161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 13, 2023, 09:31:27 AM
It's true that not having money to invest in Bitcoin can be a blessing in disguise. Instead of focusing solely on making money, people can take the time to learn about Bitcoin and the underlying technology, which can be very valuable in the long run. Furthermore, with a deeper understanding of technology, people can make more informed decisions about investing in the future. Therefore, instead of being discouraged by not having enough money to invest in Bitcoin, people can take advantage of this time to deepen their understanding of the technology and the market.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 12, 2023, 08:04:41 AM
I have a close friend who recently purchased 0.8 Bitcoins and when we met he was happy and was like " I am now a Bitcoin investor"
At that point I go this question in mind ;what does it really take to become a Bitcoin investor .does it mean that if you own a considerable amount of Bitcoin in your wallet you are now a Bitcoin investor or there is more to it aside having a basic knowledge of crypto currencies

To become a Bitcoin investor generally means that you have purchased Bitcoin to hold it as a long-term investment. This is different from buying Bitcoin to use it for transactions or as a means of payment. So, owning a certain amount of Bitcoin doesn't automatically make someone an investor. Instead, the intention and knowledge behind the purchase define it as an investment.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 12, 2023, 07:45:38 AM
Most persons purchase  most items using Bitcoin transactions I am of the opinion of hodling instead of spending pls is that a positive mindset?

No right or wrong answer regarding whether one should hold or spend their Bitcoin. It ultimately depends on one's personal financial goals and beliefs. So it is up to the individual to decide whether having or spending Bitcoin aligns better with their financial goals and ideas.
164  Other / Meta / Re: History of Bitcointalk - Making a Documentary Piece - Need your help OGs on: April 12, 2023, 07:22:19 AM
Great to hear that you are working on an educational video series about the crypto world.
As for the answer to your question, BitcoinTalk.org is a forum created by the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, in 2009.
Although the forum's domain name was registered in 2011, the meeting may have been hosted on a different domain before that time.
Satoshi's posts were made on the BitcoinTalk forum, but his true identity is unknown.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: April 11, 2023, 01:17:22 PM
As 2023 is going to be a tremendous year, and the elite are working towards the new world order whereby new digital currency will be introduced. If btc happens not to be part of that agenda, so will investing into btc against 2024 a wise decision?

It's difficult to predict precisely what will happen in the future with Bitcoin or any other investment, as many factors can impact market trends and fluctuations. Therefore, any investment decision should be based on a thorough analysis of the risks and potential rewards and consider your financial goals and risk tolerance.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Under capitalism eventually 1% own 99% of BTC, 1% have 99% of power? on: April 11, 2023, 01:11:42 PM
I think I understand that the BTC blockchain can't be corrupted, because it would be too difficult to do.  But can't the 99% be exploited the 1% that own 99% of BTC?  BTC is a transfer of wealth to a different system.  Won't the 1% be able to exploit the 99%?  Capitalism centralizes wealth

Tks!

A small percentage of individuals indeed hold a large portion of the total Bitcoin supply, and this concentration of wealth could potentially lead to power imbalances and exploitation.
However, it's important to note that Bitcoin operates on a decentralized system, meaning that any central authority or group of individuals does not control it.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool full? Long transaction times + fees x10! on: April 11, 2023, 01:06:20 PM
Something is brewing in the Bitcoin world? For the last 2-3 days I can I witness slow transactions and huge fees. I got used to 1sat/byte transactions and they always get through so I sent a couple of sats to myself but you can't imagine how surprised I was when I saw my tx is ~75mb from tip! My wallet suggested a fee of 10sat/bytes! So, what's going on? Is this connected with that ordinals mumbo-jumbo?  Huh

Yes, there has been a recent spike in transaction fees and slower processing times on the Bitcoin network. This is due to a combination of factors, including increased demand for Bitcoin transactions, changes in the mining difficulty and hash rate of the web, and other market and economic factors. It's always a good idea to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the Bitcoin world and to be prepared for potential changes and fluctuations in the network.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of holding Bitcoin in time of crisis on: April 11, 2023, 01:02:04 PM
The global economy faces various challenges, including inflation and financial crises in some regions. In situations where traditional financial institutions are not accessible or trustworthy, Bitcoin can be a viable alternative for storing value and conducting transactions. Bitcoin can be a valuable tool for individuals looking to keep weight and execute trades in a decentralized and secure way, particularly in situations where traditional financial institutions are not accessible or reliable.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Ranked Second As Bitcoin Miners on: April 11, 2023, 10:39:13 AM
Russia has become a significant player in the Bitcoin mining industry, with a reported 1 gigawatt of mining power in the first quarter of 2023. This is a testament to the country's ability to adapt and innovate in changing circumstances. However, while Russia's emergence as a significant Bitcoin mining player is notable, it's essential to consider the industry's broader context and potential challenges.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 11, 2023, 10:35:28 AM
There are several other reasons why Bitcoin can be a good investment and a sound financial choice. i.e., Decentralization, Transparency, Security, Limited supply (As there will only ever be 21 million Bitcoins in existence, which means that it is a scarce asset), and Low transaction fees. Overall, these are just a few of the reasons why Bitcoin can be an excellent financial choice.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 09, 2023, 10:32:41 AM
So I want to hear your opinion: how to make bitcoin technology "safer" so we could fight a crime committed with crypto and help with bitcoin adoption without taking away the main features of bitcoin like decentralization and anonymity?

The issue of illegal use of Bitcoin is indeed a challenge that the cryptocurrency community faces, and it's essential to address it to ensure wider adoption and legitimacy of Bitcoin. One possible solution to this problem is using blockchain analytics tools that can help track illicit transactions and identify the individuals involved. The second possible solution could be developing decentralized exchanges with robust KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures in place. But his should be taken seriously.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE RATES AT WHICH BITCOIN ATMs MOVES IS MIND BLOWING on: April 09, 2023, 10:19:36 AM
I like those machines since they get people interested in Bitcoin in the first place. My plan is to also set up a machine like this in the future to spread more awareness about bitcoin. What I also think however that it will usually not pay off to have this machine since people will only do small purchases. It is not good for large investments due to high fees.
What is a good machine that can be recommended?

Yes, you are correct. Bitcoin ATMs have been growing incredibly, more than doubling in 2021. Currently, there are many Bitcoin ATMs globally. In addition, the availability of digital coins has increased due to the spread of crypto teller services across many countries. However, it is essential to note that Bitcoin ATMs often charge high fees, and users should exercise caution and ensure that they understand the costs before using them.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is a custodial wallet to a hardware wallet on: April 09, 2023, 10:10:56 AM
I recently purchased some Bitcoins butAccording to most posts and replies on this forum it seem the best way to hodl Bitcoin is to use a hardware wallet as long as you can keep it safe.
Well is the hard ware wallet better than a custodial wallet??

The decision to use a hardware or custodial wallet depends on your preferences and investment goals. For example, a hardware wallet is generally considered the most secure option if you plan to hold a large amount of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies for the long term. However, a custodial wallet may be more suitable if you plan to trade frequently or need easy access to your funds.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am now a Bitcoin investor on: April 08, 2023, 11:12:55 AM
I recently purchased 0.0045 Bitcoins which is still present in my trust wallet I believe with me owning a fraction of the worlds Bitcoin although a very tiny fraction in practical I am now a crypto currency investor  in essence a Bitcoin investor

Yes, owning 0.0045 Bitcoins means owning a small fraction of the total number of Bitcoins in circulation. As a Bitcoin investor, you can earn a profit if the value of Bitcoin increases over time. However, it's important to remember that cryptocurrency markets can be highly volatile, and the importance of Bitcoin can fluctuate rapidly. Therefore, it's always a good idea to research and seek advice from financial professionals before making investment decisions.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin remains value haters on: April 08, 2023, 11:05:51 AM
According Samson Mow; Some people hate Bitcoin with an intensity that doesn’t make sense. You need to ask yourself why, and what exactly Bitcoin threatens for them to behave in this manner.

I think some people needs to understand that bitcoin is no man's business concerns. After all nobody is using another man's money to invest. Bitcoin could be greater with time, let's leave the hates about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that operates without the control of any central authority or financial institution. The concept of decentralization is one of the core principles of Bitcoin, and it offers various advantages, such as faster transactions, lower fees, and increased security. However, there are still people who are skeptical or even hostile toward Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This may be because of the lack of understanding about the technology and its potential applications or due to concerns about the security and volatility of cryptocurrencies.
176  Economy / Services / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 | Review Campaign 🔎| Participate Now! | Get paid in BTC on: April 04, 2023, 05:47:07 PM
I visited the Utopia website, and I can see it's a good one. The details are primarily precise. I'm impressed with the Trailer of Crypto Cat on the website in the Watch tab; There are more videos in that section. Sadly, I can't watch each of them right now, but I'll watch them in the future.

Now coming to the main stuff, I'm using the Windows Desktop version.

1: After logging in, it shows me the dashboard, and I can see it's clean and easy to understand took me like 2 minutes to understand that section at first glance.

2: The app consumes a lot of internet data, and it can be hard to keep up with the app if someone's on a limited internet package. For me, it never goes below 500kb/s speed unless
I set a rule in Netlimiter.

3: I like the games that Utopia has on the app [Chess and Poker]; however, it's easy for someone to cheat the chess game by simulating the same moves against the computer on
another pc or on the same.
 - It created a poker table pretty quickly after I gave the inputs to the Utopia Poker game (Thumbs up!) However, it's hard to find games that are live because of a lack of users (This
   might change in the future)

4: I received the CRP tokens but can't find a good use for that other than Chess or Poker, so I'm donating 1-CRP token.
   - UTP-JBEW-K4YN-SMPV-UOX6-LCQA (Good luck to whoever uses this voucher first)

With this, I conclude my review. Thank you again, Utopia team, for allowing me to review the software Smiley

Every element of the website (including the social media viewing) requires you to connect your wallet. Additionally, the topic is locked for discussion though the creator (newbie) is posting to bump the thread. This is extremely suspicious.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Thank you for sharing this piece of valuable information with us.
Your concerns are significant, as they can be a possible scam threat.
I would suggest everyone stay vigilant until more details about why the discussion is locked and why wallet connects are required for every aspect of the website.
179  Economy / Gambling / Re: CSGOPolygon.com⭐BTC and CSGO gambling site⭐Best reff system⭐Promo code: ADMIN on: April 04, 2023, 07:53:25 AM
CSGOPolygon.com is a well-reputed platform, but I can't see much activity here on this thread.
I don't understand why it isn't trending much here compared to other platforms.

I think OP must be more proactive to increase the reach of many other users.
