11281  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Gen Social Gambling Dice Experience | Progressive Jackpot on: June 30, 2015, 03:17:43 AM
I've noticed that the minimum amount for getting 40% of the jackpot changed from 100 satoshi to 1000 satoshi. Is this true, or it is just a mistake of the jackpot FAQ? Because the last jackpot win is a 101 satoshi bet while winning 40% of the jackpot.

Hmm, just realized it too..perhaps they changed the amount after the last jackpot winner @freebee (won 40% with 101satoshi bet). But I dont see any announcements about it..so lets wait for official announcement from dadice.

That's not only @freebee. The 2nd jackpot, which target is also 0.00, the winner @ohyeah also made a 101 satoshi bet to win the 0.56BTC jackpot. Perhaps they are going to fix the positive expected value that makes them loss???

11283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chile vs Peru on: June 29, 2015, 11:20:32 PM
I think that Chile should win the match, because, first, by fifa.com, Chile's global ranking is at 19th while that of Peru is at 61st. Second, Chile is the 'home' team (because they're hosting the Copa America) while Peru is 'Away'. Home team have an advantage because of stadium/climate/fans' support etc.
11284  Other / Meta / Re: Negative rating from a banned user on: June 29, 2015, 01:59:45 PM
Lesson of the day: never open a thread to complain about troll trust ratings. Things will get worse in the end, much worse
true, no-one will take my ratings seriously now

@Digital_Lord

No one takes trust ratings serious anyway.

They are completely useless due to non moderation and the ease of feedback farming.

~BCX~

The trust ratings from DefaultTrust (depth 2) matters because they affect the value of the account and it will affect the reputation because a 'Warning! Trade with extreme caution' tag will appear at the profile and the user's posts if they have negative feedback from trusted members. However almost no one will care on 'Untrusted feedback' (i.e. feedback from people not from DefaultTrust's trust list), especially for those have no reference and stating fake things/trolling.
11285  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] LBC accounts and BTCT accounts on: June 29, 2015, 01:47:53 PM
How much would you pay for a Jr member?

Think the going rate is about .04? I could be wrong, my first time buying a account
A Jr. only worth 0.005-0.01. What is your budget on the account? You can get a Sr. for 0.2BTC. Also, by 0.04BTC you could get a low quality Full Member (which normally worth 0.05) or a high activity Member.
11286  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.017btc no collateral on: June 29, 2015, 01:34:21 PM
Someone have marked your account as purchased/hacked/stolen. Also as of your rank, it is not worth for someone to risk 0.017 because the depreciation of the account due to negative trust don't go to that amount. However when you're a Sr. Member, then the depreciation reaches that amount (assuming that the account haven't been marked as purchased/hacked/stolen). I have loaned 0.015 here with no collateral successfully only by offering a 33% interest. Also as your account have a 'Untrusted' negative feedback (not DefaultTrust), even if you offering this as collateral, myself won't lend you 0.017 because it don't worth the risk.
11287  Other / Meta / Re: 2FA for more security in bitcointalk forum on: June 29, 2015, 01:27:21 PM
I like this idea, I use 2FA on many sites, very easy, quick and an extra layer of security.
I used to refuse any site that requires me to make a 2FA security setting, because I'm using the sites on my phone while I need to scan the QR code also using my phone... Until a site which force me to add 2FA, so I've been started to use the secret key option of the app (while I don't have to scan the QR code).

BTW, will the forum start the 2FA with the QR code one, or the forum will give the username+secret key to us to input?
11288  Other / Meta / Re: Changing avatar not available?! on: June 29, 2015, 01:24:23 PM
After you reached the Full Member rank, go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=avatar and you can add/change your avatar. However if someone lower than Full Member enter that page, it will show up an error.
11289  Economy / Gambling / Re: ToTheMoon.me | Bitcoin Gambling with Social Component | Faucet | Rakeback on: June 29, 2015, 01:11:14 PM
A good site and I've just joined the giveaway and wagered some. Cool design and a brand-new feature that other sites don't give. However could the mobile optimization be done faster? I often visit sites from my mobile so I really need these.
Thanks!

Still life?

Username: el-kaka22

BTW I can't click on the faucet tab of your site on my phone. Please fix it.
11291  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: GET 2000 SATOSHI EVRY 5 MINUTS on: June 29, 2015, 11:17:12 AM
Balance: 5 satoshi
The site will go bankrupt because the ad incomes don't cover the payout (minimum 400 satoshi/claim).
I've argued on such high payment here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1100665.msg11734638#msg11734638 (the minimum payout of that faucet was also 400, but now it is 200 - they also can't afford the high payout for a long time)
So this and any high payout faucets are just temporary and the payouts will go low soon unless they have another method to generate money.
11292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy Bitcoin on: June 29, 2015, 11:10:53 AM
Or you can do a trade here (at 'Currency Exchange' board) using PayPal or other online wallet (however you must use a escrow as no one will trust a newbie due to previous scamd). Also, you may make a meetup at 'Meetups' board, and you'll probably find some bitcoiner from Pakistan. They have bitcoin and they may sell them to you.
11293  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: June 29, 2015, 10:49:56 AM
can someone rate my account?
i would like to know ho much worth it is?
i dont mind to sell it.
i'm just interested
Your account's previous post is not at high quality, thet are just of low/medium quality so it is worth 0.12BTC as previous stated. However if you wait till next Tuesday (7th July), your account will become a Senior and it will worth 0.2BTC even if the post quality is low. Good luck to your sales.
11294  Other / Meta / Re: How to change Display name on: June 28, 2015, 02:16:03 PM
This option will be nice when people trade accounts, maybe they want to personalize it as they want, but one thing will be good to have username history. btw 10BTC is to much for now i think;
Nope, the price of 10 BTC is set since 2011, at that point price of BTC is still low. So that time people need to donate 10/50 BTC to get the corresponding rank. And the amount remains the same because to be fair to the early donors and to appreciate their early adoption, as being one of the first users of bitcoin.
11295  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: need a jr.member account on: June 28, 2015, 01:53:00 PM
Thank you for the account  Smiley
whether you still need it? I have and I will offer to you 0.01BTC. whether feasible 0.01BTC to jr.member?
lol are you kidding mate..I can have a member account on that price or maybe if i added 0.005btc more then I can have a member account for sure..and by the way i already got the account from MarkMJ so now I am locking this thread
are you say u can get member with 0.01BTC
sure ?? that very cheap member Acc yesterday i sell member at rate 0.05BTC  Grin
How could you sell a Member at 0.05? That price could buy a low ranked (like 126/140 activity) Full Member. Members could go to that price only if it have something special, like high quality posts or positive trust.
Thank you for the account  Smiley

Wait, when I quote this again it appears like this... You are editing your post when I was typing?
11296  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scrypt.cc is provably lying about their 850GH/s Scrypt mining on: June 28, 2015, 01:33:27 PM
So, scrypt.cc is just a ponzi which goes very popular, so their fake KHS sales is at a very high volume that is even bigger than the current biggest pool... They maybe just intended to scam small from some users, however they didn't expect that the site goes very popular... That is, they may wanted to sell just 1 GHS for 20000 satoshi per KHS or above (that price was the KHS price there when I first joined scrypt.cc), for a total of 200 BTC, however they found this popular and hence dump more and more KHS to the market, by this estimation they may have scammed over 1000 BTC (deducted the amount that they paid as 'mining income').
11297  Other / Meta / Re: How to change Display name on: June 28, 2015, 12:16:34 PM
You can work hard and make a great contribution to the community. Then one day can you perhaps become staff, they are (afaik) allowed to change their name.

Yes, Mitchell[1] was bitcoininformation before he became staff.

[1] with those two polish "l"'s
Yes he is. There is another person quoting his post when he was 'bitcoininformation', see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195195.msg2079213#msg2079213
However when we quote his post now, it will become 'Mitchełł' now.
So if OP changed his name and our old quotes will be the evidence that OP was 'joyjeet' Smiley

payout every 10 minute  Wink

Not true.

Quote
Payout every 60 minutes

Oh and only up to 150 satoshi..
Haha thats true..

Payout every 60 minutes
150 satoshi (20%)
120 satoshi (20%)
100 satoshi (60%)

and the title is a big liar Sad

all is in the tittle  Angry
Ouch, they have decreased their payout due to unprofitability... I have claimed 400 satoshis from there for few times before. However the revenue they could generate from ads can't cover that amount... Normally we could not earn $1 per 1k visitors, and the sites paying more than that could generate coins some where else... (like freebitco.in paying $0.002, however they have bitcoin multiplier that users could lose coins there)
11299  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: June 28, 2015, 09:37:54 AM
Member : 0.01BTC - 0.07BTC
Full Member : 0.1 - 0.3BTC
Wow, Full Member don't worth 0.3 BTC, those are just asking price. The actual price for Full is up to 0.15, but don't exceed 0.2, because by that price we could even buy a Sr. Member! Also 0.07 for Member is also too high (same reason as above), as it could buy a Full Member.
11300  Other / Meta / Re: How to change Display name on: June 28, 2015, 09:35:20 AM
Thanks for the reply

I just checked it says I have to donate 10 btc for donator and 50 btc for vip member, well to be frank those are huge for me as of now
So wanted to knw if I close my account and make a new account with the same email id as used in this account - in that case I can make a new account with a new display name and keep my email id same.

How is that possible pls guide

Well, some vips back then had btc worth less than 10 bucks. At that time, it was easily worth trading 10 bitcoins or 50. Back in 2010, you could buy over 1k bitcoins for a dollar.

Back then 10 btc used to pay for a month of hosting (as per the thread linked). Now it should be about 0.1 to 0.5.. Im assuming hosting for this forum works out to be $100 per month. Correct me if I'm wrong.
By https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html, Private Internet Access, which is stated at the bottom of the forum, is providing free hosting to the forum. So donating BTC for hosting is meaningless now...
