The administration of the site could also come in and play that game. I collected those satoshis for 6 months, and why did I play in dice, what senseless reasons, God.
Grin Are you serious about it! Your complaint is completely funny now. I'm using Freebitco for almost 7 years, but I have never faced such issue. Why the administrator of Freebitco will play the multiply BTC game with your account balance? Perhaps, you or someone from your home have accessed Freebitco from your device and played the multiply BTC game. You aren't admitting it.

Perhaps, since he had collected it for 6 months and decided to try his luck in a game of dice, losing made him stubborn enough to deny the fact that he actually lost it gambling.
We have seen such people in the past who completely denied that they gambled and lost the money themselves and were here to debate with TheQuin.

Is it just me or the font color of the text in the image is actually blurry. I mean we have to pay more attention to it to see it clearly.
It would have been more easier if the font color was black rather than grey.
If @bitmover could do this change it would be great.

Great efforts though. Congratulations.

CSK wins the toss and choses to bat first. CSK is taking it slow at the the current run rate and has hit 65 runs in 9 overs.
I think CSK will win this match even at this run rate. What do you guys think ?
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 14, 2023, 02:40:03 PM
“Sabong” or the placing of bets on live cockfighting is an established tradition in the Philippines that dates as early as three thousand (3,000) years ago. The gaming activity is essentially placing two roosters/cocks in an arena and betting on which between the two comes out victorious.

I do not think it is what they even accept as gambling is Philippines by some people. But if it is accepted as gambling, it is stated in the news that it was legal before when the man was involved in it.

If the government legalize gambling, anyone can be involved in gambling. But countries will have their own rules about government officials to be involved in gambling or not.

If sabong is cock fighting then with e-sabong I think they are putting the cock fight online
That must be funny though, watching cocks fighting online. LOL.

I did a search and found it's actually real. There are 2 e-sabong which shows cock fights and accepts bets on those.

1145  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 14, 2023, 01:57:10 PM
This is very accurate. Newbies and I will suggest Jr.member also should be restricted from posting in Lending section.
Just 2 days back I went to Lending board to see how it works because even I wanted to start lending out money but I was disappointed.

All I could see was newbies asking for loans and getting tagged in return. It was all that I could see and no real benefits from lending.
If newbies can get away with it so easily by creating new accounts then there's no point for them to make posts in the section at first place.

If there were more real lending posts out there then it would have interested not only me but many others.
Further more, moderators would have to spend lest time moderating this section.
1146  Other / Meta / Re: [Script] Imgur to TalkImg - automatically fix your broken images on: May 14, 2023, 01:34:16 PM
Thanks for this work around.  How do I set a specific folder for these legacy images?

I decided to go ahead and get things started.  I swapped out the API for the one I have on my account.  After 185 pages without any activity, this happened:

...and the script stopped.

How did you get the API key ?

I tried to search for it on the site and even tried to register but couldn't see any options for it anywhere on the site.
I tried running the script in OP but it didn't change any of the images although the script completed without any errors.
So I thought of registering on the site and using it's API and then try running the script.

PBKS has set a target of 168 runs for Delhi Capitals. I think they could have done better but lost 7 wickets through 20 overs.
I must say Prabhsimran lead his team to the score with 103 runs in 65 balls. Very well played.
Let's see how Delhi Capitals perform and if they are able to beat the score.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 13, 2023, 03:47:32 PM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue

Self awareness to getting addicted should be the main advice. Every gambler should pay attention on his gambling habits.
If at any point the gambler does something what he had not planned on to do then the chances are higher that he is slowly getting addicted to gambling.
For example: Playing more than the allocated time for gambling or increasing the budget for gambling out of the blue are some incidents to know your gambling addiction has increased.
1149  Other / Meta / Re: Imgur images suddenly became invalid? on: May 13, 2023, 03:11:38 PM
Sadly many secondary images on other posts will be lost forever... But I can't go on each of them recovering the images manually. Sad
Allow me to quote myself here:
It would be really cool if someone could write a program to move all of the imgur images to talkimg instead.  I guess that would require superuser access to the board though.
I'm currently downloading about 800,000 images from imgur, using 3 4 servers (and 1 second delay between requests). According to logfiles, I have 3 days, which won't be enough. If I get a substantial number of pictures, and if joker_josue wants to deal with ~200GB, I'll ask if theymos can update all imgur-links to talkimg.com. It would be nice if the forum doesn't lose that many images.
Server #4 is downloading without a delay in between requests, and is currently downloading 9400 images per hour. I only have unedited imgur-links, and some are messed up (for now), but at this rate, I'll manage to preserve most images before they're deleted forever.
Restoring the images is beyond my powers, but at least it won't be gone.

Is there anything we could do to help you achieve this faster. If all of us work together on this we can download all the images in a day or may be less.
Unity is the key. We would just need a way to connect our device to the internet so that we can increase the processing power to download more images in parallel.
If not if we can contribute by sharing our computation power like how miners use a mining pool then may be can download all those images faster.
1150  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of such ads on Instagram & Facebook! on: May 13, 2023, 02:53:57 PM
As I have mentioned in my previous post HERE that I have seen this many times on Instagram, I cam across it today too.
This time I paid more attention to it. What was really frustrating is that the ad was a sponsored ad.
Basically, Instagram is really careless with what ads they are allowing for users to promote.
This a huge concern because we don't know what will other users promote. It might end up scamming many.
I have done my due diligence of reporting the ad though and request the same if any of you guys see such ads then just report them.

1151  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 13, 2023, 02:07:01 PM
Snip~
So the bottom line is, invest what you can afford to lose in Bitcoin and other investments because the risk associated with investment is not only limited to Bitcoin alone but all other assets and investments.

Let me tell you a real-life story, I have a friend from whom I received the same amount as payment for our overtime travel work sometime last year 2022, and when we wanted to invest the money, he optioned into real estate because he feel it more secure and profitable than bitcoin, but I used my whole allowance and travel payment to buy more bitcoin.

At that time, the Bitcoin price was around 17k, but now, while my friend in real estate is waiting for tenants to rent his apartments, my own Bitcoin investment is already yielding of about 10 percent.

Considering the current price your investment in bitcoin should be yielding 50% and not 10%.
Choosing the investment option is all about belief. Your friend believes more in real estate and it's his choice.
Also, if he would have already invested in bitcoin and then chosen real estate even then it's not a bad choice because that way he is diversifying his portfolio.
Diversification is a good thing too.

Now that he has an apartment to rent he can get that rent and invest in bitcoin periodically.
That way he would be able to DCA his bitcoin investment and gain further more profits while owning an apartment.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Results of U.S. debt default on: May 12, 2023, 04:52:56 PM
If the U.S. goes into default on its debts, what do you expect the reaction will be in the BTC world?
What about other crypto currencies?
My naive view is that BTC and other currencies should gain value.

US can simply print more money out of thin air and repay the debt and it as simple as that for them.
But they won't do so because it will burn their economy due to very high inflation and interest hikes.
They will probably do it slowly and gradually decrease their debts. Fiat will not be more sustainable at one point and I hope it comes soon.
We are so in need of alternate financial system. Crypto has so much room to grow and needs to mature before we can finally use it as an alternative.

I miss those telegram scammers. They are a great pass time for me. I used to troll them for fun.
Whenever I message in any telegram group there are multiple people contacting me impersonating as moderators.
There were few ladies too who were fun to troll  Grin Poor guys don't even know how mining works yet try to explain me how mining easily generates lot of income.
1154  Local / India / Re: Can you Save Tax through Crypto Donation under Section 80G on: May 12, 2023, 04:25:13 PM
I doubt it! My understanding here is that the source of your earning makes it harder. Since your source of earning is from crypto you would incurr a flat highest tax slab. I would prefer to talk to a CA or an expert in this matter. The person who can answer your question is @webtricks. I hope he can share some of his experience with regards to Section 80G. By the way if this works then it is a loophole within the tax system.

Yeah! Rather waiting for webtricks I would suggest checking it with someone who knows or has good knowledge with tax as I did. My intention for posting this topic on our local board was to create awareness. It is better to do your own research rather wait for someone to reply.

If you have found an answer similar to mine or different then do reply to this thread as I am trying to find an answer here.

It's good that you have made this post for awareness and it is serving the purpose.
From my personal perspective, I think converting crypto to INR would incur 30% flat tax as announced by the government.
After that, you should be able to donate the INR to a charitable organization and you should be able to claim tax benefits on that.

Further more, not all relief funds are subject to deductions. There's a list of funds which has no deductions, 50% deductions and 100% deduction.
The full list can be found in the link at bottom of this post. It also mentions that mode of payments are only cheque, demand draft or cash if the amount is less than 2000.

Wow guys, did not think I would see BTC go down this low again, but it has. I thought now US isn't going to raise interest rates things go back to normal plus there is worry of recession.

On the other hand nice to collect more satoshis, and I might get tempted to exchange my 2000 WOF spins if we see 10/11 satoshi again per spin hehe.

2000 WoF spins is a great number of spins to accumulate. I wonder how much time did it take you to accumulate that many spins.
Now is a good time to monitor the market and claim the spins. If not all then you should consider spinning at least some of them.
If the price goes further down then you claim few more. like DCA lol. The only issue is we just have the option of spin one and spin all.
There should have been an option to customize the number of spins so that we could enter the number of spins we want to spin.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: May 12, 2023, 03:47:39 PM
Match fixing in soccer ? It's the first time I am hearing that because from what I knew, soccer players already get paid enough and so they don't require match fixing.
I have heard about match fixing in all other games but not in soccer. Everyone involved in these match fixing should be punished.
In my country there were few cricketers involved in match fixing and got caught and were banned from playing cricket again.
Their sports career came to an end and similar punishment should be given to those soccer players involved in match fixing.
If you're really serious then you really are like a kid in this story. It's not a strange thing, it's almost a reality in places where football doesn't have too much influence. The larger the event, the higher the price to pay for match-fixing, so it is easier for national football leagues to be settled. It's not strange to me, I've seen a whole team get banned because of this  Roll Eyes

May be because soccer/football is not so popular in my country which is why I haven't heard of match fixing in here.
I mostly watch FIFA and other leagues and I think the players are already paid enough and hence no match fixing allegations are against them.

1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sending bank statement for verification on: May 11, 2023, 05:04:49 PM
i registered at an online casino and my deposit was not arrived(in casiono) and i contact to their support and they said you need to wait for 10 business days for your refund.

10days are completed and i still didn't received my refund, and they told that "if you don't receive your refund in 10 days then you can contact us with your bank statement"

my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

I personally think there's no real harm if you send your account statement for verification purpose.
The important info it contains are not sufficient for anyone to break in to your bank account.
Besides that, many other companies ask for bank account statement for verification purposes.
So we can't be denying them all because of security reasons.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase on the defensive about these bitcoin ordinal centralized meme coins on: May 11, 2023, 04:28:56 PM
Very interesting how these tokens which have no utility or intrinsic value except to the one's holding it, has up ended the king of all crypto and has caused a flurry of problems for the over 14 year cryptocurrency.

It basically means that people are here just to make a quick profit and are ready to throw their money at anything to get a short profit.
They are just gambling with their money by investing in meme coins and don't care if the coin is having any utility or any intrinsic value.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 09, 2023, 04:56:44 PM

The transaction fee on Bitcoin is increasing day by day. It cost now 14$ for a low-priority transaction to 17$ for high priority transaction. I was planning to make a deposit today on my casino account until I notice the high fee on my electrum sent tab. The fee is almost 5% of my total bankroll that I was supposed to deposit. I decided to rest for now since I will be down immediately by 5% for a transaction that I don't know when will gonna be confirmed.

Is anyone still playing today with this high fee? I think those gamblers that leave funds in the casino are very happy that they didn't need to experience this fee drama.

You should just avoid depositing any coins for the time being while the fees are high.
These will get back to normal once the network congestion is decreased.
It's good to have some coins lying around on the site but I know that being a gambler we tend to gamble away the last penny in our account.
So lets just take a break for the time being and enjoy some fresh outside instead.
