1101  Other / Meta / Re: Can I merit a banned account? on: March 22, 2023, 04:05:08 PM
...
Merits are meant for deserving posts not minding if the account is banned or active. It is funny to note that it is impossible to know if an account is actually banned or active by mere looking at a users profile, So no penalty whatsoever comes with meriting a deserving post. Quality and uniqueness should be the aim of giving out merit so if a post is deserving irrespective of the account's status then it is all fine.
It is correct that merit is giving to the post and not minding the account that made the post. And it is also correct that you may not know a banned account by mare looking at it, unless you use some third party extensions and you will know that such an account is banned.

I remember when I was new in this forum that Ratimov had to help so many of us to rank up to the next level. But sometimes so many of the new people he help got banned and he was topping the list of users that merited banned account.(I cannot remember the thread)
But the consequences was he sometimes had to drop in the list of generous users in the forum. But that has not stopped him from helping people to rank up.

When it comes to bitcoin wallets is totally a kind of private pants for females and boxers for male.
Do women actually share their pants? What's the possibility that it happens?
When something is private because of hygiene is different when it is private because of security and trust.
If you are married, you can share everything including wallet keys with your loved one so that your coins will not lost when you eventually die.
While some people will decide to be private and remain private even till death.
1103  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which one would you rather work for on: March 22, 2023, 03:32:59 PM
If you are called upon to work for a decentralized exchange like Uniswap or Binance exchange which is a Centralised exchange, which offers will you grant yes? Assuming the payment or salary is the exact same amount every month which one will you prefer to work for and why?

I will like to work with CZ, he is a smart human being and I know I have many things to learn from him when it concerns smartness, business and risk taking.
Working in a decentralized exchanges is good for people who want to contribute and keep the decentralization active especially when the code is open source.
But I doubt the pay of a centralized exchange like Binance would be same as decentralized. I think centralized should pay higher.

Na beta topic you carry come for here. Girl pikin get plenty limitations. No be for only African and Nigeria, even in the whole world. But wetin happen for Western countries be say dem don make some kind laws wey go protect female children rights.
But for we country dem no dey enforce those kind laws especially when e concern poor men.
Girl pikin dey too much vulnerable for we society. When you see guys wey dey plus up, na mostly girls dem dey use because we see them as weaker vessels.
But female piking like Okonjo Iwuala suppose make people understand say female pikin make sense pass some male pikin dem

Liverpool will also have to do their best to make something of it at the top this season. They're not doing as badly as Chelsea, but they can't possibly be satisfied. In the CL they are no longer participating. But maybe they are still able to put in a nice final sprint, so that they can at least secure the CL. Then they have a mediocre season, but not a bad season. They could be doing Arsenal a great favor if they are able to win against Manchester City. Liverpool is one of the few teams that should be able to put a result on that.
Liverpool s a top team still and big teams becomes really competitive when they have another big team to face but, Liverpool winning Arsenal or Manchester City in recent standings, its going to be next to impossible as these teams are way off giving any points at the time.
Arsenal have git just the league to take for themselves with this impressive run and form they've had and Manchester City have the Champions league though, they don't look good to compete and win but somehow, Pep still sees a chance in ghe Premier league and that's not something they would let out any points for.
Liverpool after the 7:0 win over Manchester United, gave us the impression that they are unto something but, they are just as bad as before.
I do not think that Liverpool will be able to explain what actually happened to them this season.  Liverpool really does not appear as weak as Chelsea in this season Englesh Premier League. The major problem of Liverpool is inconsistency, and that actually can be said to be ignited by the departure of Mane. Liverpool can sometimes become strong to beat Manchester City and also beat Manchester United as big clubs, but immediately after winning this big teams the preceding week, a really weak and small team will win Liverpool. That is the major challenge they have been facing this season.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 21, 2023, 11:42:25 PM
Anyone willing to stake high on Chelsea to win against Real Madrid is a real risk taker and deserves recognition because comparing stats of both teams this season, Real Madrid are a better side than Chelsea and we know how Real Madrid performs in the Champions league games. I doubt Chelsea will win and progress to the next round.
Staking on Chelsea to win Real Madrid is a high-risk stake that I will never try because both clubs are not of the same level in terms of performance both here and after, it will take Chelsea some years of consistent improvement before there could match up to Real Madrid's standard.

-I won't imagine any one taking such a risk, even though football is an unpredictable game, but the chances of Chelsea beating Real Madrid are very slim and nearly impossible.
The risk is not that risky for real risk takers. I have actually involve in a debate with someone who tried to convince me how Chelsea will surprisingly win Real Madrid.
I was surprised how he came up with his analysis and conclusions. He brought up recent h2h and showed me that it is only Chelsea that is an English club that knows how to play Spanish teams.
He also told me how Chelsea nearly eliminated this Real Madrid last season, forgetting that Chelsea was in good form that last season compared to the bad form they are this season.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 18, 2023, 11:15:39 AM
I can see that many people are confident that Chelsea will pull surprises against Real Madrid and likely win them. But I don't believe that. Chelsea cannot do that against Real Madrid in their present form in Champions league.
We all know how commited Real Madrid used to be in Champions League matters.
And also we know how poor Chelsea has been this season. Struggling with injuries and coach inconsistency.
Even if Real Madrid is to clash out of the champions league, it is not Chelsea that will eliminate them, maybe some other teams.

1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a treasure. on: March 18, 2023, 09:58:16 AM
Good Day medium, there is something I will want us to be aware of since bitcoin is a life-changing investment some people are taking it as property, I say this because I overhear someone making a call and saying he has 2BTC and that's is his property.
Now that bitcoin is more valuable in most countries, that shouldn't be a property it should be an investment, those who see bitcoin as property should learn more or read more about bitcoin and how it works.
To me, bitcoin is an investment and also a treasure, I don't know if am wrong or right.
But if someone may ask you, what do you call BITCOIN?

Bitcoin is currency.
I mean bitcoin is money.
Anyone that has money can call it their property.
Anyone that has money can call it their treasure because they treasure it.
So, there is no contradiction anywhere. The most important thing is to own bitcoin, you can call it whatever you want thereafter.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 18, 2023, 09:26:11 AM
Nottingham Forest is now on 14th place in the league and they could lose a few places today. With all the money they have spent for new players, they still have a hard time. They have spent almost 200 million euros, and the players now hase a value over 300 million euros. So they earn good money when they sell, but in the league they have it very hard. Yesterday they lost the game against Newcastle United in the last minutes, Isak's penalty wasnt fair, Nottingham should have got the one point.

Nottingham Forest being in 14th position is not that bad to me, seeing that this season is so much unpredictable and seeing good clubs like Liecester, Everton and others struggling to escape relegation. It is even good that we praise Nottingham Forest for coming from lower division and not showing sign of relegation.
Signing many players should not be the criteria to judge. What is the quality of the players they signed. Did they sign anyone equivalent to Haaland or Mbappe?
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 17, 2023, 11:06:45 PM

Arda Güler is a great young football player. He plays for one of the most competitive teams in Türkiye, but all the fans of other teams respect him. Watching him makes me really happy. I hope he turns into a world star. He has so much potential and definitely deserves to be on this list.

In addition, UEFA also makes some posts about him and draws attention to him. https://twitter.com/EuropaLeague/status/1613144315928231937
Eden Hazard appeared twice as two clubs are interested in him. The two clubs are Maimi and Fenerbacer. I am not pleased that top clubs didn't go for Hazard. Being a flop in Madrid does not mean he would be a flop in other top clubs.
I honestly did not like the idea of him going to unpopular leagues. Although Fenerbahce is popular in Turkey but that is not a club for once a balloon d or expectant.
My prayers is with Eden, specially as no love lost between him and Ancelotti
1112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Few ways we can better our society. on: March 17, 2023, 10:55:05 PM
Everyone of us constitute what a society us today, we must understand that we are all interdependence on each other directly or indirectly, the society is a place where the people lived together and share things like ideas, food, money and relationship in common, the peace inna society lies in the way we handles each others need in the society, that is also why we have some community heas that guide the evenly conduct of human affairs in the society for coordinate purpose.
The society is made of everyone of us and our environment. As part of the society we must make sure that we keep our society safe for everyone than not caring about other and there impact to improve the lives of others and the environ.

The society is becoming worse by the day and if we don't keep to rules and guard the everything for betterment then we might be doing the wrong thing because if things go wrong then, we all going to face it back to back like how people suffered during the covid-19 period.
Society is the larger unit while individuals is the contributing units to the larger unit. The societal overall standard is determined by the behaviour, acceptability and responsibilities of the individuals that makes up the society. Where everyone cannot be good and everyone cannot also be good.
But for a better society, the number of good should exceed the number of bad and this can be achieved by adoption of cogent and coherent laws that are maintainable and also flexible
1113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How's your bitcoin lifestyle? on: March 17, 2023, 10:35:08 PM
Although there is a very big difference between the life of a celebrity like a musician and a bitcoiner who holds no social status. It is quite a difficult task for celebrities to live a private life. I some times feel for them because even in the mall or eatery or shopping stores you will see people will always want to record a celebrity with or without their consent.
Why so many people like such a lifestyle of always been in the news, some also detest it. I do not like such a life and I do not also present myself to be into Bitcoin unless my Bitcoin friends who know.
This is because in my country you can easily be called a scammer when you make or receive payments with bitcoin.
1114  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: March 17, 2023, 10:23:47 PM
Right from on set the warning given to everyone looking to invest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency is to invest an amount that they could hold for a very long term. Although I don’t know how when your friend invested into bitcoin but had he bought around at $67k with his $2000 he would have more than $400 currently at the current price. Except he sold all at the $15k mark.

Regardless of the loss the easiest way to be patient in holding is to invest what you can lose and not to sell when the bearish period hits. And when you buy just try the DCA method during the bearish period and this is the perfect time for it
I have checked that possibility of reduction from $2,000 to $400. It is very unlikely unless his friend sold bitcoin at some points. It is either OP just quoted any figure he wished or he was told a non existing story or his friend exergeratted the story of what happened.

Meanwhile how did OP know that Bitcoin is not rising any soon even when bitcoin crossed $26k few hours ago. With bitcoin anything is possible and achievable.

1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a change in people's views? on: March 16, 2023, 09:47:23 AM
No, the traditional financial system that adopts cash payments will continue as usual even if the majority of the population puts all their money into crypto. Traditional payment systems are more commonly used by all levels of society, from the old to the young.
Payments using fiat can be made anywhere, even in the most remote places that are not covered by the internet network. Imagine if at your place there are no internet facilities for a week, how can you make payments using crypto.?

We all know that in some countries like Sweden many stores use cashless policy. They accept bank cards only. In some countries like Russia you can't sell anything if your cash register is not connected to Taxation Service via Internet (there are some exceptions, but in general it is so). So we are already on the doorstep of a world where lack of Internet makes everything stop. Maybe it is a very risky strategy, but it is implementing right now. So maybe there will be problems with accepting bitcoin in some spots at the moment, but with further development these problems can be solved.
Different countries are making efforts to go cashless, especially developed country. My country tried it this period of our election and it was not easy for the citizens. People suffered and even till now. The major challenge is that majority of petty traders doesn't own account and doesn't accept anything else apart from cash at hand.
This is just bank account, let alone crypto. It means that people are going to lose their money because of errors and inability to secure them.
Meanwhile, fiat must always exist
1118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 16, 2023, 09:33:52 AM
I really feel great when I hear about the investment stories of other people. I mean, finally, there were some people who followed their guts and invested in the coins when everyone else had trust issues. Now they are able to make the maximum profit out of it, and I really feel proud of their brave decisions. If I were in their place, probably I would not have the guts to invest in the coins, which don’t have a certain future. Moreover, back in the day, before 2018, Bitcoins were severely considered illegal. So yes, it is always great to hear people’s stories about bitcoin and how they are getting benefits from it.
Some of the stories of Bitcoin I hear from people are actually emotional especially from the beginning of the stories. It is always a story of from grass to Grace.
Always a story of taking some risk.
Majority of people who believed bitcoin when it was worth nothing were not having much money. They were people struggling to survive so they had to make the sacrifice and it profited them. Because people that had  money might not be concerned about something that doesn't even have value.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 15, 2023, 10:54:38 PM
Southampton are going to have another tough game against Tottenham this time. They did a really good job against Manchester United previously and got one point at least. They even had potential to win that game as they found so many opportunities to score after that red card. But I don't expect the game against Tottenham to be easy for them either.

Tottenham aren't having the season they want exactly maybe but they are still much stronger than their opponent on paper. Kane's performance would be key factor for the team again here. I think they will win.
Tottenham coach knows too well that he is not meeting up today high expectation of the fans and he is doing everything possible to see himself in the top four at the end of the season. Even his best player Kane said that the target is not top four but the target is to win trophies. This shows that the top four is not even the priority and it will be so shameful if they lose out from the top four. In the other hand Southampton is struggling to escape relegation. It's going to be a very tough match
