121  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: September 06, 2016, 11:16:05 PM
This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?

Teaching kids about bitcoin is not easy because they will start asking many different things and probably at least once you will get stucked because it's hard to explain something like bitcoin for a short period of time, especially when we have to talk about encryption, hashes, transactions raw etc. But at least telling them about their game coins (or pokecoins recently) would be much easier.

Asking more questions from us is more better as because of that more ideas will come to our mind and for that we will start to learn more about that questions and we will increase our knowledge more about bitcoin.

Somehow it can help us thinking deeply on those questions and make new ideas from these and this is how other ideas sometimes are invented. My idea to show the bitcoins as pokecoins is a good idea to explain them the power of bitcoin that you can use it as a digital currency and you can buy digital and physical things with bitcoin.

122  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: September 06, 2016, 11:07:52 PM
I don't usually buy bitcoin but when I do the price crashes after that, don't know how this happens but I don't invest in bitcoin for a long time but when I did in the past the price crashed immediately at that day. Why should we buy bitcoin is that bitcoin is going to be famous and when the block size limit will be increased in the near past the bitcoin will be more popular and hopefully the bitcoin price will be increased.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: September 06, 2016, 10:36:56 PM
Is there anyone who has booked the profit by selling the btc when the price was around $400 ? I have some coins but missed the opportunity and the prices are down again. I was hoping that the price will go beyond $500 but unfortunately it crashed.

I didn't made any profit nor I lost when the price touched $400 because I'm still holding and I planned to hold more for a longer time. I didn't even sell when the price was more than $700 so will never sell under this price as much as I can. The bitcoin price sometimes gets manipulated but I have decided for myself to not sell the bitcoins under 4 digits.

125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another way to invest Bitcoin without Mining on: September 06, 2016, 10:17:50 PM
Cloud mining was and is always a kind of scamming at the end, I haven't seen any good cloud mining that has been operated for long, you can see cointellect or anyother cloudmining which had a very large popularity but the end was scamming the users. Reading franky1's post #4 is funny and very true at the same time. What you can do is joining the altcoin trading world and for the beginning you should experiment with your money, you will learn from mistakes and ask people how to trade. Otherwise if you have the opportunity trading bitcoin to fiat that would be good too.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Omicron - Dividend-Issuing Cryptocurrency - 24 hrs left for 25% discount on IAO on: September 06, 2016, 10:03:47 PM

From what I see this is different from the normal ICO that happens with altcoins right? What will happen after 17th September when we send our Omicron addresses and receive the coins, when can we expect to see omicron listed in exchanges c-cex or yobit at least. I'm trying planing how much to invest so I may need this info when would I be able to start trading.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: September 06, 2016, 06:32:54 PM
Wait for XMR to crash and buy the dip, then wait for the next pump and you'll double your money.
if you trust XMR that much. then why don't you do that yourself? I know XMR price increased very much(not like bitcoin but). but this price increase is often with any altcoin.. anyone who invested already will get profit. but new investor can get profit. it is hard to predict.
128  Economy / Reputation / Re: Red trust spam from user tharani (48 times today) on: September 06, 2016, 06:30:34 PM
What a waste of useful server space and resources. Anybody who has contributed to the Bitcointalk forum financially would be looking down on this user disapprovingly.
I think everyone just wasting their time here. you can simply ignore him by clicking the ignore link in his post. there is nothing to worry about his trust feedback..
LOL.. seeems he removed my feedback.

131  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your least favorite thing about Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2016, 07:39:39 AM
My favorite about the bitcoin is that the amount of users is growing that much that the coin will be atleast a 1000 dollar each because so many people are using him right now i think the future would be very great at the moment.

We still don't know when the price will be 4 digits but recently the bitcoin price has been increased for more than 30USD. But the target of 1000 dollar is too far from now but it is not impossible.

The thing that I hate in bitcoin world is the scaming, nearly all mining sites are scam even I am a victim of such SCAMER. But out of 10 I have only 1 hate to bitcoin rest all factors are good in bitcoin.

There are always websites that scam people and this number is higher than the real one which pay. But we have to make a research about where are we spending our money and if we can't find anything we should ask the our community if anyone had any experience with them.
132  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2017 Year of the Bitcoin on: September 05, 2016, 06:49:13 AM
For 2017, i don't think it will be a year of bitcoin. Because there is no big news on 2017, but we don't know though.

So you already know the news for 2017? Care to share?

Rico

The development of the bitcoin has slowed a lot recently. I think the trend will continue in 2017. So the price will not rise much.

Maybe the more cryptocurrencies introduced in the market the more it slow down? It probably creates more confusions especially to newcomers and to most people that have less or no knowledge at all.

Bitcoin will always be there holding some price, but I think 2017 will be the year of altcoins and we will see many new and innovative coins launched by that point.
I want to be agree with you. altcoins are getting huge appreciation already. and upcoming year will bring another milestone for them.
bitcoin is pretty much stable. but altcoin doing a great job here.
I am seeing a lot of altcoin raising millions of dollars in their ICO rounds.. live examples are ICONOMI, Antshare etc.
133  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2016, 03:36:25 AM
As most of the women of our country remains in home so they could easily make $50 monthly justb by posting in forum and little trading. I we could show then the path they would definitely join bitcoin.
but to me the most of the women who remain in home are just house hold wives and not too much educated having no computer education or know about internet, therefore it is not easy for such kind of women to earn from bitcoin.
now is a new era. every woman has the same chance as well. women are not destined to be a housewife, women as well as men.
they are free to think and do whatever they want.
and I don't think house wives are uneducated. there are lots of educated women who start holding and caring their houses and kids after getting marriage. and I know 1 and 2 women personally who working online while setting in the home.
and online jobs are not that hard specially in bitcoin earning it is not hard to make some free bitcoins in your free times. women can easily do this.
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2016, 02:43:54 AM
exchange for XMR and HODL
Exchanging altcoin is good. not only these coins you mentioned above. there is a lot of coins which are very good, and have potential to give profit to a trader.

Use investment firms, some of them are great ways to increase your BTC.
yes. but no one know which of them. Lol.. if you are talking about online firms then sorry I didn't saw any legit firm to invest.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: September 04, 2016, 09:39:58 PM
Most of people here believe still in fiat because most of us use fiat for most of the things that we buy and sell. Bitcoin is a good way to spend online and to trade with people that do not accept paypal or any other kind of payment, I'm happy that I'm using bitcoin and I believe that bitcoin has more potential to be used in other things that currently is not available unless we use third party services.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Megaupload + Bitcoins on: September 04, 2016, 08:56:00 PM
I don't know guys if you have seen the recent interview of kim dotcom for @RT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQRQdNvja00 Watch at 21:30 where he explains what will be the new megaupload, how will it work, how private will the files be etc. He mentioned also bit cash, micro payments in bitcoin so I'm very excited to see what really he will reveal soon.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: September 04, 2016, 05:09:33 PM
Get a good job, get a life, get even a hobby (except gambling of course), take a look and read some sites with advices to solve this, and maybe it will work fine.
I don't think these type of things will work fine for an hard core gambler who don't want to leave gambling him sefl.
if someone become serious and decide to leave gambling he'll leave it without any one's and anything's help. this is all about well power.
138  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: September 04, 2016, 04:26:57 PM
This actually depends on many things, as on how much money are you earning from it. I'm not an expert, so I am not intending to put my job at risk.
I think in this case you should keep bitcoin earning as your side job or part time job. you can get experience on earning bitcoin and when you become an expert of bitcoin you can then turn into full time in bitcoin. this is the best way I can prefer to do for bitcoin. because I also not able to find a good bitcoin work which give me enough money.
139  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: September 04, 2016, 02:31:59 PM
I have to admit that most probably is better to invest part of the portfolio, in order to make some extra money for yourself.

Yeah investment will give you higher profits in future if you choose right place to invest but its better in compare to saving as in saving you won't be able to grow your money in long run.

but the problem in bitcoin is there is no 100% legit site. at least for me there is no. I tried my hard to find a good site to invest some of my money there and get some profit. but sadly I found all sites are scaming ponzi sites.
so now I prefer to save my money until I don't get a valid site to invest.
140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: September 04, 2016, 09:57:49 AM
Surely I could accept some of it in Bitcoin as well. There are people who complain about the volatility, but it has been much worse in the past, and has improved over the years.
and I believe it will improve more and more in future.. I am willing to accept a small part of my salary in bitcoin as my saving. because I believe bitcoin is perfect for save your money.
I can't accept all my salary in bitcoin because leter I need to exchange them into fiat again to purchase my daily necessary things.

So do you think that your company will pay you small part of your salary in bitcoins? I don't think so and if ultimately you are gonna convert to fiat then there is no point in accepting salary in bitcoins.

He is saying that he would just accept a small part of his salary as bitcoins not all because he needs to buy things with fiat so he cannot take all the salary in bitcoins, but i also think that wont be possible as if the company pays you in bitcoin then it will pay the total salary in that but not in different currencies, so if someone wants to get bitcoins too they would have to buy them after getting the salary or just convert the bitcoins to fiat after getting them from the company.
You are right. a company won't pay half of payment in bitcoin and half of payment in fiat. I just said that as an example.
I mean to say that is we can't accept full payment in bitcoin because it will difficult for us to spend bitcoin for living as bitcoin is not completely acceptable... but bitcoin is good for saving so getting a small amount in bitcoin for saving in future is perfect.
