All Gigabyte models?Aorus are quite good, have 54 of them never had an issue, but the Gaming OC models had to replace all the fans at least once for all 6 of them over 2,5 years of mining.

They are talking 3080’s...you dont have any of those
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TOTAL FREE Linux OS ready to Mine using Claymore, PM, etc. on: November 09, 2020, 01:43:55 PM
Ive found using miner-manager script i can keep current version of miners.  As for Claymore if a new version doesnt come out ill move them to another miner software.  4gb cards will be able to mine ETC due to dag reduction so may squeeze more life out of them yet,
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for FPGA mining information on: November 09, 2020, 01:39:10 PM
You wont get much Fpga for $100 or less.
The best choices are the FPGA with HBM memory built  into them 8 or 16gb units.
These sre going to run many times what your current budget is.
Anything less is only good for compute heavy algos that are already saturated.
The memory hard stuff is where they shine.

Understand without bitstreams for your specific FPGA they do nothing.  Bitstreams are the critical bit needed to make them work.  Do you research before jumping in.  I would say you are looking at $700- $4000 depending on how powerful and size of unit.

guys.

all 4gb cards can't mining anymore

Mine are all running just fine...on eth...on linux...30 some odd 4gb 570s
Mine rigs are on 5.0e and one is 5.1c.

So appears soon i will need to update the miner.

Linux ETH can mine till when ?

No idea.... watching one of the rigs now.  4 x 570x4gb 2x570x8gb (they are gpu 5/6 in the rig) is hashing happily away on 5.0e and doing (30.273/31.131/31.130/31.120/29.925/29.929mh) with volt set to 825 on each and 1145 cor 2100 mem....

I dont usually update miner unless problem or major improvement.

You can always tell the pioneers....by the arrows in their backs.

nice one.

anti-native but gets the point across.

btw I was lucky I had three in my cart on different days and try as I might I could not pull the trigger fast enough.

Being a native myself i dont see it as anti-native....more along the Dont Tread On Me type saying...that makes a perfect paroble of modern technology.  An who hasnt as an enthusiast jumped in and gotten bitten so to speak.

Wisdom comes right after you need it, if you are willing to listen.

Ive slowly migrating to MMPOS...it is a pay per month.  I dont think we will see an Ethos type pay once type OS especially one that lasted so long.   I like the folks behind MMPos and am impressed with the performance level.  Ive tried Hive, SMos and a fw others.  Ive even got a couple windows and straight ubuntu systems.

Ive made do with Miner-manager script for Ethos to side load new miners.  And even loaded cpu miners onto the systems and a few small FPGA boards.  One of the other reasons im partial to MMPOS is they support all of that.  Smiley

Looks like 2021 will require a lot of changes.  Figure ill ride out the 4gb eth before resorting rigs because currently most are mixed 4/8gb gpus.  Ive mapped it out on paper,..now just a matter of end of december forcing it.

And one last comment why mmpos won me over...no issue with mixed rigs.  (amd/nvidia)

/sorry if rambling been changing a dump valve on a waste water system and friggen beat.....
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Have anyone received their Z15 Asic miners July batch? on: November 08, 2020, 06:33:47 PM
Ive ordered ASCIS from Bitmain...there is no indirect.  You either order from them or you are dealing with a 3rd party.

If you paid cmc and they didnt eliver your problem is with them. The units Bitmain sells shipped.  You even have a poster confirming this and that Bitmain provided coupons for later than scheduled delivery.  Because thats what Bitmain does.  Why CMC doesnt have your unit or refund is between you and them.   But thats the part that is the problem.

From Bitmains own site regarding buying Bitmain gear. Bullet Point #1

Sorry about your trouble.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Have anyone received their Z15 Asic miners July batch? on: November 08, 2020, 04:30:29 PM
so I can assume we are being scammed by coinminingcentral.com? they are blaming bitmain for delays but maybe they already got it and mine on them or what... oh my god, what is going on.. one thing I know I will never again order a miner from Bitmain

You did NOT order from Bitmain...so how can you never again order a miner from Bitmain....YOU NEVER DID.

You ordered from some website that isnt Bitmain.  Maybe focus your ire at coinminingcentral.com.   You could easily have ordered from Bitmain, but didnt.

1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A new CPU mineable coin - Hacash (HAC) on: November 07, 2020, 02:32:48 PM
Well everywhere i can find HAC it is Hackspace Capital.  Yobit lists HAC but it is the Hackspace Capital not this coin.

So is this coin actually on an exchange?

Trying to get fundimentals and trade volume data but cannot find it on any of the coin sites (gecko, cmc etc).
Can you link anyplace it shows this data?
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TOTAL FREE Linux OS ready to Mine using Claymore, PM, etc. on: November 07, 2020, 01:12:28 AM
No it may be some hacked version or whatever but Ethos is only available from gpushack.com legally.  But if you are going to buy a license look at more modern oses.  I am still a 25+ rigs on ethos....i have 60 total...but old rigs are long since roi’d and gone.
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Minergate XMR withdraw to extrenal address not supported? on: November 06, 2020, 11:05:51 PM
Oh man.  That place....not a good place for miners.  You will get them but you will pay high fees and hassle.  Probably will have to send out to Freewallet or some other high fee wallet.  I mine only at pools that pay direct to my wallet....if you dont have the keys to the wallet then you dont actually own the coins.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: November 06, 2020, 10:06:18 PM
@jstefanop

My Apollo was shutting down on its own and on visual inspection I found this capacitor(?) hanging on by a thread, just touching it took it off the rest of the way with a sad crunch. :/

Any ideas on what happened or how I can try and get it fixed?

Update: I opened the case to take a look and it is identified as slot C268 on the board. Idk if you are offering repairs on these, if I can get the specs or a link to purchase a replacement I can try and solder a new part back in.

Bump

Woh never seen that happen. Thats an aluminum cap that looks like it was defective. Shoot me a DM well take care of it.

It is 2020, another capacitor plague would not surprise anyone in the slightest.

If you look at the picture the lower right power plug is discolored from either arcing or from thermal stress.  This may be the issue with the cap losing it.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner-MULTI AMD & CPU Miner 0.5.5 - Ethash devfee only 0.65% on: November 06, 2020, 10:02:15 PM
Hello,

I'm mining XHV (SRBMiner-Multi-0-5-5) with MacPro dual Xeon X5680 12C/24T + AMD Vega 64 8Gb (GPU0 : radeon_rx_vega [gfx900][8176 MB][CU: 64][BUS:07]
Pool is haven.herominers.com

CPU mining with 20T is ok : 240-250 H/s

but I can't figure out why gpu tweaking is disabled (Tweaking disabled - no supported devices found) even with --gpu-tweak-profile 5 option

with --gpu-autotune 1 I get --gpu-intensity 1040+624 --gpu-worksize 8 and 1600-1700 H/s wich isn't bad but I though I could reach 2000-2200 H/s with a Vega 64

I tried other intensity and weird thing happen : with --gpu-intensity 1200+1200, I get 24 MH/s!! (but the pool only display 250 H/s)

Question is how can I enable gpu_tweaking and how do I change my setting to get the most of my Vega 64 ??

Other question is : why pool (herominers) doesn't display same hash as in SBRminer ? I have another pc mining XHV under XMRig and the hash is the same beween pc and pool

Generally the Apple version of the gpus is tweaked enough to not be fully supported by any miner i know of.  The gpu version apple uses is unique to Apple.  Check and see as i have seen many miners producing invalid or incorrect shares when on the mac especially when using the gpus.  On my Mac Pro i was able at one point to mine but about 25% of the shares were invalid due to some incompatibility with miner/GPU.

I don't think that the problem comes from my gpu : it is not an Apple version of the Vega 64, it's an and I'm running it under Windows 10.
I mine w/o problem ETH at 40MH/s and RVN at 25 MH/s as well

Ah understand now.  Sorry my iMac Pro had this in built in Radeon Pro Vega 64 with 16GB of HBM2 memory   i could make it mine under linux / mac osx but would get about 25% reject due to something unique as only apple can do.

1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH 2.0? wOOt -_- on: November 06, 2020, 06:28:11 PM
im not going to lock ~15000$ for 1 year. No thanks ETH2

Then dont no one is forcing you too.  But you do get to enjoy the price bump from it for now.

Hi guys!
Need help for dual mining.

rig with rx 480 8G

I am mining ETH
Is it possible to mine extra coin? (SIA, DCR or other coin)
If so, can you help with a command line?

Thanks.

These days it costs more in ETH earnings to dual mine then it is to just straight mine ETH.
All my rigs are on straight ETH.

i cant mine eth on lolminer "all versions" on hiveos
every time i try to run lolminer with hiveos
it says "--coin ethash is not supported / --coin etchash is not supported "
can any one here help me Huh?

You can do
--coin ETC
or
--algo ETCHASH
Not ETCHASH but ETHASH

Yes correct.  Saw the last part of the error and brain blanked 🤪
