Looks like my wallet cant connect to main blockchain. Only 1 active connection (sometimes no active connections), lot of minted coins... have we some forked blockchains?

Hi, don't worry when you sync back up your stakes will be safe.

I looked in some logs and only thing I could see recently is someone maybe changing their clocks early for daylight savings and getting rejected blocks, could this be the problem for you?

Anyway you can first try to run the newest client with a new CP: (can delete peers.dat may help)

https://github.com/philosopherstonecoin/philosopherstone/releases/tag/165

If that doesn't work you will need to delete everything but wallet.dat (and .conf if you want to keep that) and use the fast blockchain download/bootstrap also available at:

So the Quark team is back?  Grin

It's around yes, but it has kicked out that scammer kolin evans aka digitalindustry

Yes I see now he has not been active.

His username was banned from Bitcointalk and it was a hero account, so he made a new one, a newbie one maybe that doesn't give him the incentive to post comments lol

Something like that.  There were allegations his account was sold to somebody else who has been using the account to scam.

Not even sure if it was a legitimate allegation in the first place, wasn't the guy always a snakes' oil salesmen?

Well maybe he will return, I enjoyed some of his posts.

More importantly, has the time of Quark finally come, once more?

Decided to create subreddit, after all, we need some publicity. Here it is:http://www.reddit.com/r/Spreadcoin/. Please add it to the OP.
Nice, added to OP.

Has anybody contacted poloniex to list SPR?
I contacted all major exchanges and several small ones. Some added SpreadCoin to voting list, some replied with something like "thanks for contacting us, we will review your request", some just ignored it. Only AllCrypt added it (I didn't contact BetaShareX, they added it by their own initiative).
I don't know why no mainstream exchange platform has listed SPR Huh

Because they are all pay to be listed.  Some have voting, but more often than not you'll see coins added from no where. Unless you can overwhelm the voting or have higher volume on the existing exchanges. Social Media would help to get attention too.

dNote

Why so quiet?
I have stron believe in DarkNote but those days of silence aren't good for the project.
As far as I remember today web wallet should be released. Am I wrong?
What about POS implementation? Is it going to happen?
I think that before POS implementation all things announced in Roadmap should be done first.
Don't let me down!

>o_

PS. I really liked THE DUCK Wink

yes, DarkDuckNote ? DarkNoteDuck ?

Yeah, no bueno....

Well, noticed another issue with the XDN wallet. Sending a payment of 10k XDN says the payment is too large, produces an error and doesn't send. Sending 5k still said it was too large, but I clicked again and it sent...

Maybe it's dust inputs, just send smaller amounts until it goes through. Maybe you mined lots of dust?
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [QCN] QuazarCoin | Full anonymity | Privacy&Data protection | Egalitarian PoW on: October 29, 2014, 07:08:41 AM
Important update!

Blockchain now occupies 450 Mb instead of 1.3 Gb because it has been transferred from the RAM.

Nice!

Fees are destroyed to offset inflation (1 PHS per 100k)[/b]

Hate to tell you this, but this small transaction fee HAS NO IMPACT on inflation.  50% inflation is offset by 0.0001% fee?

Define inflation.

I see this on mises.org

"Inflation is a general increase in the money supply. One of the effects, that may accompany inflation (and is sometimes confused for it) is a rise in prices called price inflation. A similar, but opposite effect in kind is deflation."

I am not certain how this coin uses the term inflation. But i think to use money supply or you could call it "stone supply", expansion.  I don't think this tiny fee will cancel out 50% interest rate what i wanted to get across.

As posted, fee destruction is meant to offset PoS 'inflation', not cancel completely (and also reduce bloat to a small extent). Perhaps you have a suggestion or improved wording?

I previously thought to increase the fee by an order of magnitude or more , as PHS is not designed for micro TX anyway, but it was never in demand and not well received by the PHS community. (hardfork) Cryptos are highly deflationary in nature due to lost wallets, coins, technical problems, etc. A fee to completely 'cancel out' PoS 'inflation', would result in deflationary death spiral, obviously, when this is taken into account.

Point taken, however, In that we could clarify the OP for the 'low hanging fruit' among us, I.E. "1 PHS per 100k" may be too technical.  Although the required arithmetic is quite trivial.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Pull coins out of Poloniex? on: October 29, 2014, 03:21:47 AM
I think Poloniex is registered as a MSB in their state and they don't deal with fiat anyway.

I owned a US broker-dealer for 7 years... and have read 100s of these types of letters.

If you read the 2 FinCEN letters issued recently...
They make it absolutely crystal clear that a crypto only exchange qualifies as a "money transmitter"....
And fails the tests to get an exemption from the registration and heavy reporting burden.

As for Cryptsy, they identify themselves as FinCEN MSB Registration Number: 31000028408333
Which is the federal registration and likely needs variable followup in all 50 states...
We are talking a 7 figure annual budget for legal, compliance and accounting.

http://www.fincen.gov/financial_institutions/msb/msbstateselector.html

Thank you, do you have info on other US based exchanges, and their current status?

Yada, yada, yada!  Cheesy

The US government doesn't lead the whole world. Why should all other countries follow the actions of the US?
In some countries crypto is accepted as "private money" and as long crypto currencies are paying their taxes for their business transactions, nothing will happen in that countries.

Good ole' Germany for example! Grin

I think you misunderstood my comment. I've referred it to OP's post spreading panic because of the action against crypto by the US government only.
I'am not against the USA, only against spreading FUD or panic about crypto.

So if i made you upset then i'am really sorry about that.

apologies, it would appear my sarcasm has been lost. It's a good video none the less.
