361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 18, 2024, 11:45:42 PM
Yeah, Argentina is clearly one of the favorites as they are the current champion.

But, I think that maybe Uruguay or Brazil will surprise everyone in the next world cup.

I would like to disagree with you about Brazil, but I went to see some odds from bookmakers and I confess that I was quite surprised because at the moment, Brazil is among the teams most likely to win the title in the 2026 World Cup. Seriously, Brazil has an odds of 6.50, the lowest among all teams only alongside France.
Regarding Argentina, in fact winning the last title does not seem to be that relevant as it only appears in fourth place, behind England and tied with Spain.

Are these probabilities (odds) actually real?
  • Brazil (6.50)
  • France (6.50)
  • England (7.00)
  • Argentina (10.00)
  • Spain (10.00)
  • Germany (12.00)
  • Portugal (15.00)
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 18, 2024, 11:37:12 PM
Is it true? How quickly did Henderson leave the Saudi league team? I still can't believe time has flown so fast and he chose to join Ajax. Even though in the Saudi league he can find peace and an abundant salary, it doesn't seem to make him happy. He doesn't look old but his passion is still burning for football and maybe Ajax could be the answer to his wishes.

In fact it was quick... the player who "gained popularity" at Liverpool seemed not to be very satisfied at Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia... In fact he played outside of Europe for just six months because he was quite dissatisfied with the situation of his club and league.
In fact, I believe that these Saudi teams won over many players for the monstrous offer of money, but the lifestyle there (the customs of that country) and the still low level of many teams end up quickly disappointing the players and then that situation arises: "money can't always buy everything."

Henderson managed to terminate his contract with Al Ettifaq and therefore arrives at no cost to the Amsterdam team, signing a contract until June 2026.
It may not yet be the position or team that Henderson would like to occupy, but at least he is back in Europe, wearing the number 6 shirt and if he achieves a good performance he will be able to return to a team and position more suited to his game profile.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 18, 2024, 11:29:11 PM
This now triggered me to come ask here whether you cares about what people says or sees you as when gambling, I know there are people who don't know you from time or who doesn't believe that you are a gambler and if it happens that you came across such people and their reaction towards you goes other way round would you care about it or you just totally ignore them?

Apart from my wife, no one else knows that I play.

This is the result of two factors:
1st: I am a responsible player. My gaming moments always occur at home and never at work or in any public place. Imagine someone witnessing the moment I'm earning $1 million!? It will certainly be difficult for the person to "forget" about me and that is dangerous.
2nd: I don't reveal my gaming habits to family and friends (besides my wife). Very few people even know that I own cryptocurrencies, so why would I tell them that I practice gambling? This is unnecessary.

I don't see any problem with people who like to share this with others, but I believe that whoever does this should be aware of the security risks and also discriminatory comments.
364  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: A escassez do Bitcoin está assustadora on: January 18, 2024, 01:04:47 AM

365  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: 1 bitcoin será enviado para a Lua dia 08/01/24 on: January 18, 2024, 12:56:13 AM

366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 18, 2024, 12:44:22 AM
How would you feel if you had the opportunity to cashout this amount, and later loose all?

most times people always find it difficult to cashout their fund when they have the opportunity,  due to having that mindset that they want to go home with the Goody bag. by so doing Sometimes the game will end without them winning a dime. but loosing all to nothing. while some will cashout, and later the game will end well and they will start regretting why dey didn't wait to the final.
now my question this,

cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?

3x... 3x the value of the initial bet, this is my limit for a super conservative person when it comes to gambling. So, whenever I manage to triple my bet amount, I stop immediately.

Obviously this depends on how much I bet, because if I bet $1 I won't stop playing after winning $3 Cheesy
But, if I bet $100 and win $300, I will certainly restart the bet with $100 and withdraw $200.
If I bet $1000 and win $3000 I will sleep peacefully knowing I did my duty for the day.

As I said... I'm conservative, but I think everyone should determine not only a maximum amount of spending but also of earnings. In my country they say... "it's better to have a bird in the hand than two in the bush".
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 12:37:40 AM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.

I have already seen a situation similar to yours happening to someone close to me, the fact of stopping betting is certainly a very difficult challenge for anyone struggling with gambling addiction.
The first step you have already taken is recognizing the problem, as knowing how to identify the signs of betting addiction, such as the constant need to bet, loss of control over the game and prioritization of betting to the detriment of other activities, is a step fundamental to facing addiction and many do not even manage to do so.

But, if you have tried to stop on your own and failed, then you need to seek professional help... this is essential as having the support of psychologists, therapists and support groups specializing in addiction can provide you with the necessary tools to deal with it.
Other than that, also try to set realistic goals to stop betting and set goals that are achievable in this process... it will be difficult, but try to find a healthy replacement for gambling, such as playing sports, a hobby or creative activity... You need to fill your time and your mind with other things, otherwise you'll just be thinking about the game until the moment you can't resist anymore.

Also avoid "triggers and gambling environments", stop passing by or places where you know there is a casino or slot machine, change your routine, lock your computers or "forget" your cell phone at home from time to time. when.... avoiding situations that lead you to the temptation of gambling.
Friends and family are also very important... count on them if you can.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 18, 2024, 12:28:07 AM
~~~
So winning that money he quickly went ahead to get a new bus to continue his public transport business. From his voice he seems like one whose lost hope has been restored by that single win. Gambling can be a life saver too for it's not as bad as non-gamblers portrays it. To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.
There are things like this that only gambling can provide.
For many gamblers, even those who play responsibly, the most they can achieve will be many days of excitement "losing money" but having fun, and in fact that should be the main purpose of those who gamble.
However, a few will always get a big prize unexpectedly. Unfortunately, of those few, there are even fewer who use this earned value wisely.
It is necessary to use this value, or most of it, to invest in other achievements.... be it a long-awaited material good or a long-term investment. But many bettors are greedy and keep betting with the money they won, and lose it all again.
369  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Quais Exchanges são Brasileiras ou possuem Filial regularizada no Brasil. on: January 14, 2024, 10:42:28 PM
Nossas assinaturas são um caso mais complicado ainda, porque nem recebemos de empresas, recebemos de uma carteira anônima que nem sabemos quem é que está pagando  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Ai que mora o problema. Se o dinheiro é vindo do exterior ou não. Ainda não se definiu e nem se definirá se o Bitcoin é do exterior ou não. Mesmo assim, dá para preencher o carnê-leão sem cnpj ou cpf da fonte pagadora. Basta declarar que é do exterior. Na dúvida, não tem outra forma. Enquanto a receita e o bc não esclarecerem a situação.
E eu duvido que eles se darão ao luxo de fazer uma lei ou algo do tipo que explique como deve-se declarar isso equanto estivermos aqui em uma meia dúzia de gato-pingados... por mais que estejamos nos radar deles, ainda não erguemos valor suficiente para incomodar, eu acho.
Nossa sorte, creio eu, é que o @TryNinja preserva a identidade dele muito bem, pois com os milhões que ele já ganhou com Bitcoin e as voltas ao mundo que já deu, se a receita tivesse a certeza de que ele é Brasileiro mesmo e onde morava, já teria feito a casa cair pra todo mundo Cool
Enfim, falando sério, por mais que esse fórum movimente muita grana com as campanhas de assinatura, em território Brasileiro ele é pouco conhecido e não deve estar incomodando a Receita. Não que a gente esteja de fato fazendo algo de errado, eu na verdade nem sei se estou declarando certo, e não é por maldade, mas duvido que eles estejam preocupados em esclarecer isso.
Se alguém aqui cair em malhar fina por esse motivo, que se vire... pensam eles.
370  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: CAMPANHAS DE ASSINATURAS ATUALIZADAS on: January 14, 2024, 10:35:10 PM
Fiquem atentos porque de segunda-feira para terça-feira muitas campanhas de assinaturas fecham o ciclo e é quando eventualmente surgem novas vagas.
Na Duelbits por exemplo, o cliclo se encerra às 08 da noite na Segunda-Feira (horário de Brasília) e o manager já deixou claro na última postagem que estaria "kickando" mais alguns usuários nessas próximas semanas que eventualmente não estejam com boas postagens.... algo assim.
Até o momento eu já resisti à uns 5 cortes desses, então acho que estou fazendo um bom trabalho até então, mas confesso que ele consegue nos deixar com a adrenalina à flor da pela toda vez que chegamos à mais um fechamento de ciclo... na Duelbits não basta cumprir a meta de postagens, é preciso também cumprir a meta de qualidade e agora com as campanhas de assinaturas muito mais disputadas com o banimento dos mixers, bons usuários esperando uma vaga é o que não falta.... espero que eu ainda seja um desses Cheesy
Não percam a esperança... para usuários que postam bons conteúdos sempre haverá espaço, por mais difícil que seja encontrar uma vaga.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 14, 2024, 10:22:34 PM
~ snip long op  Smiley ~
This person's life was already ruined before he even got into gambling, why are you saying that gambling is to blame?
Even though he made a lot of money from gambling at first to support his drug addiction, we cannot blame gambling for the addicted life he was leading before that.
Of all the evils, at least he led a dignified life, as he supported his drug addictions with an honest source of income (at first). Many drug addicts prefer to steal or open a clandestine and fraudulent business to get money faster, this would be a bad thing. But the way you stated this fact, I see nothing wrong with gambling.
What I have seen in online gaming addictions is exactly the opposite.... people who are already addicted to gambling end up contracting other addictions to illicit drugs, alcohol or cigarettes due to the psychological stress that gambling losses cause in the people's minds out of control.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 14, 2024, 10:16:11 PM
I decided to create this topic as a tip to fellow gambler that wants to have a slightly increase chance to win on gambling.
Fella should know when to ride when you are on a win streak. You can test the water first by betting slowly until you get the tempo of winning streak then slowly increase your bet while you are still winning. Stop immediately when you encounter a lose or two because there’s a high chance that you will be tilted and chase loss until you lose everything.
Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink
Great!
Many people think that they should do exactly the opposite... never stop playing while they are losing, under the pretext that they need to recover the lost money.
Even worse is when these people use "unbeatable techniques" like the Martingale which in theory should mean that the bettor never loses money... big mistake.
However, I would just like to add to your OP that even during a winning streak you need to stop playing, because depending on the style of play and bet you are making, it is possible to lose in just two moves what was won in 10 or more past plays.
If it is "not possible" to stop playing, then you should at least reduce the amount, returning to the initial contributions, making a reserve of what has already been won.
373  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Como criar um bot para o Bitcointalk? on: January 13, 2024, 06:00:41 PM
Qualquer lugar do fórum.
A ideia é criar um catalogo de imagens no TalkImg, e em vez dos utilizadores estarem sempre a fazer upload, podem lançar um comando, e por sua vez o bot faz um post com a imagem.
Tipo, quando eu posto:
#talkimg001 é criado um post com o logotipo do TalkImg.
Como digo, a ideia ainda é um pouco abstrata. Quando penso nela, parece-me uma ideia boa, mas as vezes acho que nem tanto.
Enfim... o que acham?
Cara, desculpe o balde de água fria, mas eu acho que pode pode sofrer com alguns problemas nisso aí...
Tá ligado que o fórum possui algumas restrições anti-spam né? Desde o cloudflare para prevençao de DDos até limitações de postagens seguidas pelo próprio sistema do fórum em usuários mais novos (o que inclui uma conta de bot).
Uma opção seria você utilizar a conta do próprio usuário, fazer ele entregar o usuário/senha ao bot que irá editar a própria postagem de forma automatizada, mas tu entende que isso teria uma péssima adesão e sequer é seguro para ti... imagina sua reputação caso algo desse ruim.
Enfim, o bot de sorteios do TryNinja é algo pontual, com postagens eventuais e espaçadas, agora imagina um único "usuário" fazendo centenas de postagens por dia em tudo quanto é canto bo Bitcointalk...
Tá bom, eu sei que você @joker_josue já conseguiu esse feito sem ser bloqueado, mas você ainda possui "padrões humanos" de postagens Cheesy , já para um bot eu tenho dúvidas se isso iria funcionar.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: January 13, 2024, 05:52:32 PM
Botafogo, after losing last season's title, are reshaping their squad
14 players in total have already left the team, most notably goalkeeper Lucas Perri and Adryelson (defender) who have been sold to Lyon (France)
These are two important losses, but Botafogo want to reshape the team considerably
Yes!
Botafogo really opened up space for new signings.
In goal, as far as I know John came to be the starting goalkeeper and in defense Lucas Halter and Barboza who were standouts in Goiás and Libertad will play a very different defense this year.
I'm just not very convinced that Botafogo made good options for the attack... Jeffinho, Savarino?? I don't think it will make a big difference, but we'll see how they interact with the team on the field.
Anyway... there were changes in all sectors of the team, from what I could see, we'll see. For better or worse, something must change.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 05:41:31 PM
One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.
* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.
* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.
* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.
* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .
These manuals work when the person is still aware of the risks of gambling, the problem is when they are already addicted to gambling, they still find themselves in that phase of "denial", believing that everything is fine when in fact they are already addicted to gambling. unlucky.
Some factors that indicate that you have already reached this stage are:
  • When you need to bet increasingly higher amounts to feel emotions;
  • when you bet increasingly larger amounts and are not prepared to lose;
  • When you feel frustrated or angry when you try to reduce your playing time or when you try to stop playing.
  • When you are constantly thinking about sports betting, regardless of the time of day or the activity you are doing, and this includes work and leisure time with friends and family.
  • Finally, I think the main factor is when you realize that you are even lying to your parents or partner about your gambling activity and the amount of your bets/losses.
Any of these factors is a sign that you are already addicted, but that there is still time to reverse the situation.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 13, 2024, 05:31:53 PM
Do you believe that you will be more disciplined in sports betting if you have a dedicated bankroll?
I don't think so!
If I don't have enough money to lose on a bet, I would hardly invest more money to try to recover what was lost.
Think about it this way... even if the person has a reserved balance of $50 for the game, when that money runs out, won't they spend another $20, $50 or $100 on top of that amount to play? If she does this, she will have to recover the loss in the same way.
So, a person who is undisciplined, even if they have an amount to spend, will not be able to limit themselves and control their spending.
The secret of not getting into debt is not whether or not you have money, it is the player's discipline and awareness in making responsible bets.
377  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: ETF BITCOIN APROVADO ? - CONTA SEC HACKEADA on: January 12, 2024, 01:47:22 AM
É OFICIAL. ETF APROVADO!
Pois é, não se pode vencer todas... eu já gastei toda a minha bola de cristal ao vislumbrar o preço do BTC para o final do ano passado em um momento em um patamar que ninguém acreditava que ele chegaria, ainda estou muito fraco para ter visto que o ETF seria aprovado, por isso sempre fui contra.
Mesmo que ue não tenha vendido meus BTC, ainda acho que esse teria sido o movimento mais correto... vejam que o valor dele praticamente não mexeu, prova de que o mercado realmente já tinha se adiantado à compra...estavam realmente todos otimistas quanto à essa aprovação?
O americano costuma comprar a bolsa mensalmente, e por isso ela vai subindo aos poucos com os aportes. É possível que o ETF do bitcoin entre nessa.
Deve ser um aumento gradual, assim como foi o do ouro
Concordo, mas tenho certeza que muita gente acreditava em um PUMP um pouco maior.
De qualquer forma, sigo com os aportes mensais, acredito que 2024 será muito bom para o Bitcoin, só precisamos que alguém dê um jeito nesses Ordinals.
378  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Voce já verificou se possui algum satoshi raro em seus endereços? on: January 12, 2024, 01:38:19 AM
nao duvido que ja tem gente pensando em meios de minerar esses satoshis raros  Roll Eyes
Minar como!?
Esses satoshis já foram minados. O incrível é pensar, como existe malta a querer dar mais dinheiro por esses satoshis.
Eu não fico surpreso... em 7 anos de cripto já vi de tudo, e os NFTs e Memecoins foram os piores.
Tudo bem... NFT eu até engulo porque tem muita gente que realmente mereceu ganhar dinheiro com isso, mas também vi muita gente criando "qualquer ciosa" e lucrando milhões em algo que não valia nada. Como conseguiram isso? propaganda! sempre tem um espertalhão querendo pagar caro acreditando que vai conseguir lucrar 3x mais depois.
Já os memecoins não se salva nenhum, tudo oque vi são coisas sem propósito ou serventia nenhuma além de encher os bolsos de alguém.
E sobre esses satoshis raros  minha opinião é a mesma, por mais que alguém diga que isso possa ser um "item de colecionador", pra mim é apenas mais um motivo para alguém lucrar à custo de algo que não vale nada à mais.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 12, 2024, 01:32:45 AM
What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers you've heard or read, So They Can Continue Gambling
Ok, disregarding those who play just for fun/entertainment and who are not worried about losing money, we have those who play to get "rich", but why do they believe that?
I think the main reason they keep playing even though they lose is because we think that after they lose several times, they believe they will win the next time. For example, we bet that a coin will land “Heads”, and we know that the chance of winning is 50%, but what if “Tails” had already come up “Tails” ten times in a row in the bets, perhaps you think that the chance of it coming up “Heads” ” this time it is greater than 50%, since “Tails” has come out many times, so at some point “Heads” will start to come out, and many really believe that... especially those who bet still believing in the Martingale technique.
But in reality this is not what happens, the coin is the same as always and continues with the same probability of 50% for both sides... it is difficult to explain this to someone who is already addicted to gambling, but the Mathematics is king and casinos even more so when they program their machines to give you chances of winning with just a little more than 50%
No matter how much humanity evolves, gambling will always be our weakness Tongue
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is the money manager? is it a casino or game provider? on: January 12, 2024, 01:22:18 AM
Most of the games in online casinos come from third parties or game providers such as Pragmatic Play, Bgaming, Pgsoft, Play'N Go, etc. When playing at any casino, we will use their services. Perhaps only the house edge games are fully owned and powered by the casino
So who actually manages finances? is it the casino itself or the game provider? Does the casino only get a commission from the game provider or buy the game license from the game provider?
I'm not sure, but I believe that the casino is the one who manages all the inflow and outflow of money, after all, user deposits are made in the casino's wallets, right?
What game providers should do is periodically "issue a charge" to the casinos demanding their share of the profits... obviously, with each player's "play", the game provider immediately knows what the amount was bet and what the amount was eventually paid to the player, then they just need to calculate their part of the commission and ask the casino to make the payment.
For newer casinos, this may be different, I believe that owners of casinos without reputation even need to make payments in advance or provide some reliable collateral.
