1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: April 28, 2023, 03:22:32 PM
Because of Inoue's moving up and conquering territories, a lot of boxers are vying for the 118lbs title and this is the weight category where Filipinos excel, I have seen Astrolabio's latest fight and it was impressive, and I believe he is ready to take this fight and based on both boxers performance, Astolabio's chances is better, if Vincent prepare hard for this fight, we'll have two Filipino Champion this year and it's a big rebound from a dismal performance of the Filipino boxers last year.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 28, 2023, 12:43:28 PM
Compulsive gamblers are like that they will deny wrongdoing they will deny that they are hooked on gambling and they will deny that they gambling too much, they are pathological liars and we have a saying here in our country that thieves and liars are relatives, you can easily tell a compulsive gambler to a responsible one, they cannot stand to what is right and very prone to lie, so this is what happens to the mother and her son.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 28, 2023, 11:05:07 AM
I told them that Bitcoin investors tend to get positive results, while online casino gamblers tend to get negative results more than positive result, true or false?
You will make a profit holding Bitcoin but on gambling, there's no way you can make a profit even if you are patience and employ the best known strategy, anything will not work in gambling in terms of profit

Quote
I asked them to show me prove that they make more from gambling than they lose, none of them showed me, but I prove to them that I hardly have losses investing in Bitcoin lol .
I'm sure they cannot and will not because if you check their betting history the losses stack up than their winning

Quote
Famz, drop your opinion on this, would you categorize these two as gambling? Because the only winning factor from Bitcoin investment is to just buy low and wait for a high price, it's not the same with casinos. Am I not making sense? I will like to hear from you.
The only risk of investing in Bitcoin is the long wait from bear to bull run, that is experts' advice not to put in your emergency saving or your retirement pay just allocate a portion because FUD will not leave the market, but between the two investing in Bitcoin will yield you profit if you have patience and persistence to HODL.

A Shanghai man was sentenced to prison for kidnapping his own granddaughter so he could maintain his gambling addiction with the ransom money.

The kidnapping — orchestrated by a 65-year-old man identified only by his surname, Yuan — was first reported by the Shanghai Law and Rule Journal. The legal news outlet didn't specify when the incident occurred but wrote on April 18 that Yuan had just started serving his prison sentence.

Yuan kicked off his plan by picking up his four-year-old granddaughter from her kindergarten and taking her out to eat and shop without her mother's knowledge, the Journal reported.

many gambling addicts have lost their minds because their desire to continue gambling overpowers their common sense, hence the importance of "gambling responsibly"

This is a miserable guy, some guys are committing crimes to support their family, but this guy is committing crimes against their family to gamble considering that this guy is mature, he should know better, his family cannot back him up because of the crime committed against them.
This is not an isolated case, there are so many cases where the perpetrators are head of the family against their family and this is a big concern for the government because the family is an integral part of a country, the perpetrator is really out of his mind for doing this and this is one example if you are hooked to gambling and you are gambling excessively.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: April 27, 2023, 09:12:28 PM

Have you pressed the "bet" button, before the reels have stopped.. thinking that it will give you a favorable outcome on your bet? Well, I have news for you... the outcome has been decided in milliseconds after you pressed the button for the bet, the GUI interface happens long after that to display the outcome of the bet to you.  Grin (Go into the developer mode of your browser to see this)

What patterns do you see and how much do you believe in it?

When I'm playing luck-based games I never rely on patterns, it's like saying that you are a fan of Martingale but I prefer manual to auto most of the time I enjoy playing in manual mode because of the feeling of full control and enjoying every bet, in a luck based game you win if you are lucky to win.
When playing a luck-based game, do what you enjoy the most it will give you a good chance to win because you are positive, playing in a casino whether online or offline should be fun and enjoyable this should be your main goal.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 27, 2023, 03:00:02 PM
I start developing an interest in Boxing and UFC matches when I visited a relative, he is so into these types of sports and he seems to know a lot about it, by I have to keep myself from asking him what and what I should do to know more about such sports, I have this in mind to be able to make some bets or gamble on such sports, my problem is I don't know how, if anyone is into such sports where should I begin? Any special UFC or Boxing platform where I can read news and updates about such sports?

Youtube offers the best place to know more about boxing and MMA all these boxing promotions and MMA organizations have their own dedicated channels and also have official social media sites, search for these promotions like GoldenBoy, PBN DAZN, and Showtime, they have compilations of videos they promoted.

Quote
How do you bet on such games? What are the things to be on the lookout for? Because I believe this is different from football ⚽, I also don't have access to satellite dish as my relative does, this is how he is able to get the best out of these sports.

Don't be in a hurry to bet, just enjoy the matches and get to know all these fighters first, so you'll have knowledge of the odds and comparisons between fighters, it will take you a few months but if you still want to bet, bet on a small amount only until you know what to look and how to look on every match, the most important is you enjoy and you are fully interested in this kind of sports.

1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Vs Bitcoin: Who is the Big Guy? on: April 27, 2023, 11:31:45 AM
Against a service provider and a currency, Bitcoin is for me 10 times bigger than Paypal, Paypal is only a regulated company and there are countries that they cannot serve because of restrictions, while Bitcoin is a currency fully adopted by so many countries already, and in fact, Paypal already supported Bitcoin,  in terms of adoption, volume, and number of users Bitcoin is the big guy.
People are choosing Bitcoin over Paypal because of the too many requirements.
And besides, there are a lot of complaints against Paypal, while Bitcoin has established its reputation not only for peer-to-peer transactions but for investors as well.
1190  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: April 26, 2023, 10:46:29 PM
Which are best stake alternatives
I search for good casinos with similar original games

There are a lot of Stake alternatives and as a casino player whether online or offline, players should look for alternatives or other platforms for comparison if ever the other casino loses its reputation or the other casinos are offering a better deal more bonuses, and more giveaways, it's not good if you're playing in one casino although you've done the right thing starting in a good casino with a good reputation

These are the other casinos I can recommend and that I also tried and other members of this forum can vouch

Duelbits, Fortunejack, Betcoin.ag, and Betfury
1191  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: April 26, 2023, 03:19:27 PM

To be fair, nung una palang lumabas ang SIM card registration law, binanggit na nila yung possibility na magkaroon ng extension up to 120 days at sa huli, pinili nilang iextend ito for another 90 days.

1192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: April 26, 2023, 02:55:35 PM
How I wish, but the same article you posted also mentioned

Predictions of sky-high valuations have been commonplace during bitcoin's past rallies. A Citi analyst said in November 2020 that bitcoin could climb as high as $318,000 by the end of 2022. It closed last year down about 65% at $16,500.

I don't want to be in a delusional state to thinking that it will hit 6 digits in just a short period of time, I prefer a modest prediction, not one that thinks that it will skyrocket, although in the back of my mind, I wish it could happen but its better to spread FOMO than to spread FUD.
1193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About shit coins on: April 25, 2023, 08:30:21 PM

In conclusion, shitcoins are a significant issue in the cryptocurrency market. They are often created as a quick way for their creators to make a profit, and their value is driven purely by speculation. The lack of regulation in the cryptocurrency market makes it challenging to distinguish legitimate cryptocurrencies from shitcoins, and investors should be aware of the risks before investing in any cryptocurrency.
If it's without usability and has nothing to add value to the Cryptocurrency community then it's considered a shitcoins, they usually start as trending coins hyped by paid shills and bounty hunters, and they do not have original whitepaper many of them are just copy paste from real projects and their development team are not capable to sustain their project, many of these shitcoins started as a crowdfunding project.
They are good with promises and hype words, these shitcoins will keep coming in unless investors become educated on how worthless these shitcoins are.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: April 25, 2023, 03:09:11 PM
I don't want to marry because of the possession if I am going to marry someone it should be because I love her and I want to be with her for the rest of my life if I marry a woman because of his material possession she will just hate for this, whether she is fiat rich or Crypto rich I don't care.

But if she happens to be Crypto rich when we married then it's better I would just work hard so she can continue to HODL these Crypto for profit for our family's future.
But if she is fiat rich then I will just educate her about Cryptocurrency and urge her to invest, the most important is you have love and respect for each other.
1195  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: DOH Twitter na Hacked, Promoting Fake Crypto Airdrop on: April 25, 2023, 01:59:57 PM
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 25, 2023, 11:30:14 AM
A politician in the Philippines claimed to have had a hand in the development of the very controversial e-sabong platform he operated e-sabong so he can make a lot of money so he can use for the campaign, and his family to win local elections because the election in the Philippines is very costly many candidates are buying votes to secure their win, there were reports that he murdered their family's opponent because of e-sabong.
Do you think that government should have a rule or a law for election candidates not to have a franchise in any form of gambling, in fact, there are a lot of politicians who are operators of illegal small-town lotteries this is to accumulate funds they can use for election campaigns.

Congressman confirms past stint with e-sabong when it was not yet banned by gov’t
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There are many advantages to the relationship between gambling and Bitcoin. on: April 24, 2023, 07:09:52 AM

Another advantage of using Bitcoin for gambling is that it allows for more anonymity than traditional payment methods. This can be especially important for gamblers who wish to keep their gambling activities private.
Not at all times, casinos will still ask you to do KYC if they suspect your account of money laundering or violation of their terms.

Quote
Furthermore, Bitcoin transactions are often cheaper and faster than traditional banking methods, which can save gamblers money and time.
Yes, faster but when it comes to fees other Cryptocurrency like Tron, Doge, and BNB offers much cheaper options but Bitcoin is very popular.

Quote
Can you tell us another advantage of opening an account in a Bitcoin Sportsbook?
Bitcoin is very popular now all Cryptocurrency casinos and even fiat-based casinos have it its both a mode of payment and an investment at the same time, in fact, some players are playing to grow their Bitcoin for future profit.

1199  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] New way of scamming in telegram on: April 23, 2023, 01:42:05 PM
just curious, have you reported this to Telegram? I mean the part where you were being added to a group despite having enabled the "not allow" on privacy setting?

additionally imposter add people to group despite privacy settings that don't allow that

This is the strange part  Huh but it seems like a new feature, last I check months ago, there was no "nobody" and only "my contacts" and "everyone".
this shouldn't be a new feature and if it is, it is a stupid one, I mean, what's the point of having a privacy setting that doesn't allow other people to add you to their group if Telegram decided to add this feature.

Privacy is a big concern for everyone here on the internet, social medias have these features and Telegram already has this but many of us are not aware of it, I used to be one of them until I noticed there are so many messages coming in when I logged in I just found out I am in so many groups.
Privacy and securing our account should be our main concern, scammers are roaming around they want you to make one mistake to steal your funds and your identity, and security should be your concern when you are online.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 23, 2023, 09:01:40 AM
Not the way I thought this fight would go. I thought Garcia would be able to get the better of Tank but he didn’t seem to be able to use his advantages to his benefit. I wonder if they really did sign contracts to bet the entire purse or what is going to happen with that drama now.

That's purely talking to hype the fight but in the end, Ryan Garcia backed out of his statement that the winner will take all the purse money, that's what I have read in my social media feed about a month ago.

Garcia lost with a same punch like he did against Luke Campbell.

Also, the same punch that Loma used to finish Linares, and if my memory serves me right, that's what also happened to Ryan's boss (Oscar) in the hands of Hopkins.

Yes, it is, the same punch, Ryan is too defensive on his chin that he forgot that he is fighting a small guy and his body is vulnerable to a liver punch, Ryan is not ripe for this kind of fight, too anxious, prone to careless moves not good in defense, when he attacks he opens a room for a counter punch, that's because he has never faced a guy like Gervonta who is almost flawless in his moves and defense.

I wonder what's next for Ryan, losing by a technical knockout is not good for a superstar like him, he is good only for social media and still has a lot to learn in boxing.
