821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2021, 08:44:12 PM
Hold is a common strategy when investing, as long as there is hope for profit, hold is better than sell, although we are free to sell but most will regret seeing the price skyrocket after selling, and this is the best strategy than daily trading.

2% profit strategy is also good 3 times a week where profits are compounded so you aren't forced to make profit daily.

Holding is good if you're interested in the cryptocurrency more than its fiat value and aren't worried about it being changed.
You said Hodl is better than selling: I disagree with this, sometimes selling is necessary.
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: November 17, 2021, 08:38:06 PM
It will be really good to have a movie that is focused on bitcoin. And if it will A list actors on it with good directors and a good story, then it’s going to go a long way in promoting in bitcoin. They can just write a story on bitcoin, maybe something that has to do with action, like people going to retrieve bitcoin keys that is lost or something like that. Just like this old movie that’s called Tomb Raider that features Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, and another movie is Money Heist that is featured on Netflix .

All those movies are really interesting. So imagine a movie like that is focused on bitcoin, and then it eventually blows up and selling in high numbers, that’s going to push bitcoin to a really high level.

There already has been a movie made on cryptocurrency.
Where a guy works in a big firm and gets to know about cryptocurrencies by a shopkeeper who started using bitcoin told the guy "it's the future"
Where this guy worked in a huge firm and his father was a farmer.

In any case, i wasn't able to watch the full film because it started well then became boring so I stopped watching I don't even remember the name of this film..
823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Recent Drop Below $60K Is Not Worrisome, Analyst Says on: November 17, 2021, 08:05:48 PM
I have been saying it since a long time, Even if bitcoin drops below 10k usd it will recover back in a year easily but looking at the market now it's rare if bitcoin drop below 30k.

Bitcoin's popularity is only going to rise and children in schools, universities will know about it and will be curious to pay in bitcoin thus raising the bitcoin's users and market cap, thus higher price.
824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: November 16, 2021, 09:57:04 PM
40% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1000 individuals.

This gives them a disproportionate amount of control over the market as they are able to dump them at anytime.

This is not to mention the high proportion of bitcoins held by miners and exchanges, who may have perverse incentives to ensure that as many people buy up bitcoin as possible and hold it for long enough for the price to rise.

Is there any way to deal with the high degree of centralisation that Bitcoin has?

It gives them the advantage for sure, but without manipulating the mainstream media they will not be able to do much, People will start to notice their pattern because most of the people do the same thing again and this world lack intuitive people so they will need people to do mass manipulation into market, Pump and dump schemes , FOMOs , etc.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: November 16, 2021, 09:52:30 PM
Whats more to do, just hold what is available with you. The growth chart clearly shows how the market price have moved gradually and has profited the users who kept hold of it without falling for negative news and FUD, FOMO, etc. The market need to be trusted, and if you're with good learning then you could give a try on regular trading practice. This will help you increase the cryptocurrency portfolio. This is what I did earlier when I had good sum of cryptocurrencies investment.

When you see negatives about bitcoin or FUD regarding it in News, Paper or any other sort of media then remember that someone's trying to make the majority sell their crypto currencies which will reduce the price so they can buy them at a cheaper price.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: November 16, 2021, 09:48:15 PM
I've never paid anything using bitcoin, and I don't really want to exchange and buy anything using bitcoin, even I find it difficult to make payments in my country using crypto, because the government still prohibits buying goods using crypto.

There are some countries that still placed bans on cryptocurrencies, China dominates that territory at the moment.
Even in Bangladesh, a guy told a story of their friend where they got ripped in a P2P scam by sending them money from the bank of someone else's.
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 16, 2021, 09:42:38 PM
It seems to me that it would be safer (and more convenient) to keep your crypto on an exchange (coinbase, blockfi etc) than cold wallet. Wouldn't the odds be greater that you mess up your cold storage than a large exchange being hacked or whatever (even if they are hacked, that wouldn't necessarily mean you would lose any coins, whereas if you are hacked that's a different story). I ordered a ledger nano X but it seems that the exchanges are still the way to go based on probabilities. What are your thoughts?

I'd say if you're planning to keep the bitcoins for the long term then store them into cold storage private key rather than coinbase.

In past coinbase blocked me from accessing my account because i used my coinbase wallet to deposit into a gambling website so you can't be certain what might happen.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: November 15, 2021, 09:18:14 PM
economically bitcoin helps improve the economic condition of my family, and scientifically, bitcoin tells me about various powerful financial technologies that I don't know yet. Thanks to Bitcoin

it's just that, sometimes some people don't want to accept bitcoin because of its high price volatility,
Volatility is indeed a consideration for all people who carry out economic activity, both sellers and buyers and even intermediaries also consider this.
when you have a currency with high volatility, then you will be exposed to the risk of fluctuations in assets beyond our control
no one likes when the assets held suddenly depreciate, this is very annoying

Indeed Bitcoin is going to be volatile until and unless the majority of traders are whales where a few doesn't control the cap of the market and psychology of the bitcoin and other cryptos.
829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 15, 2021, 08:42:35 PM
Apple CEO Tim Cook have invested on cryptocurrency. He has disclosed it in a recorded interview. He mentioned it as part of his diversified portfolio. His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency. This is a big news, and were into discussion around the social media platforms. Majority of the huge company CEO's own crypto. This is a big thing and an indication of growth of cryptocurrency network.

Source : The Verge

This is going to get more and more interesting when other industries make their move into crypto and the users of their tech follow them.
All it takes is a reputable person to get into something and others below him to follow him.

I was going to post some proofs that we're definitely being controlled by ETs but I'm too lazy to even care anymore to explain to people.

In short, this whole reality is Vibrations... Your Body is material that is made of Atoms but your SOUL isn't

You gotta think of it as an ocean where one drop would like to be different.

ET's is for when it becomes self evident.

Did you know Americans tried to Bomb the MOON but it the missile didn't reach moon and was deactivated by some unknown entity.

If you want to know the secrets of the universe then go inside and free your soul. Move inside your body before you can in the universe.
Also, the speed of light isn't the fastest speed.
If UFOs are real then they travel faster than the speed of light to warp into different galaxies in a moment..
The USA tried and tries the hide the existence of UFOs because there are different types of aliens.
Don't you think Aliens also like to play games out of boredom, what's better than toying with humans?

Also, search for "1$ Note with alien" you'll see what picture i'm painting.

832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice regarding buying on: November 11, 2021, 08:44:41 PM
I'm waiting for bitcoin to go somewhere around 48-50k USD.
After that happens I will buy a chunk of bitcoins when it's around that price range, For me, it's quite high at the moment.
I happen to sell bitcoins back when it was around 45k USD, was in need of money and now i think i shouldn't have had sold all.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will bring the chaos what the world need. on: November 11, 2021, 08:42:49 PM
Really?

I don't think so. The energy issue will be solved in the future and bitcoin is not the only crypto currency in the market.
There are PoS (Proof of work) crypto currencies that solve this problem of yours.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 11, 2021, 08:28:36 PM
I prefer Ledger wallet.

It's also much better to have cold storage wallet that hasn't been linked to the internet and print the private key of that wallet || address.
into a paper and storing that paper somewhere safe where no one will access it except you.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Insight into German's loosened restrictions (hopefully) on: November 11, 2021, 08:24:18 PM
No doubt it's in favor of gambling companies in Germany.
But it doesn't prevent the victims especially the underaged that get into gambling and losing their earnings in a casino that charges a 10% house edge.
I'm not against them but what I've seen is people start gambling for fun and start to think of it as their earning source, especially under the 20s.
836  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion in our society on: November 11, 2021, 08:03:50 PM
I live in a Christian Country where people believe in God, goes to church ang always pray but crime rate is still high. Why? I think because of the extensive poverty that some people resort to robbery and killings plus  the alcohol and drug related crimes. I have seen the priest and pastors doing their duties and responsibilities teaching  the Gospel, visiting the prison and doing bible studies and all other missionary works but still humans have freewill and judgement. While I think religion can help creating ethical framework and a regulator for values in a day to day life but it is still enough to fight or reduce crimes and violence.

In some cases, religion enables and encourages discrimination and crimes against some people.

Religion can also be a good way to protect knowledge only if the people who're managing the books of those religious books are good and want the good of others.
Otherwise, they can misinterpret the lines written inside the books and make the sheep follow what servers them.
The second reason is what I think is going on.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Independent dicing on: November 11, 2021, 07:37:13 PM
So it's basically like playing dice at two different crypto casinos ? It kind of reminds me of the roulette tables from Evolution where they'd have this lobby with 12 roulette tables playing at the same time.

As what the others mentioned why not share the article you've read. From my view independent dicing seems like a dice site with several players throwing dice all at once and getting different results (common, uncommon, rare, etc).

Yea I've seen that roulette table game from Evolution.

Independent dicing in my view is a game like primedice or other dice games where a player has his own independent hash and bets against the casino.
Whereas dependent dicing seems to be what you're saying.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you think of Meta (Facebook) allowing bets in the metaverse on: November 11, 2021, 07:30:11 PM
Why not?
There are already games on Facebook or used to (haven't checked since 1 yr) that accept BTC and allow its users to place bets on the game.
Even if Facebook doesn't accept gambling now then it will at some point. Metaverse isn't going to be regulated by the government in the beginning.
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sky Vegas could face legal action due to promotional emails on: November 11, 2021, 07:24:55 PM
It's not only that people opting out of promotional emails of gambling casinos, but there had been casinos that closed their prior gambling website and made a new one,
Then sent emails to the users that were registered on the prior website and those users didn't register on the new website yet.

I'm not sure if i can find the thread of that website here.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Genting Casinos awarded for their safer betting standards on: November 11, 2021, 06:43:55 PM
Which casino you think should be included in the list in the future?? Did you ever try and gamble there? I was not aware of these awards and I do believe these are an amazing way to show the appreciation and to show the responsibility that a casino might take to go beyond for it's users.

Well, the gambling casinos that own a license don't necessarily mean they will not scam or be immune to douchebaggery.
One thing is that those casinos will have some form of protection for the users who play on those casinos.
If the user has been created by such a casino then they can go use the justice court of the country that casino's license is registered in.
