Hello everyone,

I'm totally new and I don't have a steady source of income so I'm looking for some help, nice to meet you all 😊
Cryptocurrency is not a pot of gold or a quick-to-rich scheme and you will never make the money involved in crypto if all your focus is on the money aspect.
What you need to seek first is knowledge which is what will guide you and let you see beyond your imagination.
Most early Bitcoin investors and miners have this knowledge is the reason why they join early when others doubt the potential of BTC.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at its ATH of 2023 so far on: December 02, 2023, 09:58:20 PM
https://www.livemint.com/market/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-surges-2-87-to-its-highest-level-this-year-11701429005470.html

Bitcoin has surged for 2.87% today and reached the highest level in 2023. Does this year has more surprises for us and we can break all time high of bitcoin ?
Based on the price statistics of the Bitcoin market in a few months before the halving month, there are always a lot of market surprises with the up and down trends of the market before the total rally market.
There's a lot of prediction that the next year's rally market will be in the form of something we have never experienced in the crypto market.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 02, 2023, 09:32:17 PM
Sorry about what happened to you especially now that the bull market is coming but the chance of you getting the Bitcoin back is slim unless you report the issue to the authorities.
A user once made a report about the exchange scamming him after they declared the shutting down of their service.
125  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 02, 2023, 08:53:35 PM
So, to sum up. If a service:

- is taking property and returning roughly the same property,
- advertises itself as providing privacy,
- requires user to forfeit custody of coins,
- and does not collect KYC

is illegal in this forum.

Really sad turn of events for the Bitcoin forum.
I think what we're seeing is no one above the law and an issue like this is what I fear the most ever since a company like BlackRock was powerful enough to control the President file for Bitcoin spot ETF which a lot of people were happy about it and never consider the negative effect of it.
I believe we should tighten our belts for things that will happen next year because if Mixer is banned on this forum I think we should be scared that privacy is vanishing out of the tight air.

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2p market not bitcoin centric on: November 30, 2023, 07:59:09 PM
Some CEX have p2p, but they demand KYC. There are a rich environment of CEXs with multiple payment methods and the most liquid markets, but it is all about decentralization. P2p is decentralized, analougue to DEX. Thats is the way in my opinion.
Liquidity and trading pairs are the major drawbacks of a decentralized P2P crypto exchange platform. However, you never provide information about the particular crypto you want to exchange so we can know maybe it on fixedfloat, LocalMonero, and Crypton Exchange which are platforms I have used and like their service.
128  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please be aware, Bibox exchange is scamming people! on: November 30, 2023, 07:19:45 PM
images of this guys who should be reported to INTERPOL

What you need is to take legal action but I wonder why you don't check the exchange review on this forum before you use it. Besides, I checked their review on Trustpilot it's really bad which means you're not the only user who is the victim of the exchange shady habit.
Please guys always do some research about the platform you want to use, the bull market is coming and this is the season when some theft use different strategies to steal crypto from innocent people.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be intimidated on: November 30, 2023, 06:57:51 PM
Correct. It is really necessary so that you don't rush into investing in bitcoin, especially for beginners. Before making an investment, you should carefully consider the potential risks and possible financial impact. If possible, use funds that won't have a negative impact if lost and consider other investment ideas that may be more profitable.
Although the major advice is to never rush into invest in Bitcoin but with the recent verge where BTC is heading due to the Bitcoin spot ETF filed by the giant investment company, the SEC claiming they are not stopping its approval and some housing cleaning done by the US SEC (by going after the major market player in other for the giant investment companies like BlackRock, Fidelity to be the major player) buying BTC with valuable item is never a good decision if it's something you can afford.
130  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you get malware on your phone scanning QR code? on: November 30, 2023, 12:14:34 AM
You can not get malware through QR code.

QR code also help against clipboard malware because there is nothing to copy to clipboard.

But if you are using QR code for payment, always check and recheck the payment address to make sure that you are sending coins to the right address. It is good to always still assume that hack can happen.
There's a possibility of getting Malware on phone through QR code scanning if the link provided after the code scanning is coded in a way that will redirect users to websites or links that are malicious.
I think we just need to take extra caution when dealing with online activities because technology is advancing every day and online theft is implementing new strategies.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: November 28, 2023, 10:23:41 PM
I remember ZIL but it seems that it is out of hand right now and the popularity of it that has it gained before wasn't taken cared of by the devs.
I may not agree with what you said since the Dev are doing their best in some areas that have to do with upgrades in service and mechanism.
I believe what the project lacks is marketing and crypto community engagement.
132  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bit.store card on: November 28, 2023, 09:36:35 PM
As nothing really negative was said about them here, I will give them a try soon!
Don't decide to use the debit card service based on the conversation made here you still have to dyor.
From the OP's message, he was looking for people to review about the card provider and all the feedback provided about the card provider should be seen as an experiment since there's always a chance for an exit scam for no KYC platform.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ? on: November 28, 2023, 09:03:52 PM
First off, you need to use a wallet that gives you the option to set a custom miner fee. If you are unable to set your own fee rate, then your wallet will do it for you which will always be a problem because they tend to be imprecise.
Using a Bitcoin wallet that provides the custom transaction fee is not totally the solution if it does help with transaction confirmation.
I believe the wallet that should be used is bech supported.

Second, you need to avoid sending bitcoin on chain if you are able. There are a multitude of tools and services that enable you to send bitcoin on a second or even a third layer.
If you avoid the use of on-chain Bitcoin and choose to use side chains then what you going to have is a token that is not the real BTC. An example wBtc.
What we need is Schnorr signatures and Taproot.

134  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Binance on: November 27, 2023, 09:20:06 PM
sec wins!

after the battle they had over ripple which they lost I thought they would lose this one for sure.
I don't know what you mean by the SEC wins. Although, CZ pleaded guilty to money laundry but his hearing is still tomorrow and that's why he was told to remain in the US before he sought permission to travel which I don't know if he was granted permission.

Well CZ plead guilty so he lost as he is guilty
that would mean the sec wins.

When a government agency is going after you and you plead guilty most people would say the government win and the plaintiff loses.

CZ is a convicted criminal by his own admission.

Does this mean I think he is bad evil etc. No it means he lost the case.
You have a point but I believe he pleaded guilty just to waive the right to a trial but the lawsuit appears to be far more than we think because the US SEC's latest statement was that  CZ committed an FTX level of fraud.
What I am surprised about the whole lawsuit is that much information is not provided as to the reason why the SEC believes CZ committed the SBF level of offense.
Having said that, I starting to believe BlackRock has something to do with the lawsuit cause they want to be the major player in the US crypto market after the spot ETF approval.

The story can be considered complete, close the topic
The topic should be closed because want it?
This is a decentralized forum and since the story behind the reason why the topic was created is still in development automatically the topic is not completed.

136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are new altcoins being too risky? Current market trend on: November 27, 2023, 08:43:42 PM
I am active again after a while and a lot has changed but the apathy of tier two altcoins remains same and it's absolute sham because most of the tier two altcoins have hit rockbottom and to a point of no return and some trusted coins like LUNA, FTX, Celsius, and BlockFI etc where people have lost their life long savings and on the other hand we have tokens like Solano, XRP, XLM, BNB, ADA and Matic who are heading on path of recovery.
How do you judge altcoin tier?
I believe he judge the altcoin tier base on the community support level and foundation of the altcoin creation. If you look at most of the altcoin he listed some emulate the concept used to create Ethereum (example SOL, Matic) while some did have get community support base on it decentralization or core fundamental creation.

Regarding failed coins you mentioned, there is one thing in common that is those were into finance stuff (Luna on it's own was good chain but pegging ust to it, destroyed it) while the survivors are into pure blockchain stuff (except bnb, which is related to binance, cz resigning affected it).
No, every crypto is on a good chain when it havent reach it's max usage. ETH was once sees as scalable crypto when it havent reach it max usage. For Luna and UST which is now USTC if we looking into the concept and utility of the project you'll there's no way it will survive in the long run.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community Stablecoin - Idea on: November 27, 2023, 08:16:09 PM
Instead of regular centralize stablecoins, why we don't have a stablecoin with its own blockchain or a token where anyone can mint or redeem that stablecoin using ONLY Cryptocurrencies at the market price.
I think you're not getting the point, the creation of a stablecoin that will work the way used said is not the problem but how it will survive in the long run.
Have you ever wondered why we never have a decentralized stablecoin in the entire cryptocurrency market?
Every stablecoin is just a copy of fiat currency, instead, focus on the creation layer1 stablecoin focuses on something that will help the Bitcoin network.

139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If i have 1k how to trade future on: November 25, 2023, 10:35:58 PM
If ihave 1k how much to use margin for safe trade

To hold position for say two days

And which safe laverage to use
Margin for crypto trading is never a good form of trading due to the market volatility and more.  Besides,  there is no way can be 96% accurate with your market analysis.
It is better to always trade with the only amount you can afford to loose and I see the margin form of trading as the way of greed cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: November 25, 2023, 05:01:37 PM
I also believe that the bear market is over. We bottomed at $16,500 and since then, albeit with ups and downs, the price has been rising to where we are now. At the point in the cycle that we are at, with the halving in half a year or so, I think it is quite unlikely that we will go down to $20,000 or so, which would make us think about the bear market again.
The $16,500 may be the bottom price but the bear market is not over until next year, judging by the previous market the Bitcoin trend will be up and down until it's next year when there will be enough pressure in the market which will spring up the rally market.
