Are there still monks existing...

Well, monk do not existed naturally, it is invented by a bunch of stubborn cults, I do not know monk would go extinct, but they would eventually make a come back since we create monk in the first place, if monk culture is destroyed we can rebuild the monk again, btw monk have always be very hostile toward any government initiative, and never bend over to any government demand.

Quote
The last monk  I saw here in the forum was a digital monk asking for donations  Grin Even the monk needs money.

That is a very disturbing but it is truth. Everybody has to eventually accept digital economy in the last twenty years, monks too have to step up themselves to the digital economy reformation, we would see if the monk would survive for the next decades, it is either the government or the monk, the battle never end.

It is making sense. First we acknowledged that there's naturally nothing like monk. It is a lifestyle initiated by man. So it is still same man that will refine it to either become digital or go into extinction.

Answering Op why money is ruling the world. It is because everyone needs money and it is therefore in high demand and it also solves problems and finally it is in the hand of the government who allocates it and monitor how it should be used. When it shorts in their hands, they will print more of it and life will continue.
1042  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview Of Bitcointalk Contests. on: April 15, 2023, 12:05:37 PM
First, move this thread to service discussion board.

Second, add direct link to each contest, not only about the title because if you add the direct link, anyone who want to participate can easily click it.

Third, you need to add the contest posted in Games and rounds board too because it's still about contest and for Bitcointalk users.

Fourth, I suggest to remove the contest which already paused or closed in the list, why we need to know if the contest is paused or closed?

It is good to include the contest in the games and rounds as you mentioned .
It is OK to include any contests that is paused because an interested user will have an eyes on it to see when it will resume again.
I think you are right for them to remove contests that are ended or closed. Because if they have to include closed contests, it means they will trace back to when the forum started.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 13, 2023, 08:49:49 PM
Right now my focus is still on Manchester United's match against Sevilla and for other matches I monitor the live score. But it's quite interesting to see the game between Leverkusen and Union Saint.
Union Saint actually stole my attention this time. they are definitely not a favorite club but before that they pulled off a surprise and now facing the bundesliga side they are already 1 goal ahead for their away match. Even though this is still not a complete victory because the match is still going on but it looks like if they qualify for the next phase again it will be interesting for Union Saint.
Man United looks like a really big favourite to win the Europa League. Today game was really impressive from them. I'm glad to see such a big team in form.
Manchester United is no more serious after they scored the two goals in the first half. They thought that there is no more competition and the guys relaxed and unfortunately for the coach of Manchester United already removed his star players and now Manchester United is into a very tight corner where their defender Malecis successfully aided their opponent to score a goal which is now a boast and there is still time for Sevilla to come back which means there will be problem for Manchester United in the return leg. Again, Manchester United super defender Martinez is injured.
1044  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: April 13, 2023, 08:33:02 PM
That is depending on you willing to be a monk, no kid, no wife, no house, no govt id, no job, no car, own nothing but owe everything, then you would not need money, and you would discover a new world that is not ruled by money, in fact when you are being a sole breadwinner to the family, making money is your only life goal left, you would earn all the money as a breadwinner but you would eventually surrender all your income to the family.

Are there still monks existing who do not care for money or family?
The last monk  I saw here in the forum was a digital monk asking for donations  Grin Even the monk needs money.
Money is rulling the world. If not money know that it is power that is rulling the world. Both money and power belongs to the government and they are highly centralized and manipulated and that is why money is ruling the world.

5yrs is a very big number of years. When the account was banned back in 2018, didn't you create a ban appeal then? If you created, won't it be nice you bump the topic so that the moderators would have points to base their judgement.
You would not be unbanned based how long you have been banned or based on sympathy.
You must be able to convince the moderators by compelling how you have helped the forum in the pass.
I saw you offered services, how diligent were you.
For the sake of your services can you accept signature ban only?
I wish you good luck

tell them how we are coming up with a welcome development how the supermarket will soon start accepting bitcoin as means of exchange
From your previous topic; Bitcoin as means of exchange in happy day supermarket I have to believe you already implemented bitcoin payments in your supermarket even though the pictures provided gives no indication that the supermarket actually accepts bitcoin. The Supermarket looks small and can’t possibly have more than two workers, training two persons on how to send and receive bitcoin shouldn’t be a problem.
Op has said about the supermarket of a thing more than two threads and I had to view the image he sent in this former supermarket picture and the supermarket is small. And being the manager he needs to understand that an employer is not the same as the owner.
He could run into problems accepting bitcoin, especially problems of account balancing and managing the volatility of bitcoin. And also problems of who to bear the transaction fees.
Op also know that there is a difference between bitcoin and bitcointalk.org. The first is the currency while the other is the forum. It is not difficult to belong to a forum and excel.
Explain things to your colleagues and don't hype such they they will sink their salary in bitcoin and may regret it later.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 12, 2023, 08:02:09 PM
The first goal has been created now and Madrid excelled through Benzema's goal some time ago.
It will be even more difficult for Chelsea if they can't get out of Madrid's rhythm because looking at the current conditions it seems that Madrid are very comfortable with possession of the ball and the attacks they are carrying out.
On the other hand, with this 1 goal, of course I don't think they will be complacent and this could be the start for a few more goals in a match that is still a long way off at the moment.
yeah right. There's still plenty of time left for the first half which is now in the 30th minute. Chelsea must be able to get out of the pressure of Real Madrid if they are to be able to balance the current position. because overall Chelsea's game is still quite good. but if they let their guard down then of course Real Madrid could score again in this match. first of all Chelsea's front line players need to be more confident to build their attacks to be more aggressive.

The first half is over now and looking at the stats for the first half it seems it was exactly what everyone had predicted.
Madrid is still too strong at the moment for Chelsea, who are still experiencing leaks everywhere. The first half completely belonged to Madrid, whether it was in terms of opportunities or ball possession and of course 1 goal was also a plus in this case.
Real Madrid was supposed to get more than 1 goal if Valverde was not selfish and if Kepa was weak. Actually Chelsea had a very good formation to match the Madrid team.
Having Chilwell and James in the flank to play box-box was a good option and also having Kante lock the midfield was great. What actually was lacking for a natural 9 who is a sharp shooter to convert any opportunity.

In the second half, if Madrid continues to dominate Chelsea, they may get like 2 more goals which will make Chelsea totally hopeless in the returning leg. But for now let's see what Lampard will do with the Chelsea team for the second half of the match.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 12, 2023, 06:26:07 PM
Chelsea defence and midfield is good enough to withstand the pressure of Real Madrid. With Kante and Enzo in the middle is a force joined with Kovasic. That is good enough to stand Kroos, Modric and Kamavinga.
The formation of Chelsea 3 man defence : 5 man defence is good because Chiwell and James have the pace to play box to box and reserve energy.
One important thing that Chelsea is missing is a standing 9 who is a sharp shooter that can get goal anytime in the match.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 12, 2023, 04:24:04 PM
Most persons purchase  most items using Bitcoin transactions I am of the opinion of hodling instead of spending pls is that a positive mindset?
You and those that spend their Bitcoin holding still have a positive mindset toward BTC since it was created to be the mainstream of payment and an asset. If BTC is not used as a payment method it can't be mainstream payment and if it's not holding for the long term it gets the needed demand to be the world's most profitable asset.

We can just say bitcoin is money and whether you save your money or you use it when in need is upto you. If your income is large you may never touch your savings for any reasons. But if your income is small, you will struggle to hold for a very long time because the need to use your bitcoin will always arise and that will make you spend your bitcoin.
You cannot have health issues and hospitalised and your only money is in bitcoin and you refuse to sell your bitcoin and treat yourself. That is not acceptable.
So treat bitcoin as money.
1050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is more paying? on: April 12, 2023, 03:55:45 PM
A Bitcointalk forum or a White-Collar job?
On this day I and my friends had a lengthy discussion on this case, and many ideas were coming up in the course of the discussion. Also, I noticed that a few of my friends do not believe in all these online jobs and they were throwing hotful words about they said a Government job is more 10x better than this nonsense forum you have been talking about all day they also call me a fool and I told them I know they are more things in this so-called government job like retirement pay and all that, but I said to them this forum is 100x better than that white collar job and also told them about Bounty and Signature and one can learn about crypto trading and I told them sometimes is not about the money is what we gain in the future form this forum, and I also told them that almost all the retired people I no today have nothing to show for it no money and the fucking government are still owning some retired old men some die and they they not get a piece coin from the government, I told them that all my household will ever be in this forum in the future.
Guys, what did you think?
This has actually shown why so many people are here and what they think here is all about. How can you say being in a forum is 100x better than having a government job?
Maybe theymos would need to explain to us if here has become a company and I would like to buy a share.
Op, go and look for a stable job. Forum is for learning and sharing bitcoin knowledge.
No doubts we earn from here but it shouldn't be seen as a regular job. Making a maximum of 25 posts per week is such an easy thing do to and anyone can do it during the bed time.
So, as many have said, don't rely on forum earnings please.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 11, 2023, 08:35:17 PM
High rythme and the game between Manchester City and Bayern Munich is all about mistakes done by each team. The result is now 1 - 0 for City after 63 minutes of the game and the result could be even higher.
Bayern has a problem between the defence line and the midfield. Their control there is not very organised. Musiala isn't in his best moment.
As I see any of these teams could add another goal at any moment.
I am not opportuned to watch this match because I am on a long distance transit but the result I saw as City is leading by 2 goals is what I expected and nothing less.
I wonder why Mane was played from bench and he is now introduced and I know he cannot change the game by now. Manchester City is not a team you make a come back at easily.
It is better you score them first, but when City scores first. It is a big problem for anyone to come back.
I expect there to be both teams to score before the match ends.
1052  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What advice do you give a newbie? on: April 11, 2023, 07:51:14 PM
As you can see, I'm a complete newbie; tailless and headless. I have no direction and I seek one. Educate us on the dos and donts of the forum.
How is growth measured here?

First understand that here is a discussion forum, so you are not under pressure to impress anyone and nothing like you failed. You are not in competition with anyone.
While other forums discuss other things, he discuss bitcoin as the name implies. You can also discuss altcoins, politics, gambling, economics, trading etc in thier various boards.
As a newbie, appear as a newbie such that as you grow in the forum you grow in experience and bitcoin knowledge.
If you really want to last long here do not plagerise (to copy other people's one claiming it to be yours).
Do not spam and do not check. Abide by the rules and you are good.

1054  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest money you can't afford to lose out of greed. on: April 11, 2023, 06:05:53 PM
.
In fact, I would advise newbies to stay away from altcoins and only invest in Bitcoin in order to be on the safe side of the game, as there will be many shitcoins that will not recover after this bear market.

As a beginner, don't be overly eager to invest in any project without conducting your own thorough research.
The worst thing any Newbie could do is invest in an altcoin he or she has no concrete basic knowledge about, as there are a bunch of scam coins now in the market with very high volatility looking for those that may unluckily fall victim, because though next year we expect to see another Bitcoin halving, which has a potential causing an increase in its price, it's advisable everyone invests an amount he /she can always afford to in Bitcoin,  so that if in case the market price value doesn't go as planned, you don't panic about selling your coins at loss.

There are some risk that you will take that will benefit you life is all about Rick's how can you make it when you don't want to take the risk. Life is all about Rick's do you know how many people that have taken weeks to get what they want
One thing we also need to know is the process by which the newbies were introduced to the system. The first person that tells them about cryptocurrency and investment wins there heart and it is possible that the person may be an altcoin fan because they are many these days. If that be the case, it will be very difficult to reconvince the newbie to believe only Bitcoin.
However, altcoin investment isn't bad because it has made many millionaires in the cryptocurrency market. But where it becomes bad is when the newbies doesn't understand the risk behind it. But for he that understands the risk and abide by it, there's nothing wrong with altcoin investment.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 09, 2023, 07:41:29 PM
Harry Kane has been playing almost all his life at Tottenham Hotspurs, hasn't he? I wouldn't see why he would suddenly switch to another club like Real Madrid or another club in Spain/Italy. From a sporting point of view, he is of course improving, because Tottenham Hotspurs is no longer the team that can compete with the absolute top in Europe. Every year the question is whether you can qualify for the Champions League. But Kane has spent his whole life in London, I can imagine that you don't want to leave that behind just like that. Besides, I don't think he earns too bad at the Spurs. He would also be a great fit for a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona, but in Italy you have more choice if you want to play in a top team.
Remember there was when  Harry Kane wanted to leave Tottenham desperately but the management held him down because of one gentle man agreement he signed.
Later on he wanted to leave again but Konte came and game him hopes of trophy and now Konte is out of the club without any trophy. I don't think that there is any joy that will hold him back anymore in the club if he actually wants to leave.
1056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get merits on a post. on: April 09, 2023, 06:10:38 PM
OP, I see that this is your first post on the forum, and that you became a member only a few days ago.
So instead of introducing yourself to the forum community, and sharing your interests, your first question is about merit.
By using the simple search option, you would find hundreds of such questions on this forum and immediately see the answer.
The answer is very simple. If you want to get something, you have to give something first, and what that depends solely on you, your knowledge, experience, interests etc.

There is nothing wrong in asking how to get merits because merits is a very big part of this forum. It is something we cannot shy away from. Without merits ranks would be stocked and stagnant and the forum may become boring.
Everyone in the forum needs merit and it is good to know how to earn it legitimately.

Op, you get merits when you make quality posts and quality posts are the posts that provide information and solve people's problem.

I have been an advocate of Arsenal will win the English Premier League comfortable. But after today's match with Liverpool where Liverpool managed to drag Arsenal back to draw I have to get a rethink about the possibility of Arsenal being the champions of the English, Premier League.

I have to say honestly about Arsenal's position at the top of the table is threatened by Manchester City. It is just 3 points difference if Manchester City will win their next match.
It will be a big disappointment if Arsenal give up at this 11th hour

Congratulations to Burnley

Congratulations to Burnley and Vincent Kompany for an excellent job in the championship and he (Kompany) is coming to English Premier League for another level of challenge to his career.
The day I tried watching Kompany and Burnley was the he played against his former boss Guardiola. Honestly, I expected some wonders but I was disappointed at the end

1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is how i researched about bitcoin. on: April 07, 2023, 11:40:16 AM
what's your story?
Your story is different from mine , Yet here are some kind of similarity. I did not just stumble on bitcoin on the internet rather I was informed about bitcoin by my friend, but instead of him telling me to invest in Bitcoin and continue using bitcoin. He rather told me that I should instead invest in altcoins. That bitcoin is too expensive. That I could not afford it at this time.

It was because of his advice that I missed investing in Bitcoin when I knew about it. However, the rest of the story is a regret, but I am into it now.
1060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics supposed to be for the old ones? on: April 07, 2023, 11:23:52 AM
In some countries I believe that the set of people who runs political affairs are the old ones and is really worrisome, talking about age range 70yrs and above. Like in my country where I'm from these set of people (politicians) just feel they are the only ones fit to run the country and you find it hard to see someone between the age of 40yrs and above to rule as president or any higher position, is really outrageous and irritating. Why is greed speaking more in politics? Must every politician(s) think only about themselves other than the citizens?

I really don't blame most countries that engages in protest year in year out, nobody would be happy to have guys who ship in money into the development of their own businesses other than developing the country.
I'm some African countries such as mine. Politics and positions is for the old and it is like a family business where inheritance is vital. These old leaders do whatever is possible to remain in power, including reducing their aged and by swearing false affidavit to justify it.
They manipulate the electoral system to always favour them even when the masses vote against them.
They launder and lavish public funds for personal purposes and yet they are being praised by the poor and gullible who they enslaved with slavery .
They remember the poor masses once every 4 years which is during the time of the election.
They keep changing youths as the leaders of tomorrow while we are already in the morrow.
