1021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How mixer coins works? on: April 22, 2023, 10:04:41 PM
It is assumed that nothing happens to you, but many countries classify mixing service as gray areas, so avoid using them in the future and send your coins to new several clean addresses before depositing to Binance

If you want to avoid a coin being tainted, it is better not to send the whole coins to an address, then to another address. Send it in different amount to different addresses up to five different times at different time interval. Like the example below, but making it more complex will make it better.

Re: How can tainted coins becomes hard to be recognized by centralized services

This can be called mixing after mixing. Because having to send your coin to more than 5 different wallets is a whole lot of work and mixing. Will it not be better that you didn't mix at first and download different wallets and keep sending your coins from one wallet to another.

Well, the idea is that if you send to the exchange direct from the address you recieved from Mixer, you may have issues with centralized exchanges.
1022  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy one time off bitcoin. on: April 22, 2023, 09:48:23 PM
Bitcoin next halving will happen in the 1st quarter of the year 2024, which means by this time next year. People that have witnessed halving and its bull run. Please, I want to know if;
  • Bull run happens few months or weeks to halving
  • Or it happens few weeks or months after halving
  • Or it happens simultaneously in the week or month of halving

I want to know when exactly to buy bitcoin since I don't want to use the DCA system in this purchase. Will market see anything below $20k again?

Judging from pasted experience, we usually have two types of fomo, the first fomo happens few weeks to the halving date, Bitcoin price will increase as people won't what to miss out thinking the price will pump high immediately the halving is over. Usually projects tends to pump towards an event date in the cryptocurrency market and Bitcoin itself is no exception.

After the halving, a correction in price happens as people get disappointed as Bitcoin wouldn't pump as they expected and also the corrections happens as a result of traders taking profits for the gains they have made leading to the halving date. The real bull market starts a year after the halving which is 2025.
This is my first time of hearing this version of story. It sounds interesting and practical. It looks like what has happened before or what came out of experience. I think I will go with this in one aspect. But since I cannot actually wait till 2025, I would follow the advice of people here even when they said it is not an investment advice.
I will continue to be active here, I believe as the market continues to hover, it will be getting clearer on what actually will happen during or after the halving.

1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 21, 2023, 05:47:19 PM
If you ask which Altcoin is good for DCA and long term investment, Of course ETH is a good altcoin choice. However you have criteria for altcoins under $100 you can look at top coins like XRP, ADA, DOGE, MATIC, TRX, SHIB. you can choose some of these coins, but still do your research whether the project can develop properly. For the recommendations that I put forward, it's better to buy bitcoin with DCA in stages, it will provide better profits when the accumulated price shows profits during a bullish market.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations, I really appreciate. Some of the advices I met here are actually what I know and do advice newbies. It is just that I want to take the risk(otherwise saying I want to gamble) and see if I can have financial freedom this coming bull run period. I will still look at the advices given and more especially do my own research before I'll conclude on what to do with my funds before the bull run investment will start.

I have never visited LoyceV report unmerited posts thread.
What I understand about merits is that you will work for it and chase it.
Even if you keep making quality posts without calling the attention of the merits sources to your quality posts, they will go unmerited.
Part of the reason I created that thread was to prove not many good posts don't get the Merit they deserve, but another part of the reason was to actually find those users who deserve it.
Nice to see that the thread have been serving its purpose very well as it has ran into pages.
The introduction of the merit system is one reason here is still enjoyable because I cannot image the magnitude of spam that would have been in this forum. No system is ideal for sure, but my sincere gratitude to those who ensure distribution of merits to keep the system working.

Create merit for yourself by giving it to those who want to receive it.  It's almsgiving to make this forum a better place.
And how do you create merit for yourself?
@firesurfer This is a forum
Account firesurfer is older than mine, and he looks like one of the reasons the Merit system was created. I'm pretty sure the account changed hands one or more times, he gave up typing Indonesian since his password changed 2 years ago.
If not this discovery by you, I was so confused how merit is an aims giving and how one can create or generate merits.

India's population to overtake China, with 2.9 mln more people by mid-2023, UN estimates

It is not nice that my country which has high level of unemployment in the country and high inflation rate and bad leadership is still having population growth day in day out. There should be some law to restrict countries who cannot take care of her citizens from increasing in their population. There should be some kind of sensitization to the rural dwellers that they don't need to be making babies that they cannot take care of and this falls in the hand of the government to implement.
Countries who provides for their citizens hardly appear in this list, yet countries that are not much organised are here with population increase.
1027  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: April 20, 2023, 10:19:42 PM
I don't know why some people in this platform are looking for what to eat at the moment, not know that they can invest in a potential projects that will put food on their table, and they will not lack what to eat and what to spend in future. I saw some message in the Bitcointalk.org where some users are trying to sell their account just to get what to eat not knowing that they can use that account to work to get a huge capital that will bring them out from poverty, and make food surplus in their home. I knew some senior members in this forum that started using member rank to work before they get to legendary to spread many investments around the country, because they didn't look for what to eat at the moment than to work hard to used their opportunities to invested in BTC before they became who they are today.
Will you invest now or you will be like that person that is looking for what to eat? It will be favourable if you can change that attitude of selling what will make you great in future just because of what will survive you at the moment. No way you will invest in BTC today and you will not have something good to eat because, investment is like a seed planted in a due season to expect something good in the future. Is it a good thing to invest or is good to continue looking for what to eat?
What do you think.
People that are selling their account are not doing it because they are hungry, or they are looking for something to eat. It could be because they have more than one account. So they need to sell the other one when they can no longer maintain it. Also, people that build their account from member to Legendary, can you tell me how building their account have made them to invest so much in bitcoin and became rich. One does not need to own an account in this forum before they begin to invest in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.

So there is no true connection, in the write up concerning account selling. What I know is that selling of account is allowed in this forum but discouraged.
1028  Other / Meta / Re: 57 posts merited (by me) in just under 1 minute–What’s got over me? (v 33.0) on: April 20, 2023, 10:02:43 PM
The second thing is that a lot of your posts are in Bitcoin Discussion, where everybody's brain cells go to die.  I did not check to see how many pages the threads in which you made your posts had, but that section is one of the ones that has a lot of spam megathreads--or at least it used to; I don't know if that's still true, but it's always been hard to earn merit there.
I like to post in BTC discussion, especially on the new topics that are good and that are actually about BTC. The problem with BTC discussion board is that members start too many unnecessary topics there, so many of them are not even actually about BTC, and many of them are lies about what they did to aid BTC adoption, these new unnecessary topics dominate the board and push many of the topics that are actually about BTC down and away from where merit sources can see and merit the users who participated in the discussion. There is a lot of good posts being made in the BTC discussion board, but many of them are unmerited.

If you see a really good post and feel it deserves merit, post it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5093271.0 . Loyce is the nicest most helpful guy you could meet here, but make sure the posts truly deserve merit, otherwise you’ll be ignored going forward if you ask him to merit just a typical nothing special post (basically begging for merits is what this means).
Saying about LoyceV being the nicest person to hand out merits could have been doubtful to me but I remembered way back when I needed about 14 merits to rank up to full member. LoyceV located me randomly and handed the 14 merits to me and that was the first and last time I go such a surprise if I am not mistaking.
I have benefit twice from Ratimov ranking up thread. Although I have never visited LoyceV report unmerited posts thread.
What I understand about merits is that you will work for it and chase it.
Even if you keep making quality posts without calling the attention of the merits sources to your quality posts, they will go unmerited.
1029  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I buy bitcoin as a newbie? on: April 19, 2023, 05:45:56 PM

I suggest newbies to visit bitcoin.com and buy any cryptocurrency.
www.bitcoin.com
There are so much controversies surrounding your post. Among all the inconsistencies the one that caught my memory and didn't allow me to ignore is that bitcoin.com is the best place to buy bitcoin. Please where did you get this information?
How where you able to teach someone about bitcoin and cryptocurrency for 3 weeks and yet you haven't taught the person where to buy bitcoin.
The messages are  not connected please,  next time make it more connected and believeable even if it is not.
1030  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: April 19, 2023, 02:40:01 PM
The cost of living that I feel is increasing, currently I live by renting a room in a city close to where I work, I rent a small room for about $ 55 per month, the condition of the room is vacant or unfurnished, a month's food costs and other living expenses around $230 so my total cost of living is around $300 per month.
The cost of living is now very high in every part of the world. This expense has reached even higher levels as a result of the war in Russia and Ukraine over the year. In such a situation, no one can say that their living expenses are low. But since it depends on the location, its cost level will vary from place to place. Where I used to spend $170 to rent a flat now I spend around $240 and other groceries have rise up accordingly. All in all I need at least $500-600 in my area.
Since the war in Russia, Ukraine and the global pandemic of Covid-19, almost all countries in the world have experienced inflation. Due to which the cost of living has increased in most countries of the world.  And even though the prices of goods have increased at a massive rate, neither the employment nor the income of the people has increased much.  Due to which it has become very difficult for everyone to live a good life. and now in every country an individual needs at least $150-$250 monthly to live

Immediately after covid-19, many things changed in different countries. This starts from the way of living, the way doing business and the general way of life.
The inflation rate which started before the covid-19 was escalated by the covid-19. Now the price of living has tripled in most countries and there is not corresponding increase in salary and interest rate.
The cost of living would only be accurately determined by the minimum wage. A country whose monthly minimum wage is below $50 must surely suffer the adverse effect of inflation.
It's time people will begun to relocate to places where the cost of living is not high.
1031  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Resource Control in Africa on: April 19, 2023, 12:58:35 PM
Struggle over normal assets has made Africa the focal point of worldwide consideration, especially during the last 10 years. From oil in Nigeria and precious stones in the DRC, to land in Zimbabwe and water in the Horn of Africa, the governmental issues encompassing possession, the execution, and control of regular assets has disturbed networks and expanded outer mediation in these nations. Such struggle can possibly influence regular asset supply universally, with both nearby and far-reaching consequences.

Africa is believed to be one of the most populated continents of the world and also enriched with the abundance of natural resources, life has it own way for those who had been living in the region, especially the west African part which constitute th combination of both the white and blacks while the other parts of Africa is mostly populated by blacks, but the challenges i see in Africa is the inability to make use of the resources into a finished product, they lack the infrastructural development to process most of these resources and many where left or rendered inefficient to waste.
The inability of African countries and also my country Nigeria to use their natural resources and transform them into finished goods is one big problem for them.
They produce cocoa in large quantity but they don't produce bounvita in large quantity if they atol produce and they have been made to believe that it is good life to live .
Their political leaders are selling them out and using the returns of the raw materials for their personal development instead of public development.
1032  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics supposed to be for the old ones? on: April 19, 2023, 09:10:13 AM
Politics is supposed to be the mixture of both the old and the young in order to make a fair and reasonable policy for the economy.
The younger ones are supposed to be at the helms of the affairs. While the older ones are supposed to be the advisers who will always call the younger ones to order whenever they derail.
This will create a balance because the older ones are experienced and they will make laws that will guide and protect the right of the old people. While the younger ones who are more civilized and digitalized, will make laws that will enhance the progress of the economy in the present technological era.

But when the older ones are at the helms of affairs, then the younger ones become adviserd, you know that something is seriously wrong.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 18, 2023, 11:06:31 PM
I will say in all the top known clubs in EpL, Chelsea is the most unlucky in this. With a poor result in the last match in EPL, they're still losing woefully in the champion league which seems to be their last hope. Chelsea is now brought low to the stage of not being able to score a single goal against Real Madrid. Chelsea has failed to prove themselves as the defending champions of the title.  With what I'm seeing, I'm doubting that they will recover by next season
Chelsea is not just unlucky. Chelsea hasn't done things well let alone to be unlucky. Even under the coaching of Tuchel, Chelsea was struggling and not stable. They managed to escape Tuchel and met with Graham Potter. They also suffered under Potter, but due to some experiences of Potter he wins at some times and also losses because of Chelsea performance.
When Todd was eventually convinced to sack Potter, he sacked Potter but Lampard is not doing anything different. So Chelsea shouldn't say they were unlucky. Their position now is the result of their work and not luck. The people we can say are unlucky is the Liverpool.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 18, 2023, 10:45:59 PM
Napoli didn't fight

I didn't understand what exactly Napoli did today. I choose to watch Napoli vs Ac Milan over Real Madrid because I believed the battle between Napoli vs Ac Milan would be more fierced but I was rather disappointed when Napoli played what I would call an uncoordinated football.
From the 1st minute to the 90th minute, Napoli players refused to connect their key player and their striker Victor Osimhen throughout the match.
It was towards the end of the match, after 90 minutes that the selfish players began to send the ball into the box towards Osimhen. And also the coach of Napoli didn't make any efforts to call his boys to order and that has caused him the champions league, having paraded one of the most inform clubs in the Champions League.
1035  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are hidden signs to look for when you're dealing with a Fraudster / Scammer on: April 18, 2023, 06:43:50 PM
Someone that you don't know in person, and no one recommended the person for you and you just met the person online. It is safe to assume he's a scammer.
Once in conversation with as scammer and they introduced an investment opportunity to you. They would always want to put you under duress, such that you will not have time to communicate with any other person.
They do this by giving you a limited amount of time for the business to be done. And that is a very genuine sign to know that the person is a scammer.
According to Lovesmayfamilis, there is no free thing anywhere.
1036  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FIVE TIPS EVERY BEGINNER SHOULD KNOW BEFORE INVESTING IN BITCOIN. on: April 18, 2023, 06:30:59 PM

You are just a few weeks old in the forum, and you are creating a thread to lecture in the forum. You might be more knowledgeable than most of us but it might not be ideal, to begin with, a lecture thread.

I don’t appreciate it when newbies create threads to lecture people about how to gain merits or avoid plagiarism topics, in my experience most of those accounts that act this way are alts. And I don’t believe forum rank signifies  someone is a newbie in crypto, it only indicates that the person is new to the forum. OP did well to reference the original article, but the topic has been discussed so many times before.

OP I know you mean well, but use the search engine next time to avoid rehashing old discussions.

I am always surprised when new accounts surface and start teaching everyone about how to invest in bitcoin or something similar.
I mean do they actually think that this forum that has lasted for over 10yrs, nobody had actually taught or written about what they came up with?
Some good old users I think are tired of these acts and I see them complain most times.
Anyways, this is a free forum and anyone is free to do anything in as much as they are not breaking the rules.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 16, 2023, 03:05:05 PM
Arsenal have let a 0-2 lead slip at the moment. It is 2-2 and a lot can happen, but I think Arsenal will suffer another loss of points. So you see that there has been a lot of pressure on Arsenal and that they have suffered unnecessary loss of points in the last few games. But they can still win the game, of course. But for City this would be the perfect opportunity to reduce the difference with Arsenal to 1 point in this way. Saka will sleep very bad to late if the game will end in 2-2.
It is official that Arsenal has lost two points today and they are very much under pressure from Manchester City who is 4 points behind them. Manchester City has one outstanding match which I am very sure they would win, that is to say that technically Manchester City is just one point behind Arsenal and while you check at the goal difference, Manchester City has more goals than Arsenal. This is very critical matter, but as an English football fan, I would want Arsenal to win the title for fairness.
They need to keep up, it is too late to give up.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 16, 2023, 02:50:56 PM
Which altcoin can you recommend for me to start DCAing till  halving when the bull run is expected.
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems. I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.
Halving is an event associated with Bitcoin, and therefore if you want to invest in altcoins, linking it to an event related to Bitcoin is wrong, if it is, then invest in Bitcoin.

It is because bitcoin is the market mover and whatever things that happens to bitcoin affects altcoins. If bitcoin halving will truly lead to bull run, altcoins won't be exempted in the market growth.
If I want to day trade in altcoins what I use to study the marker is bitcoin chart and it works for me.

DCA in altcoins? It's not investing, it's gambling, especially if we're talking about relatively young assets. My opinion is that DCA in cryptocurrencies can only be safely applied to bitcoin. Altcoins have no bottom, so all these attempts to average your positions can only worsen your position. Given the fleeting life of altcoin trends, you can forever be left with candy wrappers instead of money.
I know that DCA is for bitcoin but I want to try the gambling but it seems that everyone is not in support of the move.

I am aware that DCA is better in a coin you know will last somehow long depending on how long you have to DCA.
DCA is the only means that is easy for me to buy coins. Which altcoin can you recommend for me to start DCAing till  halving when the bull run is expected.
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems. I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: April 15, 2023, 11:48:08 PM
Mine was BNB, ETH, RNDR, ARB. What about you guys? What do you keep following or watching these days? and why?

I don't actually follow or invest in altcoins but I understand that there's nothing bad in altcoins. It is just like taking some risks because if one altcoin performs very well in the market it can make one rich.
I am about to start monitoring which project to follow against the upcoming bull run.
If you have good altcoins recommend foe me.
