Qualche mese fa ho preparato un videotutorial sul mio canale YouTube con istruzioni passo-passo per acquistare Bitcoin o altre criptomonete con commissioni davvero bassissime. Io uso questo metodo molto frequentemente, mi ci trovo benissimo e ha fatto risparmiare a me e ai follower del mio canale non poco denaro. Si, è disapprovato come vendere e comprare account del forum (non è visto di buon occhio). Recentemente ho letto che non è contro il regolamento del forum vendere e comprare merit(s) (detto da un moderatore globale). Detto ciò che pensate di questa affermazione? What I can say, is that if someone is sending you unsolicited PMs, that IS however against the forum rules, so if you report their message, they will be banned.

Ovviamente come è possibile vedere molti altri legendary non si interessano di dare merit visto che sono i primi a partecipare alle bounty quindi fa comodo eliminare la concorrenza. Considerando che appunto il sistema prevede che i livelli bassi non possono dare praticamente mai merit (e la maggioranza delle persone qui nel forum italiano sono utenti con un rank molto basso) e che i livelli alti, che sono quelli che hanno più merit, non incentivano il sistema o comunque la distribuzione, si può capire che nel forum italiano si sia raggiunto il massimo splendore del sistema dei "freezit".
Detto ciò oramai non possiamo fare altro che convivere con questo sistema e adeguarci, tanto non lo toglieranno mai: a meno che ovviamente la maggior parte delle persone non comincino a non postare più, ma ovviamente ci sarà sempre chi comunque rimarrà a prescindere, vuoi per lo status oramai acquisito, vuoi perchè se altri se ne vanno rimane più carne al fuoco per chi rimane, e quindi non si risolverà mai niente.
Io recentemente sono diventato un "merit source" ed è proprio grazie al fatto che non avevo nessuna signature, non partecipo a bounties di nessun genere. Praticamente sono legendary, ma non ho nessun tipo di guadagno grazie al mio rank. |

cmq son arrivato a tipo 80 account controllati ed è uno schifo, ci son infinit account "sospetti",almeno una decina sono probabli scambi di smerit tra alt solo che non riesco a linkarli tra di loro su 80 account controlati: 10 riportati 28 dubbi (alt/seller) senza collegamenti provati 42 sembrano veritieri il + succoso è uno con 3 possibili alt e 30k divisi 10 - 10 -10 su 3 conti, ma non sono riscito a trovare tranzazioni tra questi account  a cui sembrano essere collegati altri 3-4 sub accounts per chi volesse ho caricato il file qui: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IxGZsbItpO59fVGaaIKSqMebRVDhvbHhpmeKOeo922w/edit?usp=sharingclick su file> crea copia> e potete fare quello che vi pare +1 merit per te, ottimo lavoro. |

Quindi la logica è chi prima arriva meglio si accomoda ? Per carità - ci può anche stare - ma allora lo si dica chiaramente visto che invece ci vengono a raccontare che i Merit sono stati introdotti per evitare lo spam e migliorare la qualità dei post. Invece no: scopo dei Merit è premiare chi è arrivato prima indipendentemente dal fatto che nei precedenti 4/5 anni possa aver fatto post nei quali parlava della Juve, e bloccare gli ultimi arrivati. Ripeto: bisogna accettarlo (il forum è privato) ma almeno diciamo chiaramente come stanno le cose. Non credo sia quello li lo scopo principale (premiare chi è arrivato prima) del sistema Merit. A lungo termine si vedrà, imho, un calo molto drastico dei post inutili, dello spam in generale e della gente che partecipa al forum solo per guadagnare dalle campagne signature. La logica ifirst come first served funziona ovunque, pure io posso lamentarmi dei primi early adopters che hanno minato bitcoin usando il proprio computer di casa... ma non lo faccio (è andata cosi, sono arrivati prima). |

I believe a lot of the shitposting and account creating is continuing because newbies believe merit will go away. They see threads about ditching merit and they get excited and tell their friends everything will be back to normal soon. We must send a clear, unwavering signal that the merit system is working as intended and is here to stay! E ovviamente cosa volete che dica? Per forza di cose è contento del sistema, lui oramai sta a posto. Lui come altri utenti si è iscritto molti anni fa, diciamo che si è guadagnato il rank legendary. You were talking about developers, there are some mods that are/have been also developer here (IIRC).
I've assumed they were talking about the people working on epochtalk (that's where the actual development is taking place, slowly). Moderators/Staff and Developers are two different pair of shoes, although a single person can be in either of those groups (or in both), they souldn't be mixed up. I don't think he was talking about the new forum software "epochtalk", I think he was talking about this actual forum (bitcointalk.org) |

Donations (the button right next to your profile button in the header) were keeping the forum alive in the first time.
Nowadays, most of the income the forum makes comes from the ad-auctions (forum ads shown between the first and second reply on each site).
Also, there's paid memberships (the copper members), but I suspect that only makes for a very small part.
tl;dr: Forum advertisements. No signature campaigns.
