Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

$500 Example: PoS vrs. Mining Hardware

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=PHS_BTC

Buy brand new GPU/ASIC  or Buy $500 in PHS:

Hardware:
1. wait for it to arrive
2. set it up+
3. Babysit/monitor it 24-7 until it dies , is outdated, or starts a fire
4. have additional electric and cooling costs, noise, and more, If you ever see ROI

with PHS:
1. Buy PHS
2. Send to wallet
3. You are now accumulating weight!
3. You'll notice stake payments around every 9 days, sell or compound a few times.
4.  BONUS - no noise,. no heat,. no huge electric bills

Did you Know?

Reducing Orphans when Staking can maximize Compounding Interest?

When minting, to reduce occurrence of Orphans, i.e. "?" blocks & wallet bloat, please

MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER TIME IS ACCURATE

In Windows simply,

1) click clock/date/time bottom right
2) click change date time settings
3) Click Internet Time Tab
4) Click change settings
5) Make sure box Synchronize with internet is checked
6) and click Update now (make sure you get success message , may take multiple clicks)
7) Time should be correct Now

Ubuntu / Nix terminal
Code:
sudo ntpdate ntp.ubuntu.com

Ubuntu / Nix terminal
Code:
sudo ntpdate ntp.ubuntu.com

That sets time once and then it starts drifting into the wrong direction. To enable NTP service so that it constantly readjusts clock speed:
Code:
apt-get install chrony

Let it run for some time, then
Code:
chronyc sources

System-specific time drift is stored in /var/lib/chrony/drift .

I do love the 50% proof of stake. If anybody thinks I was being unfair about this coin I wasn't trying to. I was just expressing my frustration with crypto in general. Since then I have invested in PHS, if anything it's got a killer name.

This forum moves fast and there is really not much in the moderator department (unless you do it yourself), but I was putting it off for months so here we are, even though I'm not really a fan of moderated posts, it's a must on here now.

nice to see this coin is not fully dead yet

Not fully dead?
This is the best coin i have in my portfolio and its so stable that i can backup my money with it Smiley
I see a big future for this.
The only little problem: Only one market. But thats ok with this low volume, i hope it stays that low and no pnd-groups take over.

Thx Palmdetroit for your work , new style also looks good Smiley

Greetings

Yup slow and steady. There will be more opportunities for everyone in the future when we see which decentralized trading/cross coin trading is the most stable, ofc that is a goal and will be added to PHS at the right time.

One direction,
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Atomic_cross-chain_trading

"The problem of atomic cross-chain trading is one where (at least) two parties, Alice and Bob, own coins in separate cryptocurrencies, and want to exchange them without having to trust a third party (centralized exchange)."

Ooooo sexy wallet

Is this 1.6.5 wallet newer? What are the changes?

Hey CL,

This will be the first in a serious of updates, I tried to split them into about 100-110 at a time, in this one we have, about ~ 100 updates

Goal is to keep PHS relevant to the times and  keep up with upstream, and also prepare PHS for it's unique future to set it apart.

Notable changes are Fast Stake, click-able buttons ( as requested) ,.. new and improved menu options,.. wallet improvements, well here's the list:

Ooooo sexy wallet

Is this 1.6.5 wallet newer? What are the changes?

Hey CL,

This will be the first in a serious of updates, I tried to split them into about 100-110 at a time, in this one we have, about ~ 100 updates

Goal is to keep PHS relevant to the times and  keep up with upstream, and also prepare PHS for it's unique future to set it apart.

Notable changes are Fast Stake, click-able buttons ( as requested) ,.. new and improved menu options,.. wallet improvements, well here's the list:

Damn! You've been busy Grin

So I guess I need to rearrange my high PoS love ladder to HYP > M > PHS/CAP/HBN Grin

Very interesting to see such quiet behind the scenes development!

no PPC or BC in the mix?  Cheesy they have good dev teams.

PHS seems dead to me Tongue
HBN killed it

I guess we all have our own definition of what "dead" means.. anyways, I wish you as much success with HBN as we will have with PHS  Smiley

I do love the 50% proof of stake. If anybody thinks I was being unfair about this coin I wasn't trying to. I was just expressing my frustration with crypto in general. Since then I have invested in PHS, if anything it's got a killer name.

+1

I sent a pm to thj, it has nothing to do with him.

Concerns and questions, as always with PHS, are great and encouraged, and crypto holders of any crypoto should be well informed.

Just need to have some form of moderation on an un-moderated forum, where scams are frequent.

Not sure I will moderate often, as shill posts entertain me greatly.

Fees are destroyed to offset inflation (1 PHS per 100k)[/b]

Hate to tell you this, but this small transaction fee HAS NO IMPACT on inflation.  50% inflation is offset by 0.0001% fee?
