Ye well guys it was just a joke If it was then it was the joke of the year Because it is near impossible that 0.7 btc turns into 170 btc in one year or so, someone could say 7 btc could have been a better one though that is also not possible but looks quite easier to be done, otherwise without work or maybe robbery that is not possible. You know God is omnipotent, right? (and again, /sarcasm, I'm atheist )

The fact that there are less than 50 servers scares me quite a bit. What happens if all the Electrum servers go offline?
If all 50 servers disappear, you can still set up your own And with that one I can then send my BTC to a non-light wallet, by making a last transfer from Electrum to another BTC address, right? Indeed. OK, thank you However, aren't 50 server a bit few? I mean, I didn't have performance problems up to now, but in the future?

Does someone has any suggestions how to make 17 BTC with 7 BTC starting capital in short period of time?
You can make 170 BTC from 0.7 BTC in one year, if you pray very very very very very very much and go to church every day 2 times and on Sunday morning as well. Do you mean he should hold those 0.7 btc and pray for price increase and he will get 170 btc from that 0.7 btc? Lol, don't you think he won't survive until that time? will he be alive until then? I don't think so. He will pray, something will happen, God will multiply those Satoshi!

Never took OP's word seriously. OP sounds like a complete idiot and I never believed this individual for a moment. Haha, this individual lost so much money waiting and thinking Ethereum was a joke. If you look at my previous post on February 10th, OP is raging because this individual missed the Ethereum train while it was cheap. Yes indeed this company is making 40000$ a day lol, I don't think they are in a shed in the woods:D I actually looked up poloniex, and you can just find the owner on linkedin and on google. So go look for yourself instead of believing this guy. How do you know they make 40000$ a day? Because they take 0.2% fee on every transaction! So I calculated that with a 50000 Bitcoin a day volume on that site 50000 Bitcoin /100 x 0.2%=100 Bitcoins A day, And 100 bitcoins x 400$ = 40000$ And sometimes Ethereum alone pulls like 80k volume a day so that calculation is low in my opinion. Thank you, dude, I feel stupid I didn't think to it

Dont bother replying to this thread OP deletes posts of reason against his absurdity.....Troll thread I am not the thread OP, I was just curious about how he came to that conclusion, and the reasoning is pretty solid.

When they say the were hacked it's maybe too late to worry...
this is the worst thing that can happen. in the past couple of days there has been two nail biting situations with both Poloneix and btc-e that both of them were luckily solved in time. that would have been so bad if two other would have joined the list of scam exchangers like cryptsy. Was DDoS attack, not hacking.

Tell me one thing: do the websites POLONIEX.COM and WWW.POLONIEX.COM point to different addresses?
One is a sub-domain of the other and they should both resolve to the same site - they have automatic redirection so you get to the correct site whichever you type. But they are both resolved in the same IP, am I wrong? That's why I can't understand why this is a DNS problem.

... Thank you, I did it. However, I can't see how can it be possible that poloniex.com works and www.poloniex.com doesn't. polonex.com and poloniex.com are two different things, if you are logged in poloniex.com you are not logged in on www.poloniex.com, basically the verification emails that are from poloniex are with "www" before. But this has nothing to do with DNS, as far as I know. comment #4 by you, you said "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" this is problem with DNS and since you said you could access it in IE and not in Chrome you should flush chrome's dns log not windows (google it how) chrome://net-internals/#dns Tell me one thing: do the websites POLONIEX.COM and WWW.POLONIEX.COM point to different addresses?

Yes but I had problem between poloniex.com and www.poloniex.com. And this doesn't relate to DNS and doesn't relate to DDoS attack either.

Just uncovered that it's a Chrome related problem. If I send the link www.poloniex.com to my friend on FB, FB makes the preview. This means the website works. And in fact, it works on my mobile phone and on Explorer. But on Chrome I get this message: This webpage is not available DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN Turns out for some reason www.poloniex.com doesn't work, but poloniex.com works. I don't know why. Also, www.poloniex.com comes up in the history of websites visited recently, and that's why I kept having problems. If I type exactly only poloniex.com, it works. Duh. it is a problem in your dns to fix it if you are in windows, open cmd and write what is between the brackets ( ipconfig /flushdns ) and press enter then open the site without problems Thank you! I opened ipconfig, but flushdns said that is not recognized as an internal or external command this is a one line command , do not press enter before writing the whole line including the space between ipconfig and / Thank you, I did it. However, I can't see how can it be possible that poloniex.com works and www.poloniex.com doesn't.

They are being constantly under DDOS attack for two times as noted by poloniex official twitter handler over here https://twitter.com/poloniexi am also waiting them to come back online. Oh, I imagined that, but I wasn't sure, not using Twitter... thank you. However something strange happens: I can access the mobile version from my smartphone, but I can't get into the website from Chrome on Win7. But it works entering with Explorer.
