121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: October 29, 2017, 04:31:16 AM
new be here, i saw the WTC coin have a good performance on Binance and i would like to do some research, it seems to be Chinese coin and only listed on Binance, right?

Apart from a few small negligible exchanges that are listing it yes, Walton is only listed on Binance. But Binance is quite picky with their listings so it probably means that they saw something good with Walton that made them list it.

Right now the price has been down a bit from the 1st of October.

Could be a great price to buy in right now.
122  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sent BTC to bitmixer2 and it's been over 24 hours and still haven't forwarded on: October 29, 2017, 04:28:36 AM
Appreciate the help.  I'll take this L and learn from it..

That's my man, take the L and learn from it.

Mixing service scams are commonplace here. The reason being that the amounts that people usually trust mixers with are high and with a Tor phishing link or even clearnet phishing link, it's easy for people to get scammed.

Never, ever click on a google ads link or an unknown mixer without an announcement thread on bitcointalk.
123  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should I Invest in Bitminer.io? on: October 29, 2017, 04:24:51 AM
Use this site to always evaluate the site you want to invest in if you are not sure: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-scam-test/

The site that you have mentioned in the OP is a classic scam where they give you some coins to start with but require you to give them some bitcoins in order for you to withdraw the coins that you have earned for free.

Please don't give these scammers anything.
124  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitconnect expo held - mostly asians were the top contributors? on: October 29, 2017, 04:21:08 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXI5eGJK-CY

After watching this being a pretty big event for their contributors.
I noticed almost all the top people who were voted to get prizes were asians.
Even the ones from different countries.

I know this was held in Thailand but still.
Is bitconnect more attractive to asian people to use than other minorites? Huh

Please move this to altcoin discussion.

I don't know why they are so many Asians, but since the event is held in Asia you sort of assume that most of the honours are going to go to Asians. Also if you haven't realised yet, bitconnect is a ponzi scheme.

Traditionally, Thailand, Indonesia, China etc. has all been very keen ponzi investors in the Mavrodi scene. Bitconnect being a similar thing, it's really no surprise.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Hackable? on: October 29, 2017, 04:16:48 AM
Now everyone is investing heavily on Bitcoin. But can anyone hack this Bitakayena? If Bitcoin means hacks, then there will be a lot of damage. Where is Bitcoin's hidden security?

Cryptography is what is behind everything in bitcoin.

There is always a chance that someone can guess your passphrase or your private key. There are actually projects that are actively trying to do this called bitcoin colliders, however they have very rarely succeeded. And out of the few times they have succeeded some think that it's fraudulent.

With the right security measures, bitcoin is much more secure than traditinoal banking or credit cards.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What websites do you use as a cryptocurrency enthusiast/investor/trader? on: October 29, 2017, 03:58:43 AM
Hi Everyone, would love to hear what websites you use daily/weekly/monthly as a cryptocurrency enthusiast/investor/trader and why the chosen ones?

Thanks, loads!

A go to site for every single cryptocurrency investor/enthusiast should be coinmarketcap. It essentially lists everything you need about the altcoins thaty ou want to buy in/take a deeper look at. For example price, total circulation, etc.

Coingecko also is a good one, it provides deeper analysis of the rankings.

Hope this helped you!
127  Economy / Reputation / Re: How can deleted negative trust from VOD on: October 29, 2017, 02:25:31 AM
Doesn't vod have some system where if you actively participate in the community for a set amount of time, he'll remove the neg from you as long as you don't scam anyone else? Pretty sure this applies for loans only, so you may run into some luck.

Explain to him the situation and see what he replies as.

You can't delete trust, it's unmoderated.
128  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scam hitbit.com on: October 29, 2017, 02:22:01 AM
So still absolutely no progression with trying to get your money back?

It seems celar enough to me that if the spreads are so damn high, why would anyone in their sane mind just eat the spread without actually wanting to accumulate any of this FUN coin? It's either a job from the inside or someone got access to your computer.

It's hard to prove either way, but i'm avoiding HitBTC.
129  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: can't trust bittrex anymore. be careful on: October 29, 2017, 02:19:33 AM
Guys, do NOT store coins in any wallet which you do not control. A safe wallet is one where the private keys are controlled, owned and known by you and you alone. As in the case with Bittrex, they control all the keys so there is no way you can access those coins unless and until they unlock these blocked accounts.

There should be a list of errant and rogue exchanges. And they should be advertised and publicly listed for the well being and safety of the bitcoin community's assets. We now have, among others, Yobit and Bittrex as candidates for this list.

Scary and disturbing that nobody knows who owns and controls this exchange. Sending all these ID to a stranger (not to mention the already locked coins) is extremely risky.

Exactly, and spot on.

If you absolutely have to use bittrex make sure that you move your coin out of there as soon as you finish your trading. If you are a day trader you are much better to just download the official wallet software and run it yourself, without having to deal with counterparty risk.

Bittrex recently have seen a surge of blocked accounts and withdrawals, and it shouldn't come as a surprise to you.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: October 29, 2017, 02:17:16 AM
They marketing it as some sort of life saving way to get poor people out of poverty when all they really do is rob money from everyone that participates in the scheme apart from the elite few who refers everyone.

Like come on, this is an obvious pyramid/ponzi.

I can't believe how stupid people are, including exchanges that lists the coin.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 100x-1000x coin? on: October 28, 2017, 04:09:19 AM
NEBLIO & DEEPONION

But the NEBLIO is already on fire

while DEEPONION will start to rocket once the airdrop campaigns are end by the next year

I mean Deeponion is not the most legit project but i think that people will buy into the fomo once it starts happening. About Neblio, it's not really on fire. It's actually down by 10% today if you look at coinmarketcap charts but it is gradually building up price.

Both projects need a big exchange to operate on.

Nova & cryptopia are good exchanges but nobody looks there, tbh. Once they get listed on binance/bittrex, they'll get more interest.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SWIFT up 300% in a few days on: October 28, 2017, 04:07:19 AM
Volume is extremely low so i would think that it is probably a result of a pump and dump group working together to manipulate the markets. And if you look at SWIFT historically you'll see what i'm talking about.

Basically there are no sustained pumps with SWIFT, therefore there is really no real long term holders.

Only pump and dumps, which is extremely bad for coin's image.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MADESAFECOIN, STORJ, SUBSTRATUM, SHIFT, SIACOIN on: October 28, 2017, 04:04:20 AM
MADESAFECOIN,  STORJ, SUBSTRATUM, SHIFT,  SIACOIN

Which  one   will bring  the decentralized internet,  in your  opinion?

ALSO  I HAVE searched  for  another  ICO  with  the same  purpose:  INternxt.

It has the same  purpose:  decentralized internet.
Also I see  many concernes  about  shift  project.... somebody say '' It's  nothing special, because  it's linked to  IPFS....so basically nothing  new....''... basically  they say  ''SHIFT  IS  NOTHING  NEW IN THE DECENTRALIZED INTERNET  field''... (because  there is already IPFS)

My question to  you,   that  you  are wiser  than me  and maybe smarter traders than me,   is:

which  one  in your  opinion will finally bring us the decentralized  Internet?

I always thought that Storj was more about bringing decentralized storage instead of a decentralized internet, but maidsafecoin is actually building on a decentralized internet altogether. I could be wrong, though.

Maid has been ignored for the past year or so, with the price going absolutely nowhere. I think that interest in the project is so low that it cannot go any lower at the moment. It's the best buy out of all the options imo.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Westerncoin ICO - Overview on: October 28, 2017, 04:02:59 AM
So this is like Bitconnect and Regalcoin... Another project that is promising for lending returns to its users with an ICO, that will eventually collapse because it is an obvious ponzi scheme. 45% monthly returns on your coins is just too good to be true.

I would not recommending investing. Even though Regalcoin and Bitconnect have succeeded doesn't mean this project will.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: October 28, 2017, 03:41:41 AM
Is it still worth to invest in BCC ? i was thinking to invest 1k usd , but 50% of all internet saying its scam , another 50 saying this is free money...

Don't do it. The price has already increased so much that Bitconnect is now in the top 10.

If 2 DT members have tagged their main accounts already then it's probably not the smartest idea to invest $1k in them, which is a huge sum of money for anyone to have. If you think about it, it is essentially a ponzi disguised as a cryptocurrency.

Even if they go up, it won't be much. The gains that have been made has been almost fantastical and can't continue forever.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ++ Batmans Friday HOT PICK: Why Are You NOT in This Coin?+++ (video Llnks) on: October 28, 2017, 03:39:37 AM
The price seems steadily climbing over the past few weeks with some corrections here and there, and i do think that an impending pump that is going to be huge may be coming for this coin. If you can explain to others what this project is about, that is probably best. Put that info in your OP as well.

Right now this coin is only trading on cryptopia and it's getting consistently $300k+ volume per day.

Once it gets big exchanges to list it, price to $20 is easy.
137  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Centra, a scam in the making? on: October 28, 2017, 03:23:27 AM
I was contacted by another project that may be connected to Centra.

A project called Lydian that has supposed raised 10 mil in the presale and also has the same bounty manager as Centra.

I first asked for proof of this 10 mil raised, but they kept avoiding my question and they can't even afford to do anything that involved btc, which is weird since they raised 10 mil I was invited in a group, which I unluckily left and was also invited in a secret chat, but I can't take screenshots of the chat.

I also asked for a escrow for ico and was ignored. Super fucking dodgy.

Having the same bounty manager doesn't mean that it's the same founder.

All i can see from Centra is the fact that their cards are super overpriced. The centra blue card as listed on their site here: https://www.centra.tech/products/index.html costs 5 ETH. Just for a bitcoin debit card.

I'm not sure why people are willing to pay the ETH to get a card, let alone contribute in their ICO.
138  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: XCOINS.IO Automates the Process of Making Money with Bitcoin [OFFICIAL] on: October 28, 2017, 02:20:52 AM
My affiliate commissions have stopped updating since 6/25/2017 (almost a month). I have contacted support twice and had no response as of yet. I have 600 level 1 referrals and was receiving multiple commissions per day, so it is most likely an error with their affiliate tracking software. This is unfortunate because their affiliate program converts well and was earning decent commissions.

I would not advise promoting this program or using their services until it is fixed.

Any updates till this day? Have your referral commissions went back to normal or is it still unfixed on xcoin's end?

My query is why xcoins is offering their service as a lending service when it is obviously a marketplace where sellers of bitcoin gets matched up with buyers of bitcoin(using solidtrustpay/paypal/etc.). What exactly is the reasoning for the "lending" story?

Other than that, i can see myself selling some coins on their site fairly soon.
139  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: DashBargain.com - buy anything online with Bitcoin! on: October 28, 2017, 02:18:49 AM
Since you guys use coinpayments you actually accept every single altcoin that coinpayments support, not just Dash, is that right?

What exactly am i able to order? Is there a country specification or specific payment method that you guys work on(aka only sites that accept paypal or whatever), or is it global and i can even buy stuff from taobao, for instance?

Also what is the refunds/exchanges procedure? Thanks!
140  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ⤷ CoinBuzz.stream — Slick Cryptocurrency News Aggregator on: October 28, 2017, 02:16:35 AM
Looks nice! I like how you have everything in one place, essentially. If you can provide some charts on your site as well then you could definitely make your site into a very popular site just like coinmarketcap.

Maybe also order the news for individual coins in terms of market cap?

Right now, it's somewhat messy.
