1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: August 26, 2021, 08:52:01 PM
I also don't want to sell my bitcoins if the price drops very far, I will continue to hold my bitcoins until the bitcoin price rises higher. I will sell a few bitcoins that I have when I have made a lot of profit, and even then if there is an urgent need. I will hold my bitcoins for my future, I don't want to live hard in my old age and I also want to make my children happy in the future.

According to a video I watched on youtube where a guy reviewing Wall street trading institution's documentation of their tradings, It's mentioned in the documents to hold no matter if the price of a particular stock goes 5x or 50x, Just hold that stock even if it goes -100% still hold it.

The document was quite messy and the message I posted above is the short form of a lot of BS written in it, People will get into FOMO and do various trades but rather than trading the stock institutions will keep the track of data of trades.
1062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 26, 2021, 08:44:56 PM
Well, it's quite tragic for your friend.
Even you can't be blamed for such a mistake because the situation was unaccounted for and the scammer using the Bank account of someone else to pay your friend and your friend sending him payment in BTC sucked.

I haven't used Binance P2P till now but on LocalBitcoins there's a trust system just like Bitcointalk has which indicates the trustworthiness of a trader who made their offer.

It's better to opt for trusted people rather than random strangers, the type of scam that was pulled off on your friend is quite normal in local places.
1063  Economy / Services / Re: I would like to make a sports betting bot for stake.com is it possible ? on: August 26, 2021, 07:47:28 PM
Recently I found that stake doesn't use a robust Bookmaker while placing their user's bets, they use a third party Bookmaker and share your IP details (Most likely) because I recently found a user's Bets were Void because the owner of Stake was informed by the Bookmaker that the User has placed another bet on the alternative website but similar bookmaker.

So if you're trying to create make a betting bot to select the best odds for you then watch out if there are bets that you place on multiple websites of the same bookmaker, They know your IP address and will track [Your - Bets, IP, Number of Bets] you placed on the websites to always profit by using arbitrage method, And if the gambling website is losing then they will freeze your account.
This is what I've learned from the experience of other gamblers.

After reading most of the replies and the post of Mod on the link shared by Charles-Tim I think it's best if Topics are locked by Global Mods whose OP is not active on the thread.

Can the forum provide an option to the OP of posting the last post before the Post will be locked? For example OP getting the PM by Forum saying something like "Your Post [PostName] will be locked in 24 hours so write if you've anything to say"
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 25, 2021, 11:41:10 PM
This isn't an easy thing, because we won't be able to play on a dice with a specific number for few consecutive rolls. There is difference between a dice roll and lottery, however both requires patience. In such a means I'm quite surprised by his patience to play on a single number and his patience have rewarded him. He's not the one to have such patience, there might be more and more following the same principle. Now he have come to light through his winning.

Even if it's a lottery and comparing the lottery with dice isn't balancing in this case.
The lottery can have more than a million combinations of numbers and million lotteries but sticking to 1 number for 10+ years and hitting that number is crazy, you've to believe in the number first that it will hit someday otherwise you'll run out of your life trying to hit a lottery by choosing the same number but not hitting it.
1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 25, 2021, 11:30:28 PM
It's good that you're accepting but what have you thought about tackling the problem of waiting for 1 confirmation before delivering the products from your clothing industry to the customer.

There's a good possibility of someone buying a good chunk of stuff from you and pay you in the moment then revert the transaction (double-spend), Where he gets to keep the stuff and money.

Do you make them wait for 1 confirmation?
I've seen after some blocks are confirmed next blocks take 40+ minutes for the confirmation.

1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 25, 2021, 11:25:00 PM

Dont know on where you do came from or totally you arent a gambler after all. Its been a long time that there are bookies offering these esports and make out bets of them.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/betsy
Gg.bet
Loot.bet
etc..

You could see lots of choices if you wanted to. Its just a matter of some effort on making some simple search.

if i may add, stake.com also has esports in their list : dota2, LoL, counterstrike

I wouldn't recommend stake, they use 3rd party bookmakers to place your bets recently there were some users had their bet void because they placed the bet in the same game on another website that used the same Bookmaker.

Anyway, I enjoyed watching last LCS and think about placing some bets in LoL.

But I created Thread to know if the Esport betting with Crypto started with LoL, CoD or there were online bettings going on before bitcoin came.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for newbies loss in bitcoin on: August 25, 2021, 11:12:52 PM
newbies are people who enter the crypto market because they follow other people and without knowledge and experience
they buy when the bulls and sell when the bears, that's really funny

newbies can profit if they are more positive and calm minded when buying bitcoin or other crypto assets
the only keyword is don't sell when the market panics

Mostly these 3 things happen -

1. They invest in a Ponzi and their company runs away with their money.
2. They use some free wallet and again the company run away with their money.
3. They install some trojan through a program they're unaware of and the hacker steals their bitcoins.

There could be many possibilities but I thought it's better to post easy-to-understand ones.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: August 25, 2021, 10:43:59 PM
What I think is - If a minority of people does that then there's won't be much of a problem for banks to interfere but when that majority of people starts to switch to crypto from Banks then it will create many problems related to taxing, Remember Tax is very important for a country to run even if you don't like paying it.

And if a majority of people start to evade that then government will interfere and will realize how hard it is to keep track of crypto payments, Taxing it would be very hard and someone can easily evade taxes. Then government might consider banning bitcoin and Hurrrayyy for Banks.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 25, 2021, 10:31:11 PM
Poker, Dice betting, and Casino games are in the gambling market for a long time but when do you think Esport betting such as  League of Legends and Dota became popular.

League of legends especially..., was released in 2009 the same year bitcoin was released in both are different but have progressed a lot finance-wise.

Do you think Esports betting has a good scope in the future where most of the teens are getting into games like LoL and world of warcraft, Dota, etc?
Even if they don't hear this in ads they will most likely hear it from their in-game teammates.

Recently I visited a post I made in gambling discussion with the title "Gambling exposed to Children"

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351790.0

And the thought of replying to a post then realized it has been locked, I didn't remember locking down the thread so I tried unlocking it and it didn't work but gave me a message.

"This was locked by an administrator. You cannot unlock it."

Can it be unlocked or not?
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 25, 2021, 09:45:36 PM
Damn, I don't know how he selected that number but selecting a number and sticking to it forever is good like he did rather than changing the number after a few times of not hitting the lottery.
Imagine if he changed the number then how disappointing it would have been for him.
Keeping that aside I hope he got some good use for the money otherwise he'll just end up gambling them away.

Have any of you heard the recent fuss about Pfizer vaccines, An insider whistleblower doctor said there's a good chance patients might in 2-3 years due to blood clotting if they've taken 2 dosages of it.

I'm not sure what to say about it but I was against the Vaccines the very start and didn't believe in it.
I don't go out that often and haven't faced any symptoms of Covid since its rise are there any other like this?
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: August 24, 2021, 10:37:33 PM
What's going with gas fees? After the London fork, the gas fees only went up. They raised gas limit, and the blocks are half empty, even 5% - 15% filled, but gas fees are through the roof! It's not about limited capacity right now, yet it's very expensive. What is reason for that?

And what is minimum gasused multiplier?

Well yes I had the same question before I discovered by ETH wallet had around 0.17 ETH in it and in the Past, I didn't send them because the fee was extremely high, more than 50% of what value ETH address had so I left it alone.

2 months ago when I found out ETH has been forked and ETH fees have been lowered I tried to send them to an exchange and it worked, I paid around 0.006 ETH fee rather than paying around 0.09 ETH.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: August 24, 2021, 10:34:12 PM
all crypto assets are at risk. even if there are new crypto assets that have entered coinmarketcap. you can see new tokens like SHIB suddenly on the market above the market cap. it is not without risk because all crypto assets can easily fall and make the value of our investment experience a very large decline. first, study the market and the potential assets in the market before starting to invest.

I couldn't agree more, Well crypto is to be treated as an investment now and when bitcoin was created in 2009. You are trading on the future value of bitcoin as crypto at the time and you're investing because you believe in the technology it's going to bring otherwise you're just gambling with crypto with a label of trading.
1077  Economy / Services / Re: 1xbit.com honest review campaign (open) on: August 24, 2021, 06:34:13 AM
My review -

Betting & Odds: Placed some bets in the past on the website as I said in my previous review on sportsbook and no problem there but placing bets in 1xgames and not being able to verify the validity of bets sucked a lot for me, could you implement the system to verify the bets on 1xgames, mostly the dice, I am positive you'll get more gamblers who like to verify their bets.

Deposit & Withdrawals: I've placed multiple withdrawals in past and didn't have any issues with regards to it but I would highly recommend being cautious on any gambling website prior placed a huge deposit.

Side notes: As I said in my previous reviews, you really need a good UI, work on that.

1079  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com completely unfair MLB live bet void on: August 20, 2021, 12:35:44 AM
Hi Jason,

And you picked up this bet on both Stake and sportsbetio and maybe other places using the same odds provider.

So you mean Stake is not a robust Bookmaker and use 3rd party to place bets and users cannot bet on another website that uses the same Bookmaker or there's a chance of the bet getting void?

I don't have anything against Stake but this is insane in my opinion in the first place and secondly, how would a user know on which websites they cannot place the same bets on?
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: August 19, 2021, 09:42:41 PM
Please Give me 1 btc bc1qskp2hhaflujt4teqmnnzazjwllr04sg95vxw00 I am not a fraud, but I cannot even earn that much money in my entire life, because I am an idiot and mentally retarded.

I'll consider making this donation, maybe...

There are many schemes like this on the web; even on youtube, there are fake events from influential entrepreneurs promising that they will give double the amount of BTC sent to them. These newbies should know that these billionaires have no time for this kind of event, and they don't give things for free. Also, it would be better if youtube regulate this. Schemes like this are very obvious; it should never go on people's suggestion space.

Youtube, lol it's the best way for promoters to promote scams are yet to come and youtube doesn't have a policy that prevents future scams from being happening and websites like Bitconnect are using people to promote their Ponzi schemes and people in my local town promoted a Ponzi scheme to me and I laughed internally without uttering a word and never met that person again, It's more like Subconscious pushing me to get into it that pisses me off.
