1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: December 21, 2017, 02:11:11 PM
from a purely technological point of view, the bitcoin is already exceeded! now take his place number 1 it seems impossible to me, given its size, these volumes of exchanges ....

The only way it will be replaced is not really by being replaced but rather upgraded. As great as blockchain technology is eventually it will become utdsted with some other more advanced version of the block chain and thus a new Bitcoin will be created. Whatever replaces Bitcoin it does not matter because Bitcoin is just a name given to the first coin ever made with this technology. It's the technology that will survive and move on, the coins are simply giving the technology use in the real world.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The whales are cashing out on: December 21, 2017, 02:08:12 PM
I agree with you about the fees and it is true the big players can afford to make more transactions but the rest of what you say is total bs. Firstly you have yourself to blame and can pay yourself and the horse of idiots who sell btc to get fiat. If you don't believe in bitcoin and want fiat then don't bother at all. Bitcoin is a currency there is no cashing out. It's eooe like you who insist on "cashing out" who have made the fees so high. Bitcoin is a currency so use it as such.
1103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing your Cryptos on: December 17, 2017, 11:51:01 PM
I have also been thinking about how to properly secure my funds now that I have been gathering bitcoins for sometime and you really can't put a price on safesty so I will be buying a ledger nano s and you might buy 2 but that will be expensive. One I will barely use it will be for long term kind of like a safe or savings account while the other is more like a spending wallet. Paper copies of the privatekey can be given to a family member to keep in their house for extra safety.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto growing at your expected rate? on: December 17, 2017, 11:42:35 PM
To he honest crypto has already spread much faster then I thought it would. Already there seminars her for people to learn about bitcoin and gain financial freedom that is mostly because things are going badly and the job market sucks so there is little money and people need to find ways to make a living and that is where Bitcoin comes in. We can already buy food at one supermarket here with bitcoin so it's really surprised me by how it's caught on.
1105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done with your bitcoin in 2017 on: December 17, 2017, 11:36:20 PM
I bought a PC and sne other stuff. I have my portfolio diversified really well and my main currency is Bitcoin which is obvious because it's the new that I spend. Smiley I mainly to slow smaol trades and slowly build up but now I'm thinking of getting into mining.
1106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do i sell bitcoin in my country? on: December 17, 2017, 08:34:22 PM

use localbitcoin and paxful website.you can sell here your bitcoin for your local currency.you can also use facebook local group for buy sell bitcoin.

Localbitcoins is your best bet for finding local traders to trade with and getting good prices. So far they give the best sell and buy price I have seen and it's very competitive too. It's a great site you will enjoy using it. The best part is it's also safe and oegit it has f2A and has been around for a really long time and is well established.
1107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Go Up Or Down Next Week? on: December 17, 2017, 08:30:34 PM
The price dropped a lot last night. Don't know if it can go up or down next week. Want to buy more.

Do you know how to read a graph? It never dropped. What's the point of your topic? Buy more before it goes up more.

Wall street will show us at 18.12.2017 what gonna happen

Noone knows what is going to happen.

Bitcoin is gaining so much traction lately it's even effecting my country and local news.
1108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Purchasing Bitcoin Mining Packges on: December 17, 2017, 08:21:00 PM
It is probably better to mine your own bitcon then buy a contract. I have seen those contracts and they last a year. If you mine yourself it will last at least twice that long story the same price. Also after that year is over you in nothing but the coins you mined. If you mine yourself then you still have the miners.
1109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm a newbie here, should I start holding BTC in the next year 2018? on: December 17, 2017, 08:17:06 PM
Yes keep buying small amounts. Slowly convert the fiat you have into crypto and the more and longer you do it the more your confidence will grow and the more your ratio of fiat/bitcoin will be. Remember there is no need to sell Bitcoin to fiat, that is pointless and defeats the entire point of bitcoin. Each and every day that goes past more and more eooe are accepting bitcoin as payment so hold on to it you will not regret it.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: £1000 to spend on a mining rig on: December 17, 2017, 07:36:49 PM
Dude you missing alot of things. Get an evga 1300w g2 platinum or evga p2 1200w PSU.  Msi z270 Mobo and 4gb ddr4 ram. Cpu g3930 Celeron. Riser with self power. A hard drive.
1111  Economy / Gambling / Re: Invest in an online Casino on: December 17, 2017, 07:27:30 PM
I would like to but your reputation is red, I dont think this is a good idea here mate!

Nevermind have trust rating listen to what he is saying 30x my phone investment? What crap. So I invest 1 BTC I get 30btc I retire. Far too easy the casino would have to have like s 90% house edge and so many people playing ^^

Exactly. A casino with such returns would never need investors come with money.
And with such returns I doubt it's a honest casino.

This would be if we'd trust the OP, which having red feedback I don't expect him to be correct.
As somebody else said, his attempt to get some referral money makes more bad to that casino he can imagine.

Lol it makes me laugh how badly people try. I mean if you want to scam people make it believable. Make it just good enough to be possible. 30x is just being stupid. I think a realistic value would be 2%-5% perhaps more. I think a good casino investment might double your money in a year or come close to like make 80% then that guy's comes with 30x xD that will take 1/3 to 1/2 your life.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can paying in Bitcoin save tax? on: December 17, 2017, 10:44:43 AM
I don't think that changes anything. Even if you are earning Bitcoin it foes not exempt you from paying taxes as it is still counted as income from both earning and capital gains. Also i don't think that method will be legal as from what I know it is a standard procedure to Foreign Fiat Currency to be converted in your local Fiat Currency equivalent, which will also apply to Bitcoin. Remember that we cannot tax other currency we must convert it on our own to make it proper.

What a load of crap. You don't have to convert your Bitcoin to your local currency. It's yours you can keep it for as long as you like. You can spend it directly that's the whole point if btc. You don't need fist anymore because it is a currency. Wow dude please don't state rubbish like they facts.

Depends in which country you're living in so you should do your own research. In my country government has set no regulations on cryptocurrencies unless you're cashing it out into fiat. Yet there are VERY few places where you can pay using cryptos so there hasn't been any need for those regulations..
Anyways, if you're going to accept cryptos and not cash them into fiat you're probably not going to get in trouble but if I were you I'd cash-out some amount you have received, pay taxes for that and use remaining money. Then you're less likely to get in governments radar.

I use to think I couldn't spend crypto anywhere but you can. Did you look well enough? Don't only look for bitcoin look for a payment processor that supports Bitcoin. Many many websites use payment processors and they often support Bitcoin.
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can paying in Bitcoin save tax? on: December 17, 2017, 10:36:24 AM
I would not call them loop holes but you don't normally declare tax on everything. If you sell your car you don't declare tax on that. If you sell your house you don't either. If you did then he would you afford another car or house? You also don't have to declare everything you do. If you run a side business sewing for people or whatever it is then you don't declare tax on that. You only declare tax when it becomes a proper business. It does also depends on the laws in your country.

Also honestly I think it would cost a country more to charge people for Bitcoin legality issues then to leave it. I honestly don't think it makes enough of a difference to the economy. When you spend Bitcoin you stimulate growth of Bitcoin and jobs. Think about it. Because of bitcoin I can not afford to buy things from people and this gives them employment. The government is bit going to stop that. Eventually some if that money even if you pay in bitcoin is going to go to tax because of vat and other things. If at some point in the future things need to he adjusted I'm sure the government and the people can work together.
1114  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New site listing forks and airdrops with dividends to Bitcoin owners on: December 17, 2017, 10:31:30 AM
I know, that it is awful much work, but I would be glad, if you could extend your list to all upcoming Bitcoin forks. Do you know already something about Bitcoin Diamond?

Yes, Bitcoin Diamond is included in the list on btcdiv.com but please note that I've seen some reports of it being a scam, see

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinAirdrops/comments/7faado/bitcoin_diamond_warning_likely_a_scam/

Be careful.

As far as I know bitcoin diamond was only given to people who held btc on supported exchanges. It's not like btg or bch. So many people have lost money transfering their balances or using untrustworthy sites and being fooled into importing their privatekey there only to have everything stolen including the airdrop the victim tried to get in the first place. If you worried rather don't do it at all. Make sure you understand what is goig on. You only use official methods and official wallets and never give your privatekey to anyone or any programs unless that program is the official wallet and you are importing your privatekey into it. That is the only time you ever reveal your privatekey. Make sure you never follow any links to login pages for your wallets because it's most likely a phishing attempt. Bookmark and check the website has the green lock of encryption. Always check the website name and if in doubt ping both links and if they differ then you know the one is fake.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Placement of equipment? on: December 16, 2017, 11:39:13 PM
Where is this property? How many s9 miners have you got? What solar panels are you using? Can you take a video of your minig farm? Are you offering to let people invest and if so why haven't you setup a site for it?
1116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Africa is profitable than anywhere else! on: December 16, 2017, 11:28:48 PM
I'm not sure where you getting your info but Africa is a Continent that has many countries. What countries are you talking about? Botswana? Limpopo? South Africa? Egypt? Kenya? Nigeria? Ethiopia? Mosambeque? Where exactly? I don't think you are right.

I am of the thinking that if you are in Africa you can definitely profit more from bitcoins and other altcoins.
The cost of electricity is very lower in Africa.. In many places the monthly cost of electricity is less than under a dollar
Could this make one to get the best of bitcoins...

Salute to you all...am new here

Think about the heat. You pay little on electricity but you consume extra on cooling. And god knows if the electricity supply will be enough to provide enough power. If africa was at the North Pole, maybe it would've been a very good option.

Also, I think there's some stuff about the exchanges there. Don't they charge a lot more than what the actual price of bitcoin is based on other exchanges?

This is an old article (June of 2017), but I just came across it while trying to search for the prices.

https://mybroadband.co.za/news/banking/213998-why-bitcoin-is-often-more-expensive-in-south-africa.html

It states that the price is higher due to the supply and demand of the market.

I guess I could see the mining idea working out if someone decides to mine in Africa and has ample cooling and is willing to send their coins over to a wallet so that they can use an exchange in a more stable-marketed country.

Yes it is expensive for electricity in South Africa as well as most things because everything is imported.

If that's the case then mining in your country will be really profitable. Why don't you try mining in your country?  Also I read somewhere that the exchange rate of bitcoins is more in Africa especially in Nigeria. If you cant afford an antminer then try to get 2 or 3 gpus and mine ethereum. After that you can easily convert your mined ethereum into bitcoin.

But it's also more dangerous to mine in unstable and poor countries where electricity is cheaper. You're taking much greater risk and have to pay security guards or people will steal everything to buy food and clothes. Imagine running a 1 million USD mine like the ones in China in a country where people earn $2 per day. You'd have to hire blackwater or a similar company to keep the angry mob away.

Africa is a continent not a country.... Please get it right.....
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth getting paid in Bitcoin for freelance work? on: December 16, 2017, 11:19:57 PM
I don't see the problem here? Work for bitcoin! You going to buy it anyway. You don't have to cash it out into fiat, you could just cashout a small amount and pay tax on that and buy everything else with bitcoin if you can. Keep your Bitcoin don't sell it for fiat.

I’m a web developer/designer and wondered if it’s worth getting paid in bitcoin? I’m from the UK and not sure how it would work in terms of the end of year tax return.
I mean what would you be losing out on, really? It might be worth it if the value continues on a bull run.

As for UK tax laws, I would assume that, and don't quote me since I am not a UK tax law expert, you would note down the value of the bitcoin when you receive it, and then whatever price you sell it for, either with capital gains or capital loss due to normal volatility, would be the portion that is taxed. One part being the "normal" salary, the work you were paid for, and then capital gain/loss being whatever changes from that point for your Bitcoin. Now, as I said, I don't know. I don't think that the UK has tax laws defined for something as specific as that.

But it probably wouldn't hurt much to accept part of your salary in Bitcoin.

Then you will have to prove when you received your Bitcoin and what price it was. You will have to give your wallet info and transactions. What will they do with that? Nothing because they don't know about how bitcoin works. So I'm not sure how you would make a tax deduction on that. Then when you need to prove your losses in altcoins ect how at you going to do that? Why don't you just keep the Bitcoin and use it as it is intended why would you want to swap it for ancient banking technology?
1118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Scam Warning] https://liqui.io on: December 16, 2017, 10:23:56 PM
What are you trading waves for? Why not just use the waves wallet directly?

It sucks when things like this happen. But give them some time, at the moment every exchange is overwhelmed by the sudden public interests.

I don't think it's a scam. Noone will scam for that amount. It's not acceptable though that they take so long to do anything. This should be fixed and bit happening it's very unprofessional and makes the crypto world look bad.
1119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Crypto wallet ? on: December 16, 2017, 10:21:54 PM
If you use bitcoin use electrum or blockchain.info both these wallets have online syncing and both give you the privatekey. I prefer electrum if you want more of a qt feel but if you want a nicer interface then use blockchain.info but get your privatekey with them. If you want to easily make more wallets use electrum. For tokens use myetherwallet. For any other coin use their own official wallet and if it is a POS coin keep your wallet open to stake and help the network.
1120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Tips For New Bitcoin Investors on: December 16, 2017, 04:20:32 PM
Good bringing this to peoples attention. It's needed and a must for anyone investing their hard earned money.
Never spend what you cannot afford to use so that means don't go using your food money. Use extra money you have after covering your basic expenses. If you use nney you need it night bot end uo well. Yes you can make more investing with nite but if you don't so we'll it can go very badly. If it's money you can afford to lose you can invest again and give it another go.
