Btw don't mine groestl if you want profit. Mine scrypt-jane (N=>12).
My tips for today (please don't tell Christian  Grin): mine Jackpotcoin. My 30x750Tis farm earned me 100$ for last 30 hours.

AizenSou, what hashrate are you getting on your 750Tis with scrypt-jane N12? I think I'm doing ok with ~26Kh/s per card with modest overclocking, but dunno if my settings are good or not, all settings I found posted by other people are netting me worse results.

My settings are:
-i 0 -L 2 -l T5x12

Cheers,
~ Myagui

EDIT: forgot to mention, I'm using the official release from 28-02, newer/community builds have generally misbehaved or not worked at all for scrypt-jane.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: April 29, 2014, 02:02:58 PM
weirdly for jackpot coin i have a stake of over 800000 but no balance, even with over 3000 confirms
grr its so annoying, i use to mine yac etc. and now i cant even remember

When you wallet is attempting a PoS block, the relative inputs move into stake, and will only be available again after a possible PoS block is matured.
There's an option to prevent coins from staking, IIRC, it's -reservebalance XXX (XXX = how much balance to prevent from staking, wallet launch parameter, might not be accurate on this right now).

Cachecoin.org update looks decent, waiting on the forum and stats to be migrated now.

Block Explorer has however been down most of today. Does this relate to the stats migration you mentioned Jasinlee?

Kalgecin & Singula,
Thank you both for your kind assistance. Wallet has not locked up again after another full day running, so now I'm wondering if my earlier trouble was due to stake unlocking, combined with all my transactions around that time being about 1 CACH each (some 60 transactions around that time). Oh well, will bug you guys again if I run into trouble.

Cheers,
~ Myagui

Thanks for sharing your settings Myagui!  Smiley

Hey there leekua,
Most welcome! [pats self in the back for being useful for once  Cool]

Will be happy to take donations from your boosted hashrate:
LTC: LKS1WDKGED647msBQfLBHV3Ls8sveGncnm
BTC: 16hJF5mceSojnTD3ZTUDqdRhDyPJzoRakM
YAC: Y87sptDEcpLkLeAuex6qZioDbvy1qXZEj4

Now, seriously, these are Christian's addresses copied over from cudaminer's launch screen!!!  Grin

Happy mining,
~ Myagui

Maybe just blocks with lots of transactions (slow ones), when compared to "empty" blocks (only the coinbase tx and no other transactions)?

I suppose that is one possibility. I'll try to record cpu usage when this happens and what block number it is, so I can then check the explorer for how many transactions it carried and if it was PoS or PoW.
Thanks for the suggestion singula!

[...] I'll execute the wallet as instructed, have it run at least for a day, then report back to the e-mail provided. [...]

Update: After a full day running the wallet, no lockup occurred. I spotted that some blocks take unusually longer to get processed (didn't have a chance to spot if those slow ones were PoW or PoS), but the wallet has not acted up yet! So, will save this debug.log for future reference, clear the logs, reopen the wallet, and this time, have it running unlocked for staking. Will report back in a day or so.

Thanks again,
~ Myagui

Yes, I'm understand that t and T is not same thing.
And still get error with T (no validate on cpu...)
What pool you use for mining UTC?

Then, are you on the latest build from the git source? I am not. I am on the official release from 28-02-2014.
Had checked UTC yesterday or so, no issues here. The pool and full launch string was this:
Code:
cudaminer.exe -a scrypt-jane:UTC -o stratum+tcp://ultra.nitro.org:3337 -u someuser -p somepassword -i 0 -L 2 -l T5x12

Soo to interrupt everyone, but are we due a new mining profitability sheet?
If someone sends me details on how to calculate it i will gladly make an online one that updates itself if i can.

I think we're due an updated profitability sheet every morning at 9am GMT!  Cheesy
Wasn't it Christian that posted some details on profitability calculations a page or two back? Hm, feeling lazy here, me needs me some coffee!

Did you mine UTC now? Maybe N=4096 when you launch your configuration? With your configuration now i'm getting errors.
With autotune i get t5x10 or t59x1

I'm actually on CACH at the moment, but IIRC, it's exactly at the same algo state right now, scrypt-jane N12. Just double-checked, yes, that's what I'm using, no other switches!
Note, T5x12 is not the same as t5x12! Uppercase is what I'm using, maybe that's what's not working for you?
FWIW, I'm using Win8 x64, cudaminer x86 (got broken dependencies for x64 that I haven't been bothered to fix yet).

Oh, typo alert! Where I stated:
Code:
-i 0 -L 2 T5x12
Should instead have been:
Code:
-i 0 -L 2 -l T5x12

Good luck!

Work. With UltraCoin

zelante, what's your launch config for the 750TIs there?
Perhaps try this:
-i 0 -L 2 T5x12

Running on the latest proper "official release version", this get's me about 26Kh/s per 750TI, and mine are not much overclocked at all...
If anyone has better launch settings for scrypt-jane N12, please share Smiley

Cheers,
~ Myagui

Thanks for stepping in Kalgecin,
Now sadly, I just moved around funds last night, and with my current balance and coin age, it looks like I'll only be having a chance at staking in a day or two. I think (but not sure) that every time I had gotten stuck before, it was when unlocked for staking (which should not be happening right now). Anyway, I'll execute the wallet as instructed, have it run at least for a day, then report back to the e-mail provided.
Cheers,
~ Myagui

So..uhh..whatcha guys mining now? I'm mining Groestl but that's at a loss.  Huh

I understand UTC might be a good profit until the reward drop at block 240000 (and possibly delaying your sells for after the reward drops).
Haven't done the math myself yet...

Kalgecin,

Is there an update coming for coin control? Reason I'm asking is that I've had some balance & minting unlocked wallet for some 3 weeks now, and 0 PoS blocks. I understand it might just be tough luck, but anyhow wondering if there's anything else preventing me from staking.
Also, I seem to have some problem after a day or two with the wallet open, it will get stuck on some block and sync'ing will not progress any further until I restart it. I've had this happen many times over the 3 weeks time I was trying to stake. Connections are always good when this happens, minimum of 6 peers from what I remember. I'm on Windows 8 if that makes a difference, and not using the wallet for PoW generation. Wondering if I'm the only one having this issue...

Thanks,
~ Myagui
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: April 18, 2014, 10:42:30 PM
Making a forced update to the way POW diff will be handled. New rule: if the time between last two PoW is more than twice the target time (more than 30 mins) diff is adjusted to meet the target 15 min. So if time will be 45 mins, diff will be divided by 3. Sounds fun? I hven't set the time or pushed an update yet, but current target time for the forced update is 20th April 2014 at 21:00 GMT. Will notify the exchanges when the time will be set for certain. Now I'm just checking if everyone is comfortable with this

For what is worth, I have no problem with this. However, I would add that singula's suggestion seems less 'aggressive' on the diff adjusting and might be a good option also. Perhaps some simple (yet effective) middle ground could be found? Either way, it does seem that the current re-target scheme is too penalizing after each Nfactor change.

As for the shares - it is true, that the round info graph compares your rate to pool rate (which is you + rest of the pool) and this does not make that much sense for a pie (or round or similar) graph. I've fixed the round info graph to compare you vs. rest of the pool.

Thanks singula, no more eye sore from the 100%+ round graph, yay!  Grin

POS update is in the works and n factor just went up...its all coming together.

You Mister, get your a$$ over to the "Fib Factory" right now and go get me my 4 recursions, STAT!   Wink

singula,

Sorry for bugging again, too much time on my hands as I'm sitting by your pool's dashboard Smiley
I was noticing that the Dashboard > Round Information graph, appears to show not the total of shares from all pool members (making the circle represent 100% of shares), but instead, the total shares from all pool members + own worker shares (making the circle represent more than 100% of shares). To put this in other words, let's say I have submitted 500 valid shares, and other members have submitted 1000 valid shares. The pool section of the graph will show 1500 shares, and my worker section another 500 (for an incorrect total of 2000 instead of 1500).

The payout *estimates* are also incorrect, and I'm thinking that it is the same "error" that's causing them to be generally lower than I'd expect. Most importantly, payout is correct - I just noticed this on the latest block found - where my estimate was off (low), but the payout was correct (higher than the estimate).

I really don't mind at all, it's purely cosmetic at this point. Just had to keep myself busy a couple of minutes (hours?!) while we wait for the next block to be found!
Cheers,
~ Myagui

i dont mind windows 8.1, i have used it for a while on laptops so i am use to it, i can having to scroll for 10 million years to load command prompt though

What? Using a mouse or touch to fire up the command prompt? Hmmm... am I the only old school here that can't let go of the keyboard?
Try "Windows+R", type "cmd" and Enter. This is what I always do, completely instinctive after a while, and makes the most sense, since you'll be using your keyboard on the command prompt, right?  Wink

Sorry for the off-topic btw, must stop squatting around the thread!

Slow death of CACH Oo, some1 sold 3600 CACH on cryptsy Oo

I'm choosing to read:
Strong trading of CACH Oo, some1 just bought cheap 3600 CACH on craptsy Oo

Coinwarz just chainged their block reward display so hashes will probably drop fast now.

And yet, in the last 5 minutes since I posted my above maths, the network hashrate is actually UP to 1gh/s...

WTF?

IIRC, hashrate is extrapolated from difficulty, not the other way around. So it's a guesstimate, and will might also be reflecting on the PoW + PoS difficulty (since both produce blocks). Sorry for the short post, hope it still makes sense (gotta run!)

Happy Mining Staking!

Zeitcoin, Stevegreer, and possibly others:
About time you fix that signature hah!

HUGE community, giveaways & bounties. Zeitcoin becomes fully PoS in a few weeks. Mine while you still can

From the PoS information & details found on the OP:
Code:
walletpassphrase [passphrase] [timeout]

For the purpose of staking, shouldn't one instead use:
Code:
walletpassphrase [passphrase] [timeout] true

As I recall, the 'true' at the end of that command would stand for the wallet unlocking for staking purposes *only*, and otherwise still require a password for any other transaction types to execute. Just pointing this out as the OP does not have the 'true' parameter in there.

Cheers,

I checked transactions in your account and transactions in the wallet and I have found no discrepancy. The lower payout is probably caused by block 13875 - that block took 915% of estimated time to found (which was very unlucky and statistically should happen with probability 0.5^9.15 = once per about 568 blocks)

You are absolutely right singula. I had noticed that 'difficult' block when it was just a fraction over 900%, and completely forgot about it. I later noticed no payout for a relatively large duration, but didn't correlate the events! Completely my bad, thanks for clearing it up.

I'm clear on the matters of luck, variance and pool dominance.
It's not by accident that I'm mining with your pool  Cool

Cheers,
~ Myagui
