781  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What factors affect life expectancy? on: August 05, 2023, 01:57:49 PM
Third world countries tend to have lower life expectancies and this so because of the high level of corruption in these countries. Citizens of these countries do not have access to good health care facilities and even when there is one, only the average Citizens can afford it, thereby making the poor masses rely on mostly unprofessional medical advice.
Yet, the political leaders and few elites patronise private hospitals or fly to developed countries for proper medical attention.

This same issue of corruption has has put this countries and her Citizens in a state where they don't have access to good and accessible roads, hence, the numerous accidents and deaths recorded.

No proper regulations for pollution and the kinds of food and drugs people take into their bodies. Insecurities also are not well managed.

The absence of basic amenities make people think and pressure themselves too much over responsibilities they cannot take care of and things they cannot and could not afford. They over labour themselves with little or no resting. All this issues affect life expectancies in these regions.
782  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 05, 2023, 01:23:01 PM
The presence of information technology makes many women who successfully become entrepreneurs, of course it is not an easy thing for women to be successful as an entrepreneur, especially in my country that the most important task of women is to take care of the house and children so that women are rarely found to be successful entrepreneurs.

This was a very big issue among the women especially in Africa but now, people have become wiser. Civilization has taken over. Every woman is now encouraged to learn entrepreneurial skills to help survive and compete favourably with other counterparts in the society. Today, a woman who is not into entrepreneurship and worst still not doing any other thing to earn money is tagged 'lazy'. Our society has changed greatly. The role of women does not end in house keeping and home management.

Starting a business/investment from the scratch is not easy but then, it is good to know that women who are actively involved in entrepreneurship are doing well because women tend to be good managers.
783  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying food with BTC on: August 03, 2023, 06:59:58 PM
Do you know of any restaurants and/or supermarkets in the US and abroad that sells food for BTC? It would be nice to avoid Fiat altogether and use BTC to buy our life necessities. The only place I could think of is El Salvador with its acceptance of Bitcoin as legal tender. It's likely every merchant and business there accepts BTC as payment method. I don't know about the US and developed countries. Could someone enlighten me? Thanks in advance. Smiley
Mentioning El Salvador made me remember once the bitcoin City. Sometime last year, I was seeing bitcoin City everywhere in the forum and I am surprised how the wave faded away. I think the bitcoin City was situated in the El Salvador. But then of government was actually in charge, it should be long term project which will develop in a moderate pace.

I also remember I have once read a thread where someone was living only on bitcoin spending. He doesn't spend fiat.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: August 03, 2023, 06:32:14 PM
History doesn't always repeat and nothing is certain in the cryptocurrency market. While there have been historical patterns and trends in the past, there is no guarantee that they will recur in the future. Each market and each cycle has its own special things, it is difficult to accurately judge this. So the story here is just to discuss the fun things, not to believe that it will be an affirmation that the outcome of this market will be in the future. Good luck !
It is not so good that we do without history. History is so important in anything that has to do with speculation.
For instance in gambling, especially sports betting, history is always a very great determinant of the outcome of the event and also in the cryptocurrency industry.

History has always repeated itself. The only reason that history might not happen is a very strong fundamental that is strong enough to destabilize the flowing chart and history that has preceded its occurrence. If everything happens normally in the absence of war, covid-19 or any other unforeseen circumstances history is a very strong tool to determine the price of Bitcoin
785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from cryptocurrency as a starter? on: August 03, 2023, 06:05:34 PM

This is one of the mistake people make in this forum and even in crypto. They join crypto and this forum because they want to earn instantly. I was not an exception when I joined too because a friend introduced me to the forum to come and partake in bounty so as to make money. Thank God after sometimes I discovered the forum isn't for bounty alone but contain some content that can help you grow in the crypto space. I decided to learn and I'm still learning till date. OP, to earn from crypto especially using this forum, you have to learn first. It a gradual process. After learning you can easily write good post to rank up and with this you can easily earn through signature campaign.
I appreciate your boldness to quit the bounty business in order to gain knowledge of the bitcoin. One  thing I have noticed about so many bounty hunters is, once they are into bounty the money they generate from there tends to trap them in the bounty business for so long. It takes decision and discipline to withdraw from bounty when you are deeply into it.

Meanwhile, many newbies like succes but they chase it in the shortest way. A few of them who are smart and lucky scale through whie the majority likely get tired and quit.
786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from cryptocurrency as a starter? on: August 02, 2023, 11:41:21 PM
You can earn in the forum when you have understand the forum and also become a quality poster in the forum, so I want you to know that before you start earning as you were told before you joined the forum you most work out yourself, so that is why you have to make a research before you post and present anything in the forum remember that you have make sure it's meaningful even when you ranked up in the forum before you can be selected in a signature campaign you have to have a good writing style, and when you are being selected you have to write well to earn a merit in order to make your receiving 120 days merit active
Op, is just a starter as he said and as a starter he shouldn't be so much concerned and nervous about earning. He should first learn, with the knowledge of what he has learnt, he can improve his writing skills. When his writing skills is improved, the reward will be merits which will intern case the account to grow to atleast a full member rank. It is at this time that he can start earning from the signature campaign.
But there are others ways to earn in the forum such as running services and charging your desired fee.
787  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy to reach 50 merit on: August 02, 2023, 11:05:57 PM
Earning merit is really hard this days , since there are lots of things they consider for post to be meritable,
I Have been here for a year now, and still have a lot things to learn, but thank you for those who supported me to reach for where I am now,
but for me this is still a long journey, but its all worth it, thank you for appreciating my post, and giving me information's that i don't know, it will help me along the way on achieving my goals in crypto and this forum.
To be able to share and help others, those who only need a merit to reach a certain rank, post your most merit post, other post that you think is meritable is welcome and I'll review your post , please don't get mad if you don't received merit, keep learning, and don't get frustrated on setbacks.
Congratulations for your achievement and most importantly for understanding how difficult it is to earn merits. It is only when you have understood a problem that you will solve it. I understand the feelings when you have stayed for so long in the forum, but  the people who seems to be newer are having good growth than you.
I can say luckily, you have started receiving attention because your merit count has increased from 50 to 56 after creating this post. But then it is not all about the merit count or rank growth but your growth in bitcoin knowledge.
788  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Who be the first Nigerian that joined Bitcoin Talk on: August 02, 2023, 11:28:51 AM
So my "I wan know how e started" spirit come up with the question of who is the first person wey identify himself as our country person to join BitcoinTalk
The first Nigerian wey join bitcointalk dey different from the first Nigerian wey identity himself as a Nigerian for the forum.
I believe your question na the first Nigerian wey identity as a Nigerian in the forum.
Normally, here na privacy forum, e fit be say many Nigerians don join this forum far back when dem create am but dem no talk say dem be Nigerians.
Although, I never tey for the forum but when I join and the standing order that time be like say na CryptopreneurBrainboss be the first person wey officially identity as a Nigerian. I join this board when e be thread and na him be also create the thread.

Make I for hear other people's view. Op, you try shaa for your curiosity.
789  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Short holder and long holder who profit most? on: August 01, 2023, 01:51:52 PM
The major thing is that capital of your investment. When you are investing for short term and your capital is huge and after the investment for about two weeks, bitcoin price enter $100,000 and dat means you will make a very big profit and when you dey invest for a long term with very small amount of bitcoin even 10 years the profit will not bog. So the capital of the investment determine the profit u will make.
Two weeks is swing trading. Holding short term should be for months, like 6 months. Over six months investment is long term. Bitcoin can not just increased very significantly in 2 weeks and reach $100000. But in months, it is possible. More possible for long term holders to earn more profit.
We no get any book where dem write tanda full say short term holding is in months. It can also be in weeks. The main idea is that in short term, person fit not get specific time they want cash out. If the coin increase in two weeks, them go cash out. If e happen in 2 months dem go also cash out.

For me and talking about bitcoin.  Na short term investors dey profit pass. Especially if them know wetin dem dey do. Dem go dey buy low sell high till bull run time come and dem go benefit while long term people just dey wait for only bull run. The only thing be say, long term holding dey give peace of mind pass.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 01, 2023, 01:11:51 PM
I will talk about 2 things when a club holds the status of defending champion, the first is in terms of pressure, certainly the club with the status of defending champion will be more under very high pressure, because we all know that winning will be easier than defending the title. And the second is in terms of confidence, of course, with their status as defending champions they are in very high confidence, because they have been able to show that they are able to become champions in the Champions League. The question is whether they will be in which point, the first or the second, if they cannot control the pressure, the title will certainly be taken away, and if they can make more confidence above the pressure they will be able to defend it.
Let me guess your question Sir, although it is too early to say this because we often see different champions in UCL. But I think they (Machester City) may will probably be in the second point, after capable to win trophy the Champions League maybe they can come back to good play again and even more solidly, the winning mentality is already within players of Manchester City. When playing in the Premier League they can also be consistent and can survive as champions again, it is possible they can do it again in UCL.
Looking at it from another angle and especially having Manchester City in mind will let you know that the feeling and assertion you made above might not be applicable to Manchester City. Manchester City is a club that has sought to be the champions of the Europe for so many seasons. They have been so good for all the seasons, yet they were unable to win the title.

Finally being able to win the title should give them the confirmation that they are able to do it and they will be able to do it again in the next season. So it should not be as you have described above. For almost three consecutive seasons,  Manchester City has been the best team in the European Champions League, even when they did not lift the title.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 01, 2023, 12:21:50 PM
Now Fabinho to Ittihad. The transfer fee is accurate to his marketvalue, it look like a "normal" transfer fee. He leaves Liverpool and receives a contract at Ittihad Club until 2026. He will play with Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante there. The transfer fee 46.7 million euros, with a market value of 42 million euros. With 29 years, he kann play easy till 32.

Source: https://twitter.com/ittihad_en/status/1686101863383404544
I am very much happy for Fabinho. If not for this news, I had thought that Fabinho will still remain with Liverpool. He is among such silent bulldozers of the club such as Mane. I know Fabinho will be missed in Liverpool midfield. But then Arab will give him more financial comfort.

We see again and again in every transfer that the passion for football succumbs to money. The money they give is too much for many clubs and too good to say no. But as a football fan, I don't find it right to pay that much. Football is slowly shifting eastward from Europe and there's not much to stop it. In time, if football fans stop watching football because of these transfers, Europe will suffer a great loss. They lose one of the largest entertainment and revenue sectors.

Football is a passion, but this passion can now be bought with money.

I don't understand way some fans meant by passion and choosing money over passion. The way they say it will make you believe that those going to Saudi will be playing basket ball there and any trophy they win there will be for drinking water.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 01, 2023, 11:40:30 AM
I saw some video bad finishing by Rasmus Hojlund while with Atalanta. Actually as a striker 32 times played and 9 goals seems like a not very good statistic. But it looks like Ten Hag has another view. Perhaps his young age is enough to make Ten Hag confident that he can change the bad views of football observers. Many people also hope that Rasmus Hojlund can be Haaland's competitor and be the solution to the attacker's problems. At the moment Ten Hag has several options so Rashford probably won't be exhausted and injured a lot.

I also saw it because I was quite curious about the young players who really wanted to target Erik Ten Hag. In my opinion Rasmus Hojlund just needs the right coach, it doesn't matter if it's already in the hands of Erik Ten Hag. Hojlund could well develop the process would answer it all. So don't worry, it's just a matter of returning to yourself whether you dare to change or not. Because he is considered a talent who has the potential to become Haaland competitor based on several sources that I have read, but whether it is true or not, we will see later.
Something that is very obvious or glarring will always be seen by more than one person. When I saw that very video, I was very much confused about the decision of Manchester United coach to bring the Young lad to the team.
I know he is still young and the Manchester United coach has the ability to make every young player a better player under him, but then my issue is about the amount he was bought.

It is not that there is scarcity of strikers in the market.  There are available strikers in the market, but just that Manchester United does not want to spend much and in the end they still spent much.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin by selling wife's jewelry on: July 29, 2023, 06:47:42 AM
I respect your emotions but i thik it is so tuff 10x profit within 2024. You sold your wife's ornaments and invest on bitcoin i think you will be profited today or tomorrow. But i am not agree with invest on crypto fron loans or Assets return money. I wish you will get big profit from yours wife's jewelry selling investment. I think within short time bull session will start and your investment will hit your thinking and you will get your required profit. Many many good wishes for you.
You said that you support that Op should sell his wife's jewelry to buy bitcoin, that what you do not support is taking a loan to invest in bitcoin or selling one's assets to invest in bitcoin. If I should ask, is a golden jewelry not an asset?

In my opinion, OP shouldn't sell a property that is not his. Besides gold is a good investment. He should leave wife's jewelry because those jewelries make women happy, unlike bitcoin she cannot see or wear to occasions.
794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: July 29, 2023, 06:32:16 AM
That's right guys. And actually everything always requires a long process to get to the stage of success. Likewise in trade. There are many things to understand along the way. And the most important thing is not to take something we are going to do lightly that can make us lose our vigilance. Likewise in trade. Often beginners think trading is easy. and in the end they become careless in trading and difficult to make a profit. No one can instantly become a reliable trader. Everything is sure to start from beginners and some losses. And for those who learn from experience, usually he will achieve success in the end.
Trading seems easy, but this is just the way it looks like, because anyone that has actually took the time to trade knows how difficult it is, but newbies on their ignorance try to trade the markets after just watching a few youtube videos and expect the world to be handed to them, and when this does not happen they get incredibly surprised this was the case as this goes against everything they have read until that point in time, and when they finally realize they have been deceived it is too late to recover all the money they have lost already.
This is why it's always difficult for someone who has tried trading before but not successful to return to trading. But it is very easy for someone who has not tried trading before to run into it even without experience.
Trading looks simple when the process is explained to you, but in practice one needs to be both technically and emotionally sound in order to be profitable in cryptocurrency trading.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: How did you see BTC in future? on: July 28, 2023, 02:07:52 AM
BTC prediction in years 2023, 2024 and 2025

According to my opinion In 2023, the price of the BTC reached $40k expected at the end of the year and the average movement price is between $25k to $28k.
Bitcoin price prediction will continue to rise during 2024 the price of BTC between $50k to $60k and the average moving line of BTC is $55k 2025 also expected that
the Bitcoin price prediction that will continue to rise in the year 2025 where I expect that BTC will brake the ATH and build a new ATH on $100k.

I don't know if I will say that I was disappointed. On seeing a very nice title like "How do you see BTC in the future", I was expecting the OP to discuss about the future of BTC. Maybe whether it will continue to exist or not, whether it will become totally an investment asset instead of currency, whether it will become a global reserve currency.
But going through the body of the post, I understood it's talking about price prediction. Then I understood why the topic is not in bitcoin discussion.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: July 28, 2023, 01:53:21 AM
If btc is legally accepted in all countries then huge number of investors will increase. and the use of btc in various fields will increase.

what is your opinion about this?

No matter which angle we look at it from, if there is mass adoption of bitcoin, the price will surely go up and may likely not drop much again because volatility will surely reduce.

In my opinion, if indeed bitcoin is accepted in all countries, it will not increase in price by $100k. Precisely with not many countries legalizing bitcoin so those who hold large amounts of bitcoin can play the price on the market. However, I am a bit pessimistic if the whole world can legalize bitcoin.
If bitcoin hits mass adoption, the price will skyrocket and most people you consider as strong hands that will play the power may sell all or part of their bitcoin during the price increase.
Then, the whole world doesn't need to make bitcoin a legal tender. They should simply allow bitcoin to co exist favourably with fiat and bitcoin is good to go.

This idea doesn't follow. I mean this fellow cannot join a flowing conversation because something written months ago might not be relevant for current discussion. If I should ask, what happened to his brain. After making the first post, was the user's brain blocked from producing more posts?
There is an ulterior motive why someone would do it, but I believe they are just part of spammers.
So far I'm not sure if I've ever found anyone who did, but what @lovesmayfamilis is talking about is something that may have happened before during an ICO and the bounty exploded.

There have been a lot of bounty spammers gone since the forums introduced the merit system. Many accounts were simply abandoned and only some of them started changing their posting patterns and quality in order to rank up and build a better reputation.
The way people talk about this ICO period, it seems that many shits really happened then. I think it was worse because I have read somewhere that some user alleged that the level of spamming then contributed to why some quality users left the forum. I don't know how true this claim is but I have my doubts. If the ICO spam was much, the spam should be concentrated in the altcoins board and not the forum at large. I mean anyone can ignore a certain board and continue using the forum.

It seems Mbappe has made up his mind not to join Saudi club this summer. It’s unreasonable that a young talented player like Mbappe will want to go to a league that’s just starting to gain recognition. Ehat Mbappe needs at this time is trophies and recognition as the world best. All Saudi Arabia can offer Mbappe is money (a lot of money btw) at the cost of his future. Mbappe knows this and at this point I also feel Real Madrid will be the final destination for Kylian Mbappe.

A player like Mbappe in this situation when he is in his good form will lever choose money and join the Saudi teams instead of playing for top-level teams, Mbappe knows that he can play in Europe for years, and then when he is about to get tried he can join the Saudi teams.

It seems that many things are in the head of Mbappe for now and not the oil money in Saudi. I can imagine some of the things that Mbappe is thinking about. Such as;
  • Being the most feared player in Europe
  • Win the Balon D'or
  • Become a Real Madrid Legend
  • Compete and overtake Erling Haaland
  • Breaking Ronaldo and Messi records
Going to Saudi even for 1 year may cut short these dreams.

I dunno why the "rice" man really gets hyped for his inabilities... To be honest, he's wasn't worth the bargain at all... £100 million for him?.. ahhhh... Too much for a player that barely had himself on coast on his very first match...
The Coach is only doing his best to create a lesser understanding pace between the players - well, that again would be a reason for me to stay-put and give it sometime...
P/s: have you Aksed yourself why city decided to renege?? He's actually a good player that needs alot of attention.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
I have always been indifferent about Declean Rice. I cannot say he is not a good player, if I do so I am not being honest. I cannot also say he is such an exceptional player. Rice is one of the good midfielders you will see in everyday life. Then I can say that he is over hyped and as well as over priced.

There was a day I called my brother and told him that as a coach I will always choose Maddison over Rice even if they aren't playing same position. Maddison can be my utility player and can also do the work of Rice. I do no understand why a midfielder should cost that much when there is no scarcity of midfielders if not for hyping.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2023, 07:18:40 AM
There is no advantage to his career if he plays in the Saudi Arabian league, because he will lose the opportunity to prove that he is capable of presenting the Champions League trophy for his club and individual achievements. Mbappe is unlikely to accept an offer from Al-Hilal and he has frequently expressed his interest in playing under Ancelotti at Real Madrid. Mbappe also made PSG's condition difficult by not wanting to go to Al-Hilal or extending the contract, so that PSG had no other choice regarding Mbappe.
I cam see that Mbappe is in the mission to waste his one year, because with the tough time he is showing PSG, they may decide to bench him throughout next season even with paying his high salary which is not a good option. I would advice Mbappe to go take the big money for one year and return to Europe.

If Mbappe is not willing to sign a new contract with PSG, then next season he will be on a free transfer and he can go to Real Madrid on a free basis. Manchester United and Bayern Munich no longer prioritize Mbappe, besides the price is too expensive and players also prefer Real Madrid.
Mbappe is not too expensive now because his contract is almost ending. Any club in England can buy him. Where the problem lies is paying his salary.
