@Hyena have you ever even taken the time to look at the typical Monero transaction in a Monero block explorer? Take a look to see what information you can uncover about senders. Nada. True IPs are not completely hidden yet (logs) but that is coming with I2P integration in Kovri; meantime users can use a VPN or Tor. For users who want anonymity there is no better option than Monero ATM. The OP was right in recommending Monero.

If anyone had their Trezor or Nano S stolen and hacked it would be all over social media. If your hardware wallet is stolen and you use passphrases you have significant extra protection. Plenty of time to restore your seed to your spare and move your coins. As long as you follow recommended procedure from the manufacturer you may as well worry about getting struck by lightning.

You should trade on paper for a year until you have proven to yourself you can make profits consistently. Most new traders lose their bankroll and quit. When you are young you think you are special and the rules do not apply to you but pro traders will eat you alive. Fresh meat is what novice traders are called. Good luck. If you are serious about trading you need to find a mentor who will teach you enough for you to stay above water.

Just to let everyone know that using TREZOR to claim your BCH is a piece of cake. Excellent interface from SatoshiLabs, kudos to them! I claimed them all from both my wallets and transfered directly to Kraken.
I'm a HoDLer, can't do trading, not good at it. But the "free" cash I got from BCH was too tempting for me to not give it a try. I sold all of them when they were slightly past their peak. Now they're dropping nicely, so I can buy them back and be left with free BTC! But I'll wait for a bit to see how it all plays out. Trading is an addictive thing. I may do it with my free BCH, but there's no way I'm touching my original BTC. They're safely stored in my TREZOR and will not be touched unless absolutely necessary.
Have fun guys 'n' gals, and remember --> HoDL!
Sounds like you picked the right HW wallet. I've got a keepkey and they're still trying to figure out how to let us send BCH. There is a bug in the beta-wallet.trezor.io interface you have to use to claim BCH and use. You won't lose any coins but you may get surprised to see the wrong balance when switching between BTC and BCH if you have multiple accounts and use passphrases. Trezor is working on a fix the problem is explained here.

Since BCH difficulty adjusted down yesterday an S9 mining BCH can break even in less than two months; that is a powerful incentive to mine BCH instead of BTC. Watch the hashrate.

|
Right now while BCH difficulty is super low an S9 can ROI in less than two months according to Coinwarz.

Ok thanks again I did it. Sent with high fee to avoid biting off my nails in the process of waiting for confirmations lol.
Are we able to import blockchain.info wallets into trezors to claim the BCH from those as well? I don't know if Blockchain.info is BIP39 or whatever...does anyone know?
You can not import into a Trezor - just send from blockchain to a receiving address in Trezor. Make sure you do not send BCH to BTC vice versa. Trezor does a good job of warning you.

So don't take your trezor with you to areas where you have to hand it over? Sounds like a non issue for most.
This is not the point! I really hope these are all FUDs and that Trezor is still very safe. If you can't take a Trezor out with you in order to not be lost, half of the point of owning Trezor goes down the drain immediately. Owning Trezor gave me a piece of mind when it comes to stuff like this, and if this peace of mind is no longer here, you guess. Not to mention that as we get more and more adoption, ways to steal your coins will evolve just like people are stealing regular wallets today in subways, etc.. These are very serious allegations that need to be sorted out and explained. Does anyone know is Ledger Nano S in the same possible boat? Ledger devs have confirmed Nano S is not vulnerable to this exploit due to the Secure Element architecture Nano S uses. However, remember Ledger has taken criticism because they cannot open source the Secure Element due to non-disclosure agreements with the manufacturer. KeepKey CTO thinks their hardware wallet is not affected but are not certain yet: a firmware update for KeepKey may be necessary. Here is the latest news from Trezor just published on their blog. TL;DR updating Trezor firmware to version 1.5.2 fixes the vulnerability.

|
|
Trezor devs have already stated that the firmware update to 1.5.2 fixed the exploit. They are putting up a new blog post soon with more details but are giving other hardware wallets based on Trezor codebase like KeepKey some time to update first.

can someone translate the russian and post here ,so all we can get to know the news soon.
"Well, after the breakdown of the level of $ 3500 on weeks - I do not see any resistance to the level of $ 15,000" Fibonacci analysis of the previous all time high shows significant resistance at $7079.

I got redirected to this thread from Google news! https://cointelegraph.com/news/legendary-bitcoin-trader-masterluc-predicts-15000-bitcoin-this-yearMasterluc now predicts that Bitcoin will reach $15,000 before the end of this year. What’s more, he believes that Bitcoin will reach a price of $40,000 - $110,000 by the end of this bull run. He gives a timeframe of 2019 for that price target. I don't know how accurate Masterluc has been so far. But if his prediction even becomes remotely close to reality, I will be super-rich. He never said before the end of the year. The article is wrong. Where does he share his ideas these days? Doesn't seem like he is very active on the forums anymore. I remember a friend telling me that he had a Russian community where he shared charts, but dumb old me assumed I could just check his thread here, so I didn't ask for the website. I don't remember hearing anything about $15,000 before the end of the year, but his $40,000-$100,000 by 2019 call is now famous. I am inclined to pay attention, since he was very accurate predicting the bull cycles in both the early 2013 and late 2013 runs. I do recall that he was wrong once or twice calling the bottom in 2015, but I certainly can't cast any shade on his analysis since that time. Go to https://vk.com/bitcoin_vanga use Chrome with Google Translate for the Russian forum. He is also PentarhUdi at TV.

If you read the link you can sign up for an account at ViaBTC to get more submissions. Either that or try again in an hour. Latest Electrum should not let you send a tx with a too low fee you need to update to latest release most likely. Use dynamic fees and RBF.

Hello Everybody I sent coins from my Electrum account more then 14 hours ago. The transaction still pending. Here is transaction id: 1384410951c3ac37dff257ce70dab1964b9933ccd52f37d6fb3ec9891d7456ca Any idea what is going on?
Any way to speed up this transaction?

Nice, But what does it mean? That $7079 would be the maximun price scenario or that it is a big probability scenario?
Fibonacci gives targets for traders to enter or take profits. It was very accurate in predicting $4400 but does not guarantee the market will follow through and advance to $7000. I pointed our earlier that $7000 is lower probability based on previous cycles. masterluc thinks we are headed to $15000 from his posts on a Russian forum (use Google Translate.)

Once the $3800 low was in it is possible to draw a new set of Fibonacci extensions on the 4 hour chart: The local extensions show $4770 as important resistance if $4400 is taken out. The monthly extensions I posted earlier still predict $7079 on a longer time frame.

Trezor 2 is shipping by the end of this year. Major design improvement, larger colour touchscreen etc. Will not obsolete present Trezors at all, just a step forward. No estimates on cost but you can expect a slightly higher price than the present generation. Or perhaps SatoshiLabs will continue to sell Trezor Gen 1 at a reduced price:)
