1041  Economy / Services / Re: 1xbit.com honest review campaign (open) on: August 30, 2021, 09:41:29 PM
Review -

Betting - I have played dice and sports bet on the website like a month ago and didn't have any problems in the sportsbook or Dice game but not being able to verify bets just like in Provably fair games like other websites offer sucked for me so it's much better if you can initiate a verification system for the bets placed in casino & 1xgames.

Support - Didn't have any issues since last month while using the website so can't say much about it.

Deposit and Withdrawal - I have placed withdrawals over 0.02 BTC infractions and didn't have any problem with approval of withdrawals and the deposits I did on the website are around 0.01 BTC.
However, I would definitely be cautious depositing a large sum of money on a gambling website that they don't trust.

1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 28, 2021, 01:03:44 PM
Bitcoin has been service in long time.Bitcoin already proved that Bitcoin is trusted than any others crypto. Bitcoin is most valuable crypto in market and most valuable coin.Bitcoin has been developing for long time.Bitcoin is decentralised crypto than others. I think bitcoin will be more increase in future and it will be most trusted.

The important factor is that bitcoin is truly  100% decentralized and this makes it the best crypto currency on which everyone can trust. All other altcoins are centralized in the nature that the owner of those coins hold a large amount of tokens but this is not the case with bitcoins.

It's true Bitcoin is decentralized but that can't be said for every future coin, There's a possibility government starts using cryptocurrency and releases a fixed supply of new crypto.
And people of that particular country or state are supposed to use that. Then it will be easy for the government to trace the registered owners of a wallet that send that particular crypto to an illegal address.

I also think the government is probably going to promote a cashless society anyways because we're moving towards a 1 world government and it will be easy for them to trace the transactions.

I also don't want to sell my bitcoins if the price drops very far, I will continue to hold my bitcoins until the bitcoin price rises higher. I will sell a few bitcoins that I have when I have made a lot of profit, and even then if there is an urgent need. I will hold my bitcoins for my future, I don't want to live hard in my old age and I also want to make my children happy in the future.
yes you are right, you have the same opinion as me, actually when we decided to buy BTC we wanted to keep it for a long time and this is also my savings, like you, i will buy BTC and leave it somewhere not for sale at the moment. until I'm old enough to retire or be able to leave it to our children.

You need food to survive for how long do you think you'll last without food because you decide bitcoins for them.

Imagine not eating for a month, I'm sure you'll start weakening your body and mind, and what's the point of Bitcoins stored in a wallet?
There's another possibility you ending up losing your memory because of weakness and losing all your bitcoins.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 26, 2021, 09:53:27 PM
https://www.newsbtc.com/news/bitcoin/man-loses-900000-worth-of-bitcoin/

I think if he offers an NSA grade data recovery outfit a couple of btc, that they'd recover it for him.
But then how can you trust that they won't say they couldn't do it went they actually did.

Ye, that's an obvious giveaway.
If he makes up his mind to use a recovery service then he should know that there's always a possibility of no recovery disregarding Recovery service lying.

Also, it's not like the service holders are going to know instantly that this is a bitcoin wallet private key unless they use the wallet or have 3rd party information gathering on the data they recover.
Or he can directly tell the service providers what's in it and they'll get some percent of it after a successful recovery.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Best Gambling advice on: August 26, 2021, 09:04:39 PM
We need mentor to become a Gambler?

Gamble as much as you can afford to lose that is the best ever advice for anyone who wants to gamble.

That's what I thought  Grin

I think I can understand some of what he's trying to say, He's saying it's better if there's someone to warn you about the gambling if it's taken into serious consideration of gambling outside of the fun zone.
When gambling becomes a source of making money then there's the problem, That's the trap where many fall into.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google bans 8 crypto apps on: August 26, 2021, 09:03:44 PM
Well, this is one of the many reasons why I don't prefer Android Device because mostly it's filled up with trash Apps in the AppStore such as these.

iOS checks apps before allowing them to be in the app store and they're already against such apps, however, users can still install these trash apps in dev mode but a normal user wouldn't bother doing that and some tech-savvy might do it just to analyze what data trade occurs between the app and device.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 26, 2021, 08:58:16 PM
Would you be able to do it? Playing the same numbers over and over again like this? Because I know that I will not have the patience to do this during 30 years.

winning 18 m for 30 year waiting and repeating the same thing. he must really believe in that number. for me I don't really like lottery and maybe I won't be able to be consistent like him. and for his dedication to waiting 30 years to get it all he deserves that prize.

Exactly, I posted the above response to the OP in the same manner.

I can't understand why he only chose that number and became lucky by continuously betting on that same number, even if there are 1 million total lottery tickets then his probability of winning on the same number he has chosen would be less than 0.1%, but he still won it. It's quite impressive.

According to a video I watched on youtube where a guy reviewing Wall street trading institution's documentation of their tradings, It's mentioned in the documents to hold no matter if the price of a particular stock goes 5x or 50x, Just hold that stock even if it goes -100% still hold it.

The document was quite messy and the message I posted above is the short form of a lot of BS written in it, People will get into FOMO and do various trades but rather than trading the stock institutions will keep the track of data of trades.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 26, 2021, 08:44:56 PM
Well, it's quite tragic for your friend.
Even you can't be blamed for such a mistake because the situation was unaccounted for and the scammer using the Bank account of someone else to pay your friend and your friend sending him payment in BTC sucked.

I haven't used Binance P2P till now but on LocalBitcoins there's a trust system just like Bitcointalk has which indicates the trustworthiness of a trader who made their offer.

It's better to opt for trusted people rather than random strangers, the type of scam that was pulled off on your friend is quite normal in local places.
1050  Economy / Services / Re: I would like to make a sports betting bot for stake.com is it possible ? on: August 26, 2021, 07:47:28 PM
Recently I found that stake doesn't use a robust Bookmaker while placing their user's bets, they use a third party Bookmaker and share your IP details (Most likely) because I recently found a user's Bets were Void because the owner of Stake was informed by the Bookmaker that the User has placed another bet on the alternative website but similar bookmaker.

So if you're trying to create make a betting bot to select the best odds for you then watch out if there are bets that you place on multiple websites of the same bookmaker, They know your IP address and will track [Your - Bets, IP, Number of Bets] you placed on the websites to always profit by using arbitrage method, And if the gambling website is losing then they will freeze your account.
This is what I've learned from the experience of other gamblers.

After reading most of the replies and the post of Mod on the link shared by Charles-Tim I think it's best if Topics are locked by Global Mods whose OP is not active on the thread.

Can the forum provide an option to the OP of posting the last post before the Post will be locked? For example OP getting the PM by Forum saying something like "Your Post [PostName] will be locked in 24 hours so write if you've anything to say"
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 25, 2021, 11:41:10 PM
This isn't an easy thing, because we won't be able to play on a dice with a specific number for few consecutive rolls. There is difference between a dice roll and lottery, however both requires patience. In such a means I'm quite surprised by his patience to play on a single number and his patience have rewarded him. He's not the one to have such patience, there might be more and more following the same principle. Now he have come to light through his winning.

Even if it's a lottery and comparing the lottery with dice isn't balancing in this case.
The lottery can have more than a million combinations of numbers and million lotteries but sticking to 1 number for 10+ years and hitting that number is crazy, you've to believe in the number first that it will hit someday otherwise you'll run out of your life trying to hit a lottery by choosing the same number but not hitting it.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 25, 2021, 11:30:28 PM
It's good that you're accepting but what have you thought about tackling the problem of waiting for 1 confirmation before delivering the products from your clothing industry to the customer.

There's a good possibility of someone buying a good chunk of stuff from you and pay you in the moment then revert the transaction (double-spend), Where he gets to keep the stuff and money.

Do you make them wait for 1 confirmation?
I've seen after some blocks are confirmed next blocks take 40+ minutes for the confirmation.

1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 25, 2021, 11:25:00 PM

Dont know on where you do came from or totally you arent a gambler after all. Its been a long time that there are bookies offering these esports and make out bets of them.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/betsy
Gg.bet
Loot.bet
etc..

You could see lots of choices if you wanted to. Its just a matter of some effort on making some simple search.

if i may add, stake.com also has esports in their list : dota2, LoL, counterstrike

I wouldn't recommend stake, they use 3rd party bookmakers to place your bets recently there were some users had their bet void because they placed the bet in the same game on another website that used the same Bookmaker.

Anyway, I enjoyed watching last LCS and think about placing some bets in LoL.

But I created Thread to know if the Esport betting with Crypto started with LoL, CoD or there were online bettings going on before bitcoin came.
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for newbies loss in bitcoin on: August 25, 2021, 11:12:52 PM
newbies are people who enter the crypto market because they follow other people and without knowledge and experience
they buy when the bulls and sell when the bears, that's really funny

newbies can profit if they are more positive and calm minded when buying bitcoin or other crypto assets
the only keyword is don't sell when the market panics

Mostly these 3 things happen -

1. They invest in a Ponzi and their company runs away with their money.
2. They use some free wallet and again the company run away with their money.
3. They install some trojan through a program they're unaware of and the hacker steals their bitcoins.

There could be many possibilities but I thought it's better to post easy-to-understand ones.
1056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: August 25, 2021, 10:43:59 PM
What I think is - If a minority of people does that then there's won't be much of a problem for banks to interfere but when that majority of people starts to switch to crypto from Banks then it will create many problems related to taxing, Remember Tax is very important for a country to run even if you don't like paying it.

And if a majority of people start to evade that then government will interfere and will realize how hard it is to keep track of crypto payments, Taxing it would be very hard and someone can easily evade taxes. Then government might consider banning bitcoin and Hurrrayyy for Banks.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 25, 2021, 10:31:11 PM
Poker, Dice betting, and Casino games are in the gambling market for a long time but when do you think Esport betting such as  League of Legends and Dota became popular.

League of legends especially..., was released in 2009 the same year bitcoin was released in both are different but have progressed a lot finance-wise.

Do you think Esports betting has a good scope in the future where most of the teens are getting into games like LoL and world of warcraft, Dota, etc?
Even if they don't hear this in ads they will most likely hear it from their in-game teammates.

Recently I visited a post I made in gambling discussion with the title "Gambling exposed to Children"

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351790.0

And the thought of replying to a post then realized it has been locked, I didn't remember locking down the thread so I tried unlocking it and it didn't work but gave me a message.

"This was locked by an administrator. You cannot unlock it."

Can it be unlocked or not?
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 25, 2021, 09:45:36 PM
Damn, I don't know how he selected that number but selecting a number and sticking to it forever is good like he did rather than changing the number after a few times of not hitting the lottery.
Imagine if he changed the number then how disappointing it would have been for him.
Keeping that aside I hope he got some good use for the money otherwise he'll just end up gambling them away.
