121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex. What happen? on: October 17, 2017, 11:21:00 PM
afraid to log into my account....there must be a reason why they are doing that...

I was too earlier today and when I eventually did was met with this terribly misleading message (if you have a pre-August account it seems):

They say you can't withdraw if you're unverified (which I am as I refuse to put in personal details into crypto related stuff except as a last resort) but that's not quite accurate, for me at least. I successfully withdrew my BTC balance there without putting in all those details just shy of DNA samples and though it did take a while, it's fully confirmed in my wallet. If you see that it wouldn't hurt to try.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Mobile Lending App Announced (ELIX On CoinExchange) on: October 17, 2017, 11:07:54 PM
A quick update:

A website designer will be hired to redesign the website. This process will take some time, but should greatly improve the user experience.

When the new website is released, it will include a team page.

We will also be continuing with our weekly MVP updates.

Really appreciate the efforts to adjust to your investor's cries dev. This kind of attitude and work ethic will get this company/token far. Fellow elixir supporters let's keep this news DL and let it grow gradually for those of us who have held through an uneventful last few weeks (price wise).

Having been here since the TME days, this is not the first time the devs are under-promising and over-delivering. They did it with regards to getting the coin on any exchange, rebranding to Elixir and now this. IMO there was really never any doubt that they would release it way before the date listed in the roadmap. As I see it, think of the dates on the roadmap like times to beat by 30+ days.

I see you all over the place.

LOL  Grin

Quote
Really wish I knew about this coin in its TME days. but glad to be a part of this now.

I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time. If I'd been a minute late I would probably have never seen this thread when it was TME and lost my chance of getting a genesis address pair. But you're here now and the price is cheap, like waaay below it's ATH. Join the channels, load up on ELIX and hey, spread the word. The more the better.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 17, 2017, 10:51:33 PM
People still receiving coin here? Airdrops each mounth or how often?

Adorable, really. You missed the OP, missed all the updates and clearly didn't even bother to check the website or use the google machine. Bravo!

Quote
If Ill buy coins, how many coins Ill receive every mounth / week eth?

The new distribution is now 1 million Eth every 12 hours provided you had Eth in your wallet on 25th December, 1998 at 00:00 UTC Roll Eyes

i also want to ask you people how to backup my wallet from my old laptop. i have tried synchronizing the wallet from the phone with the one on the laptop but did not work the transfer of coins..what am i missing?

It's always worked without a glitch for me on PC, I've no idea about mobile. Have you updated your ByteBall wallet/client to the latest version?
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 17, 2017, 10:25:59 PM
I have no idea where i should start when it comes to writing about byteball. I stopped counting how many times it was dumped. Funny enough, its dumps has nothing to do with the current market trend. Anyway, this coin is a real waste of time. By the way, DUMPDROP is coomiiing.....

It's better than 90+% of the coins out there so it's just fine.

I just managed to buy some Byteball with Changelly, didn't want to risk having my funds stuck in that exchange...  Changelly exchange rate was decent.

U do realize changelly using bittrex for all exchanges.

Hmm, I did not know that.

I have a different issue with them though, their rates. I usually use the USD -> GBYTE example to show their absurd prices but since you said they use Bittrex, I decided to check it out and this is what I got:

At that time, 1 BTC was $5,596.750000 on Bittrex while 1 GB was $174.606791 which should give you ~31.97GB/BTC with the 0.25% trading fee included. It seems Changelly charges 2x Bittrex's fee (and that doesn't seem to be their only fee) which is not a lot I guess, but, if you're not having any Bittrex issues you might as well get it from the source.

BTW, USD to GBYTE via Changelly is still as absurd as ever:

Great news, finally the website gets an upgrade. That was really necessary, because the current homepage doesn't look very professional. There are not much but a few reviews with suggestions here on BTC forum and reddit.

I would really recommend a light/bright/white theme for the homepage, because its more attracting than a darker one.

I was thinking going with the colors in the logo would be nice.

Quote
The current logos/symbols above "Built on Ethereum" - "Mined Through Time" - "Lending Service" look really cheap and unprofessional.

I have to agree. They also don't scale well across devices and look a tad pixelated/fuzzy on mobile. Going with SVG icons for the updated site should be a priority IMO.

Quote
LaTex made it look really professional. [-- snip --]

Please jog my memory, who or what is latex?

Quote
The stats page looks really great, the font and the blue tone of the letters and the logo are very well chosen. In my opinion the logo of the stats page looks kind of better than the usual logo. But I don't know, that is only my personal perception^^
There is also a button or something else missing to get from the stats page back to the homepage.

The stats and site in general is in dire need of some "action", so to speak. We need some animations, not as crazy and overdone as Chronologic's but something.

Quote
I read the suggestions that it would be nice to add a FAQ-Section to the website. Thats a good idea, as there are so many questions that getting asked again and again. Maybe someone asks the guys from the Telegram chat, there are a few that are active since the beginning, including the mod, if they can write a summary with the most frequent and important questions including answers for the FAQ. I'm sure they would help. I can provide names if necessary too.

It's not just a suggestion, it's almost done. It's being worked on by a few of us in the Discord which you can join here.

I had my suspicions that this claim - "in comparison, you made a shitton of consecutive posts (6!) - was patently false and as expected, it was.
But it's not.

#1063
#1068

A single post suffices, with edits when you have new additions.

I was just starting out and having read through (and continue to read) several pages of this and the previous "Known alts" thread, see nothing wrong with posting each connection on its own (there's the added and probably not too significant advantage of knowing each post references one connection). It was after stumbling on Avirunes' (IIRC) multiple use of the [ hr..] tag in a single connection post that I started posting more in one which I now usually do if:

- I find more than one when hunting
- there's no new post after my connection
- there was an error in the initial post and I have another one to add

Quote
Not only did I not make 6 posts after my connection
Never said that you made 6 posts after. Read my quote again: "In comparison, you made a shitton of consecutive posts (6!) and TL posted 28 minutes later about your repeat connection."

That sentence follows chronologically. You made 6 consecutive posts. Then, 28 minutes after your last post, TL posted about the repeat connection.

To you maybe but your use of the word "consecutive" and how you compared it to TM's posting - "In only the Timelord post [...] to which after 7 minutes he made the second post reflecting upon his mistake [...] In comparison..." made it appear like you were claiming I made 6 posts after making my repeat connection and unlike him, didn't acknowledge my mistake as fast as he did or in the next post.

I had my suspicions that this claim - "in comparison, you made a shitton of consecutive posts (6!) - was patently false and as expected, it was.

Not only did I not make 6 posts after my connection, I didn't make a single post until after TM pointed out I made a repeat connection and that was me acknowledging it (image links to relevant Latest posts page):

I had to zoom out since it won't fit my screen without needing to scroll horizontally.
128  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: October 17, 2017, 06:05:24 PM
To demonstrate the absurdity of TimeLord's claim, here are a few cases I remembered where the same thing has happened and no one was inane enough to tag them as being "so lazy and passing off people's works as [theirs]":

- Lutpin telling whywefight he connected accounts that were already connected
- Guess who...  Roll Eyes
- zazarb telling Lutpin he connected accounts that were already connected

You seem quite butthurt.

I can see how it would appear so.

Quote
In only the Timelord post did he disregard the feedback - to which after 7 minutes he made the second post reflecting upon his mistake. Seems like he didn't exactly 'pass off people's works as theirs'.

Nor did I, Lutpin or whywefight.

Quote
In comparison, you made a shitton of consecutive posts (6!) and TL posted 28 minutes later about your repeat connection.

Which I acknowledged a few minutes later.

Quote
You can always disregard their feedback.

It's appropriately under the "Untrusted feedback" section and I didn't know it was there until a few days ago which is why I'm posting about it now. AFAICS I'll eventually have to archive this page.

Wow, I just stumbled upon this:

What is that supposed to mean?

How is my post you quoted there passing off your work as mine? By all means, quote/link to the post you made your own connection between those accounts so it can be compared.

Edit: On the off-chance that you refuse to provide that quote and attempt to deflect like you did before, I went ahead and found it myself.

Is that almost entirely vapid "connection" what you claim I'm passing off as mine? And I'd like evidence for the other "people's" works I've passed off as mine.

And did I mention that adorable threat to me in parentheses?

dunno if this one's been listed already, havent really kept up.

You better find out if it's already listed or you're gonna get a rating making the absurd claim that you're "so lazy" and passing off people's works as yours.

After hearing all the news about Bittrex locking accounts and instabanning people that complained on their slack I logged into my account and was met with this:

Now I really, really wish IDEX and others all the luck it can get. Nothing like first-hand experience to make you see why some people are obsessed with DEXes taking over. I get that they're following KYC or whatever but I'm not applying at Freelancer or SALT HQ.

Your bounty ad was published for free.
If someone ask for tokens than ban him.

https://newsker.com/2017/10/13/idex-decentralized-exchange-bounty-campaign-ico-bounty/

Hey Route69, thank you for your publication. I've took over the bounty campaign for IDEX and will be managing the campaign from now on.

We have a new thread with updates rules, please check: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2279539.msg23127348#msg23127348

What happened to the other guy? What about the other, still live thread? And why is there "BOUNTY" in the title of this thread?
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Mobile Lending App Announced (ELIX On CoinExchange) on: October 17, 2017, 12:25:32 PM
Hey, looks nice, what is the mechanics behind loan approval? KYC? No KYC?

The Elixir WP talks about lending anonymously so I doubt (and hope) there's no KYC. And since the initial stage will be for family and friends that's not a problem (is it ever?) but I won't be surprised if it's added it when it goes global and (physical) collateral is introduced into the system.
132  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 09-Oct-2017] on: October 16, 2017, 08:41:27 AM
The most profitable campaign listed is Graft, but it looks like it has closed today.

[-- snip --]

Graft is far from being the most profitable on the list. Just take a quick look at the table and you'll see there's at least 5 others that aren't just more profitable but pay to Members what they pay to Full Members, mostly CFNP but pay more nonetheless.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team on: October 16, 2017, 08:29:31 AM
Hi all - some updates:

→ The referral program is still open. If you're having issues, please contact hello@wcex.co with some information about referred users, such as their email addresses.

→ The ICO buyback program for October has ended and will start again in November.

→ The trading dashboard, as well as other elements in the product, will improve drastically.

→ We have incredible new features coming up in the weeks and months ahead. Check out our product roadmap: https://trello.com/b/596LMpPZ/wcx-product-roadmap.

→ Concerning presale stats for those who asked, WCX tokens are selling out quickly. We've been selling out on a daily basis every day this week. We're limiting the amount available every day to try to get WCXT in the hands of everyone who wants them and prevent a quick sell-out.

→ We are indeed focused entirely on the product right now, particularly: speed, security, stability, and scalability. We've limited the amount of people signing up per week to make sure everything is scaling smoothly.

We expect to remove those limits and allow anyone to sign up and deposit some time in early November, at which point we expect to have around 1 million sign ups and be ready to unveil the new trading dashboard as well as the REST and Websocket APIs.

Good to see that after all was said and done you guys still delivered on yet another promise. I'm not invested, not because of the anonymity of the devs but because I don't really do ICOs (yet?) and there's no escrow (pretty big and legit deal breaker for many), but that's gotta count for something.

[-- snip --]

If it information was usefull for you - don't hesitate my ETH [-- snip --]

You can also use my ref.link for extra 15% discount bonus for you [-- snip --] and small bonus for me too Smiley

You're aware that pretty much everyone here has their own ref link, right?

What is the current market cap?

Uh, check it on CMC like for pretty much every other coin/token.

i thought ELIXIR is a eth token . why it need mobile wallet for itselft ??

Read the WP and watch the demo again. FYI, if it was a mobile wallet in the way MEW is, that would be a good thing.

Any upcoming Twitter / Facebook campaign? Dev Team needs to spread the word about Eilixir Smiley

I doubt it. This wasn't an ICO so any such bounty would have to be paid from their own pockets and take away from the app and fee for listing on other exchanges. But, hey, you can and should spread word yourself.

Uh, did you even read the OP or even the title?

What is the relationship of this project with Ethereum Gold? Probably one will accuse the other of copying the idea... Anyway, I joined the airdrop, good luck! Maybe this token is valuable.

Are you drunk? What has ELIX got to do with those useless e-somethingcoins and an airdrop at this point?

is it true that elixir are burning coins in 21/10 ??
 Roll Eyes

I never heard this before, it would definiteley drive the price up when this is true.
Where do you read it vor who said this?

Give us proofs, please. I never heard about it before. I think this is wrong info.

Maybe the discussion was a bit easier. The total supply drives on the pace of hatching and currently almost 43% of the total amount of batches are hatched, so 43% of the 4100 genesis addresses are already gone.

There are 4,113 genesis addresses. As for burning coins, the only burning I know of is the burning of the converted TME.

Quote
Logical result of this is that the total supply would end up a lot lower then previously assumed so we could be looking at 70M Max vs. 137M when mining went more lineair . So basically the faster the Gen accounts are mined the more coins are taken out if the Max possible supply so the Genesis accounts are burning their tokens every time they hatch a batch before Year 10.

Mhmm, we might end up having a lower total supply than OMG's circulating supply.
137  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: October 14, 2017, 12:18:20 AM

This alt ring is larger, much larger.

I've been tracking them on and off for the last month and have gotten 30 accounts linked so far (31 with that magisterr addition). It's one of the major reasons I stopped posting so frequently. FWIW, I'd advise against tagging any of them to avoid spooking him or her because this could very well end up being 100 accounts large; for context, I've searched over 30 addresses and still have 30+ to go.
138  Other / Meta / Re: Airdrop threads are great... on: October 13, 2017, 11:42:20 PM
What type of project would benefit from blacklisting those guys? Simply charging a fair price for your product or service will essentially block freeloaders.

It's funny you say that while donning a DeepOnion signature which ICYMI is an airdropped coin and, tbh, on the same level as those worthless e-somethingcoin tokens popping up everywhere.
139  Other / Meta / Re: Disallow Airdrops on: October 13, 2017, 06:00:05 PM
Airdrops are nothing but a group of scammers trying to make us believe their tokens is endorsed by thousands of community members, but if you read all the posts you will understand they're not really giving you any thing valuable, do you see ebtc was listed on exchange and there are buyers for it but they never gave people anything. they just lie with their alt shills, would you give tokens to me for nothing and then pay for them on exchange to buy them from me?  you should trash them all Cheesy

If your only experience with airdrops are those e-uselesscoins then I understand the ignorance. You should check out ByteBall here for one such example of an airdropped crypto that's as far away from being scammy as North is to South.

Byteball is dead in the water. Byteball is as useless as any of the other shitcoins. Its time has passed already, people have made their cash and it's time to move on  Grin

When I saw that you were the latest poster I knew it would be another piece contrived nonsense like you usually spew in their ANN thread. Thank you for not disappointing.

When I saw that you are the latest poster after me I knew it was another piece of your painstakingly crafted bags of smelly nuisances that you love to throw around here snowflake  Grin

Ouch, looks like I struck a nerve. Gotta love that word salad though.
