Just use -d option like:
cgminer blah blah -d 0 -g 2 -d 1 -g 1 ....
Card 0 will have 2 thread and card 1 will have 1 thread.
Thanks a lot man!! Finally my multicard rig can work with one instance! I am fairly certain that you cannot do it this way. You need to run another instance of cgminer to run different thread settings. Yea you right, I was happy too soon, the crappy card still shows two threads. Oh I see so I still need to run two instances of cgminer but the -d just tells each instance which cards it is controlling. I can still see this being a pain in the arse with bamt though. I might install some other linux distro and get a separate monitor program. -d tells it which card to use. --remove-disabled removes the disabled card from the cgminer display otherwise you will have a card showing 0.000 Mhz and it hinders the performance of the card that is running. *edited for correct meaning of -d

Yes stock bios. I tried flashing it to a Ghz version but it did not like that at all and I had to revert back.

The lame 7970 running at 540= 1050 / 1500, I 13, G 1 (will not run at g2) 8192 tc. Brand is HIS
The two 290x's running at 880= 900 core / 1495 mem, I 20 , G 1, 32765 tc. Brand is XFX on these.
That HIS won't run at 24000 TC, 1050/1750, I 20, g 1? I have trouble running mine stable at g 2 but those settings get about 685 kH/s and run at about 65 C. The problem with my 'lame' HIS card is it is only a normal 7970 (stock clocks are 925/1325) not the Ghz version like the rest of my 7970's.

REALLY? so I could just delete the line that says: "gpu-threads" : "2", and replace it with -d 0 -g 2 -d 1 -g 2 -d 2 -g 2 -d 3 -g 1 ? I have to run two instances of cgminer on one machine due to the lame card I have that does not like G 2. In my case to effectively use the -d (disable flag) you also need to add this to the command line: "--remove-disabled" So an example bat file would look like so: Card one that only likes G 1: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333 -u 14e7qwzHbdLMdGJz7XcAG6oTMNtqTpn3Yv -p x -d 0 -I 13 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-fan 100 --thread-concurrency 8192 -w 256 --gpu-powertune 20 --no-submit-stale --remove-disabled Card two that likes G 2: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333 -u 14e7qwzHbdLMdGJz7XcAG6oTMNtqTpn3Yv -p x -d 1 -I 13 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1070 --gpu-memclock 1700 --gpu-fan 100 -w 256 --gpu-powertune 20 --no-submit-stale --remove-disabled

R290 is rated to max 95c. It’s important to mention the R9 290’s cooling configuration because the card runs quite hot. By default, AMD sets the PowerTune max temperature to 95’C, which is about 15’C hotter than a GeForce GTX Titan. AMD claims running the GPU at that temperature poses no long-term threat, though obviously time will tell.

I got it working, but when I try to overclock, it crashes. Got the cards up to 730khs each, but I think I need more ram in order to OC more. Does that sound right?
Unless you watercool them, 730 could be too much Three of my 7970's are running at 746,788,788 all on air and temps are 68,72 and 74. Mind you I have another 7970 that will not go over 550 no matter what. For what is is worth my two 290x's run at 880 each and temps are in the high 70's on air. 6 cards spread out over 3 systems all in cases. Two with sides off, of those one has a small house fan pointed at it (ambient temp around 73c) the other is in the garage. My 290x's are also in a case with the side on it in my lounge, again ambient temps are around 73c. what settings are you using and clocks i can run 1050/1766 to get 720 out of my 7970s or if i run 1170/1950 i get 830 out of one of my 7970s not the other it cant run that high both mine are under water tho. The two 7970's running at 788= 1130 core / 1745 mem, I 13, G 2, 8192 tc. Brand is XFX on these. The one 7970 running at 746= 1070 core / 1690 mem, I 13, G 2, 8192 tc. Brand is HIS The lame 7970 running at 540= 1050 / 1500, I 13, G 1 (will not run at g2) 8192 tc. Brand is HIS The two 290x's running at 880= 900 core / 1495 mem, I 20 , G 1, 32765 tc. So you are drop shipping.
I assume there will be no warranty as well. 20% off does not sound like a great deal considering that.

That is even more of a mark up than the retailers are raping people for. BTC is over $700 now.

There are so many more beneficial alt coin investments, and people had to sink their money into this one.
Why does Bitrebel have 65+ Ignores? Because Bitrebel says things that some people do not want YOU to hear. Make that 66+ Not for the reason you describe. Keep lying to yourself though.
