another reason?
2 sets of timings and Polaris Bios Editor don't like it )) Only going hex now ))
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: September 30, 2016, 04:42:52 PM
My MSI rx480 4gb

eth 30mhs
sc 450mhs

set -ethi 12

Sure not stable. Or high speed in miner but less shares due to memory errors.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 29, 2016, 07:59:11 PM
Does anyone know if there's any way to mine two different secondary coins; for example, SIACOIN on my RX 480 cards, and LBRY on my 1070?
Use two miner instances with different *.bat files. Use -di option to select needed gpus and -mport 0 option to disable monitoring errors when running 2 miners simultaneously.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU's For Mining? on: September 29, 2016, 07:26:49 PM
Is there a specific brand of RX 480 that is outperforming the rest? I am interested in getting a Sapphire, Gigabyte or MSI though still not sure whether to get 4GB or 8GB.
The best cards for mining are cheap reference ones. Also I like red devils 480 8gb

There is no mining performance difference between the 4GB and the 8 GB. The extra memory is not used.
Total bullshit. How can you give an advice if you even did not know ((
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: September 29, 2016, 11:26:24 AM
New 1080ti will have 384-bit bus and ddr5 (not ddr5x!). New eth killer? 40+mhs I think ))
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire RX 470 Reference - Elpida memory for Eth mining??? on: September 29, 2016, 08:05:05 AM
You can try 1625 or even 1500 strap for 2000 but not set high memory clock in bios! Only in WattTool after system starts.
And check for memory errors in hwinfo64 ... If there will be huge amount then better not to use so hard settings.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: September 28, 2016, 06:39:46 PM
So many more factors to include in this.

You've got PSU efficiency, type of gpu, the way the rom is modded (power draw from the pcie cable or the slot (it makes a difference!)), the risers also pull some power, not every cpu is even efficient, same goes for the memory, etc...

According to WattTool topic starting post on overclock.net the most efficient mode is the default - when a lot of power is going from pci-e slot. Is it right?
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis Mining Presents: sgminer-gm - with Ethereum support! on: September 28, 2016, 04:45:48 PM
Just noticed this miner automatically determines the eth stratum protocol mode of the pool it is connecting to, at least for dwarf vs coinotron mode.  Something I may try to add to Genoil's...

Strange, when I tried it did not want to connect to dwarfpool's 8080 8008 port, only http 80 port was working.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: September 28, 2016, 03:47:18 PM
In fact it's not: it's about trading. You could well buy those coins instead of mining.
Mining is about fun and efficiency.
Yeah! Mining is to mine most profitable for today!
All other is trading/investment
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 28, 2016, 02:47:20 PM
2 bensam

What cards do you use that can mine with high mem speed but crash during dag generation? If it is new rx4x0 then you should know that raising memory to high can provide better hashrate in miner window but less actual shares due to memory errors.
You shouldn't push memory that high.

My pascal rig is using much more cpu than the maxwell one (so it wastes a bit of power).
Probably a driver or cuda issue, maybe linux only.
I have very slow cpus (amd athlon 64 x2) in my rigs and no problem with pascal card in windows.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 28, 2016, 10:05:40 AM
I actually got claymore's miner to work with my A6-7400K mining shift with it and give about 1.9 Mhs memory is DD3 2400.   Cheesy
what is your speed with etherium? ))
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 28, 2016, 10:04:36 AM
If i run in claymore 7.1 my HD 7990 i have only 36 Mhs ... If i run on ethproxy+ethminer i have 50 mhs why this? Thanks
Because claymore reports the hash rate accurately.

I dont think this is the exactly problem ... There are other question i think ... Ethminer show costant 50 mhs and The HD 7990 working fine ... Whit ckaymore this card work many many to hard... And i cant find what is the problem ... And hashrate in solo or dual mode its equal for this GPU near 17+17 ... On ethminer show 50 or 25+25 mhs ...  Huh

Show your .bat file. It seems to me that you are running some eth-fork with ethminer (with low epoch and small DAG) and eth original with claymore (epoch 77 and DAG file close to 2gb)

very interesting, thanks for sharing your elpida rom.
Here is what we have - compare original straps from elpida and hynix sapphire ref rx470.

Straps are completely different, never use bios from internet, modify it by yourself!
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 28, 2016, 07:16:51 AM
Yes, sure : wattmeter measurement.

My config :
 only 1 GPU (GTX 1070)
 2 DDR3 RAM (4 + 2 GO, not "L")
 HDD 3,5" (Windows 10)
CPU "T" (who is mining on 2 cores with a CPU miner)
 1 ventilateur 120 mm
 Power unit : 600 W 80+ bronze
Total consumption : 134/140 W.

It cannot be true, gtx1070 + cpu under load. Check your wattmeter
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: September 27, 2016, 12:41:55 PM
It's a custom job.

So in other words, not really public Smiley

Greetings.

Is it possible to know what have you modify for XFX RX480 GPU ?
I think custom memory straps in bios, not just copy-paste in PolarisBiosEditor.
Then ultra low voltage for gpu and mem controller with reasonable (not very high) gpu/mem frequencies.
But i think for good designed card with memory chips cooling one can reach similar results without so much efforts, just with PolarisBiosEditor and WattTool.

SP-mod4 already released??

_sp, has released version 4?
I think he is working on it right now.
being drunk in Paris? ))

well, really impressive! Do this cards with samsing mem have memory chips cooling?
Or you didn't push it too much on mem freq?
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis Mining Presents: sgminer-gm - with Ethereum support! on: September 26, 2016, 06:12:43 PM
After 8 days, non stop, 11620 hw errors :p (but still running smooth) Wink

This miner runs ok with hawaii and tahiti but I cannot find good params for new rx480 and rx470 ((

Do you get better share rate which are accepted by pools? Is that better than the Claymore or ethminer?
I didn't make thorough tests. It was rather quick and them I returned to Claymore's cause I have some Polaris cards in the rigs.
