And again, all the gains from yesterday are gone... again... Dispite bullish news from yesterday... So waiting again for the final break out or again prices to buy the fucking dip.. again...

Really, would be nice if we leave finally this stupid 31k and never came back down ...

It may suck, but you can't expect the price to go up to hundreds of thousands without corrections.

Bitcoin rewards the hodler.

Yes, I know. But sucks to see all the gain lost again. How many "cvorrection" do we need? I know it'S a long running game. But I sucks any way ... And buy the dip doesn'T help, when you have to wait for you paycheck ...

In the last cycle we had serveral corrections and they sometimes went for months. Don't be surprised if we mimic that.

Shitcoins are at it again.

I guess now that bitcoin is dead and there are massive bugs in the code, it is time for all the institutions to divest and inject it into the one true coin.... Chainlink, or perhaps "insert random shitcoin name".

lololol, shitcoins. Some real long-term potential right there.

History is littered with technologies and companies which were too big to fall or too ignorant to innovate.

Bitcoin is the biggest and undisputed crypto asset right now, but this is not guaranteed forever.

Ignoring a lot of interesting and potentially disruptive development in the altcoin space is short sighted.

After all, isn't it exactly what banks, big names and investment funds have been saying about Bitcoin, until they didn't.

stop the shitcoinery asap. this is not the place for marketing scams. bitcoin is a protocol for money in the same way as the internet is a protocol for information. do we have 7500 different internets? do we have "potentially disruptive development in the alternative internet space"? why not? the innovation in the webspace is happening within the network.  innovation and disruptive development can and will happen only within the bitcoin protocol.

before we move on, we all need to be on the same network, the same track, the same language.

we are trying to get a unified measurement implemented globally. a measurement for value. imagine the engineers of the world came up with 7500 different ways of measuring length. confusion much, eh? no engineering possible, you know?!

for fuck sake, stop posting crab about shitcoins.

Spot on.

An attempt to tax unrealized capital gains would be a disaster for the new administration. I understand they need to scrape what they can, but this would bite deep into the ass of the vanishing middle class. Most of Biden voters wouldn't understand, and rightly so.

Which is exactly why it will never happen.

an attempt to tax unrealized gains would send the stock market into the abyss. everyone would want to get at least some realized gains (even if taxed) rather than paying a tax on unrealized gains (which are only paper gains that are useless). that crash would eliminate the unrealized gains and there would be
1) no unrealized gains = no tax
2) no gains at all = no tax on gains possible

has this been done before?

the questions also, what when you have unrealized loss? Do you get a tax return?
Also when you realize the loss, do you get a tax return?

See what you have done? I wouldn't be my problem, here in germany I didn't pay tax for bitcoins old than 1 year. But this nonsens of the biden administration ripples though the entire world. Thank you for vote that stupid stuff. Even to place the idea in the room, has consequences. And you can not sui them for expressing this shitty idea. What a clusterfuck ... In 3 month you maybe bag for a return of trump. There is something which is called "the lesser evil"...

It's bullshit though, they have no intention of doing anything like that.

It's all about selling MMT as a better alternative. They're buttering up the public with fear in order to gain support for their money printing.

You don't get it. It's not, that some would do or do not such stupid stuff. It's the expression of that stupid idea to cause fear. How long are you in Bitcoin? If that are more than 6 month, than you should know better, what the expression of ideas have causes.

For example: "Maybe India what to forbit crypto" ... Downwards... Maybe that, Mabye this... This should be clear by now.

I've been around here long enough thank you.

You don't seem to be able to see the forest for the trees. Annoucenments from these sociopaths don't mean shit. Only their actions matter, and the actions are print print print. So what if one of their brain farts affects the price for a short period of time. Buy the fucking dip. Long term doesn't give a shit.

How do you think BTC got to 42k? by listening to all the FUD from these tards?

Nice cup of tea this morning!

Got to get myself one of those, but I don't drink coffee or tea. I guess I can always leave it at work when I retire at the end of this year.

you know those cups can hold alcohol too right Smiley 4 shots to a cup iirc

Ha, it's on option, however, I only drink socially these days and that is getting rarer. Plus I don't know what it is but I find it strange drinking out of mugs with anything other than a hot drink, same as having a wine in a normal glass or plastic cup. Just doesn't feel right, crazy I know.

It's just a distraction, they'll act like this is a last resort and a consquence of the previous adminstrations inaction. Then all of a sudden there'll be a breakthrough, and they'll find that MMT is a much more sensible option. They are certainly not going to hurt hard working american families with a tax on unrealised capital gains. That's something the evil other people would do.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-biden-yellen-idUSKBN29O1WX

"She raised eyebrows of some senators and Wall Street when she said that Treasury would consider the possibility of taxing unrealized capital gains - through a “mark-to-market” mechanism - as well as other approaches to boost revenues."

She may be nuts, but who put her in charge is a dork

Yellen also said she wants to "curtail" bitcoin because, she claims, it's used for money laundering.
Countless billions USD go through the money laundry,  yet Yellen doesn't want to "curtail" the use of dollars.
The needle of my double standard detector is pinned at the right end of the scale.
Yellen's going to be just as bad as Mnuchin was.  She fears bitcoin and wants to kill it.

And she'll fail like the rest of her sociopathic mafia pals

You're comparing this standard and ordely correction to an end of cycle correction.

Dream on man.

Quote
“The sentiment in Asia at least has been very bearish in the short term, after they saw the retail side is getting too bullish, ” Alex Zuo, vice president of China-based crypto wallet Cobo,
told CoinDesk. He said the recent price surge in alternative cryptocurrencies reflects increased interest from retail investors, who usually tend to react to price volatility more significantly.

As a result, institutions and bitcoin whales are less inclined to put fresh capital into the market. Zuo said. Instead, they are either taking profits by selling on the spot market or executing arbitrate trades by shorting the spot market.

Data from on-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant also indicates there is selling pressure on the spot market. The whale ratio on exchanges, which measures the relative size of the top 10 inflows to total inflows for all exchanges, has gone up since last week to above 0.85, meaning that more large bitcoin holders are depositing bitcoin on exchanges. That is considered a sell signal because it could mean large holders of bitcoin are looking to unload their inventory to the market.

What we're seeing is a bunch of weak hands, who in a couple months times will be in massive regret as the market hits all time highs.

Remember the best time to buy is when there is fear and blood in streets and never go full mindrust.

Increasing volume at this level, it is around the support of this triangle that we have been consolidating in since the 42k high.

Buy the dip time is now.

Had some powder left on Gemini that I can't move yet, but can trade with. Placed orders @ $34,500 all the way down to $30,500.

Seems the Yellen announcement has some people spooked.

meh. In another week we'll be heading for the stars again. I reckon 34 will be around as low as we go.

Who coined the "pump for ants" phrase? Was it Bob?

This is so cool.

Yes, i think so. I didn't find the original post, but afair he posted a message in colored caps (purple or blue), big font size over two lines:

Quote
WHAT IS THIS?
A PUMP FOR ANTS?

several months ago. I can remember it quite clear because it was a "visual" kind of post.

I also think it was a reference to Zoolander

Seems like we are moving to support level of the large symetrical triangle at 33,000. I'm hoping we bounce before then though, but I could place for a buy order if not.

Bitcoin got really boring now that we're rich.

Many people are holding alts and so they are not in profit right now. They are waiting for the alt season which may give them good profits.

I'm trying to understand your chart. Do you have a link to the source.

The chart is pretty easy to understand. When we are in blue zone, its bitcoin season (means bitcoin dominance is highest) and if we are in the Red zone, its an alt season at peak (bitcoin dominance is lowest)

Here is the link to source:  https://www.blockchaincenter.net/altcoin-season-index/

Thanks for the link. Understanding is not an accurate word, I mean that I want to understand the underlying inputs and calculataions.
