1141  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM WARNING] TheTopSpotOnline Plagiarized Whitepaper on: April 19, 2023, 11:02:50 PM
This is the most common alibi and I just make it clear if ever they are going to post something like this, developers are actually hiring freelancers to do this job and are being offered on freelance sites like Fiverr, you give them the general idea of what the project and platform will be and they approve it once the work is done, but unfortunately these past developers are not good in doing their research if the work of the freelancer is a plagiarized one.

On this one, I don't think they can come out with a better alibi, these bounty hunters should stop doing tasks for this scam project.

If they can't produce their own white paper, you can understand how lazy are they whom can't even write or produce their own white paper. I feel sorry for the people who invest in such projects without any due diligence.

With the market trending positive, the number of such projects coming to market has increased. Since many investors are now in the market, such projects are quickly created and marketed to crypto investors by explaining various things to them.
But the reality is that the project team does not have the ability to write an original white paper. Therefore, the purpose of creating such a project is to quickly launch it in the market to attract investors.

Why do we see so new scam projects popping up every day ? This is because most of the crypto investors are so dumb that they will not even care to investigate about the project.  Huh  Scammers know this very well and they keep on coming up with new projects every now and then, to get people's hard earn money from this immature market.
1142  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: April 19, 2023, 10:44:19 PM
What governments can do to make it more equitable?

The government do not want this wealth to be distributed evenly. They want the wealth to be with them so that they may control the people. That is another reason why government oppose bitcoin and promote fiat because through bitcoin the wealth can be distributed evenly.

After a very long time, this is the first time I encountered again the Pareto rule. The best thing that the government can do is to do their job and provide jobs. They should be held accountable for every decision they make for the country. Because when jobs and equal opportunities are provided to the people, things start to work out.

How unfair is this that government to provide jobs to its people while the people in the government or at the higher authorities' positions can get free money by just printing the money. Inflation makes the rich richer while the poor poorer. This injustice cannot be stopped with the fiat monetary system.
1143  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wondering how much my account is worth ? on: April 19, 2023, 10:19:26 PM
I just noticed that people were selling their bitcointalk account here
And I am wondering how much mine would be worth  Huh
It is almost 10 years old !
All those people who are selling their accounts are lazy people who cannot make good post to be accepted in Btc service signature compaign. It's not worth how old your account is but your rank will be considered because most of buyer only buy accounts because of joining signature compaign purpose. I think if someone as a full member just join bounties signature, its more profitable than selling account cheaply .

This is also another point worth mentioning. If you cannot grow your account, buying a high ranked account won't help as you will not get merits because you won't be posting anything constructive. Also, these days, only being high rank account does not grantee you a spot in signature campaigns, you need to be good in writing too.

I continue the btt account, so it is more valuable than anything.

Yeah, until you sell it and it get noticed / flagged, the most valuable thing becomes the most useless thing especially for the buyer of that account.
1144  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet hacked, all funds stolen on: April 18, 2023, 11:31:55 PM
I just read this thread and it's very unfortunate. I used coinomi wallet although i don't store large funds there but i have never been hacked even on other wallets that is "closed-source" i used and currently using.
So in this case the problem i only see is the users' device, or the way or where the backup seed is saved.

The problem is most probably with the user's carelessness and then blaming the Coinomi wallet not build upto the standard.
No matter the wallet is closed source or open source, we need to know the basis on how to keep our wallet safe and unfortunately most people in the crypto world don't know the basics.

A properly airgapped computer has no internet access or contact with anything else that does. Everything you do remains in that local (much harder to penetrate) environment.
You are correct, but to properly set up an arigapped wallet in a completely safe enviroment is hard for newbies to do, and they can easily mess up and lose their funds, hardware wallets are easier for them to use correctly. I have even seen someone suggesting using an airgapped computer that is only connected to the internet once in a while Roll Eyes, once connected to the internet it really isn't airgapped anymore, so on that note i think there is more work to be done generating and using an airgapped wallet than a hardware wallet.

For newbies, even a hardware wallet may not be suitable unless they know how to use it. The best bet for the Newbies is to use a centralized exchange and / or centralized wallet which is controlled by the password and 2fa. Newbies know this stuff and until they learn about the seed phrases, wallets, and stuff the best option would be the centralized wallets.
1145  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: You should write two copies of your seed phrase. on: April 18, 2023, 09:14:47 PM
Hear me out guys.

Paper can be really fragile, and all it takes is a tear or water spill or defacing to deny you access to your BTC forever.

So, you should make a second copy of your seed phrase that is identical to the first, and store it on a different place from the first seed so that they both cannot go down together except in extreme circumstances like a natural disaster.

To tell you the truth, i have written my seed phrases in a small copy and stored in a safe place. Now after reading your post, i have two copies of my seed phrases.

I wonder how many people acted on it, after reading this post:Smiley

is remembering 12 words that hard?

It's not hard, it's almost impossible to remember if you have more than one wallet. Also, Seed phrases are not limited to Bitcoin wallet, you may have Meta Mask for Ethereum and other wallets like trust wallet, etc too and it won't be easy to memorize each and every seed phrase.
1146  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 18, 2023, 08:47:11 PM
Can you make bets on horses that are AI vs making bets on real horses?

I prefer to bet on real horses because it's more enjoyable for me. However, some people like to bet on new games and there is something called AI that is not new in the market. If we can learn and enjoy it, why not try it? But I would still limit my bet, as betting on real horses is different from betting on horses generated only by a computer.

My question is that will the game of AI horses will become so popular that people will start betting on it ? The AI horses are basically run by the machine with no human intervention and the horses programmed efficiently will always have more chances to win. And by the way, since its, not a physical game, you can replace the horses with any object like cars etc  Huh

And I agree that there may be no comparison to watching and betting on real horses than to bet on these so-called "Programmed AI Horses."
1147  Economy / Services / Re: I sell videos from a third world country; I receive BITCOIN on: April 18, 2023, 03:25:38 PM
Well, with the deferncia of exchange 2 usd for the first world is actually derisory, for a third world country it is good for sweets.
As I mentioned in the title, I sell everyday videos of what it's like to live in a third world country.
What do I offer? Get to know videos about guerrilla warfare, harassment, indigenous cultures, rains, floods, traffic, culture and how economic exchange is.
I do not provide personal information.

My country is so third world that coffee is sold on the street, a cart and what to sell its price is from 0.1 to 0.2 usd...I have more data and videos

The idea is good, but the problem is that there are vlogs channels from almost every country available on youtube. You search for a place and you will get a vlog for that country. I don't think how you can produce a video that may give a lot of views unless someone really needs them for documentary purposes.

The reason is that you users ask anything about my country.

First things first, may we know which country you from ?

1151  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: April 12, 2023, 11:44:20 PM
What will it take for people to wake up and just withdraw their coins to their own wallet?
Logical answer would be "they will definitely learn their lesson once they lose their money on one of those platforms" but then again I know some people that have money stuck on both Celsius and FTX and still hold considerable amount of crypto on Binance.

This shows that people will never learn from their previous experiences or is it only the crypto investors who again what to risk their money by putting it on the exchange?

People just trust and believe on binance too much that they still think that Binance is too big to scam exit but they do not know that most exchanges will scam us when they are at their peak as at that time no one can even imagine that they can scam.

I do not know that binance is the next one to scam exit or if they may continue for a few more years and never scam but the point is that we should not trust any exchange and should know that any money of us in the centralized exchange is not safe.
1152  Other / Off-topic / Re: Prepare for the life when you get old on: April 12, 2023, 11:19:35 PM
A wise man said we should learn lessons from the ants, that as small as they are, they know it well to use the dry season to store up food in their holes, in preparation for the rainy season when they won't be able to leave their holes.
It is an important lesson for us to learn, it explains how important it is for us to chase the dark colored goat while it's day, for darkness comes when we won't be able to see the dark colored goat due to it been covered by the darkness..

Best time to hustle, invest and save up is while we are young, for in old age, doing those things will become very difficult, so it is indeed a good advice for us to prepare for the old version of ourselves now that we are young, for it is surely coming.

a very simple story but will give a very valuable lesson in life. i guess, everyone knows such story, however, not all of us is taking that seriously and live with it.
each one of us has our own way of attacking this situation as we have different financial capabilities. but it all boils down to the fact that no matter how small we can keep for our future will always be worthwhile in the future.

And do you know that Bitcoin has made it even more easier to save our future when we are old? All we need is to keep on accumulating bitcoin for the time when we are old and can no longer work and earn money. The investment in bitcoin will grow automatically as the price of bitcoin always increases over a long period of time.

Unlike people who gather fiat money and its value keeps on depreciating over time because of inflation and excessive note printing, the value of bitcoin always increases with limited fixed supply and no chance of inflation.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 12, 2023, 10:27:44 PM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?
when you place a bet on a casino's platform and it turns out on the losing side, where does the funds goes??
I thought as much...

If the where no profit in the casino business, they'll be little or no casino out there.

Well, when you lose a gambling game all the money goes to the gambling site and in case you win the gambling houses give you the winning amount. The point to note is that gambling games are not peer to peer games, hence any money lost is a direct profit for the gambling site.
So in order for anyone to run a casino, they need initial funds to pay out the winners but as the casino grows more and more people will lose money and then there won't be a problem for the gambling casino to pay to the winners as they would be collecting huge amounts from people who lose in gambling.

Your BTT account is a gem you should keep for yourself and I am sure you will be happy you did because years from now you will browse through you comments/posts and laugh out loud. No money paid for it will ever replace that joy especially since you don't seem to be using your account for signature campaigns.

I would just say one thing to everyone who are willing to sell their accounts. No matter how high the rank you have as long as you do not sell it, it is worth any amount but as soon as you sell it, it will be worth zero. The reason i am saying this because sooner or later, people will know that it is a sold / bought account, and it will be tagged making it worthless. So better never sell your account and keep it with you even if you are not active on this forum.
1155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: April 11, 2023, 11:33:15 PM
^It's because there are rumors that the FEDS might cut the rate hike or a report might be published indicating that inflation dropping.

And if this is true, then it will be a respite to all markets, traditional and crypto and make a huge price increase. The spike right now is just a respond to this news. So imagine what will be the gains if CPI next week will be positive. I will speculate that we might be looking at least $31k tops with this latest bull run that we are going to see.

Yea, it will be good for the crypto market as a whole but I have a gut feeling that bitcoin might touch 25K again very soon. The main reason for my argument is that it's been a long time since Bitcoin price is not dumped and secondly, there are a few CME gaps below which need to be filled.

Bitcoin price has been on the rise ever since it has crossed 20K and we are yet to see a major pullback. Yes, there were times of consolidation, but a pullback is needed for a healthy and sustainable move.
1156  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another mixer with chips? on: April 11, 2023, 11:10:19 PM
Even if you somehow encounter a similar mixer, the chances are very high that your are going to get scammed by them. Chipmixer had years of experience and reputation. A random mixer will never have the same amount of trust unless it proves itself first. And even though all the reputation CM had, people still discuss if CM were logging their users or not because of the 7tb seized data by the FBI. Are you going to trust another crypto mixer so blindly after what happened?

No doubt chipmixer was trustable and it was providing the best mixing services for so long until seized by the authorities. Right now people are missing the services of chip mixers, even though there are many mixers services out there.

That's why you say that it's a group of mixers, that's a bit worrying because you don't know that it's a group of scammers just trying to bite you with nice words, so be careful, friend.

For sure, we should not trust any mixing service blindly as many are popping up after the chipmixer closure. I would not use any service unless and until I have some good feedback about it.

If you use it more than once, it is possible you receive your own coins again.

It does not matter if we receive our own coins back as there is no one's name written on any coin. The main purpose is to mix the coins so that the coin we received is not traceable.  Smiley
1157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I think it's time to leave Binance, any alternatives? on: April 11, 2023, 10:40:42 PM
As we see, things aren't going well for Changpeng Zhao and more likely for Binance too, especially when it's becoming very clear that they are into very shady things: Binance employees are helping users in China to bypass KYC, directly violated U.S. derivatives laws, manipulates with trading volume and probably manipulates with Futures Trading too.

Decentralized exchanges are good alternatives if someone wants to feel safe and secure and in control of their funds but they lack a lot of features compared to centralized ones. For example, Binance has features like: Futures trading, options, leveraged tokens, swap farming, DeFi Stacking, Liquidity Farming, Launchpad and so on. These features attract a lot of users but p2p exchanges lack them. So, there are people who choose centralized exchanges because of that.

So, my question is, if Binance goes down, which centralized bitcoin exchange are you going to use? Personally, I think that Coinbase will become more popular because it's number two exchange by popularity at the moment and what makes it more attractive compared to Binance is that it's the San Francisco-based company, has been in business since 2012.

I do not think that we have any alternative to binance at this moment because there is no centralised exchange that can match the volume of binance at the moment. At one time, i thought that FTX was one of the exchange which may overcome binance in the future but Binance CEP CZ just removed that exchange and competition from the market, making Binance more than bigger than ever.

Yeah one can think of Coinbase or Kraken exchange, to be the best alternatives but we are looking for the Chinese exchanges that may lead in the market after Binance

I will still be using binance but make sure I only put trading funds on that site in case any mishap happens. I still do not trust dex as they still lag in volume, liquidity and more importantly they do not possess same level of service as the centralized exchanges.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NOVA88.IO | Nova88 CryptoSports | Decentralized Sports Betting | No KYC on: April 10, 2023, 10:50:36 AM
Welcome to the forum!
How trusted is the platform for connecting ones wallet to continue betting, and how safe would be your user wallet as well because i know this is where most people gets it wrongly all in the name of not involving their selves with kyc could make them gets into a higher risk by compromising their entire wallet. Just curious to know about this because there have been a lot happening around the crypto industry of lately and we need to put an end to those things.

That is why i will not connect my main wallet to this site until i hear some positive feedback about the site. Also, i would advise everyone to make a new wallet, deposit a small amount that they want to gamble and then connect that wallet to this site.

By the way, since your site is new, why not give some incentive or free money to the players who want to test your site and share their reviews or feedback? In this way, you will not only get the reviews but at the same time if any bug is identified you can fix it instantly.
Reviews campaigns are always helpful for newly introduced sites.
1159  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for feedback- Cryptocurrency price and listing alerts on: April 10, 2023, 09:57:35 AM
Hi everyone,

I wanted a simple to use, easily customizable alerting system for price alerts as well as alerts when new coins are listed on exchanges. That's why I built Bitomic.io .To access the price and listing alerts you can go to: https://bitomic.io/explore/  then select any coin and it should take you to the coin page. You can then scroll down to access alerts

Could you guys give me some useful feedback on how it can be improved before I actually launch the product on ProductHunt. I figured these cryptocurrency forums are the best place to ask for feedback as people who are actively involved in crypto are here. What features would you like in your own price alerting app?

Thanks in advance! (I am also new here so don't know the guidelines for asking for help on such a topic without sounding spammy. )

I am a bit confused here as when you go to  https://bitomic.io/explore/, you wil find all the stuff related to charts and price actions but if you go to https://bitomic.io/ it takes you to the page where we can join the waitlist. Now, what is that backtesting platform which you are going to launch? If it will be great if you can tell me something about it.

As far as the price alerts are concerned, they are useful. Also how about sending a sms alert too and/or developing a mobile app so the notification can be sent on the mobile screen about price alerts? It's not very convenient to open an email every time there is a price alert.
1160  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: April 10, 2023, 07:08:31 AM
A bot that makes sports betting predictions, according to the author of the first video, it seems to me that it may well be a useful tool that makes it easier for players to bet on a possible winner, because not everyone is deeply immersed in the events of different sports and an extra analysis will always be useful.

Ok let's get this straight. How can an AI bot predict a possible winner of the match? Of course, the bot will see the past data, analyze it and then predict the most probable winner.

Now the question is how the gambling sites give odds for a particular match. They also do the same thing, analyze which team is better and give fewer odds to the team they think is more strong and more favorable to win.

So in both the cases, AI and the gambling sites Odds, we cannot guarantee who will win. There is no way any prediction tool can predict the out of the match as in a match all players do not perform up to their full strength. Some players may under perform on a particular day and some may over perform and this thing cannot be taken into account by the AI. Also, there is no way the AI can predict the Upset in the match whereby the low performer team wins by showing better performance on a particular day.
