It actually would be ridiculous if Man United decides to do away with Ten Hag and goes ahead and selects Graham Potter to be his replacement. I wouldn’t exactly call him a failed manager although his time at Chelsea haven’t been rosy either. He definitely wouldn’t be a good pick in my opinion. He would probably be more clueless and probably struggle a great deal more than Ten Hag has. His services as a manager would not be able to give Man United a much needed face lift. I do tell people the Europa league is one of the hardest league's in Europe but some don't agree. In this competition no team is a respecter of the other team not minding how good your performance and position is in your domestic league. It would be agreed that no one will have expected that Liverpool granting it's performance in the EPL will be losing to Atlanta at home soil Anfield but reality right now is that the visitors are hammering Liverpool 3 goals to nothing. It's a disappointing result for the English side and I don't think they can get a comeback on this one as it's 83 mins already played with just 7mins left to full-time whistle. Jurgen Klopp seemed to underestimate Atalanta a little at first, but he really realized that it was a mistake when Liverpool fell behind 0-1 in the first half. Klopp kept several main players such as Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz because he thought the match could be won easily, but in fact Liverpool certainly conceded 3 goals without being able to score a single goal against Atalanta. Atalanta played defensively in the second half, but the counter-attack scheme they developed really troubled Liverpool's defense until they conceded 2 more goals in the second half. It is increasingly safe for Atalanta to qualify for the semifinals even though there is a second leg, but an aggregate of 3-0 is good capital to play at home. Mate! Chelsea - Osimhen speculations are getting more common lately. Chelsea must still have a lot of money to spend despite pouring around 1 billion euros in the recent 2 years. Because I think Osimhen's priority would be to play for a team that is a part of the Champions League next season. However let's say only Chelsea made an official offer for him then I think he would rather join Chelsea instead of continuing to play for Napoli. Hoping Liverpool get a comfortable win tonight so we can concentrate on the Premier League. I’m not overly happy about being in the Europa League so it has to take a back seat to our Premier League title fight.
For a team that has won the Champions League 6 times and been in 3 of the last 6 finals, it’s tough to get excited about the Europa League.
So hopefully a comfortable win tonight so we can rest players in the 2nd leg.
But the Europa League is just as important if Liverpool are able to win because it is certain for next season Liverpool will be in the top competition place in the Premier League. Liverpool should win comfortably so that they can more easily refocus on the Premier League which is still tight, the current thinking is still to win with Atalanta, in their own scenario maybe this will be easier for Liverpool we see the matches that have been running.
