In my opinion, it will be great to see Lewis in the red outfit in the red car. His fans will certainly be very excited about this event and I hope he can have a very competitive car as Ferrari has not yet managed to develop the right car to fight against Red Bull.

It will certainly be interesting to see what Lewis will be like driving for Ferrari together with Charles... we will have a good battle between them.

Hamilton is now in his third season but despite fighting valiantly, he has a Mercedes in his hands that is clearly well below average. Hamilton needs his eighth title and I believe he made the right decision by activating the "escape clause" in his contract with Mercedes and going to Ferrari.... let's see how that goes!

123  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Fechei canal lightning antes de confirmar e perdi btc on: April 14, 2024, 04:49:10 PM

O primeiro é falta de necessidade mesmo, pois quem só acumula e não gasta tem pouqíssimos ou nenhum motivo para usar a LN;

124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: April 14, 2024, 04:41:47 PM
The international started the championship on the right foot!
Obviously, with the millionaire (billionaire!?) Internacional squad for this year, nothing less was to be expected than a victory against Bahia, however... this year I will not belittle any team, at least until we arrive halfway through the championship.

However, São Paulo's defeat surprised me, I was betting on their victory.
For today, another game that should be closely contested is Corinthians and Atlético Mineiro... I haven't decided on my bet yet, but what about you, what are your predictions?

Some information that can help: In the years in which they ended up champion (2005, 2011, 2015 and 2017), "Timão" did not lose in their debut: there were three wins and a draw. But... no one has yet said that Corinthians will win this year, right!?

6- Gremio
7- Internacional

Grêmio better placed than Internacional!? Not this year Tongue
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 14, 2024, 04:34:00 PM
Upon all those sources and explanation, I still need the community input on the argument to know if gambling is a HOBBY so that I and the person will understand more.
Cheers.

Yes! I have always argued that gambling should be seen as a form of entertainment, which is why I also answer that it can be a hobby.

Some people see gambling as a source of income, but this is much more wrong than seeing it as a hobby.
Okay, in some games a person can use strategy, learning, probabilities and mathematical algorithms to make a profit, but in most games your victory depends exclusively on luck and therefore should never be considered as a source of income.

In the case of a hobby, it's everything you play for fun (as you said) and it's obvious that some fun things cost money, not everything is free, the problem lies in the amount of money you want to spend on that fun. , and this is where many people become addicted.
126  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: A próxima grande divisão da comunidade on: April 12, 2024, 11:39:40 PM

127  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Bitcoin derretendo: culpa do ataque do Irá? on: April 12, 2024, 11:18:39 PM

128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 12, 2024, 11:11:39 PM

No matter what they change they can't make it more interesting F1 unless a team builds up and makes a huge upgrade package to their car in order to fight Redbull. We have seen some sparks of that in Ferrari yet the last race in Japan made us all forget about Ferrari and put in the spot light once again the domination of Redbull.

The China track is more wide but when it comes to being a technical one it is not that much different from Suzuka, the same here, the drivers love this track although more wide and longer than Suzuka,I expect not a lot of change regarding the race as I continue to expect full Redbull domination even in here.

I still believe that there will come a point where they will say: "Red Bull has already lost its favor, let's leave the game for 1 or 2 years and let you train to evolve a little more" Cheesy

I really believed in McLaren this year, because in 2023 the team didn't start the season so well, but in the 2nd half of the championship it gained strength.... so much so that in the last races of the year, Lando Norris finished on the podium in 5 of them, 4 in a row. His teammate, newcomer Oscar Piastri, also reached the podium in the second part of the competition twice.
So, by having a strong and promising pair of drivers, I honestly had no doubts that McLaren could continue to evolve in 2024 and even manage to go head to head with Red Bull. but.....
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 12, 2024, 11:05:35 PM
What do you think of this method?
Is there anyone among you who does it?
Give us one of your winning strategies, of course if that is possible.

Perfect!

A successful player is one who can set limits and strictly adhere to them.

When we talk about limits, we need to keep three factors in mind:
  • Minimum amount of bet or losses, which is your $100.00;
  • Maximum winning amount... many people ignore this rule and continue playing until they lose everything again;
  • Maximum game time. Yes! There's no point in spending $1000/day and spending 12 hours/day playing... your mind can't handle that much effort and this results in a loss of reasoning and profits.

If you didn't reach item 3, I would say it is possible to "cheat" item two if you save the initial bet ($100) and play again with just the profit. This way you will never reset and you still have the chance to earn 3x your initial amount.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would a gamblers statistics in graph and chart form, be of any help? on: April 12, 2024, 10:59:00 PM
What do you think?

It would certainly help, yes!

We often look at the numbers and don't have the real dimension of how much money we are losing, because our eyes will always focus more on the money we gained and never on what we lost.
However, when lines and bars gain more emphasis than numbers, it is easier to have a global view of performance at a given time and that is where many players can have a real idea of their performance.

A long time ago, there was a time when I documented my gains and losses every day in a spreadsheet that automatically converted it into a graph... it was really good.
But over time I got lazy and didn't register anything anymore.

In any case, it would be nice if websites made this feature available.
131  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Seu palpite de preço após o halving pode valer até 0.0015 BTC on: April 12, 2024, 02:18:40 AM
Eu acrescentava outro ponto.

132  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Previsão de Arthur Hayes: queda no preço do Bitcoin perto do halving on: April 12, 2024, 01:58:33 AM

133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Betting. Why the Distinction? on: April 12, 2024, 01:44:06 AM
I was today years old when I found out that if betting and gambling isn't exactly the same thing. If you Google the word betting most of the  results will be in regards to sports betting. Also Google the word gambling and you will see most results refer to casino games. In my own opinion whether we bet on the outcome of a sports event or we bet on games of luck and skill in the casino, they are both the same thing. Which is why I wonder why there is this distinction between the two? Why can't we say casino betting just as we say sports betting or sports gambling just as we refer to the casino when we talk about gambling? I know it sounds weird saying casino betting or sports gambling but what do you think about this?

In my opinion, today they are considered the same thing.
Until a while ago, before gambling games became popular on the internet, we could even have a very clear distinction between them:
  • Casinos: These were more focused on games of chance with their cards, dice and slot machines;
  • Betting sites: Which were predominantly based on sports betting.

However, just before the pandemic, we already had many sites also exploring gambling, and after Covid isolated these people even more at home, without being able to go to a casino, this niche market evolved a lot and today we have both in the same place. website, mixed in such a way that it can no longer be said that they are different things.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 12, 2024, 01:39:19 AM
So at this point I decided to bring it here to know or see different views from different intellects here on why do some people hide just to gamble or if it is the best way to gamble ?

Even today, when gambling is already legalized in several countries, there are still many people who consider gambling to be something "bad", that it is no good, that it is illegal (even though it is not).

Many people are afraid to tell family and friends that they play because they are afraid that it will cause a negative reaction or reprimand, so they prefer to play in silence.

Unfortunately, this only makes the situation worse for people who are addicted, because when they gamble alone, no one else can help monitor their habits, time or money spent on gambling.

Ultimately, it is necessary to legalize gambling in more countries, and talk more openly about its risks, even in schools or with parents. It needs to be controlled, but never hidden.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler lost what he couldn't afford to lost and broke his TV after game Lost on: April 12, 2024, 01:25:23 AM
Here in my hood, someone staked $1,000 to a bet with little odds and to all hope that there was no possibilities of him loosing the game but revise be the case that the game got cut off in just 3 minutes for the game over and then he could had cashed his winning.
It is quite unfortunate that he staked above what he could not afford to loose. So out of frustrations and anger he broke his TV on the process.

After his temper became calm, he ended up regretting to had lost his bet and went such a mile of destroying his TV.

He now makes two different lost counts at the caused of his inability to control his gambling emotions and his over confidence to had staked what he can't afford to loosed.

Unfortunately, this happens to many people who cannot control their emotions when faced with a bad scenario.
In fact, this wasn't even the worst case, as I've read and heard stories of people who lost much more because of their impulsive behaviors, such as wives or girlfriends and even children. You see, it is much more difficult to recover a personal relationship than a material possession.

In any case, this demonstrates one of the great dangers of gambling addiction: They sabotage our senses, make us lose a lot of money and even ruin lives if they are not played wisely and always with well-defined limits on amounts and time spent.

138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 10, 2024, 02:47:33 AM
Regarding Mbappe future situation, it is not yet certain whether he will join Real Madrid or another team. Apart from that, I read in several sports media that Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of this season, but there is a possibility that he will stay if PSG this season manages to win the Champions League. Of course there is a lot of news that is not necessarily completely true with the Mbappe news, but with Real Madrid interest in Mbappe there is a possibility that it could become a reality at the end of this season.

His claim makes a lot of sense, as Mbappé had already chosen not to activate the contract renewal clause until 2025, something that caused him great discomfort on the part of PSG who did not want the striker to leave the club for free after the end of the contract and consequently Mbappé spent several games on the bench as a form of "punishment".

However, what surprises me is that at this moment, Mbappé could already sign a pre-contract with any club, as there are less than six months left until the end of his contract with the French club. Why hasn't he done it yet?

I don't think there are many options for Mbappé other than Real Madrid, so in fact, it is to be considered that he might want to stay at PSG and is just waiting for the Champions League result this season.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: April 10, 2024, 02:39:10 AM
Hi,

There are always things that we are passionate about doing, such as video games, football, basketball, and sports in general, meaning that everyone has something that excites them and makes them want to do.
Like others, I get very excited when I sit down, take my phone, and start my bets. This does not mean that I am addicted, but rather I find it more comfortable and I have more fun.

Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?

As I have already expressed in several other posts, my bets are mostly on football sports games and they are a complement to a sport that I am passionate about, regardless of whether I bet on it or not.

So, betting excites me, but I can say that it is much more of a reason for me to continue looking for information about games than actually a way to make money.

Obviously the desire to "not lose" money always prevails, so I use this as a reason to always try to find out more about the games I'm betting on before placing my bets.

In short... the game does excite me, but it's more of a hobby than something that I'm already passionate about playing or not.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: April 10, 2024, 02:35:05 AM
Gambling an activity for fun also has the chance to turn someone's fortune. Calculated risk when taken in gambling can be the way to big wins from gambling. Who do you think should take more risk in gambling? The rich gambler or the gambler who is not yet rich. If a rich gambler takes risks in gambling, they are risking losing money and becoming poor from gambling, or getting richer, when a gambler who is not yet rich gambles, they can also get poorer or richer, so the gambler who should take the risk should be the gambler who can handle the dangers of the risk like losing too. When a rich gambler loses from taking a risk, there is a better chance of them being in a position to manage with the losses, than someone struggling financially who a big loss will really affect. So, I am confused after asking myself this question and answering it, does this mean a poor gambler should continue to play it safe in gambling? With no risk, how can a poor gambler change their fortune in gambling?

We must always keep in mind that the definition of "a lot and little money" are quite different between rich and poor.
So, I prefer to use the amount referring to 1 monthly salary rather than a fixed amount in dollars.

I believe that the poor player should always risk less, because if he loses 1 month of salary he will most likely not have a financial reserve to compensate for this loss and consequently he will have to ask for a loan or stop paying a bill to continue "living" in the next month.

However, for the rich player, he could certainly lose up to 3 months of his salary on gambling and would still be comfortable with an emergency fund or giving up some "unnecessary luxuries" for the next few months.

In other words, the problem is not how much they can risk earning due to their income, but rather what they will give up if they lose these amounts.
