Two questions that one who are convinced about Mbappe to Liverpool deal should ask themselves:

Are Liverpool in position to sign Mbappe (no offence to Liverpool fans. And secondly, even if they are then is Mbappe interested in joining Liverpool? To me answer to both is no but majority of those who find Mbappe can still sign for Liverpool will see that there is bit of hurdle if we see for clear.
For now I don't think Liverpool will come for Mbappe, nor about Mbappe. So far I only think that Kylian Mbappe will still accept PSG's offer and extend his contract, but for the second option PSG will sell him to interested parties who are willing to pay a high price.

Everyone also knows that Real Madrid is one of the teams Kylian Mbappe has been interested in so far. Real Madrid have the opportunity to sign Mbappe regardless of whether they have to pay a fee or sign him for free, that's a possibility in my mind. Of course I haven't given the latest news regarding Mbappe and any teams he has been linked with, but Liverpool are unlikely to sign him.

by knowing these things, we can respect our mods and staff members how hard they work, and how the forum would look like.. without them, by spam posts, scammer users, etc.
this questions are out of curiosity and to know mod side of simple machines forum.
I can even appreciate all mod and respect to all of them as much as I can even though I never know how they do their moderation tasks on a daily basis. Regardless of whether mods get paid or not, I definitely respect their moderation work without exception.

So far I've never asked any mods how much time they spend each day moderating forum and activities of users, but either way I know they have a responsibility that deserves to be respected. They're not robots that can work 24/7, so it's always possible for about some things not as the user wants.

As a lifelong Liverpool fan I can confirm. There is absolutely zero chance our cheap ass owners facilitate a deal for Mbappe. It is never going to happen.

He will either sign a new deal with PSG or go on a free transfer next season to Real Madrid.
I don't know, but maybe you're right. I have heard so many complaints about the Liverpool management that it is always difficult to spend a lot of money to build a squad with expensive players. I even agree Liverpool don't need to bring in expensive players every season, but some players need to be brought in to improve and give them a better chance of winning titles.

Liverpool needs to change its tranger habits/policies if it wants to compete with Manchester City and other top teams. Even if they can win titles with the players they are now, Klopp certainly expects him to have a squad that can actually implement his plans every season well. Kylian Mbappe is good for Liverpool, but I agree with your assumption that Liverpool will not sign him from PSG.

Man United has already signed Rasmus Hojlund, so it can be assumed they won't be going after Harry Kane anymore. His performance will indeed be questioned because he is not yet considered a world-class striker and competition in the Premier League is clearly much different from Serie A. But I think Ten Hag must have had a reason for being so insistent on bringing Hojlund to Old Trafford.
Rasmus Højlund had good performances with Atalanta last season, but he is not very well known due to his age and career. Rasmus Højlund is still very young and has good potential to continue to develop into a great striker. He's only 20 years old and maybe Ten Hag really understands how to develop his skills again with Manchester United.

Rasmus Højlund may not be worth the comparison to Hary Kane, but this young striker has the potential to become a world-class striker for Manchester United. Rasmus Højlund scored 9 goals and 2 assists in 32 appearances for Atalanta in Serie A last season, so maybe that's why Ten Hag are interested in bringing him to Old Trafford.

Arsenal is also one of the clubs that has not won a title for a long time. In fact it is difficult to compete in the Premier League somehow stop the dominance of Manchester City they are in a golden era. From what I've seen only clubs with old coaches can beat them like Liverpool so between players and coaches have a strong bond and built more than 5 years. Manchester United is far from this category they need a few more years to be stronger while Arsenal may be closer we can see the progress from year to year top 8 , top 5 and last season they were runners up I think in the next 2 years it will be Arsenal's turn.
As long as Manchester City still supports Pep Guardiola as their coach, so long as Manchester City's dominance in the Premier League is possible. I don't think Pep Guardiola will lose his mind to knock his team from the peak of glory even if other teams continue to improve the depth of their squad. If Arsenal and all other teams can regenerate their players with quality players, then Pep Guardiola will too.

So far Pep Guardiola has been clouded by the club's massive financial power if he wants to build his team. Sure they have to be very careful how they spend money, but I don't think Manchester City will lose their dominance even if Arsenal try to stop it. Arsenal will not replace Manchester City's domination in the near future, but they can win the title if they manage to maximize every match and win points.

The main objective of the PSG team is to do well in the Champions League. They have been trying this for a long time. But they are not seeing success. Hopefully they will try to revamp the squad this season so that they can get into a good Champions League position.
Of course, PSG has tried to do its best and is constantly trying to increase its chances of winning the title. But in the end PSG haven't managed to win it even so far, but if they consistently improve then surely one day they will win it.

Winning the Champions League title is not easy, it clearly requires good team performance and strategy. PSG almost won it but still failed after winning tickets to the final a few seasons ago. They recruited Neymar, Messi, Ramos and many other top players to win the Champions League, but because this team lacked mentality and experience, failure was inevitable.

Last season Juventus were just unlucky through the point deductions they experienced throughout the season, because if Juventus did not experience this last season, Juventus might be in a more formidable competition next season. But that is a story that has passed so right now what Juventus needs to focus on is being able to bring more significant changes to the team before the official transfer window closes.
That's it, you are right about Juventus. I think Juventus were really unlucky last season because they had to receive a point penalty because of their past mistakes. They failed to qualify for the Champions League due to a point deduction, but Juventus' performance last season should be appreciated.

In my opinion, Juventus will try their best to improve their performance next season and compete in the title race. Juventus is a team that has a great history in Serie A, but they have fallen behind in recent seasons. Napoli, Milan, Inter, Roma and Atalanta will also join in the title race, so Juventus won't be alone there.

I was not overly surprised when Arsenal defeated Barcelona in this friendly match because I think that Arteta came into the game with the intention of winning since Arsenal supporters would not be pleased if they continued their losing streak to Barcelona after losing to Manchester United in few days ago.and even though Barcelona did not win or draw the game, this does not mean that they will not compete well when the new season begins. The fact that this is only a preseason and that many teams don't take preseason games very seriously is something I think most of us are aware of. Personally, I believe the squad made an effort to live up to my standards, but let's not forget that even in the league, inferior teams can occasionally overcome strong teams.So with Barcelona performance I still believe the club will perform well in the champions leagues.
True, it was not a surprise even though Barcelona had to suffer the embarrassment of losing by a big score. I didn't think the match would be flooded with goals with a total of 8 goals nested between the two teams, but that's the reality.

In that match, Xavi and Arteta tested some of their new players. But Barcelona, who took the lead first, were always matched by Arsenal, until the two of them closed the first half with a score of 2-2. Arsenal led the second half with a 4-2 lead until Ferran Torres managed to reduce the deficit to 4-3, but unfortunately Barcelona had to concede another goal a minute later as well as Arsenal's winning goal to make it 5-3.

That didn't happen in the ICO era, I haven't heard of that but it happened recently, maybe 1 year ago at maximum. There was a user who posted the same topic a few times. They used to delete the previous topic and create a new one exactly with the same content. They were trying to get merit twice for the same post lol and sadly they were able to get some merit until they were exposed.
Thanks for reminding me about the case, it's true that it happened more than a year ago which we can find in the thread referenced by @tranthidung. But during the ICO, I think some users also had similar habits like the above case. They're not doing it for merit, but I'm not sure what the motive is other than just not wanting to bother with making different posts in different threads.

I don't remember who did it, but someone seems to have uncovered it at the time. That is cheat behavior that is most likely just ripping off the campaign/ bounty manager. But deleting posts when you're not using any kind of signature for the purpose of ridding yourself of past junk wouldn't be a problem in my opinion.

This idea doesn't follow. I mean this fellow cannot join a flowing conversation because something written months ago might not be relevant for current discussion. If I should ask, what happened to his brain. After making the first post, was the user's brain blocked from producing more posts?
There is an ulterior motive why someone would do it, but I believe they are just part of spammers.
So far I'm not sure if I've ever found anyone who did, but what @lovesmayfamilis is talking about is something that may have happened before during an ICO and the bounty exploded.

There have been a lot of bounty spammers gone since the forums introduced the merit system. Many accounts were simply abandoned and only some of them started changing their posting patterns and quality in order to rank up and build a better reputation.

Xavi has done incredibly at Barcelona since his arrival at the club,and I can say all this results are achieved simply because he loved Barca and wanted the best for the team.During his time as a player in the club,he and Iniesta were the best midfielders in the world.They knew how to control the midfield than any other team as at that time.Now he is made the coach,and he has proved to them that he is capable of doing anything for the club.He has won their league with the Young's palers at the club,he has a dream of winning the Uefa Champions league next season,and I believe if the club management signs quality players that are experienced enough,they can win the Champions league.
You are right, Xavi has done a great job as coach of Barcelona. Xavi knows what he has to do at Barcelona and he knows what needs to change. The locker room gets better because of it, it's the best way to start a big plan for the success of his team.

Barcelona have so far managed to prove that they are not lacking in quality so one should not underestimate them. Of course it is true that Barcelona are not better in the Champions League, but when the season changes the new hope will be different. I think Xavi has laid out a good plan for the Champions League and domestic competitions next season, even if I would say Barcelona is still too far from perfect.

Despite their limited resources in signing high quality players since he took the managerial position at Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez has done well to improve the club's performance over the years and doesn't show any sign of slowing down their improvement anytime soon.
The winning mentality he's inculcated into the young lads at Barcelona is a clear representation of the positive effects of having him as their manager. They might not win the UEFA Champions League competition next season but with their growth rate, they might be winning it in the next few seasons
I have already said that Xavi has turned Barcelona's previously unconvincing form for the better in the last two seasons. Even Barcelona was last season's best in La Liga or is the best team in Europe with the lowest number of goals conceded in 38 league matches. It is a form of success that deserves high appreciation even though Barcelona is too bad financially.

I think Barcelona will still improve next season with some adjustments to their line-up after Busquets and Alba moved to Inter Miami, but I don't think Barcelona will be lacking in quality to lose their chance to defend the title.

~~~
Winning the Champions League is not easy
I honestly would be satisfied with doing well and reaching at least the quarter-finals as a certainty and a bonus the semi-finals.
Pretending to win the Champions League like this seems very silly and unrealistic to me
Even if Barcelona only managed to qualify for the round of 16, it can already be said to be something good compared to last season.
Barcelona and Xavi should be expected to qualify for a higher level in the Champions League next season, that's because they have to learn from the experiences of the last two seasons.
I also agree that it is a bit difficult to expect Barcelona to win the Champions League next season but it is never impossible because this is football. Every team has a chance to win the title, even if the odds are lower than some of the favorites.
Barcelona will keep pushing till they get the best results. The club advances in every round except the UEFA Champions League, which is their subsequent priority. Xavi Hernandez is the best thing that has happened to the blaugrana in recent years. The club was an utter shambles left by Ronald Koeman, who brought streak losses to the team, and they had no single hope of survival, instead pushing and battling to win a game. That didn't happen until the president, Joan Laporta, fired him and named Xavi Hernandez as a prospective replacement. Since then, everything at Camp Nou has improved.
You know a lot about Barcelona's situation with previous coaches, so of course you can really compare him to Xavi. Since Xavi signed a contract with Barcelona, then from that moment I started to believe he could bring Barcelona to a different level. He is a former player who has Barcelona DNA and understands the philosophy of the game, but even if he needs time to adjust he will surely find success with Barcelona.
Next season Xavi really hopes Barcelona can triumph in the Champions League. That is the target that Barcelona hopes for the most, but with the current composition of players, I believe that Barcelona will still have difficulty reaching the final. It took 2-3 seasons for Barcelona to make their young players very experienced and have a winning mentality, but not underestimate their speed of development.
1076  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 26, 2023, 03:12:47 PM
I agree with you, writing advice is easy and marketing it has become more important than being useful. Therefore, trading is one of the activities that requires the user to perform it in a practical way, forming his experience and then starting to learn. It is true that you will lose, but with the passage of days you will turn your loss into success. If you cannot change your behavior so that your losses are below average then trading may not be good for you but reading more books will not change the fact that trading is more empirical work than theoretical philosophy.
Trading is an activity with a high risk of loss, so of course a trader must have good skills if they want to make a profit. After all it is true that something can be said more easily than put into practice, it includes a shared strategy.
Traders should learn from experience, it will help them grow and achieve success. Then from that, I also think a trader must not only have experience and expertise, but they also need to have good psychology when dealing with market volatility. Learning from mistakes is a good way to build a good experience, but if they fall into the same hole it means they shouldn't trade, but it might be good to be a holder.
It doesn't matter how far you have watched Barcelona's development, but if you look back at their ups and downs, starting from the financial crisis to building the ideal team at this time, still for next season it might still be ideal to occupy the top position of the La Liga standings, but in the UCL of course the challenges are different. Likewise with rival competitors whose clubs have developed earlier. The point of Barcelona's renaissance began when Xavi arrived and tried to fix the mess.
Barcelona only needs to recover finances in order to maximize opportunities for hunting players. Xavi was just doing what he could so if he didn't come then it might not have had such a great effect. Like it or not, Barcelona needs to be grateful for the services that Xavi has performed so far, both the advantages and disadvantages.
Of course Barcelona and all of its management deserve to be grateful for the achievements brought about by Xavi's presence as the main coach. Xavi has built the quality and confidence in his players to play at their best since he was brought in, he has taken Barcelona to a different level compared to previous coaches.
Last season Xavi and his team managed to win two domestic titles, but unfortunately they were still too weak in the Champions League. Barcelona must improve and continue to try their best in the Champions League, but to be honest it definitely takes extra time and effort.
I do not think Kyle had this in mind. As a member of a team, they are all aware that there are games where their strength is needed and other games where other people's strength is needed in the game. Kyle Walker is a fast defender and against some very fast wingers like Vinicius Jr he is an excellent choice to close them down, but for some other types of wingers in the champions league, Pep had a better choice. Everything is to the teams success. It is like he wants a new challenge, maybe that is why he wants to leave to another club.
Kyle Walker will turn 34 in May, so it may be important for him to adapt to the relatively easier competition compared to the Premier League. The Bundesliga is not as strict as the Premier League, so it might be good as one of Kyle Walker's considerations for the upcoming season.
Kyle Walker is still very fast for a right-back, but as he gets older his performance and speed will certainly decrease. I still think Kyle Walker could play for Manchester City for the next few seasons, but I don't think it will be more than 2 seasons. Pep Guardiola must convince Walker to stay until he at least finds a suitable replacement for him.
I think Theymos doesn't talk too much about the merit system, that's reflected in their posting history which you can find here:
As far as I know, no new merit sources have been added in recent years, but some deletions are possible if they aren't actively doing their thing. I agree that local board need sufficient merit source, this will help many users achieve worth it merit.
Some teams in the Premier League do have almost the same opportunity for next season as long as the team coach can take advantage of players who have talent in certain lines and I think not only Liverpool can do that, but there are several other great teams who can also do this as long as their players don't suffer injuries next season. Nunez and Mohammed Salah are pretty good players, but they still need to make Liverpool look stronger next season with a level of hard work that isn't easy.
Liverpool certainly has a better possibility than most of the teams that occupy the mid-table of the Premier League standings. Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are some of the top teams that are always competing for the title. Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham were too bad last season, so they have to make big changes next season.
I can't believe that Liverpool will be a tough competitor for Manchester City if Arsenal and Manchester United really impress all season. Manchester City are still the favourites, but Liverpool and several other teams are challengers that cannot be ignored.
