1161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 dollars into a million on: September 27, 2017, 03:34:36 AM
The new currencies are popping up everwhere and some are successful and gaining more profits for some quicker and and alot more then bitcoin did for alot of people. It would be foolish not to shop around in these new currencies after witnessing the payday bitcoin presented.

This is the problem. The developers behind 99.99% of these currencies want to exploit the success of Bitcoin. If you look at the new coins, you can see that very few of them are having solid basics. All the devs want is to get a fat paycheck for themselves and their friends. Don't fall in to their trap.
1162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoin with BTC ? on: September 27, 2017, 03:32:44 AM
I no longer do BTC-alt trading. In the past, however I have tried my luck in it. I was doing BTC-LTC trading in BTC-e, and initially I was able to get good returns. But one bad day wiped out all the previous profits and put me in deep red. Stopped trading after that.
1163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable? on: September 27, 2017, 03:29:30 AM
My personal opinion is that holding Bitcoin is more profitable than altcoin trading. I have tried altcoin trading quite a few times. But I wasn't very successful in it. There are a few people who I know, who got good returns from trading. But I have now realized that it is not meant for people like me.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Lee: China Bitcoin Mining Ban Rumors are False on: September 24, 2017, 06:00:30 PM
Nothing can be said for sure. When the news about the exchange shutdown first came out, even I was thinking that it was fake news. But I realized that it is true, when some of the exchanges started announcing dates for their closure. And some of the other exchanges suspended the CNY-BTC trade, under directives from the government authorities.

Hi... I didn't received payment for this month. Could you please tell me why?
1166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: September 19, 2017, 02:32:46 PM
I hated using PayPal because I lost $ 2000 just because of the PayPal denunciation feature although I did nothing wrong. I think Bitcoin is better because every transaction is anonymous and does not have much difficulty in trading.

Denunciation feature was supposed to protect the buyers against fraudulent merchants, but nowadays a lot of users are misusing it. Perhaps PayPal must look in to this issue and limit its usage. And regarding Bitcoin, please don't think that it is 100% anonymous. Because it is not. If you want to use a 100% anonymous currency, then go for Blackbytes, Monero or Deeponion.
1167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can I make 100$ in 2-3 month without a base money? on: September 19, 2017, 02:27:32 PM

A lot of airdrop events, that's all right Smiley

And how many of these airdrops are available for noob members? Either you need a Twitter / Facebook account with a minimum of 100 followers, or you need a Bitcointalk account with a minimum rank of "Member". If you don't have these, then you can't participate in most of the airdrop campaigns. I have never seen an airdrop, which is open to newbies.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Value on: September 13, 2017, 02:25:45 AM

Me too, I really believe that after this dump, we sill gonna see the possitive green again. Currently theres a dump again. This the right time to collect more bitcoins.
Excited to see what would be the price after this dump.

I agree with you and bitcoin has a strong support. This dump is due to some negative report about China and once this news settled in, then bitcoin will rise again. There are many FUDders lately, be used to it.

Actually this dip shows the strength of Bitcoin. Despite so much FUD from China, the exchange rate remains above $4,000 per coin. The market bears will be disappointed. The next major chance for them can occur in November, when the 2MB block size limit needs to be implemented. But if it proceeds without any major issues, then we can expect 10K very soon!
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan CEO Jamie -says "BTC is worse than Tulip Bubble" calls it a fraud on: September 13, 2017, 02:23:40 AM
About the CEO, he does not see yet the importance of bitcoin and how it can be the future technology but maybe he is just afraid of what will happen to his business once the new technology takes over. He should just do something to innovate and not being the one who will contradict the technology because maybe later on, he will just regret it.

He understands the importance of crypto-currency. But he is not that stupid to support it. He is fully aware that Bitcoin can emerge as a competitor for the big bankers. So he is engaging in negative propaganda campaigns, in order to scare normal people away from Bitcoin. These bankers want to take your money and make the investment on your behalf (but they will chose which asset to invest).
1170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin selling at $3600 on major Chinese exchanges on: September 09, 2017, 06:39:57 PM
Unfortunately I am not even registered nor allowed to trade in these exchanges Cry This could be a lovely arbitraging opportunity for those who have access to these Chinese exchanges. Currently sitting at $3900 a piece right now, but it seems that the fire has already been extinguished and momentum has been shifted to the positive.

Seriously? Are you nuts? What you are going to do, if the exchange close down before you could transfer your coins to your personal wallet? That is the reason why the exchange rates are low in OKCoin and Houbi. Do you think that the other users are complete idiots?
1171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins dropped by almost 500 $ just a few minutes on: September 09, 2017, 06:36:49 PM
I have checked the order books in most of the exchanges. There is a lot of selling pressure, but at the same time, the demand also remains quite high. That means that the investors are quite optimistic about the future prices, and are accumulating the coins on major dips.
1172  Economy / Economics / Re: Mental barrier stops from buying BTC on: September 09, 2017, 06:31:22 PM
Not so long ago we've all whitnessed bitcoin at price 2k usd per btc. Now it is 4k. Sometimes before buying BTC I have a strong feeling that the price will fall pretty soon and I hould wait a bit before buying. Usually it all ends bad. Anyone have the same problem? How are you dealing with it?

Actually this shows the resilience of Bitcoin. The demand is so great that even corrections are getting watered down now. The recovery in prices is made in a matter of few days, compared to many months earlier.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: September 09, 2017, 06:28:45 PM
Being rich is a good thing. I think that it is not a shame if we want to be rich. But it is hard to be rich. you need to work a lot and be smart in this world to earn a lot of money. Moreover, you need to know how to use your money to make more money. YOu can not be rich if you store your money and do not use it for any purpose.

It is an irony isn't it. Except the billionaires, everyone want to become super-rich. But once the individual becomes super-rich, he gets tired of it and he donates all his money to charity (examples are Warren Buffet and Bill Gates).
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: September 09, 2017, 06:21:03 PM
Even if they invest, how we will come to know? Most of the Bitcoin exchanges never share their user data with anyone, and BTC-e even refused to share their user data with the government authorities. Most of the billionaires may be having Bitcoin in their portfolio already. It is just that we are unaware of their purchases (except for a few well known cases).
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How convincing can one persuade close relatives to join bitcoin investment on: September 09, 2017, 05:48:00 PM
Know what? I tried my bit in 2014. One of my relatives invested $10,000 in Bitcoin, after I managed to convince him about the benefits of the digital currency. But nothing worked as per the plan, and he booked losses and exited in 2016, when the exchange rate was around $250 per coin. I got a lot of flak for his losses. But if he had held on to his investment, then he could have got 400% returns.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan’s Internet Giant Could Control Six Percent Of Bitcoin Mining on: September 09, 2017, 05:44:36 PM
That doesn't really matter much, the majority of people who mine on pools don't switch to other pools when said pools support different consensus rules.
At least ove 40% of the hashrate is from Chinese pools. This isn't an issue in and of itself but the pool operators could more easily coordinate an immediate attack on Bitcoin.

But then, it needs to be seen whether this 40% is united or not. If there is no consensus between the various pools, how they are going to launch a coordinated attack? And my guess is that at least some of the pools are not in speaking terms with each other. But then, it will be a different game if the Chinese government orders the pools to do something.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better that China just gets out of Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2017, 05:37:43 PM
No. I don't think that it will be a good thing if the Chinese dump Bitcoin. The market in China is very promising, and it constitute somewhere between 10% and 20% of the global crypto-volumes. If the Chinese stop using Bitcoin, then the exchange rates will be negatively affected. But more than Bitcoin, the altcoins such as Ethereum and Dash will face more trouble, as China constitutes for a lot of users for these currencies.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan’s Internet Giant Could Control Six Percent Of Bitcoin Mining on: September 09, 2017, 05:12:14 PM
Competition is always better. I just hope that they behave in a competitive manner by not wasting the block size. I get mad when I see miners like Antpool regularly using only 200 KB or 300 KB in the blocks which they mine. They need to include the low-fee transactions as well, rather than excluding all the transactions below a certain threshold.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: September 09, 2017, 05:07:20 PM
I regret too. Its was that time 2010 many are giving away there bitcoins for free in the forum that i joined. I dont have any idea what is bitcoin then so ididin't trust it first. But now look how succesfully bitcoin is. But today look on the bright side i can still earn little bitcoin for free without investing any penny at all.

Even in early 2013, there were a lot of users here who were giving out coins for free. And back then, the faucets were also giving out huge amount of coins every day. But in mid-2013, the exchange rates hit $100 per coin for the first time, and these handouts stopped. And once the peak price of $1,200+ was reached in 2013 December, the faucet payout dropped to extremely small amounts.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: September 09, 2017, 05:01:18 PM
I don't think that any of the altcoins can survive without the existence of Bitcoin. Even now, almost 90% of the altcoin trade volumes are against the BTC. And their exchange rates are also normally quoted with respect to Bitcoin. IMO, the only altcoins which are having a chance to survive without the existence of Bitcoin are Monero and Byteball.
