitcoin on: March 12, 2023, 10:24:14 AM
Bitcoin price is now at $20,404 and Bitcoin price is likely to move lower.
That means it's not the last chance, right?
All in just for the reasons above is not a good decision imo, bitcoin never closes the opportunity to go to a lower level. The news of the release of Bitcoin from Mtgox is still no updates, but I believe that at this time several media are preparing their versions of FUD and as usual the market reaction will be seen immediately.
Do people are really excited about the release of BTC from MtGox? Might it be just another FUD or not, but it doesn't matter because we are still aware of the volatile situation of the market, it pumps and dumps for many reasons. So, if we are trusting Bitcoin since before then we have no reason why we got affected by the FUDs and worried about the future.
I still buy Bitcoin because I believe that Bullrun is coming, I can wait for it no matter how long it comes.
1048  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: March 12, 2023, 09:53:02 AM
We're not at the party or in a meeting that we think we come late for not coming before its start. As long as there is Bitcoin available on the market to buy, nothing we can say that we are late. However, many years had passed by while we do nothing even though we hear about crypto, we really missed the opportunity as well. That is the thing we only got but fortunately, we still have the chance to start and make a journey this time. Take this opportunity OP while prices are still low and choose only potential coins whether it was for long-term or short-term investment.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2023, 07:31:39 PM
Judging from the geographical and weather conditions, it seems that the South American zone is very supportive for national teams from Europe, many national teams seems not comfortable when Qatar as the host of FIFA World Cup 2022 because have hot weather and changed several league schedule for World Cup matches held on at the end year.

In fact, so far maybe FIFA has not officially announced that the next World Cup will be held in these three countries. However, as this news is being reported from many media outlets, it is likely to happen. But I believe whatever decision FIFA takes will be happy and convincing to football fans all over the world.
There were many factors that make FIFA to changed the date of 2022 world cup tournament at Qatar. The Coruna Virus played the major role for the changing of the date. When the virus was heating the whole world in 2020 and the first and second quarters of 20221, FIFA made a pronouncement that the date of the world would be shifted and I believed that was why the date was changed. Then also considering the weather at Qatar, although I have not been to Qatar even the world cup tournament I watched it from home TV in my country, so I might not really know the weather condition in the country. Probably FIFA also looked at that angle too.

The change in the calendar of the world cup caused by the Coronavirus had a positive effect on Qatar, as they had more time to remodel the stadium. If they were to play the game during the normal time, Qatar would have needed to prepare the stadiums faster, but in 2026, the host of the world cup won't have this advantage, so I guess all three countries are preparing themselves just in time for the world cup.

That is indeed one of the reasons but that's just the minor ones as Qatar can even remodel their stadium in a much earlier stage without hasting the process because they had 12 years to prepare for it. That was their preparation time, imagine? So, re-modeling their stadiums and Covid-19 wasn't the only factors why the schedule was moved to November.
The reason was that the temperature is quite high if it were to happen in regular schedules in June-July as the temperature in summer can soar up to 40° C while in winter time which was in November to December, it's only 24°C-25°C.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 11, 2023, 06:04:17 PM
When it comes to experience, I would say that Donaire would definitely dominate the ring, age might caught up to him, but, he would still find a way to show Santiago that he definitely deserved that title. But, if Donaire would be defeated, there is a higher chance that that would be his last battle, I think.

If Donaire would not retire after he is defeated, I think that it would have a hard time getting the title back as his.

Yes, that scenario is very much possible, but if this is going to be a close one, and Donaire losses it, then maybe we can a rematch. But if the fight is not even close and Donaire getting into the canvass and didn't win in the judges scorecard or getting knockout again, it's time for him to retire.

Because if he didn't then it might take some time for him to bounce (if there is no rematch), and by that time, he will be 40+ years old. And no way he can still fight as he might be just the stepping stone for this young fighters and we don't want to see that happen to Donaire.

Given that the fight's outcome was close and Donaire was defeated, they should make the rematch on this very same year as every time goes by, we know that age can be a bigger factor to a boxer's performance especially now that Donaire is already 40 years of age. But if it's the latter where Donaire was defeated without a doubt, I bet that his wife, his personal manager would force him to retire even if Donaire still wanted to fight.

I don't expect a close fight on this one, and if Donaire loses, I don't think he will win the rematch, just like what happened against Inoue. Donaire is getting older, but he wants to prove that he can still win a championship. This is his first and only chance. If he loses, he may announce his retirement and enjoy life after boxing.

We can't be sure of that if it will be a close fight or not, that is why we're giving a scenario if ever the fight will be close to make a rematch happen and if that happens, they should activate it immediately because time is not on their side but if it's the other way around where it is so clear that Donaire has lost then there's no sense for Donaire and to his camp to pursue a rematch or even fight someone else because the outcome would be likely be the same.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 11, 2023, 03:04:57 PM
I've been away for a while, but I'm active again!

I confess, I'm a surprised by the result of some games and that's a fact, day after day the games are very competitive and several teams want a seed in the playoffs.

It's incredible, the performance of the Lakers in these last few games, literally AD is carrying the team on its back!
I have no doubt that he could be the go-to player for the Lakers when LJ is absent.

Lately I'm betting a little bit, because I'm having difficulty to "hit" some bets.

Agreed this year has probably been my worst year in terms of day to day.  I'm still weary on the Lakers.  I got dough against them most of the time they are constantly over bet just like the yankees in baseball (and I'm a yankees fan).  Just look at their nba championship odds, they are like 10th right now and might not even male the playoffs lol.  It's always an easy bet year in year out.

I'm still not all in on betting on the Lakers yet even after their recent performance either.  They've burned me too many times with false hope now.  When LeBron comes back from his injury, if they take it to another level and start beating really good teams without injured star players then I might start getting excited for the playoffs.  I think Phoenix is still the team to beat though if KD can stay healthy.  Crazy how injuries have become such a major role in today's NBA.

It's because the most of the supporting players are not getting that much time to show what they are, that is why in most cases, the team will crumble if their superstars will be injured because they are taught to rely and support their stars, and not the other way around.

Regarding about the Lakers, it's okay not to trust them fully because they are still proving themselves and we are not that familiar yet to their new line-up but let's be honest, since the trade of Westbrook and with the acquisition of Rui Hachimura, D'Lo and Vanderbilt, we saw some changes that we didn't really expect. Their current line-up can make more difference compared their line-up before the trade.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 11, 2023, 02:59:30 AM
Same with the rematch mate, we really can't say if it is a done deal with 168 lbs or 175 lbs. There were interviews through Eddie Hearn that says Bivol wanted to go down or willing at least to try 168 lbs as long as Canelo is going to put his SMW belt. But there's article also pointing out that Bivol wanted the rematch at 175 lbs because that's where he beat Canelo. So right now the picture is not clear yet. Maybe Canelo wanted a tune up fight with Ryder this year and then made his decision next for a Bivol rematch. He is still the A-side and most likely will call the shots even if he loss the first time against Bivol.
There are arguments to be made for the fight to take place at both weights, Canelo looked slow on the light heavyweight division so he may be interested on fighting Bivol on his division and beating him there, however as you said if he does this then he will not win another belt and he will only prove that he is the very best on his division, something we already knew, but if he were to lose on his home turf this will decrease his reputation in a significant way.

That is the big question as of now and sadly, it might take a while before we can have any answers regarding the question whether the rematch of Bivol and Canelo will happen at 168 or 175.

And as per boxrec, Canelo Alvarez already have a fight scheduled this coming 6th of May. The information regarding the upcoming fight is not yet filled but people are already assuming that it will be John Ryder.

It is John Ryder as we all have been speculating, even his manager says it's him. Maybe we are just waiting for the official announcement as when the fight is going to happen as they are waiting for Canelo's hand to heal 100%.
Even Eddie Hearn as well has confirmed that Canelo's next fight is indeed John Ryder, right now they are just finalizing the deal so that they can push through towards their projected date which is in May. It's not that surprising that Canelo will take this path because he surely knows what would be the consequence if he will pursue Bivol immediately after his surgery without taking a tune-up fight.

Quote
So John Ryder first for Canelo in his comeback, and maybe Bivol will also have a tune up fight this year because I hear that they are names already for his next fight as well, but I can't remember the name if it is Buatsi or someone.
Yes, Bivol might likely fight Joshua Buatsi in the next few months while Canelo is still busy on his tune-up fight. Eddie Hearn have said that they might activate the rematch and have the fight happen in September, this year.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2023, 09:42:33 PM
If I have to answer your question (Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin?), it should be like this. You can predict the future, but you can't be 100% sure that it will happen no matter what. Were they stupid? No. Was it just luck? No. It was just a bad decision, but for that they have created history and that's why we are still talking about them in 2023. It's because of them, now we know the true value of bitcoin. Agreed?
They paid the price for us to learn. Maybe it's a good thing, right?

Yup, and here's some facts for the OP. Those 3 people mentioned who made a history was already lucky that they've known bitcoin at that point in time where it is not yet making any fuss in the world. What they did was a choice and that choice was to make a history, and surely what they did paid off because look at the market now.
Furthermore, I really don't believe that those moves they made was already their entire bitcoin investment. As I said above, it was a choice and those coins were sacrificed to make a noise.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 09, 2023, 09:11:32 PM
Thurman is the one who got nothing more to lose because his career is now on the point that if he will get defeated again, then it's time for him to hang his gloves up. It might be early for his age but there's nothing he can do because if he will continue his career, he will become a trophy for someone else's career and a stepping stone for that same someone to have good fights in the future.
But for Spence, he got everything to lose here and he might not have his belts at stake but his value and reputation are on the line because a defeat from Thurman will seriously decline his value and he will have his first defeat in his career. Furthermore, the governing bodies will probably make him as an example so that they don't have to take the blame anymore and will likely arrange a fight with Crawford or Boots Ennis to clean their names from being affiliated with Spence and Al Haymon.

Comparing those things that both boxers will have if they lose, it's correct that Spence will have the most impact on his career. Losing Thurman, not just it's an embarrassing loss but it would be clear to us that he won't have a chance to win at Crawford at 148.

Let's face it though that Spence has the upper edge on this fight and probably would be easy to win against the current Thurman.

Well, yes, that is the reality right now. Spence got more advantage in this fight compared to Thurman and just like the advantages, Spence also have more to lose in this fight if ever an upset will happen but basing on the odds and chances, people are surely rooting for the latter but they also cannot deny that his chances are not that strong compared to Spence who's still in his prime.

Quote
The much higher purse split share can also not be demanded now by the Spence camp if they intend to negotiate with Crawford again. The mega bout has a chance to happen now although if Spence loses on Thurman but I can't consider fighting against Crawford still can be considered a mega bout.
Not really mate, why would that happen? Spence and Al Haymon still have the aces on their sleeves because Spence still got 3 belts in his possession even if he will be defeated by Thurman, that means they still have the right to demand compared to Crawford who just have 1 belt.

Earlier I woke up seeing a clip on Facebook of Kevin Durant slipping on the floor while warming up against OKC. I thought it won't become a major issue until I heard updates that he is not playing against OKC. It was supposed to be the first game of KD as a Suns in Phoenix. No update on his injury yet but hopefully it isn't that bad. Phoenix Suns are on fire right now with a 4 game winning streak. They'll be in trouble if KD isn't back as their next 3 games are against the Kings, Warriors, and Bucks. Imagine if it is once again a season-ending injury. Booker and CP3 are bad luck. Cheesy **peace**

Source: https://www.nba.com/news/kevin-durant-ankle-slips-during-warmups-misses-home-suns-debut
It's too bad for Kevin Durant. He already had a lot of injuries like his ruptured Achilles at the year 2019 and he missed the entire 2019-20 season and also in the 2020-21 NBA season due to various of injuries. Hoping that he will recover fast this time the Phoenix suns needs him for the upcoming games since it will be facing goods teams like Bucks and Warriors.
KD's injury now is not that bad tho he still needs to recover for his safety and for a better game.

No update as of now about the severity of his ankle injury.
Suns fear star could miss rest of regular season with ankle sprain

It will be a real bad news for the team if it turns out that Durant will be again in the sidelines for the rest of the season and cannot play the upcoming playoffs as the team needed him more now while regular season's end is fast approaching and just like what you guys have mentioned, their next five games are not that easy to win even if Booker is healthy. Let's just be positive for now that he will just have to rest for a maximum of two weeks or less.

What do you all think about the Warriors vs. Memphis game tomorrow?

Both teams are on a losing streak, and Morant is still not going to play due to an indefinite suspension. Therefore, I believe the Warriors have the edge to win the game. Although these two teams are rivals and love to play against each other, the Grizzlies missing their best player is a significant disadvantage in my opinion.

Therefore, I would bet on GSW -2.5

The Golden State Warriors got more edge in this game because their main line-up is healthy and alive especially the Big Three, Wiggins and GP2 might not play in the game as of now but they can still manage against the Grizzlies who are missing a lot of their key players especially in their defense capabilities as well as their offense as Clarke and Adams are still ruled out. GSW -2.5 is reasonable enough.

As a matter of fact, I got them on my list for the games later.
Warriors -2.5 vs Grizzlies
Kings -2 vs Knicks
Hornets -3.5 vs Pistons

Congratulations. That was an unbelievable feat. Just this week I tried doing multi bets although I included some matches and sports that I already didn't watch closely. After losing some tickets, I gave up. But after reading this inspiring story, I am thinking of doing it again. And just like everyone else, I am curious if you will share your next multi-bets. I'll give it a try and see if I can get some of your luck. Grin
Don’t panic and jump in to the gamble by just reading someone story. If you jump into gambling only by hearing other people's stories, it will bring you bigger losses.  You will never win big prizes by following other people's stories.  Big prizes are not always won.  It suddenly gets to someone. You can get it too, but neither you nor anyone knows when.  You can try but never panic. Keep gambling with a cool mind

No worries. I never panic about anything mate. And I won't just jump completely without checking it. And besides, if I ever follow OP's bets, it will be very small amounts that won't hurt my feelings if it loses. It would be dumb if people believes that there is such a thing as called sure-bets. Multi-bets are the most difficult in sports betting so we better expect their low chances of winning. Maybe $10 or a little more or less will be my range. If a $300 ticket can win $417k then a $10 ticket can probably get $10k when lucky.

That's right. We should not forget that gambling has only only two sides, it's either you win or lose. There's no such thing as draw as you will just have either one of the outcome at the end of the day, why? I don't think that you will stop betting once your bets hit the draw mark, chances are that you will still continue until you will end the day with losses or wins.
Mostly importantly, you cannot achieve big hits if you're following someone's shadow. If you feel that you're lucky, then go for it. Don't go and start betting if you will just trust your fate in other person's hand.

I'd say there are 4 sides, not only two

win big
win small
loose big
loose small

as in trading avoiding big losses is a must if you want to stay in the game

patience and emotional control plays a big role in the game

Whatever you label it mate, it will still go back to only 2 sides just like a coin. It doesn't matter if you win big, win small, lose big and lose small as defeats are still defeats as well as wins are still a win no matter what angle you're trying to see it.

And actually, we cannot really compare betting towards trading because it's a two different kind. Trading requires experience and learning but for betting, not really. It's just a battle of luck especially if it's just a casino games but for sports betting, that's also a different one.

Trading and gambling are very far unless you are just trading using luck and without any knowledge or experience at all like flipping a coin to decide what trade you will tick into. Though gambling of it needs strategy and also experience like card games still it is all about luck, the main difference is that trading is for profit, business and investment but gambling, is for fun and it is difficult to make a living from it, unlike trading and also in all aspects patience and controling emotions is a must to be successful

Yes, you can as it's your funds, so it's your rules. But that is not really recommended to treat and see trading like you're just flipping a coin as that is the riskiest thing to do. In trading, there's 2 factors you need to have in-order to have a much lesser risks and that is luck and experience, without having at least one of both mentioned factors, then it's safe to assume that your trade will fail.

In gambling, there's no need for such experience especially if you're playing in a machine at the casino as that is just a pure luck-based game. That's the only determining factor.

and now:

Stephen Espinoza not giving up on Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr bout

Quote
Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza has spoken publicly about the breakdown in negotiations that saw the mooted welterweight unification bout between WBO champion Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford  39-0 (30) and WBC, WBA and IBF boss Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence Jr 28-0 (22) fall apart.

Protracted talks for the all-southpaw battle took place last year but eventually proved fruitless.

Crawford, 35, from Omaha, Nebraska, had split from long-time promoter Top Rank and was negotiating the fight on his own behalf, but Espinoza doesn’t believe his self representation was the reason a deal could not be reached.

“I don’t think it was a lack or presence of a promoter (for Crawford) that caused it to break down the first time… I think it was just different expectations and not being able to get to the same page. And then at a certain point Crawford went in a different direction,” Espinoza told FightHubTV.

Crawford won the WBO welterweight belt from Jeff Horn with a ninth-round knockout in June 2018 after previously holding the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF junior welterweight titles. He is also a former WBO lightweight champion.

Texan Spence, 33, has held the IBF title for six years after stopping Kell Brook in 11 heats in May 2017. Three title defences followed before he unified with WBC champion Shawn Porter in September 2019. In his last bout in April he added the WBA title to his hardware with a 10th round knockout of Yordenis Ugas.

I cannot really blame him if he is still looking forward into it but I don't think it will happen much sooner or anytime at all because what happened before was already enough for me to believe that the unification between Crawford and Spence is just too much to ask as the latter's camp is not really giving-in for that to happen. What makes me furious about the fact is that they waster Crawford's time by giving him hopes that the fight does a have a potential but in reality, they don't have any intention at all.

Crawford being promotion-less has never been a factor why the fight failed, it's just that the opposite camp doesn't want it to happen and then here we have some governing bodies who turn to have a blind eye about the situation.
