1081  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: January 04, 2021, 08:25:01 AM
Late to the end of year party here at GOSU! As a very small GOSUer and contributor I firstly want to thank efialtis for such an amazing job in protecting and guiding us users into the diffucult waters of crypto gambling and, secondly, I am glad to wish you all the best for 2021!
1082  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-1-2 Coindesk - Bitcoin Worth $1B Leaves Coinbase as Institutions ‘FOMO’ Buy on: January 04, 2021, 08:19:58 AM
To add some more meat to the BBQ, institutionals investors do not tend to behave as retail investors who are basically easily to fool into the worst sneak oil scam. If they bought into btc so bad it's probably because they also got what it means to protect an asset from the enemy's eyes.
1083  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Dominance rising again. What is happening? on: January 04, 2021, 08:16:36 AM
Even though privacy coins fall into the altcoin subdomain, the whole concept of these coins is very important. Seeing the upcoming tightening in the crypto regulation realm, I truly hope that taproot and schnoor will be tackling this field hard enough for us to preserve a bit of privacy along the way to our financial freedom.
1084  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: January 04, 2021, 08:11:30 AM
I think Bitcoin volatility will remain and will not disappear, even Gold and fiat will experience less volatility. Because Bitcoin volatility is high enough,
it attracts the attention of many investors. For smart people, they can definitely take advantage of Bitcoin volatility to generate profits. So there is
no need to be afraid of Bitcoin volatility, if we can use it, it will provide many benefits for us. In fact, the first time I became interested in Bitcoin
trading because of the volatile Bitcoin price.

We are witnessing a pump, next movement should be the dump, and that's what you called volatility, high volatility actually.
That would not stop or will be eliminated as its the nature of crypto, for decentralized coins, and that makes traders to be more interested in crypto.

Look how much bitcoin has increased, and then compared how big it will dump when the correction happen.
We never saw these prices before and nobody knows what can happen. We don't even know what are probable support levels as bitcoin smashed almost every resistance along the way.
This is the unknown bitcoin market and for those who are here since a while it is not very surprising.

Wishing you guys all the best, many of you have been great guides throughout tough times.

Love you all. #nohomo

I don't have bitcoins.
I am simply able to control and use the private keys associated to my UTXOs.
These keys give me the opportunity to transfer those outputs to other addresses that will become new UTXOs for the next guy on the blockchain.
Again, I have NO bitcoins. I HOLD keys  Wink

1088  Economy / Economics / Re: We, bitcoiners, should buy a bank on: December 31, 2020, 09:02:11 AM
We, bitcoiners, should stop thinking like how they were thinking ages ago.
We've everything at our disposal: bitcoin is our bank already and we can have pocket money to live on a day-to-day basis via the Lightning Network.
If we, bitcoiners, don't get this how are we supposed to be better than them?
1089  Other / Archival / Re: 6 Most Popular Criticisms Of Bitcoin on: December 30, 2020, 08:53:26 AM
You could have simply shared something on fractional reserve and what that implies for regular people and their bank accounts.

I don't actually care if you haven't put my name on the list.
But I believe quality rather than quantity should be taken into account.
There's no way to reach a consensus on what quality stands for but, hey, that's ok.
Better for my opsec.
1091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whales or institutes do not stop their bitcoin buying on: December 29, 2020, 02:21:41 PM
My concern, however, goes in the direction that all of this BTC are in custodial wallets, which means not only they exposed to hacking, but they are left at the mercy of regulators and governments who can freeze them at any time.
It's a trade-off that can't be overcome right now. We knew that was coming: personally speaking, I wish the bitcoin community could have done something to counterbalance that during the crypto winter when the waters were calm.
Today it's too late.

What now, ZeroHedge behind a paywall?

Block JS overlays with Ublock Origins.
Great thanks!

1094  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Betnomi – Premier League Predictor – 1000$ main prize on: December 28, 2020, 05:15:49 PM
Any one here have received reward now? I check my account still not received any more, what happen with delay distribution and usually payment few hour after announcement sending.
Calm down man, nobody promised rewards few minutes after the games finish. Yes, the rewards were usually paid out very promptly but this time something happened. You already sent me 2 PMs and posted twice here. Betnomi representative is in different time zone and he comes online usually few hours from now. I guess he just forgot to credit the accounts last night. I already sent him the reminder and the rewards will be paid out soon.

Edit: Rewards have been paid out to the winners just now

People are so impatient down here.
Got my reward, still aiming for the single BTC  Wink

1096  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2020-12-22 Forbes - Massive Hack Exposes Bitcoin’s Greatest Weakness on: December 28, 2020, 05:10:32 PM
I believe we speak different languages: I don't care if Ledger is related to bitcoin because they produce hardware wallets. The point here is that I can't stand that somebody argues on bitcoin weaknesses which are not related to the bitcoin protocol itself but rather on the complete lack of care that a company uses when managing users' data.
Am I clear on that?
1097  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: December 28, 2020, 05:06:22 PM
Tether is convenient and I bet the majority of newcomers don't even know about the whole so-called USDT drama which we saw in the last few years. Many will be caught off guard if, eventually, Tether will blow up: and they will blame the lack of regulation and such. That is the main reason I believe USDT has caused a lot of damage to crypto already due to the fact that will be used as an excuse to tighten the already heavy rules on crypto.
1098  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: December 28, 2020, 04:57:36 PM
If you really want to test your strategy you could play at crypto.games and use play money. This gave me an idea of how the bot works, also in programmer mode, without risking my real coins.
I hope it can work for you too.

I mean you could use the built in simulator that uses the sites own RNG with random seeds to do a simulation at 20+x the speed of actually placing bets...
I use that too but I prefer to implement my strategy while playing because I adjust and tweak many options as the bot runs. It needs to be funny also if you get what I mean! Wink
1099  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: December 27, 2020, 04:52:25 PM
They are running after Tether and the ticking time bomb can be listened at a distance. Only regulated stablecoins will be considered safe after USDT will be taken down.

Backers of stable coins should also be able to obtain and verify the identities of all parties conducting transactions, including those involving so-called unhosted wallets, the officials said.
Don't trust, avoid verify (in this case).
