121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: May 27, 2024, 01:26:13 PM
Casino will not lets you wins many times and will trying to beat you. We knows that is easy for the casino doing that, especially we are in their place and they runs their business.
Even if we wins and not stops ourselves from gambling, they will gets our money and beat us until we don't have money. We will lose all of our money without a chance to double our money from gambling.
They don't have to try and beat you, gambling is always leaning towards the house and most of the games in there have an odds that's always stacked against the player so I'm sure that there's no need for them to try so hard, the only thing that the casino owners have to do is to just watch out for cheaters and players that are playing in games that don't have a really good house edge for them and those players are winning. It's no secret that they're going to end up like that, the more you try to chase losses and the more you try to hope that you will eventually win big, then the more unlikely that you're going to win it and your losses would go even more.
We must realizes about that and only use gambling occasionally to have fun. When we realizes that we can not double our money in gambling, we must trying to playing gambling moderately to prevents the big lose.
I don't think that realization should happen during the gambling sessions, that should've happened the moment before and you should know about it before you're even playing, playing moderately should've been the thing for someone before they gamble.

123  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Heisenberg63 is lyer/scammer on: May 26, 2024, 11:34:11 AM
This just makes the Internet strangers less trustworthy than they already are, it's a sad thing that people are still doing this kind of stuff where they try to make you let your guard down and then suddenly pull down from under the rug the trust that you've given to them, it's such a sad thing that this is happening, hopefully OP finds the will to pursue legal action or do an investigation regarding this matter, I'm sure that it's not a bad idea to do it, at the least keep this scammer on his toes, make this person pay his sins with paranoia and anxiety, I'm sure that he will love that kind of thing and that's the best that you can do in this situation until he gives up and brings you back the money.
124  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Does a newbie warning flag about this need a lot of explanation? on: May 26, 2024, 10:46:37 AM
It's a too good to be true scam service, why would you doubt yourself about that kind of problem, in this situation, it's okay to doubt at first and then have the issue of taking back the flag later, I mean it's smells fishy already so why can't we just trust our guts that it's definitely a scam, because sometimes, gut feeling is right. Regarding the explanation, people aren't stupid, you can just put in the reference and then in the remarks, just say that this person is promoting a scam, don't trust them, concise and direct to the point sometimes is enough to deliver what you're trying to say.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 26, 2024, 09:51:50 AM
Well, a lot of things could happen if society encounters gambling at an early age then it could seep into the parts of relationships, health, social interactions, and just pure mayhem just because of the addictions. We all know that it's addictive and could lead to deceit like what the other people have said.

As members of society, we all know the overall effects but it's up to the person whether he will have control.
Which means that it's not the gambling that's causing something bad to a person but rather it's the society where that person grew up in that is at fault, if that's the implied meaning here then I do agree because if you grew up in a society that values money even more than the individual then it's bound to happen that people would resort to something that would care about them even if it's fake and temporary and something that will promise them a light at the end of the tunnel, people will go to that thing and use it, that's why addiction is still a prevalent things, it's never going to be different if we continue to conform and follow what the society that we're living in tries to shape us into.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: May 26, 2024, 09:14:53 AM
This thread needs to be closed, I don't even know if there's anything that's not yet discussed that's in this thread, pretty sure that what you can do when you're losing in gambling is not a lot of things, it will complicate your life and at the same time, you might not even arrived at a conclusion. Here's a simple thing that you can do when you're losing in gambling, stop worrying about it and move on, do the logical thing which is quitting while you still have some funds that you can spend on other things and while you still have some self-respect in you.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: May 26, 2024, 08:32:30 AM
Gambling has negative effects by age especially for those below 18 years the negative effects of gambling will be more because gambling can seriously affect their career development. But for those who are old and living a lonely life, life can be one of the main sources of entertainment because gambling can be a pastime to pass the time in their lonely life. But the guardians of the family in which the father and son live together should basically refrain from gambling because the younger sons and daughters of that family may develop a kind of gambling interest in the children after seeing the participation of the guardians in this gambling, and those younger sons and daughters will also become one of them later.
There's no especially, everyone gets the same effect, we're just biased with the amplification because we think that age has anything to do with the intensity when there's really no difference, addiction hits everyone the same, the difference starts when they're affecting people that's beside their closest relatives and friend. Definitely a good thing to always teach by example, that's basically how you will make sure that you're not going to make things worse for you and your children because when they see that you're not gambling, that would also mean that you're not gambling thus lowering the chances of you getting addicted.
128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All in my head.. on: May 26, 2024, 07:21:40 AM
You're not wrong, if they hate crypto enough, they will want it gone but the real problem that's plaguing those cryptocurrency haters is that even with all those influence and power at their disposal, they're still going to need to make sure that there's deniability available to them and that no one would be able to stick things to them because they don't want the backlash that will definitely be coming when they start their war with cryptocurrency, they don't know the implications yet and they dread that feeling.

The wonderful thing is that if there was something to happen in crypto that impacts it negatively including the community, they're going to be the first in the list of suspects especially if they suddenly are benefiting from it, there's no way that they can't be involved.

Those addicts win sometimes but the problem is that those wins don't go anywhere but gambling again and at the same time, those wins that they can get out is mostly spent on other vices, that's why they end up with nothing more and get less money than they should and end up piling more debts plus most of the big wins that they got even they use it wisely, it will end up in the debts and they're useless after all the debt is paid.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Judge Mellor's Judgement on Craig Wright (not) being Satoshi on: May 26, 2024, 01:55:07 AM
Finally, if a judge finalizes this on paper, we can now all troll CSW for claiming to be Satoshi, probably the worst of things for him to continue the lie that he is Satoshi is just far too preposterous.

Hopefully his supporters would finally stop with all the fervor about him being Satoshi, he was asked for the proofs and evidences of his identity but he was never able to present it, what did he expect? That people would take his word for it. This is a classic example of an exploitative businessman that doesn't know any better and only sees bitcoin as a way for him to take advantage of other people not profit from it.

Really awesome too that COPA will be compensated for all the headaches that was given to them by this charlatan, I guess another big win for bitcoin and hopefully we can expect the price to be affected by this news in a positive way.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Silver/USD is at its highest since 2013 on: May 25, 2024, 03:44:05 PM
Good for those that have brought some silver but even at their highs right now, I don't think that it's ever enough for me to convince that the prices for this precious metals going is ever going to go up anytime soon, I'm pretty sure that it won't be able to beat bitcoin anytime soon. It's not really advisable to hoard gold, silver, or any precious metals because they're difficult to store and in dire situations where there's still a government in existence, they'll definitely seize those because they're going to need to keep up the government and what better way to get money than to sell precious metals that's either from the vault of your country or seizures from the people in their domain.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: Carbon markets and climate change mitigation, Are we in the right direction? on: May 25, 2024, 02:56:06 PM
It is really a threat to the environment because it is changing the climate very fast.  Carbon dioxide is polluting the environment at a large rate. Carbon monoxide is also very toxic. The environment is being polluted very badly for the factories that produce carbon. Because of this, the climate is changing and everyone in the world is suffering from it. But less developed countries are more.  the victim  Apart from the carbon producing factories, we should also look at the reasons that the environment is being polluted due to many other reasons.
The problem is that if we stop doing all of those things that create pollutants, the economy will take a big hit and not everyone is going to be happy of a clean and green mindset because those pollutants are the ones that are making them the money so even if the effects are obvious and the scientists that says that there's something big that will affect all of us in the future are continued to being ignored, we will never see any changes and the thing that we're feeling right now is only going to get way worse so brace yourselves because it's going to be a wild ride for everyone with the continued industrialization of our world to the point of living in pollutants.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Allow Non-investors to discourage you in your Bitcoin journey...? on: May 24, 2024, 02:58:14 PM
That's probably the most backwards way that you can do when it comes to needing an advice in your bitcoin investment journey, it's like asking a farmer how to fish, you won't get the right answers or worse, you might be misinformed about certain stuff. It's really sad for someone to be discouraged by someone that doesn't know anything about bitcoin but I've heard one of such case back then, it was also stupid on that person's side so he's not free of the blame at all, he followed the advice of investing into this pyramid scheme instead of bitcoin and there was some prosperous days during those times but ultimately, he didn't get anything because it was a pyramid scheme, that person that stopped him from investing in bitcoin ended up running away with all the investment, it's a tragedy.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Previous vs Current Cycle on: May 24, 2024, 02:04:54 PM
Interesting, seems we are ahead of the previous fractal currently. Let’s hope that continues, I actually think we will go higher than $172,000 but it would still be a nice price if that’s where it tops out at. I think over $200,000 is likely. Let’s wait & see though, only way to find out.
I hope that it's going to go over $200k because that would be a real game changer for bitcoin investment and it's a really big profit for everyone of us if it happens, going at $200k would mean that the value is going to go down to a much lower level especially when you're just starting to invest, you would regret not buying at $50k of bitcoin because you'll see that the floor price will move up and it will never go lower than that anymore, and if the unexpected happens and bitcoin did go down at really high amounts, people will clamor again that it's the end of bitcoin and that people are going to be quitting in investing left and right, it's a really big winter if bitcoin reaches $200k.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2024, 01:19:55 PM
That's not for us to say, $20k isn't a lot of numbers for bitcoin to easily cross in just a month and I believe that there's probably even more surprises in that six weeks, it's still unknown but with the volatility of bitcoin and following the chart of the previous halving cycle, I think that we're within bounds that in six weeks, we would see bitcoin go up to that price or maybe even higher, it's not easy though as there's resistances at certain points in the market. Hopefully, a lot of us are prepared for whatever is coming because if you're not then you'll end up losing when what you didn't account for happens.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Reach 100k USD in 2025? on: May 24, 2024, 12:48:48 PM
It will probably reach a $100k this year, I mean there's always that possibility plus there's a supporting fact that bitcoin is teetering at 70k now and then which means that the possibility is just getting higher and higher as time goes by, that's how it is when it comes to prediction, trying to make some connections out of the possible scenarios that are happening in the market. 2025 is still a long time coming so I'm pretty sure that $100k isn't really that big of a deal when it comes to bitcoin, just go on and accumulate as much bitcoin as you can and you'd probably be able to get a huge profit, just trust the process and you'll be fine.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be aware that the government and the haters envies your progress on BTC on: May 24, 2024, 06:57:13 AM
The government has always been an antagonist of the bitcoin ecosystem ever since so I don't think that we need to be reminded of that fact because that's already a common knowledge, not to mention that most country's governments are always trying to control bitcoin but failed to do so. Basically it's inevitable that bitcoin will have this kind of haters no matter what and @pinggoki is right, it will always be that way and whatever you do against it, it's useless because it will not be worth it to deal with and you're probably just going to waste time and energy fighting against them.
139  Economy / Economics / Re: Work From Home or The "Laptop Class" is Immoral or Not? on: May 24, 2024, 02:35:01 AM
Work from home is a really good way for employees to become productive about their work, the debate that it's making people lazy isn't true because if it was then, how come those companies that were doing it during the pandemic were thriving or was able to survive or maybe even increase their profits despite being a work from home is the norm for most workers? There's already a study that was published if I recall that it made more employees happier or the company made more money during their stint with the work from home set up.

The real reason that they're saying that work from home set up is bad for the company is because of people the real estate value of the buildings that those companies were built into are lowering in value since there's not a lot of people that are using it, they want you and every employee to go back there so the property will get it's value back up, that's all there is to it. If you're talking about online classes for children, it's a really bad idea for kids to learn that way, it's been proven already in my country that those that did get to experience online class are quickly promoted to the point that they end up being non-readers or their learning levels aren't suitable to the school year that they're in.
